Thanks everyone, you guys make me want to continue this story. Enjoy.

Jane hated this, her arm was broken, both the doctor and coach Korsak let her know she couldn't play any sports which Jane hated immensely, she hated knowing that Joey Grant would be taking over for her position, she hated that she couldn't do things for herself.

On the bright side, Maura was always with her, even during the school days, she didn't mind having the help of her girlfriend. They were closer than ever, her and Frost on the other hand had an argument because Jane didn't like that he wanted to talk to her again just because she ended up in the hospital. Maura didn't enjoy the tension between the two friends, luckily they never made her feel like she was in the middle.

It's been a week since the incident, Frank had been bailed out of jail by his mistress, but everyone in the Rizzoli family got a restraining order so he couldn't come anywhere near them, which meant the 'blonde bimbo' as her mom called her came to collect his stuff.

Jane found it hard to believe how much Coach Korsak was around, he was around for breakfast and dinner and Jane could have sworn he was staying over at night. She was the one who suggested he get Angela off of clinging to a loveless marriage, he was hesitant, but after the Frank incident here he was making sure everyone was okay. Jane blamed herself for putting the idea in his head, but her mom was safe and happy and that mattered to her a lot. Even her brothers Frankie and Tommy realized how dangerous Frank was, apologizing for giving Jane a hard time. Jane accepted their apology hoping they'd listen to her next time she tried to tell them something.

Jane was currently doing some homework, with Maura by her bedside, reading a book.

"Hey Maura, can I ask you something?"

"Sure Jane, ask me anything you want," she put her bookmark in her book before closing it, focusing her attention on her girlfriend.

"What do you want to do after high school, like as a career?"

"I'm not exactly sure to be honest, I was going to apply at BCU and MIT, get out the core classes then decide what I really want to spend my life doing. Why do you ask?"

Jane shrugged, "Just wanting to know if you had any plans, I don't have any, I honestly never planned on going to college."

"Well that's your choice if you want that or do something else, I thought you wanted to work as a baseball coach."

"I don't know, doesn't feel much like an achievement. I want to feel like I accomplished something, you know. Make a difference in the world."

"Like joining the military?"

Jane shook her head, "Knowing Frost and Gabriel with military families, being moved around a lot or being neglected almost completely I don't want that to be my life, plus having to go overseas well, I'd miss you like crazy."

"We could always write you know, if I become too busy with college we're not going to see each other much anyways."

"The way you say it makes it sound very depressing," Jane pouted.

"You can always go to college too. I'm sure you can get a scholarship..."

"Not likely when I'm not even going to be playing sports because of my pretty worthless arm."

Maura sighed, going to sit next to Jane on the bed. "You'll get better eventually."

"I just... I feel like nothing is going well for me besides you."

"Maybe we can focus on our future plans another time when you're out of this slump."

"Whenever my arm is healed you mean."

"It's only going to be about six weeks then I'm sure you'll begin to feel better," Maura kissed the side of Jane's head.

"Yeah maybe. I'm glad that I have you in my life Maura."

"Well good because I'm not going anywhere, I promise." Maura moved slightly so she was on top of Jane's lap. "How about I keep your mind on something else."

"I like the sound of that," Jane's lips nipped at Maura's, Maura moved to slowly lay Jane down onto the mattress. "Mhm."

They were in the moment kissing each other for a little bit, enjoying the feel of their bodies and lips pressed together when they heard a noise coming from the next room. A noise Jane never wanted to hear.

"Why does that sound like Tommy is-" Maura asked and Jane interrupted her.

"No please don't say it, he can't be," Jane went to bang on the wall with her good arm and the noise suddenly stopped and Tommy started cursing at Jane through the wall. "Watch your language Tommy!" Jane shouted back.

There was some silence before Tommy came barging into Jane's room, "Why did you have to bang on the wall for? I was busy."

"Yeah I could hear, Ma said you couldn't bring girls over."

"But you can have Maura over all the time, and Ma can be fooling around with Korsak? The one time I want to have some intimacy I get interrupted."

"You're fourteen Tommy, you shouldn't be having sex anyways."

"Just because you were 18 when you finally had sex doesn't mean I have to wait until then," he argued back. "I need to get back now and apologize to her for the interruption. I promise I'll take myself elsewhere, so I don't cause anymore problems just because you're a prude."

"You really need to stop hanging out with Joey Grant, he's a bad influence on you."

"I don't need your opinion Jane just because you can't stand the guy," Tommy turned on his heel and left the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

"Tommy is so frustrating." Jane groaned.

Maura didn't want to get into the middle of the sibling argument, but she sighed. "He's going through a rough time Jane, you said him and Frank were always close, him not being here is probably difficult for him, more than we realize."

"Still doesn't give him a right to be a douche."

"I know Jane, but you and Tommy should work on your sibling relationship."

"I know a lost cause when I see one, Tommy is the definition of a lost cause," Jane stated, causing Maura to frown.

"I don't think that's fair Jane, no one is a lost cause."

"Are you really taking his side Maura?" Jane scoffed and Maura got up.

"I'm not taking anyone's side, he needs to work on himself yes, but you really shouldn't say things in a negative way. I think I should go." Maura rubbed the back of her neck nervously.

Jane shrugged, laying down on her bed, "Go ahead then, go."

"Good night Jane," Maura grabbed the book she was reading and left the room, Jane threw her homework off of her bed with her good arm, cursing. Her good mood was far past gone.

Maura left the Rizzoli house without being noticed and she started to walk on the sidewalk, she was in tears and soon was greeted by Frost who was just leaving his house. "Woah hey Maura, what's wrong?"

"Jane and me got into an argument about Tommy."

"Why Tommy?"

"Jane thought I was taking Tommy's side just because she said he was a lost cause and I tried to tell her that he wasn't."

Frost nodded, "Ah, I see. If Jane's angry at her brothers I learned to just let her be, she'll get over it eventually. Never disagree with her."

"She's not always right you know."

"I know, but I mean this is Jane we're talking about."

Maura shrugged, "I'll just give her some space and time to calm down. Are you able to take me home?"

"Actually I was just leaving to go meet up with Gabriel, he's waiting around the corner for me."

"Don't want your dad seeing a boy pick you up?"

"Exactly," Barry nodded, as they started to walk. "He'd freak."

"You don't plan to keep your sexuality a secret, do you?"

He shrugged, "I'm still unsure what this all means. He's honestly the only guy I've ever, you know, wanted. That doesn't exactly make me gay."

"I see your point, you're happy though, right?"

"I guess you can say that. He makes me feel good that's important."

"I wish Jane made me feel good more."

Frost patted her back, "She will in good time, her life is kinda falling apart right now."

"Shouldn't her having me in her life be good enough? I thought she loved me more than that. I want to be there for her through all the good times and even the bad. I want her to be happy, but I don't know how to help sometimes."

"Maybe you should make this grand gesture or something."

"What grand gesture can I possibly make her?"

He rested his hand on her shoulder, "That's something you'll have to figure out. I can help you plan something, maybe we can discuss at your place tomorrow?"

Maura nodded, "That sounds great Barry," she grinned as they made it to Gabriel's car.

Uh oh Rizzles had an argument, Tommy causing mischief with his lady friend (you'll find out who that is soon enough), Jane isn't handling being broken very well, and what will Maura's big gesture be? I have a sort of idea, love to hear what your opinions are on that matter.
