Disclaimer: I own neither Twilight, Harry Potter, or any of it's characters. This is simply a work of fanfiction.
A/N: I did not post this as part of the Epilogue for Princess Isabella Volturi because it is not the direction I would take a sequel in, and did not want to make people expect that. Just consider this a happy little outtake that takes place in that AU, on Christmas morning. Thanks!
"Okay you can open your eyes now," Alec whispered softly against my ear. I opened my eyes slowly as I felt his hands move down to rest on my hips. I was greeted by the sight of dozens of old books, laid out on our large reading table.
"Oh Alec! They're beautiful!" I became aware that I was jumping up and down and practically yelling due to my excitement, but I couldn't stop! This was the best Christmas ever!
I spun around to give him a quick kiss before approaching the books carefully. Alec had promised to get me some books about the magical world, so I could become more acquainted with the world he came from, even if it had changed substantially since he was changed. I wanted to know everything.
"These are from my family's library in England, you can read them and when you are done, we can exchange them for more!" He looked entirely too pleased with himself and I gave him a questioning look.
"Aro is not the only one with a living family, my love. Jane and I had cousins that have carried on our magical bloodline, and they've done very well for themselves. Of course, having two vampires on their side certainly helps. Especially recently, they got themselves in league with a dark wizard of sorts and we had to help them, but that is beside the point…." Alec trailed off with a shake of his head, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Laugh while you can, they're your family now too!"
At that I stilled. It was true. A small smile worked its way onto my face.
"Can I meet them?" I asked excitedly.
"Eventually, love. Aro wouldn't want you to leave The Queens, and I'm not sure even Malfoy Manor is up to containing all of you at the same time. You would no doubt drive my cousin Lucius insane with your pranks."
I chuckled at his assessment, not everyone could be as indulgent as Aro and the guard. I went back to the books that were assembled. It would take me a while to get through all the volumes.
There was a book on magical creatures, several on the history of the magical world, and several on something called "pureblood" etiquette, and one on the history of prominent magical families.
"Thank you Alec, I can't wait to read these!"
Alec smiled down at me from his taller height, crowding me and drawing me into his embrace once again.
"You're welcome my love" he whispered against my lips before distracting me with his kisses once again.
