Mass Effect: Singularity Effect: Revolution

The Batarian Hegemony was in a constant state of failure and poor attempts at rebuilding. Small scale slave rebellions and other lesser caste rebellions were as common as overly expensive food was in the hands of the divine caste, the highest caste who ruled the hegemony with an iron fist and demanded to be treated and ventured as living gods in all but actual worship in name or temples

The Hegemony constantly teetered on the edge of oblivion, a great balancing act against their destruction. But like gravity and the madness that was the hegemony itself, all it needed was a little push.

2 weeks before the battle of Elysium (BBE): Khar'shan slums and ghettos

Operative Kasumi was in her Asari Infiltrator body, one of many helping to get the rebels ready to overthrow the Hegemony before and after [operation clean slate] that would occur in the nascent Elysium shell's star system

She headed through multiple back alleys and various tunnels in the frankly disgusting sewage system (she thanked her body's ability to disable her fragrance sensors) and came upon a specific area of a wall, placing her palm and pushed a square of wall in that popped right back after

After a few seconds the sound of mechanical gears and shifting of the wall could be heard as the hidden door opened. She took a piece of paper holding a sigil of a long crushed abolitionist movement and walked forward and farther into the sewers as red laser sights appeared on her body from hidden snipers

An unknown Asari's voice called out "Don't move!"

The snipers looked over her but when they saw the paper they lowered their rifles and the lasers disappeared

The unknown Asari then came out of the shadows revealing an Asari Matriarch "I am Tel'alah, the leader of this cell. We haven't gotten this far going against the hegemony by being careless"

Kasumi then performed an Asari greeting and said "I am sure Matriarch Tel'alah, by the way I am Celei'a"

Tel'alah smiled and looked at her "Thank you Celei'a. That being said, before you enter I must know how you can help our organization"

Kasumi nodded, a gesture both Asari and Humans shared "I was an Asari commando, an infiltrator to be exact, who specialized in biotics based assasination and biotic melee" "I got unlucky and was captured on a slaver raid"

It wasn't an entire lie as she was an infiltrator but it was a speciation in Kinetics based assasination and liked Kinetics augmented melee.

In all honesty biotics was child's play in comparison to kinetics.

The QGS [Quantum Gravity Singularity] based tech tree, as it had been named, was overly complicated, hard and slow for outsiders [Geth] to master, and relied heavily on other outside innovations in order to advance the Transhuman civilization

The Ez [Element Zero] based tech tree on the other hand was easy to master, especially to the council races who for the most part blindly replicated Prothean schematics and built on those as a base.

As for a pure eezo path it was speculated on simulations that it would grant massive amounts of new technologies quickly and easily but cut off other technology trees due to the overreliance on the extreme amount of uses for the material which would create a slowing of development instead of the stagnation of the destroyer based eezo technology

Tel'alah "I believe you will fit right in. I am sure I can find something for you to do"

Kasumi nodded but knew she have to hold back as her thousands of years of simulated and real experience would be more than enough to overwhelm anybody to the degree she would likely be seen as an Asari matriarch's level in skill. That was even with herself being limited by her infiltrator body.

They walked farther into the sewers before coming out into a large open room that was essentially a ramshackle town. It had makeshift fabricators made out of cobbled together parts and scrap in a corner, large rusted eezo containers in another, a basic hydroponics area, and many other things.

Tel'alah put her hands out towards the town "welcome to liberation, our base of operations and town of the free"

Kasumi looked around "To be honest this is quite a lot more than I was expecting"

Tel'alah looked proud of herself "Yes that is the common first impression, Celei'a. But as I said we pride ourselves on actually overthrowing the hegemony, not being simple terrorists out for revenge. We even do weapons research here"

Kasumi looked at her "can we speak somewhere privately?"

Tel'alah looked confused but agreed "sure but I will be having my personal guards with me in case your someone trying to assassinate me"

Backroom

Kasumi looked at Tel'alah "Alright, the truth is I am an undercover agent of a race known as transhumanity who wishes to see the Batarian Hermongny fall, we've send nemours different agents throughout the hegemony to help guide and arm rebellions"

Her two Asari guards started laughing but Tel'alah silenced them with a hand motion "do you have proof of these claims?"

Kasumi "indeed I do" she took a cloaked bar of silver-grey metal off her back which materialized into visibility. She then placed it on the ground and started unfolding it until it became a roughly doorway shaped structure of sorts.

With a mental command the space in between shimmered and distorted to show the inside of a cargo bay which many large hover crates were seen as one came directly through as the image rippled and distorted before stabilizing back to a clear image

The three Asari looked at device in shock

Tel'alah "alright you may have convinced me of your claims, now what do you actually look like? And how did you get an Asari body?!"

A hologram of Kasumi's Transhuman Baseline body appeared, it was an asian woman with the glowing white eyes that were standard in such bodies, her flesh was also the silver tinged skin of normal transhumanity

Kasumi "this is my original form, my baseline which I was born in" "unlike the council we have no problems with things such as extreme genetic engineering and cybernetics, and other such modifications. If the basic consciousness is transferred within a controllable body of any kind then we see them as one of our own." "As for this body it was created using randomized Asari DNA which we then created flesh for that covers my inflator body's shell"

A hologram of a skeletal mech like structure appeared next to her baseline body

Tel'alah was shocked again "you….you can transfer your minds between different bodies?!"

Kasumi "indeed I can" "by the way, I am Kasumi Goto, nice to meet you" "why don't you look in the case"

Kasumi took the lid off with her biotics to show hundreds of different body armors, kinetic barrier generators, and basic neutron particle weapons of transhuman design but could be created at the citadel's level of technology "this is just a sample, we've got plenty more where that came from"

Tel'alah looked at the insides of the box in wonder "what do these weapons fire? They don't look like normal guns"

Kasumi "they shoot neutrons and alpha particles, the original ones use an antihydrogen-neutron mixture along with some separated alpha particles to combine with the antihydrogen on the 'splash' on impact as it won't do much against barriers otherwise"

"But we decided that was overkill considering a single gram of antimatter is enough to equal the impact of a dreadnaught's mass accelerator cannon and the alpha particle-neutron mixture is more then enough for your purposes as the alpha particles can effect barriers, quite effect against them I might add"

Tel'alah was yet again in a state if disbelief "Your infantry weapons are equal to a dreadnought's mass accelerator cannon?!"

Kasmui "yep, the Citadel was far too quick to dismiss 'primitive technologies' after finding mass effect which led to little if any advancement of technology" she specifically left out the Asari hoarding a Prothean beacon on Thessia which only made the stagnation even worse "we don't use element zero and now look who's the primitives"

Tel'alah "but how did you leave your home system without eezo?!"

Kasmui "For the vast majority we didn't and were stuck in our home system but we adapted around that to create uploading, the transference of our minds, what is essentially a fabricator for organic materials, and effective star mining and nanobot mining technologies. Eventually we discovered how to create artificial singularities with quantum gravity which eventually lead to the singularity drive which acted on an old principle known as the warp drive that was based on bending spacetime into a bubble which moved the ship at FTL speeds while the ship technically remained perfectly still"

Tel'alah "that's...that's a lot to take in…"

Kasmui "That's what the council said too. We nearly gave Tevos, the current Asari councilor, an aneurysm"

Tel'alah "Ha! Serves her right for leaving us here to rot!" "So do you have a plan to help us besides supplying us, not that we're not grateful"

Kasmui "We have plans to destroy all of the Hegemony's fleets, all high ranking military personnel, and the hegemon himself by luring him into a trap. We call it operation clean slate and it will allow you to have a far easier time"

Tel'alah "that would help us a lot...You have a deal but only if the new Batarian government doesn't rejoin the council"

Kasmui held her hand out "very well, we call this a handshake it is usually done as a greeting or over dealings of great importance"

Tel'alah awkwardly held out her hand and shook Kasumi's

Kasmui "now let us begin preparations and coordination with other cells to actually pull together a worthy replacement government and how to field our assets"

...

Matriarch Aethyta was not a typical Matriarch who got laughed at for trying to change the Alamarii council's precious "status quo" better known as stagnation used to retain Asari "superiority" by extracting data from that goddess damned Prothean beacon

When the "status quo" was shattered by the entrance of the Transhumans on the galactic stage she finally had enough and saw her opportunity to ruffle the tentacles of the geriatric council even further

She found some used her resources (and secretly some of Nezzy's) to find like minded individuals to create a new Asari group known as Eclipse who would put actual RD on non conventional places

And she knew just the place to start out and to help the galaxy as well

Her power base would help stabilize the terminus systems and turn it into a new Asari nation not associated with the republics and not the pirate and slaver infested shit hole it was today

But for all that to start, Aria T'loak must die and she needs to steal all her shit afterwards

Omega; Afterlife

Matriarch Aethyta had spent a lot of time on this plan, finding lots of deadly neurotoxin, a cure in her system just in case, and a team of commandos each with a cure in their system too, as well as an airborne biotics suppressant cocktail mixed in with the with the neurotoxin, and getting control over every exit, even the secret ones, and a gas rated full hard suit for her and her commandos

Everything was set in place, time to pump in the gas

As the invisible gas was pumped in through a select few vents and the doors were locked most people were going about like normal and she admittedly felt somewhat bad for the select few innocents in this place she was killing but she would make their sacrifice worthwhile

As the residents of afterlife started dropping like Sur'keshian river dru'uk she gave her commandos the signal to engage indiscriminately

As they slaughtered their way through afterlife they came upon Aria T'loak in a weak biotic bubble kneeled over in the side of the room

Aria T'loak sneered "I don't know who you are but NOBODY fucks with Aria!"

Matriarch Aethyta smirked beneath her helmet "I do, Aylena"

Aria T'loak "Aylena… now that's a name I haven't...gurk!"

Matriarch Aethyta stabbed her biotics wreathed sword through her Aria's heart as she died with a face of disbelief

Matriarch Aethyta then spoke through her comns "Aria is dead, now let's fix up this place and the terminus systems in general to be a actually nice place to live"

After which she then muttered to herself "Unbelievable, why the STG, AIS, or HIB didn't do this already years ago is beyond me"
