Author's note.

Welcome! Welcome to my very first fanfiction here. I'm super stoked to be sharing my story to you all, and I hope you enjoy it.

Fire emblem destinies is a self insert (yeah another one lol) of a character into the stories of awakening, fates, and houses. Yes, I do plan to include all three. It's a big project, but something I have so much passion for. I hope to see it through to the very end.

Just a couple of things to note before we begin.

1). I appreciate all reviews, and criticism that is constructive.

2). I don't really have an update schedule. Of course, I'll try to update as much as I can, but there may be times when that won't happen. I'll try to let know if there is any planned delay.

Well, that's it for now! Enjoy!

PART I: AWAKENING

...Ow...

...my poor head...

...C'mon man, get up...

...where am I?

...ARE THEY SAFE?

The man's eyes flew open, revealing their strikingly green color. He swung himself up.

His hands immediately went to the sword on his back before he realized that he was in a soft, sunny field of vibrant green. Quite the contrast to the war-torn battlefield it seemed that he was only seconds earlier. The sword slowly returned to his sheath.

He peered cautiously around. The landscape was almost eerily silent and still, Save for a quiet breeze that blew through his short black hair. There was no sign of the others anywhere. Not even the enemy.

He quickly checked himself, making sure everything was on him. Yes, medical satchel, Message Crystal, And his sword, Kjelto, all there, thank the gods.

Is this a dream?

He bent down, feeling the solid ground and the dew on the blades of grass. He could also feel the breeze on his face

OK where the hell am I?

He looked around, before crossing the field over a small hill. As he squinted against the sun, he make out the outline of a village, or at the very least a settlement of some sort at the base of the valley.

At least I can ask someone.

He set off at a brisk pace, crossing fields of flowers and long green grass. As eager as he was to get back to his own time, or world, or, heck, maybe even universe, he still couldn't help but be somewhat becalmed by this lush peaceful landscape he now found himself in. No flames, arrows or dead bodies strewing the...

...Wait

There was someone here.

Sprinting over to a small hill under the shade of an oak tree, The man skidded to a halt by the side of a young woman who lay on her back, as if she was sleeping peacefully.

He gently laid two fingers on the side of her neck. Yes, there was her pulse. Did she live near the village? Was she really just sleeping?

Well, one way to find out.

He opened his mouth, but was, unfortunately, beaten to the task.

"Hey, You!"

Uh-oh

The man spun around to see three people approaching him. One was tall, with blue hair and wielding a sword at his side. tagging along next to him was a young lady with blonde hair and a sand-colored dress, and finally, a formidable looking knight on a horse, clad in blue armor and leveling a lance at the man's neck.

"Who are you?" The knight shouted. "Why did you harm that lady?"

"I didn't do anything to her, thank you very much" the man replied indignantly."She was like this when I got here! I was trying to help her!"

The man with blue hair pushed past him to lean over the lady still asleep, the young girl tagging behind.

"It almost looks like she's asleep..." The girl mused. "Should we move her?"

"I don't think so." The blue-haired man answered. "Not yet, If she is truly wounded."

"Well come on Chrom! I mean, we gotta do something!"

"Well, what do you propose?" The man apparently named Chrom retorted

"I...I dunno! Just something other than..."

Suddenly with a stir and a moan the young woman blinked her eyes open.

"Hey there!"

"Ah, I see you're awake now. Give me your hand. There are better places to lie than on the ground you know..." Chrom helped the woman to his feet.

"There." The man said, turning to the Knight. "She's fine. Can you get that thing outta my face, Please?"

The knight lowered his lance but not his suspicious glare.

"Thank you Chrom," the woman spoke quietly.

"You're wel-wait a minute, you know my name?" Chrom said in surprise.

The woman froze.

"Beg your pardon Milord," the knight interjected, "but how can we trust these people so soon? They Could be Plegian spies!"

"There's no evidence of that." Chrom stated calmly. He turned to the woman. "Do you know your name?"

The woman was silent for a moment before answering, "...Robin...my name is Robin."

"Robin, is that foreign? Well, anyways, where are you from?" Chrom asked.

"I..I don't remember."

"Do you remember any family? Friends?"

Robin hopelessly shook her head.

"Hey! I've heard of that! That's called amnesia!" The girl piped up.

"Yes, very astute, Lissa." Grumbled the Knight. "But Milord, don't you find it somewhat odd that we happen to find two complete strangers in the field that we are in, One who so very conveniently cannot remember anything about her past?"

Robin shrank backwards.

"Peace, Fredrick." Chrom soothed. "Until we know anything more about them, we cannot accuse them."

He turned to the man. "How about you? What is your name?"

"Daniel." The man responded curtly.

"And where are you from?"

Daniel lowered his head. "With all due respect, I cannot tell you."

"Oh? Are you not from here, though?"

Daniel shook his head. "I do not know... at least, I do not think so. I don't even know where 'here' is."

"Ah, well as far as that goes you are-" Chrom suddenly cut off, frowning, turning his head over his shoulder.

Daniel peered past him and felt his heart sink. The village behind them was suddenly ablaze.

"Darn! The Bandits!" Chrom growled. "They're attacking the village! Come on!" He sprinted away, Lissa tearing after him.

"Milord, wait! What about them?" Fredrick gestured to Robin and Daniel.

"Unless they're on fire too, they can wait!" Chrom shouted back, not turning around.

Fredrick sighed but nontheless mounted his horse and rode after them.

Daniel turned to Robin in the awkward silence. "Well then, I guess we could just-"

Robin tore after the three retreating figures

"...Go...now...ok"

Daniel knew this was his chance to leave. To seek out more help, and return home. And when they returned, Who knew how much he would have to tell them?

He turned around and began walking back up the hill, but soon the smell of smoke reached him, and the screams of women and children. Noises he was all too familiar with.

He hesitated, closing his eyes and trying to push past the terrible images those sounds and smell forced into his mind.

...C'mon...you can't stay here...you need to go, NOW...

...

...

...I really hate myself sometimes...

Sighing, Daniel Arbertherry drew Kjelto and charged toward the mass of flames.

And that's a wrap! The kickoff for this whole adventure! I'm so excited to be sharing this with you all. As you can tell we're starting with Awakening, although it may not really be a surprise. Yes, I am using a female Robin for this arc, as I feel It's just all around more interesting to write around as far as relationships in-game goes.

As mentioned above, I will try to update as often as possible, and the next update should come around soon.

See you all in the next chapter!
