Chapter five

Harry and Sirius did go out and Harry got his appointment to have his eyes examined. They decided to begin to plan their holiday while they waited for Harry's appointment. They never told Hermione, or anyone that they weren't going on holiday straight away. That was mainly so they could have some time to themselves. Now they could plan where they wanted to go and for how long.

Just over a week later, Harry was lying on the beach, getting a tan while eyeing all the females in tiny bikini's. The first time he had seen a girl, who looked to be about eighteen, wearing just bikini bottoms, he thought his heart was going to bust out of his chest. Sirius ended up laughing at the look on Harry's face. It took him a while to calm down and for Harry's red face to go back to normal.

Now two weeks later, Harry had seen a lot more than just a topless woman. On two separate occasions two different young woman had spoken to him before inviting him back to their villa. Even though he thought they were just being friendly, when they said they wanted sex, he wasn't going to say no. He couldn't even if he wanted to. He was a normal hormonal teenage boy, there was no way he could turn them down. He was told by both girls that they were attracted to him for his eyes. He had just an unusual green coloured eyes that they couldn't stop staring at. He wanted to be honest with them so he did tell them he wouldn't be there long, that he was returning to England soon. They still wanted to be with him, so he did.

Sirius was right when he said he would have girls after him for his eyes and not the-boy-who-lived. Harry got a lot of looks from girls and woman and a lot of smiles.

Harry and Sirius didn't spend all their time at the beach, they did explore Greece. When there was only two weeks left of their summer holidays, Harry and Sirius returned to England and to Grimmauld place.

'It'll do until I find another home for us pup.'

'It's fine Sirius. Soon I'll be back at Hogwarts and you'll be busy with the Wizengamot. We'll get a home soon enough. But we really need to go shopping. I have to see what books I need to buy.'

'The letters there, you just need to open it.'

Harry did open his Hogwarts letter and got a surprise. Inside the envelope was a badge, the quidditch captain's badge. Sirius congratulated him then said he would buy Harry some new quidditch gear. There was no use buying Harry another broom, he still owned the best out there, and Harry loved his Firebolt.

When they got to Diagon alley, they first went to Gringotts, Sirius was visiting his vault and he told Harry that now Harry was living with him, he was going to pay for everything. Harry did try to argue, Sirius was stubborn. Sirius said it was time that he did his duty which meant paying for the things Harry wanted or needed. Harry didn't say anything but he liked the fact that he had someone that wanted to do things for him. The Dursley's never bought him anything. All the stuff Harry needed for Hogwarts, he bought himself. Now he had his godfather buying his things.

Once they finished buying everything, including new gloves and pads for quidditch, they decided to have a treat and have an icecream.

Sirius watched his godson who seemed to be people watching. Then he realised his godson was checking out the girls. He saw Harry smile at one girl, who blushed but smiled back.

'Cute, you have good taste pup.'

'I know she's in Hufflepuff, same year as me and was sorted right before me. I never knew her name.'

'I'm sure you can find out the moment your back at the castle.'

'Oh, I plan to ask a few who would know. She's just too good looking not to try. She's also stacked.'

Sirius laughed making Harry grin. Many people smiled as they watched the-boy-who-lived having fun with his godfather.

Luck was with Harry, Susan bones turned up in Diagon alley. When she saw Harry and his godfather, she joined them for an icecream. Sirius could tell Harry was a little hesitant to ask outright about the girl, so he did for his godson.

Susan realised instantly why she was being asked about who the other girls was in Hufflepuff in her year. Sirius Black kept glancing at Harry. The moment she told them the name of one girl, Harry seemed to smile.

'She's single and a very nice girl. She's a muggleborn so she never heard anything about you before coming to Hogwarts. She did say you had amazing beautiful green eyes. I'm not sure if that means she likes you or not.'

'We're we that obvious?' Sirius asked.

'Sorry, being raised by Aunt Amelia taught me to be observant. Maybe we can work on a way for you to bump into me on the Hogwarts express while I'm with sally.'

'I could just come by to say hello, then you can introduce me to your friends. Maybe this will help Neville as well.'

'How will it help Neville?' Susan asked.

'He fancies Hannah Abbott, another one of your friends.'

'Then try to bring Neville with you.'

'I'll try to work something out. Thanks Susan.'

'Anytime. I mean even though nothing was said but I know it was you that helped get rid of Snape,' Susan smiled, got up and walked away.

'She is too observant but being Amelia's niece she knows she has to be careful with information.'

'She won't say anything, especially since I'm not mentioned at all. Well, maybe this year will turn out to be the best yet.'

'Oh, I think it will pup. Especially since Snivellius won't be there and you might end up with a cute looking girl.'

'You're right about Snape. I'm glad his gone. Even if he was on the up and up with Dumbledore, he was still a bastard.'

'He was but with the way he acted, it's a wonder Albus didn't pick up on his real agenda. Anyway, you don't have to worry about him anymore.'

Two weeks later Sirius and Harry walked along platform nine and three quarters. They met up with Neville and helped him with his trunk. They ended up sharing a compartment. Hermione hurried in next but so did Ron, who seemed very quiet. All Harry could do was give Ron a nod and a sad type of smile. He might have been involved in Ginny's death but he knew what the Weasley's were feeling. He still felt his parents loss even if he didn't really remember them. He had flashes and sometimes he dreams. When he told Sirius about the dreams, he said they were real. Harry was accessing very young memories, but only in his dreams.

Hermione went off to the prefects meeting and they noticed Dean went that way as well instead of Ron. Ron explained that he just didn't want to be a prefect anymore. Harry explained that he had been offered the prefect but he said he would prefer to be quidditch captain than a prefect. He wouldn't have time to do both. He didn't know Ron had handed back his badge. Dean was the next boy in Gryffindor with the high scores and less detentions.

While Ron was staring out the window, Harry got Neville's attention, 'Ron, I'll be right back, okay?'

'Yeah, sure Harry,' Ron said listlessly. He didn't even bother to turn around to face them.

Harry never told Neville where they were going, he just spoke with the boy until they came to the compartment that had a few girls from Hufflepuff in it.

'Hello again Susan.'

'Hi Harry, hello Neville.'

'Um, hi,' Neville said shyly.

'I know it's our Sixth year, I never got to know many other students. Could you introduce us Susan?'

'Sure Harry. Okay, next to me is my best friend, Hannah Abbott. Across from me is Megan Jones and next to Megan is Sally Perks. Now it's your turn.'

'Well, I'm Harry Potter and this is my friend, Neville Longbottom. It's nice to meet all of you, officially.'

'Join us for a bit Harry,' Susan said gesturing for him to sit beside Sally which meant Neville would have to sit beside Hannah.

Harry grinned as he sat down, when Neville didn't move, Harry poked him then gestured towards the seat. As soon as he sat Hannah blushed as she glanced at Neville.

The group got talking. Susan helped by starting. She first spoke about how Megan was related to Gwenog Jones, then she mentioned that Hannah really liked potions but also herbology. She hoped to work in both once she left Hogwarts. That got Neville's attention. Susan then said Sally was the best in defence out of the Hufflepuff fifth years. That's all it took for Harry to strike up a conversation with Sally.

At one time Harry noticed someone at the door. He didn't look properly but he could see out of the corner of his eye that it was Hermione and she looked surprised. Harry ignored her and kept talking to Sally.

Harry and Neville ended up staying in that compartment until they got close to Hogsmeade. They had to go changed, but Harry gave Sally a big smile before he left. Neville was able to smile at Hannah as he followed Harry out of the compartment. Ron had told Harry that Hermione already got changed and she was now seeing to the first years.

Once the friends got into the great hall, Harry made sure he sat where he could stare over at Sally. He wanted her to see him watching her. Which she did, but so had the other girls and they kept telling Sally that Harry couldn't take his eyes off her. Neville was doing the same with Hannah, who kept staring over at Neville.

Hermione ended up in a huff when she tried to talk to Harry and he didn't hear her. She ended up grabbing his hand.

'What?' Harry asked as he turned to face his female friend.

'I was talking to you Harry, you didn't seem to hear me.'

'Sorry, staring at a cute girl,' Harry turned back but Hermione tugged on his hand again.

'Which girl?'

'Oh, Sally. Susan introduced me to her on the train. She's great and we got talking about defence. It's her best subject. She also going to try out for seeker, so we got talking about quidditch, then a heap of other things. We seem to have a lot in common. She's my kind of girl,' Harry turned back and this time he removed his hand from Hermione's and made sure it was out of her reach. He already knew what he was going to do. He was going to have Hedwig deliver a letter to Sally in the morning, asking her if she would go with him to Hogsmeade, which would be in two weeks. He wanted to make sure he asked so she didn't make other plans. It also meant that they might get to spend some time with each other over the next two weeks. Just from speaking while on the Hogwarts express, Harry knew he wanted Sally as his girlfriend.

'I didn't think she would be your type,' Hermione said in a stiff voice.

'She's exactly my type and like I said, we have a lot in common. But it's her overall look that I can't take my eyes off.'

'I think Harry means she's got a decent rack,' Seamus said.

'Well, yeah, it's one thing that I'm attracted to, big boobs. Its Sally's eyes what drew me in. I love blue eyes. But she's so cute.'

Hermione huffed again then scowled when she couldn't get Harry to look at her and not at the Hufflepuff. She never noticed that Neville was also staring at a Hufflepuff girl and he couldn't stop blushing, but neither could Hannah.

As soon as Harry got to Gryffindor tower, he said goodnight to everyone and headed to bed. He was tired but he also didn't want to listen to Hermione, especially when she would begin to ask questions again. She would ask about the things he could not reveal but Harry knew she would begin to talk to him about Sally. As far as Harry was concerned, who he liked was none of Hermione's business.

The following morning at breakfast the owls began to arrive and anyone that knew what Harry Potter's owl looked like, they would see her amongst the other owls. But she didn't head towards Harry, she headed towards the Hufflepuff table. She landed in front of Sally and held out her leg.

Sally stared over at Harry who was smiling at her again before she very carefully removed the letter than gave Hedwig some of her bacon. The owl hooted happily before it flew off and landed on Harry's shoulder. Everyone in the great hall watched the white owl but also glanced between Harry and Sally and noticed the looks the two were giving each other. Everyone could see a relationship beginning between Harry Potter and Sally-Anne Perks.
