Chapter 42 The Terror Within

Korra slowly woke up with a moan as she found herself in the arms of her husband making her smile before she turned around seeing his sleeping face before burying her face in his chest.

"Morning." Sean said kissing her forehead making her smile more.

"Morning." Korra said before she grins a little as she reached down holding his cock making him groan lightly before she slowly inserted it into herself making her moan lightly.

"You seriously want to do this when you're seven months pregnant?" Sean asked amused.

"Hey if I recall Sex is good for the baby." Korra said making him chuckle lightly before kissing her making her before he slowly thrusted into her to make sure he didn't hurt her.

Korra panted in lightly as her husband thrusted into her gently before wrapping her legs around him as he grabbed her hips.

"Mmm." Korra said as she continued to hold onto him tightly.

Sean then leaned into her neck and sucked on her skin making her gasp lightly before he pulled back before pulling her up a little and kissed her breasts making her moan more.

"It's not my fault I love having sex with my husband." Korra said making him chuckle as he continued to thrust into her gently.

"Mmm. When are you gonna come out? Mommy wants to hold you so bad right now." Korra said making Sean chuckle as he kissed her stomach making her smile.

"Don't worry. You only got two more months and then he or she will be out here with us." Sean said making her smile softly as she held him close.

Soon the two got dressed and Sean got Mimir and Dojo from the other room along with Naga before they went outside seeding Bolin trying metal bending with the Twins.

"Still trying to Metal Bend Bolin?" Sean asked.

"Yeah...But it's not working!" Bolin whined making them smirk.

"Maybe because your not focused because your mind is on a recently made Airbender?" Korra teased making him freeze before glaring at the two making them burst out laughing.

"You don't seriously have a thing for our sister do you?" Wei asked.

"I can't think of a reason for him not to feel something for her." Korra said.

"Besides at least this time his love interest is an actual human being with a soul." Sean said thinking of Eska making him shiver in fear.

"What does that mean?" Wing asked.

"DON'T ASK PLEASE!" Bolin begged making them laugh.

"Still trying to practice Metal bending?" Mako asked his brother with Asami next to him.

"Mako, Metal bending is extremely difficult. No one gets it right away, if they can get it at all! It's not normal." Bolin said before Korra started doing it with ease while grinning.

"Care to repeat that now Bolin?" Sean asked amused.

"Oh sure, she's the Avatar and you both got trained by legends." Bolin said.

"That is so not an excuse." Sean said.

"Guys. It's time to get cleaned up. Tonight's opal's farewell dinner." Asami said.

Bolin sighed at that in pure depression.

"Now I gotta say bye to Opal? This is the worst day ever." Bolin said.

"Oh for gods sakes." Sean said rolling his eyes.

Later

Everyone was at the dining hall as the Chef put down Opal's favorite food.

"Thanks for making my favorite meal." Opal said.

"I'm really going to miss you, Opal. No one appreciates my raw veggie wraps like you do." The Chef said.

"Every time I eat Raw Kale, I'm gonna think of you." Bolin said sadly.

"Whats that?" Asami asked seeing some red stone on Sean's side.

"Oh that. Something I found in the domain of Death. Shows our worst fear." Sean said before grinning. "BOLIN CATCH!" Sean yelled making him do so before an even scarier looking Esak appeared with a crazy look on her face.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Bolin shrieked like a little girl.

"BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Sean laughed pounding the table as everyone burst out laughing. "WHAT...DID YOU SEE IN HER!" Sean laughed holding his wife close.

"Sean!" Bolin whined.

"I couldn't help it! It was just too good." Sean Laughing making him pout while Opal giggled guessing Bolin had some bad experience with other women. (Thats putting it mildly)

"Zhu Li! Bring the, uh, Thing!" Varrick said making her do just that. "Check out my latest invention. An Airbender finder." Varrick said.

"Wait, that can find airbenders?" Korra asked.

"Hand it over ass hat!" Sean snatched it from him before aiming it at Korra then Opal and nothing happened. "What a fucking shock it doesn't work." Sean said.

"I think it's broken." Asami said.

"It's not broken. They need to air-bend into it! How else do you expect it the thing to work!" Varrick asked snatching it.

"How does that even make sense? We need to find them without them getting attention to get grabbed like the queen tried to do." Sean said.

"Oh I didn't even think of that." Varrick said. (As per usual)

"If I could have your attention, please. Tonight, my beautiful little girl leaves for the Northern air temple. Opal, none of us could be more proud of you. You're an incredible daughter, sister, friend, and soon-to-be Airbending master." Suyin said kissing her head.

The twins cried a little while her second oldest just rolled his eyes. (Sora so help me god you call my character a wuss one more time I am going to lose it. Besides If I recall in the first story you said Huan creeped you out too)

"Here's to Opal. May she help lead us into the new era." Suyin said.

Later

Sean sighed as he removed his armor and clothing before getting into bed with his wife who was in her PJ's

"I feel really bad for Bolin." Korra said.

"At least he finally fucking picked a girl who's human this time. His thing with you was more of an honest child like crush." Sean said making her giggle before she kissed him.

"True. And I was already in love with you anyway before I told you." Korra said making him smirk before they laid in bed. "I love you." Korra said.

"I love you too." Sean said before sleep claimed them.

A couple hours later

Sean and his wife slept peacefully as he held her close.

However suddenly Sean's eyes opened up as he received a vision of who he assumed was Zaheer and his group coming after them making him narrow his eyes dangerously before getting out of bed before putting his armor and clothes on before putting Mimir on his side.

"Sean?" Korra asked half asleep before Sean kissed her forehead.

"Go back to sleep." Sean said making her lay back down before he left.

"Something you want to tell me?" Mimir asked.

"Zaheer is here." Sean said.

Zaheer and his group made it near the Estate.

"They should be at the room at the end." Zaheer said.

"So we drug them and then take them." P'li said.

"Oh I don't think so." Sean said above them shocking them as he glared at them.

"How did you..." Ghazan tried to ask.

"Lets just say a mother will warn her child of danger when it arrives. Turn back...And don't ever come after me or my wife again...Or I'll kill you." Sean said as his eyes turned blood red.

"I would listen to him. He's not in the mood." Mimir said.

"No. We came here for both of you. If you would just listen to us..." Zaheer tried to say.

"Ok...You had your chance." Sean said before his eyes glowed before a massive explosion appeared in front of them waking everyone up.

"WHOA!" Korra yelled before getting up and rushed out.

Sean landed in front of Zaheer and the others before all his weapons appeared on him and snarled at them.

"You had your chance now live with the consequences!" Sean yelled before pulling out the blades of Chaos and tried to slash them with the chains attached which they dodged.

Korra and the others arrived seeing Sean fighting them before he summoned the Trident and created a wave of water that went right after P'li making her yell as she was slammed into a wall hard making her growl before trying to blast him but using the Golden Fleece he directed her attack at Ming-Hua who yelled as she flew into a wall.

"This is not good." Ghazan said trying to lavabend him but he used the Trident to cool the lava before it even reached him making him growl.

Zaheer however noticed Korra making him grin before he went after her.

"OH NO YOU DON'T!" Sean roared creating a wall of water to block him from getting to her.

"Thats not gonna work." Zaheer said using his staff to fly over it only to come face to face with Athena. "WHAT!" Zaheer yelled before she blasted him down.

"You would dare to harm my daughter in law and grandchild? You disgust me." Athena said.

"This is not going like we planned." P'li said before the dome began to open up before lightning struck Sean making him growl as he held a thunderbolt in hand before throwing it at Ming-Hua who yelled as she dodged.

"FIGHT ME!" Sean yelled before pulling out the eye of Atlantis and blasted them with lightning making them dodge.

"How many weapons does he have?" P'li asked as they hid behind a pillar.

"Counting the stories...Dozens maybe more." Zaheer said before Sean pulled out the Spear of Destiny before trying to strike them but they dodged before P'li tried to blast him again before it hit making her grin only to widen her eyes seeing the Gauntlet of Zeus that blocked the attack before he charged at her and punched her into a wall hard.

"Is that the best you can do?" Sean asked.

"Brother look out!" Mimir yelled as Ming-Hua encased him in a sphere of water making her grin before widening her eyes as it turned to ice and shattered before he was seen with his most personal weapon the Axe before glaring at her and slammed it down creating ice spikes coming at her making her yell as she dodged most of them before one struck her leg making her yell in surprise before Zaheer grabbed her and ran off.

Sean's entire body began to change before taking on a form of every Element added to it.

"You challenge me Zaheer? THE SLAYER OF GODS!" Sean questioned making him widen his eyes in shock. (Poseidon's Water form but with every element added to it. Looks cooler if you think about it)

"Such power. If you would only listen to what we are trying to do..." Zaheer tried to say

"I've already lost my old family Zaheer! I WILL NOT LOSE WHAT I HAVE NOW!" Sean yelled before he was blasted by another party making him roar before turning to face one of the last three gods. The Daughter of Thanatos. Erinys.

"The God Slayer. The Son of the Ghost of Sparta and Goddess of Wisdom. You will pay for my father's death." Erinys said making Sean roar at her before trying to blast her but she dodged before P'li tried to blast him in the chest but it did nothing as Sean roared at them.

"Whoa." Bolin said in awe seeing him use all his powers.

"I've never seen him use this much power since Loki tricked him into killing his grandmother." Korra said remembering that day.

"Well, he's got a reason to use it all this time." Luke said.

Sean roared as he sent a wave of water at Ghazan who yelled as he crashed into a wall while Erinys slashed him but did nothing.

"The gods themselves could not stop me! What hope do you all have!" Sean roared before throwing lava at them which Ming-Hua shielded them from.

"This is over our heads Zaheer." P'li said.

"I know. We're pulling out." Zaheer said as they tried to leave but Sean stopped them.

"YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" Sean roared before Erinys blasted him in the face making him growl before grabbing her making her scream in pain as his hands burned her before he squeezed tightly before crushing her and absorbed her.

"We're out of here!" Zaheer yelled as he and Ghazan created a smoke screen before they vanished making Sean growl in rage before roaring into the air before he began to shrink.

Becoming human again he groaned before falling to his knees before Korra and the others rushed to him.

"That was unpleasant. More so than the first time." Mimir said.

"Your telling me." Sean said before vomiting blood as Korra held him close.

Later

"This healing herb should speed up your recovery." Aiwei said handing it to Korra who helped Sean drink it.

"UGH! God I fucking hate using all that power in one go. It makes me feel fucking sick." Sean said coughing up some more blood.

"Easy." Korra said holding him close.

"I'm ok. I just need to rest for a few hours." Sean said.

"How could this happen? You assured us this was the most secure city in the world." Lin said to Suyin.

"I don't know. This has never happened before. I don't know how they got in." Suyin said.

"It would seem they had some inside knowledge." Aiwei said.

"Ugh...The Guards. It has to be one of them." Sean groaned out.

"Aye. But which one." Mimir said

"We'll find out." Lin said.

Meanwhile

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" Ming-Hua yelled.

"That I was not expecting. Clearly the stories under sell how powerful he's gotten in the last 15 years." Zaheer said.

"Theres no way we'll ever get close to them now. The second we show up his mother will warn him and protect his wife. We're screwed." Ming-Hua said.

"Zaheer...We don't have a choice. We have to take Ra up on his offer. Or we'll never be able to get both of them." P'li said.

"Not yet. Theres one thing I wanna try before we make that deal." Zaheer said.

Later

Sean and the others were interrogating the guards to see if any of them had anything to do with what happened last night.

So far no one was found Guilty due to Aiwei's truth seeking abilities.

The next one however.

"What was I doing last night?" Varrick asked. "Same thing I always do. From 9 to 10, I check my body for ticks. Lyme disease is a serious killer." Varrick said as everyone was annoyed especially Sean and Mako. "Then I did my nightly Varri-calisthenics followed by 30 minutes of breath holding. I filmed the whole thing if you want to watch it." Varrick said before yelping as Sean's axe nearly hit him.

"Did you or did you not sell out our location for money. You tried to start a bigger war in the South to make money like the greedy scumbag you are not caring who died in the process." Sean said glaring at him.

"It's ok Sean calm down." Korra said calming her husband down.

"No I didn't I swear on my honor." Varrick said.

"I doubt you have any honor. People with Honor don't try to start bigger wars for money." Sean said.

"Aye." Mimir said.

"He's not lying though." Aiwei said as he and Zhu-Li left.

Sean growled at that.

"It's ok." Korra said calming him down.

"I know someone sold us out. I wanna find out who and find Zaheer and shove my axe down his throat." Sean said as the next guard arrived. He was at least a year younger than Korra was.

"Give me your name and tell me where you are from." Aiwei said.

"I'm Hong Li. I was born and raised here in Zaofu." Li said.

"Do you have any knowledge of the people who attempted to kidnap The Avatar and the God Slayer?" Aiwei said.

"No." Li said making him frown leaning forward.

"Did you help the attackers enter Zaofu last night?" Aiwei asked.

"No, of course not." Li said making him narrow his eyes.

"You're lying." Aiwei said shocking him.

"What? No, I'm not!" Li yelled before Sean dashed at him pinning him to the wall with his axe at his throat.

"How did they get in and out! I want answers!" Sean yelled.

"I don't know! I'm telling you, I didn't help them." Li said as Sean's teeth became razor sharp.

"You're a traitor to the entire clan." Suyin said before Sean knocked him out.

"I suggest we search his home for clues." Aiwei said.

When they arrived they searched the place while Bolin was in the kitchen.

"I found something here." Luke said finding a note.

"What?" Bolin asked with cookies in his mouth. (Oy)

"It looks like it's from them. Team Assembled. Ready to rendezvous." Mako said.

"Check this out." Asami said with a book in hand before Aiwei read it.

"These are the Guards log books. All their schedules and routes are in here and perfectly organized including last night's shift." Aiwei said.

"That guard knows everything. We have to get him to talk." Korra said.

"Oh I fucking will. He's gonna be missing a few limbs when I'm done." Sean said about to head out.

"No. Let's give him time to sweat it out." Aiwei said leaving.

Later

The group went back at the battle site seeing all the damage Sean did here from his fight with Zaheer and Thanatos's daughter.

"Wow. I always knew you were powerful with all those powers and all but this...Yikes." Asami said.

"Now you see why everyone was waiting for him for 10,000 years." Luke said.

"Chiron warned me not to use it all in one go until I master all of them. You can see why now." Sean said.

"I don't understand why we're not talking to the guard right now. Every minute we waste here, those guys get further away. I mean, how does a random guard get involved with a group of super criminals, anyway?" Mako asked.

"What does that mean?" Luke said.

"That guard is only 18 years old, and has lived in Zaofu his entire life. Zaheer and his gang have been in prison for 15 years." Mako said.

"You knows thats a good point." Mimir said.

"Well...He could be part of a larger group and Zaheer and his group were the leaders. Maybe he was recruited some time ago." Sean said.

"Kinda like how those Equalists got recruited when we first arrived." Dojo said around Korra's neck.

"We all saw the evidence. It's pretty overwhelming." Korra said before Varrick appeared.

"Maybe a little too overwhelming." Varrick said.

"Hey, Varrick. What are you doing here?" Bolin asked.

"The fuck do you want now?" Sean asked not in the mood for his usual nonsense.

"Collecting pumice stones with Zhu-Li. That battle last night did a lot of damage. But it made some nice exfoliating rocks. And when you got calluses like mine, You take all the pumice stones you can get your hands on. Or in my case...Feet!" Varrick said as Zhu-li rubbed them on his feet. (This is why I feel bad for her. She doesn't deserve that)

This freaked the group out quickly.

"You are disgusting." Sean said with his eyes twitching.

"Ugh. How does she put up with him?" Luke asked.

"I have no idea." Sean said.

"What were you saying about the evidence?" Mako asked changing the subject.

"I was saying that I can smell a conspiracy when I see one. Look, if I was trying to set someone up, I would tell everyone he's guilty, and then plant the evidence in his apartment as proof." Varrick said.

"Oh. You mean like you did to Mako?" Asami asked glaring at him.

"Yes! Just like that. Remember how great that worked?" Varrick asked.

"Hold up." Luke said gaining their attention. "Varrick may be onto something here. The evidence is overwhelming. But Aiwei is the only truth seer we know in this city." Luke said.

"What are you saying?" Sean asked.

"What if Aiwei is the mole and used this kid as a pawn to stale for time?" Luke asked.

"You think he set him up?" Asami asked.

"Well, when you think about it Luke does have a point. I mean we all just took Aiwei's word this kid was responsible. But how can we be so sure he isn't lying?" Sean asked making Korra frown.

"We need proof though." Korra said.

The group headed for Aiwei's house before they walked in.

"Lets make this quick." Sean said as they searched the house.

"Sean?" Korra said making him walk to her before they noticed scoff marks on the floor. "Only one reason for those." Korra said before Sean pulled the shelf back.

A secret entrance was revealed making Sean frown.

"I think we found out how they got in." Luke said.

"No doubt about it. Question is why? Whats the endgame?" Sean asked.

"Aiwei's coming back." Asami said as Sean closed it before he entered.

"We need to talk about the guard." Sean said making him raise an eyebrow.

Offering them some tea he walked to the shelf.

"So, What exactly is not adding up?" Aiwei asked.

"Some things just aren't adding up and Chiron taught us to be thorough. I mean how does he even get involved with a group like this when they've been imprisoned for 15 years?" Luke asked.

"Perhaps through a relative. Or maybe he was bribed. We will find out those answers in time." Aiwei said while Sean narrowed his eyes but did nothing as he and Luke looked at each other. "But if it wasn't him, who do you think it was?" Aiwei asked.

"We're just looking for answers." Korra said.

"And you think you found them don't you?" Aiwei asked seeing the door was slightly open to the secret entrance making them tense. "You have no idea what is coming for you, Young Avatar and Son of Athena." Aiwei said before Sean threw his Axe but he metal bended a wall up making it pierce it before Sean rushed to the door and it turned solid ice before breaking apart as Sean rushed down before seeing a bomb.

"Of fucking course." Sean said before dashing up using the boots of Hermes to get everyone out just as it exploded.

"Whoa." Korra said seeing they were outside.

"Like I said Speed of Hermes. He may be annoying but he was useful." Sean said making her smile before he rushed back inside

Looking inside he found an entrance that collapsed making him frown.

"Thats not gonna help us." Mimir said.

"What happened? We heard an explosion." Lin said rushing in with Suyin.

"Where is Aiwei?" Suyin asked.

"Your goddamn truth seer was the mole who sold out us out. He was lying about the guard." Sean said shocking her.

"I...I can't believe this." Suyin said in shock.

Later

"Son of a bitch had an escape plan all set for himself." Luke said.

"Tire tracks were found at the other entrance." Mako said.

"I'm going after him. I'm gonna end this here and now." Sean said.

"Sean...Are you sure you have to go?" Korra asked.

"Korra they came this close to getting you last night. I am not risking that again. I already put up a special barrier that protects the estate to prevent them from entering. I am not putting you or the baby in harms way." Sean said making her sigh as she held her stomach.

"Please be careful." Korra said kissing him.

"I will." Sean said.

Sean was on Naga riding to find Aiwei and Zaheer while the others were in a Jeep.

Korra watched them leave and sighed holding her stomach.

"You shouldn't worry too much." Athena said appearing next to her.

"It's just...This was supposed to be a simple pregnancy and now it's turned into a nightmare." Korra said.

"I know how you feel. I felt the same way when I was pregnant with him. But worry only makes it worse. All we can do is have faith." Athena said.

"Why are they even after us? Him I can understand since who wouldn't want that kind of power? But why me?" Korra asked.

"I'm afraid I don't know. This group is cloaked in shadow and hides their thoughts well. Whatever the reason I know Sean will stop them." Athena said.

"One last thing...When Sean was horribly injured by Unalaq last year...Was Zeus the one who healed him?" Korra asked.

"No. But I can understand why you would think that. Zeus can fight off the corruption temporarily but it won't last forever. Eventually it will take full control and he'll be like the rest. I won't say who it was that healed him but know the person in question has always watched over him." Athena said vanishing making her sigh.

"Please be safe." Korra said hoping her husband would come back unharmed.
