Wow, this show is greatly underappreciated. I decided that Fontaine needed a cool pet, so I gave her a sea snake. May show up in later stories, I am not sure yet.

"Fontaine, have you seen-" Ant started, only to cut off when he saw what she was admiring.

"FONTAINE. WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE SNAKE?! THAT'S MY JOB TO FIND SOMETHING COOL!" He said indignantly, doing the same as her. It was a gorgeous shade of purple, with a relaxed hood and spines that lined the edge of it. Bright teal eyes watched them both curiously, black tongue flicking in and out. It swam around the duo, making Ant grow excited as if he were the pet. The serpent was only about five feet long, and Fontaine was already completely enamored with it...

"Mom, you gotta come see this!" Ant called out to his mother, Kaiko.

"Can we keep it?" Fontaine asked her mom as she studied the snake. It happily settled on her shoulders, watching Kaiko.

"I don't see a reason as to why not. We are staying here for a bit to study the ecosystem." Kaiko replied. "Your new friend will probably have to stay here after we finish, though. For now, let's head back inside so I can get a closer look at your friend." Will suddenly came on their comms, announcing that they should get back.

"Do they really have to do this NOW?" Fontaine asked Kaiko in annoyance as the Dark Orca came into view. Goodness knows what they were after, probably some 'treasure' or something of equal false value.

They found out soon enough.

"NEKTONS! Hand over the treasure you took from the reef, now." Hammerhead roared their name as usual.

"There is no treasure, Hammerhead." Will responded calmly. "Just wildlife."

Fontaine heard something from the Moonpool, and quickly exited with the serpent hidden in her arms. Hammerhead, being the observant pirate he is, didn't notice.

She was greeted by the rest of them, excluding Danny Boy, removing their helmets. "Do you really want to do this?" She asked them, thoroughly unamused.

"Nope, but Cap'n's orders." Finn replied, noticing the snake in her arms.

And then she was very happy that there were cameras in the moonpool room, as the startled, almost birdlike squawk that he somehow managed to choke out while flailing back into the water was the best entertainment she'd had in forever. The rest, however, were less fearful and stalked forwards. She backed up as the serpent hissed, flaring its hood and making them laugh.

They were cut off into shrieks of terror five seconds later as it jumped out of her arms and changed.

No longer were they facing a five-foot long noodle, now they were facing a fifty-foot beast of nightmares. It hissed, slamming a tail into one and sending him into the water as Finn finally looked up from recovering.

He only fell back in again.

The rest of the pirates, now understanding the situation they were in, quickly jumped into the water and high-tailed it out of there. Fontaine could only numbly reach out and touch the massive, gorgeous serpent; as if she were afraid this was a dream. It settled, shifting back into a five-foot noodle, and coiling up again.

"I'm gonna call you Medusa, and you're stuck with me now. Sorry, little one."

Don't worry, Fontaine, she likes you. Griffin gave me the name, but the details of the snake itself are mine. I don't know if I will add any more abilities, but if you want to use this species just DM me.
