Prologue: Collapse
...
It's over.
The world was destroyed despite all efforts. No matter how much 'infinite' power Alaya and Gaia possessed, they were defeated, just like everyone else.
Defence system destroyed. Protection values: -98%
This world failed; there was nothing and no one who could save it from condemnation. Perhaps more could have been done in the past, but there was nothing left to fight for now.
From the beginning it was a battle against self-destruction. It wasn't fair, it was something that happened because of humanity itself. That humanity that Alaya desperately tried to save and who ended up destroying each other, taking the world with them thanks to the decisions they made.
Gaia joined the fight to try and save the planet, the Earth's desperate will for survival instinctively activated. However, in an age where technology was commonplace and mysteries had faded, it did not have the impact it desired; it was also defeated by the consequences of human actions.
The planet was plunged into destruction and in the final second that could happen at any moment, everything would disappear without a trace, including both humanity's protections and Earth's.
0% Forms of defences against threat. Remaining power: 0.918%
Gaia was the first to disappear. The planet was lifeless and if there was a graphical representation, it would show the planet and Gaia being consumed by burning flames until they were incinerated and non-existant.
The Gaia of this timeline had now disappeared along with the planet it had protected for so long.
0% life forms on Earth. Predicted collapse: -180 seconds.
Alaya was not an 'existence' that had emotions, it was only a presence that secured the future of humanity and preserved it no matter what. It had 'infinite' strength at its disposal and could even go so far as to summon beings from other timelines in order to succeed; that was what it meant to be Alaya.
But Alaya couldn't think, it simply used its survival instinct.
It deployed thousands of Servants, all its Counter-Guardians and absolutely all the firepower it had at its disposal. Nevertheless, no matter the numbers or forces, they too were defeated by the consequences that humanity itself provoked.
It lost its personal tools against the threat and failed to preserve humanity. That foolish humanity that brought about its own destruction by meddling in matters it should not have.
That humanity that was always in conflict, that humanity that did not learn its lesson.
That ignorant humanity that kept killing each other.
Predicted collapse: -150 seconds.
Time became less and less, if there even was any concept to call 'time' anymore in this lonely abyss.
Alaya should have disappeared a long time ago as it was connected to Gaia unconsciously and consequently, to the world. But there was something that saved it from that fate temporarily.
Its favourite 'toy' counted as 'humanity'.
And as long as that 'humanity' existed, it would still have something to stay anchored to in this collapsing timeline.
The faker was not deployed.
The faker did not fight.
The faker only waited for his battle.
A battle that never came, because there was no way to win in the face of such a suicidal threat.
It wanted to play with him, to 'have fun' watching him suffer and for him to writhe more in his already fragmented and destroyed ideals. But even with all that, the instinct that directed the collective unconsciousness of humanity became stronger in preserving it, despite the fact that there was no more future in this timeline.
Predicted collapse: -120 seconds.
The contract would be broken, no longer anchored to what 'the toy' considered 'personal hell' or 'hopeless' and Alaya was sure of that. If the world collapsed here and now, the existence of the faker would also be erased, maybe even from the Throne of Heroes, thus leaving other distant worlds without a great force to be reckoned with.
If he died in a normal battle like the other Counter-Guardians, nothing would happen. However, this kind of destruction that affected the entire planet and the entire timeline would undoubtedly have an effect on humanity's collective system in the future.
The idea was clear.
Predicted collapse: -100 seconds.
No, it wasn't an idea at all, nor was it goodwill since it couldn't feel anything.
It was the same instinct that had so often saved humanity at work again. To a lesser extent than on other occasions, but this time, where all had failed, it could prevent this tragedy from becoming worse and reaching even the Throne of Heroes.
He was the last Guardian, he was Alaya's last 'toy'. He was a man who tried to be a hero along the way, but failed by every possible means, leaving an empty shell of what he once was.
But that was enough to preserve humanity on other worlds and even, if possible, to benefit it.
His job as a Counter-Guardian will be over. He will not be tied to anything and he will be able to do whatever he pleases in that primal era; he will finally be free. It would not be in the way a person like him would like, but he will know freedom after an eternity of work.
Predicted collapse: -50 seconds.
It was the ultimate power of humanity's collective unconsciousness, a power that was enough to transport him to that era without suffering any after effects from the destruction of this timeline.
Instinct kicked in again to save the only remaining 'humanity', all its power concentrated on him.
This planet should not have ended like this, but it was now reality; there was nothing more to be done.
It was a light, a bright light that broke through the world of swords. The Guardian was silent, sleeping with a strange peaceful look in that broken world of swords.
Predicted collapse: -30 seconds.
The world of swords began to disintegrate and fade into nothingness. The destruction of the planet also reached this world and it was only a matter of time before it disappeared like everything else.
The process was complete.
Alaya did not know exactly where he would end up, just as it did not know what changes his body would undergo. It was sure of one thing thought, the Guardian would remain himself in appearance and attitude.
Still, there was some work to be done.
Predicted collapse: -15 seconds.
Those weapons that had saved him so much in the past, weapons of all kinds that he had projected and stored, copies that would never match the original, were 'deleted' and dispersed from the reality marble; along with the knowledge and skills of the original bearer, leaving the landscape almost empty.
Alaya de-materialised them from the inner world as if they had never existed. If they stayed there, they would be a nuisance.
And instead, that copying ability would become more terrifying in the future. Alaya knew that the Unlimited Blade Works was nothing more than an incomplete skill that had the chance to be completed in that legendary era.
When the bearers of the original weapons do not exist, one can only succeed with one's own strength, which Archer lacked. Therefore, that fragile soul lacking any 'identity' in combat, had to become strong on his own. From now on, the Guardian could see the first level skills of what mankind considered "legendary heroes".
He would never be able to copy the skills or false parameters of those weapons as he was always used to. At most, he could try to recreate them with his personal skills if he could achieve a better skill of his own. After all, the knowledge would still be stored in his mind, that would never disappear.
The reason for this was for the simple fact that now the Guardian was not a being made of mana, he was now a human of flesh and blood. So, the parameters and statistics given to the Servants by the Throne of Heroes would not apply in the laws of the world of that primal era.
Its actions were again instinct, the survival instinct of mankind to gain more firepower in the future. Alaya wanted to see the man being destroyed, but it could not have the 'joy' of being able to observe him.
However, it knew that he would continue to suffer; misfortune would follow him no matter where he went.
And so the Guardian would have to stand up to those who sought to bring him down and he would have to succeed where millions of others had failed.
A time of true heroes. Where mystery abounds on the planet and where death walked beside those who sought for their own story
An ambitious era, which was nothing more than a constant struggle for survival and power.
Predicted collapse: -5 seconds.
This was all it had to do. The man would probably be annoyed that it had tampered with his personal reality, violating the very rules of his own world, but it would serve him well in the future. If he could complete the missing piece, then he would be able to do many things that would make him a terrifying opponent.
The knowledge of that primordial language was placed in him. When the Guardian awoke, he would have a severe headache; adding to that the effects of him being transferred to that world and timeline would undoubtedly leave him in an even worse, excruciating pain.
Predicted collapse: 0 seconds.
All was ready; with one last 'glance' from the collective unconsciousness of humanity, that bright white light engulfed the Guardian of time in silence, completely disappearing from this collapsed world.
The destruction of the world overtook Alaya, but in the fleeting moment before it died, it knew it had done the right thing.
There would be no more problems because of this horrifying world's own failures. The other worlds and timelines would be safe and everything would run its course without difficulties
There might be a slight alteration in the history of that era because of the presence of the Guardian, but at this point, that was minuscule compared to the problems that could truly happen if it let the Guardian be erased from existence in this timeline.
World survival expectancy: 0%. Beginning process of collapse.
The destruction engulfed the last of the timeline and left absolutely nothing. That inner world had disappeared along with the Guardian when he was removed from this timeline and a huge void where "nothingness" could be found was now what could be seen. If 'nothingness' itself existed.
A lonely void.
With that sight of suffering, Alaya died just as everyone else had; the world, along with the timeline, was destroyed.
...
His body fell from a great distance in the sky, flickers of starlight in the night sky adorned the vast lands and because of this, very little was visible to the human eye in this dark region.
The body landed with a bang on the ground, the sound reverberated beyond his whereabouts. A medium-sized crater in the shape of the body was embedded in the earth, leaving a mark of the person who had fallen in its place.
Crack!
Three ribs on the right side, and four on the left side were broken at the impact; his head was bleeding and the dirt had soiled his hair. Rather than looking like a living person, he looked as if he were a corpse.
His body was bruised and broken. Withstanding such pressure for an ordinary human had already been an impressive feat to accomplish.
But given what this person was used to, it was no big deal.
However, more importantly, he was unconscious. The weakness of his body coupled with the severe injuries screamed that he was not going to wake up any time soon, at least not in the next few hours.
The tanned colour of his skin, coupled with his wildly dishevelled white hair gave him a somewhat exotic appearance. But no thanks to the blood dripping from his head, the hair was faintly painted a bright crimson colour.
In essence, it was a grotesque sight for a now 'rejuvenated' body.
Beyond the noise of the impact, there was nothing else. Just silence.
The great mountains that surrounded him would be worth admiring during the day or evening, but at night, everything became more dangerous; as such, the landscape could be described as 'volatile' if any animal came with intentions of hunting. Although, such things could perfectly well happen during the day because it was nature itself that acted that way.
Damp earth and some cold, uncharacteristic of this environment could be felt. It was obvious that it had been raining without the need to feel the earth with his hands, the cold also felt damp.
Even in the unpleasant weather, the now young figure did not wake up and remained unconscious. He would probably remain so throughout the night - no one was capable of enduring so many injuries and blows all at once.
And most of his now destroyed clothing left the wounds visible. His presence was not something 'normal' that should have happened, it was a 'measure' that took him to a completely different time that he should not even be able to get to, let alone set foot in.
A 'measure' which was taken by the instinct of humanity's collective unconsciousness in order to secure raw power in other timelines and not cause a disaster in the Throne of Heroes.
This mythical age was the beginning of the concept of a 'Hero', those distant stories that had become legends by their exploits. Surprising the Gods themselves and offering them power, riches, land or privileges.
The Age of the Gods, which originated many tales.
The legendary Greek Mythology.
His story had only just begun; that night sky was the only existence that witnessed the rebirth of a hero forgotten for his sins and his actions.
The same unconvinced hero who would have to rise up against the adversities of Ancient Greece.
Archer.
A false name, but it was enough to prove his now true identity, because things such as the name he had renounced in the past would never again have the value they once had.

Welcome to this new adventure, where I, The Cow, humbly welcome you to this new story and new project which I was very excited to introduce to you!
Archer in Ancient Greece from Greek mythology ladies and gentlemen.
Just as you hear, a character that fits too well to this era and that has a lot of potential that I can draw from and exploit. Especially, having the Lore of the "Nasuverse" and mixing it with Greek mythology that we all know with sense and with the foundations established by the whole Nasuverse.
First of all, in the prologue you noticed the differences as well as the "nerfs" that Archer was given at the beginning. I won't ramble on, I'll just tell you that even though it looks like a nerf, in the future, it will be a very meaningful and well constructed buff in every way; it's what they call, a "truly well used power-up". That's what I'm willing to use, and given how UBW works, it totally fits.
This Power-Up is a perfect balance with the beginning of Archer and the distant future that awaits him. There are also the rules of the "Servants" parameters (stats) on Archer's weapons removed due to the fact that there are now only flesh and blood humans in the story (in my opinion, it is justifiable and makes total sense).
Yes readers or writers, I won't use parameter measurements to measure power because in this kind of story, they feel very... "video game-ish" and it just wouldn't look right. I will describe their strength in any case, and very well detailed so that you can see how strong the weapon really is in the story.
There is not much more to explain, everything will have more detailed explanations in time, and I want you to know that everything has a reason in this story. Nothing will happen just because, or nobody will get things just because, in the same way that I want everything to be as natural and realistic as possible given the time in which we are.
Now, this story besides being very long, will have VERY, VERY long written chapters. If you found this chapter to be long, then the next ones will be even longer, but I think this is a good thing. I can test the best writing I've used and tried to perfect all this time, you will also enjoy longer and more comfortable chapters.
Although by consequence, they will also take longer to come out so that the quality is maintained, and also because of the research that has to be done. I also have responsibilities, so it may even take a long time to come out. I won't exaggerate and say 5 months or something like that, but if I have a lot of work at school, it can easily take a month, if I'm free, two weeks as a prediction.
I have nothing more to add, this is just the prologue, a prologue that I hope you liked, and that has left you with the maximum hype for what is to come.
Vote and leave your Reviews as they are always useful, I always read them. See you soon readers and writers, I'm very anxious to continue with this project and that you will be able to witness and enjoy it with me.
Many thanks to Dantrlan for reminding me to upload the story to Fanfiction, you could say that this story will also have her here, but it's not going to be just one, considering the time, it's obvious, haha.

Hi there.
I have made a translated version of Fate: Όλυμπος (Olympus).
I have improved a lot of the grammar and english language errors that have appeared throughout the chapter. The way I did it was by first using a translator and my own experience in speaking Spanish, and then going through each sentence to see if there are any mistakes that need to be fixed or improved.
I haven't (mostly) changed the entire writing structure of the story because this is a translation and I wanted people to experience the work of the actual author rather than the work of someone else improvising and changing what the author actually writes.
Please give all credits to the actual Author who goes by LaVacaMuh for this amazing story. NOT ME.
I will catch up to the original work ASAP.
