Corruption.
No matter how hard the world tries to deny it, it is everywhere. Like a disease, it plagues the globe around every corner, infecting every little thing that shows even the slightest bit of power. Behind every bank, government, law firm, police precinct, every goddamn multi-million/billion dollar company, you name it! There is always an evil mastermind looking to play puppet master, some may even say god, behind the scenes, achieving a sort of sick thrill that comes with gaining a power that can be lethal to many if grasped by the wrong hands. Sadly, as painful as it is to admit, that is often the case. Probably always has been, and possibly always will be.
That... is the dark and cruel reality of this seemingly broken world.
Now, that's not to say that all hope is lost, as there are still those who believe that the world can change for the better, if given the opportunity. Who believe they can end this horrific cycle of abused power and authority, and finally shine light on the world for what it could be; A bright and prospering world for most, if not all, people.
There's one such group who carry these idealistic beliefs and clutches them closely to their hearts, giving them the motivation they need to keep fighting the good fight. Even if their lives are often on the line. For you see, this group wasn't ordinary. Far from it in fact, as unlike most peace-seeking organizations that hope they can make change just by doing pointless protests, this group wasn't so weak-willed as their methods were, to put it lightly, more along the lines of... unorthodox. They know that in order for any good to come of the world, blood must first be spilled. Not just any blood, but the blood of the wicked.
Who are these people that seem so determined to end this everlasting pandemic through any means necessary? Well, if one paid any attention to the media, they'd know. Some call them heroes... guardians. Hell, some even call them cold-blooded killers and terrorists. However, there is only one title that this group will ever acknowledge. And that title is...
Night Raid.
This is their story. Their legacy of how they've come to be the world's only hope for true peace.
And it all begins with one young man... carrying more than a handful of dangerous dreams.
A/N: Well, wasn't that... something. Yup, dumb ole' me back at this site again with yet another one of my silly ideas for an upcoming fic. Now, I don't got much for you in terms of details as I'm still in the process of planning out this story. However, I do only have some ideas in order... kinda. XD But that's about it.
Now, if you haven't already picked up on the hints that I've put in this little introduction, I've switched the setting for this series' world to a more modern one for this fic. Those who know me well enough will probably know that I like to do that to certain series I make fics on. XD Akame Ga Kill just so happens to be the latest one.

Now the harem... That's something I'm going to be careful on for this story, as I've decided that I'm gonna limit this list to five, and only five. Not gonna go overboard with it. I'm still thinking about which ladies to officially put in it, hence the question marks. I'll have it done up by the time the first chapter comes out. Knowing my pace, it better damn well be. XD
