Chapter four

Harry and Ron were heading downstairs ready for dinner when Hermione almost knocked Harry down the rest of the stairs as she hugged him.

'I've been here for a couple of hours Hermione.'

'Sorry, we got involved.'

'I knew eventually you turn into a girl Hermione,' Harry smirked then ran down the rest of the stairs before Hermione could retaliate for what he said. Ron was laughing as he following Harry down the stairs.

'You just watch yourself Harry Potter.'

Harry saluted, 'Yes ma'am.'

'Behave,' Hermione huffed before she sat down next to him.

'Hi Mr Weasley, Percy,' Harry gave them both a smile but looked curiously at the other two men sitting at the table.

'It's good to see you again Harry,' Percy said pompously.

'It's good to see you Harry. Are you excited about the world cup?' Arthur asked.

'Sure am. I'm looking forward to seeing some seeker moves that I can try.'

'Oh sorry Harry, these are my two oldest sons, Bill and Charlie.'

The two red heads shook Harry's hand. Both did the usual glance at his scar before they gave him a smile. Then Charlie began to talk to Harry about being Gryffindor's seeker, he had been seeker for Gryffindor years before. Ron laughed then joined in with the quidditch talk.

Ginny, Fred and George joined the family at the table just as Molly began to place all the food on the table.

Harry got stuck straight into the food. Even though Dobby was a great cook, Harry thought Ron's mother's cooking was the best in the world. He would never tell Dobby that.

There was a lot of quidditch talk during dinner and after dinner. Just before the younger ones were going to head upstairs, Mrs Weasley called Harry over.

'Sometimes matches like the at the world cup can go on longer than expected. I am going to buy the other's school supplies tomorrow, I will get yours as well but I will need the key to your vault.'

'Oh, I would Mrs Weasley, but when I was there last year the goblins explained that they were worried about security, especially for their fuller vaults. They told me to work on a password.'

'Then I will need the password.'

'Um,' Harry sighed, 'it's in parseltongue Mrs Weasley. It's fine, I'll get the night bus to take me when I can. I didn't expect to need someone else to go to my vault for me.'

'It's fine Harry, I just hope you have time. But I can take you the moment the quidditch cup is over.'

'Um, I can go myself Mrs Weasley, I'm used to shopping alone.'

'Nonsense, you're too young. I will take you. Now off upstairs with you.'

Harry knew there was no use arguing with Molly Weasley so he hurried up the stairs and straight to Ron's room.

'Did you sort that out Molly?' Arthur asked.

'No, it seems the goblins wanted some extra security to certain vaults, so they added passwords. Harry decided to use parseltongue to give his password, so I'll take Harry as soon as I can.'

'So he really is a parselmouth?' Bill asked.

'Yes, and lucky he is or we may have lost your sister.'

'Have you ever heard him use it?' Charlie asked.

'No, but Ron said it sounds like hissing.'

'Dragons hiss a lot, I wonder if they have a similar language to snakes. With what is about to happen at Hogwarts I might get Harry to listen.'

'Just don't mention it until after it's announced, or better yet, wait until the first task is done so he doesn't give that information away to whoever the Hogwarts champion is.' Arthur said.

'Even though I'm sure he would keep it to himself, I'll wait.' Charlie said.

Harry had finished explaining to Ron and Hermione what Mrs Weasley wanted and why he couldn't have her do his school shopping. They did talk about one item on the list, dress robes and it made them curious why they needed dress robes.

Ginny came in at one time, Harry noticed straight away that she would glance at him, a lot. Harry decided for now to ignore her so he picked up a book, sat against the wall and began to read. If Ron said something he would give a quick one word answer. If Hermione said something to him, he would answer her the same way. When Ginny spoke to him, he ignored her, acted like he didn't hear her because he was engrossed in the book. He wanted it to seem he just didn't take any notice of her. He really hoped Ginny would realise Harry was not interested in her, romantically.

Everyone had a wonderful time at the quidditch world cup. The celebrations went long into the night. The Weasley group which included Harry and Hermione, didn't go to bed until Ginny fell asleep at the table. Harry had been ignoring Ginny again while he spoke with Ron or Charlie about quidditch. After everyone went into the tent, Harry and Ron talked about the game until they fell asleep. One thing Harry realised though, he would have time to shop for his school supplies. He was anxious to find out what Hogwarts will be like without Snape. He also wondered how Malfoy would be now his father was dead. He also wondered why nothing was in the Daily Prophet about Lucius Malfoy and he did get curious about the man if he died or if the book didn't work. It had worked for the Dursley's, now he just hoped it worked on Snape, Malfoy, but also on Peter and Voldemort. He would have to wait to get to Hogwarts and see if Snape was there or not. Even though he didn't see anything about fudge, that was weeks before, so there wouldn't be much more to write about Fudge. Harry just hoped it worked which meant Snape, Malfoy, Peter and Voldemort were dead.

The group woke late the next morning, they had a leisurely breakfast while they waited for the time they could get the portkey back to Ottery St Catchpole. Bill, Charlie and Percy apparated just before the others took the portkey.

The following day, Mrs Weasley took Fred, George, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and Harry to shop for their Hogwarts things. When Harry saw the dress robes Mrs Weasley found in the second hand shop, he whispered to her and asked if he could lend her the money for the robes and said she could take her time paying him off. Harry said if he knew Ron at all, he would not use the robes for whatever was being put on and he could miss out. It took a lot of arguments on Harry's part to get Mrs Weasley to agree, but she finally did. So Ron's robes were new just like Harry's except Ron's were black and Harry's emerald green. Mrs Weasley said they would match his eyes, which made Harry roll his eyes. He just never let the Weasley matriarch see him do it.

One thing Harry did buy, a new trunk, but one that had three compartments and it was charmed to make it lighter. Since Harry kept everything he owned in his trunk and he kept buying more stuff every year, he would eventually need more space. He offered Ron his old trunk which was in better condition than the one Ron was using. As Harry said to Ron, if he didn't want it then it would be thrown out and Harry felt it was still too good to throw away. Finally Ron took it and put his old trunk in the attic with the ghoul.

The last few days before they returned to Hogwarts, the teenagers spent a lot of time flying. Charlie and Bill also flew with them, but they got to try out Harry's Firebolt. Charlie said he was determined to save up for a Firebolt which made Harry smile. He knew exactly how Charlie felt, he loved his Firebolt. Only Hermione and Ron knew that Sirius had bought him the Firebolt, but if anyone asked, Harry would just say he bought it after his nimbus was destroyed. Since he had money and his old broom was gone, thanks to the whomping willow, then he wanted to splurge on a good broom. Harry had made sure Ginny didn't get an offer to try his broom and he made sure to ignore here whenever she was around.

Even though Harry, Hermione, Ron and the others talked quidditch, or Hogwarts, Harry sometimes overheard things from the older Weasley's. He heard Arthur Weasley talking to his wife about the elections for a new minister for magic and he just hoped Fudge's undersecretary didn't run. Harry listened intently especially when the red head mentions the woman, Umbridge and how she has made it impossible for people like Remus Lupin to be able to work in that country. She also wanted to push through for them to be killed, but she didn't have enough support. He also heard about how she didn't like muggleborns and was determined to get them out of the wizarding world. She was working on plans so people like Hagrid could not work at places like Hogwarts, but also Flitwick. She called them half-breeds and was determined to get rid of them just like she was determined to get rid of werewolves.

When Harry was in bed that night, he thought about what he overheard and wondered if she was another person he would need to take care of using the book. He would need more information on her before he decided, but right now Harry thought if Umbridge wanted to kill people like Remus, Hagrid and Flitwick, then she could be dangerous. Harry would need to find out her full name before he wrote it in the book. All he knew was she had been Fudge's undersecretary and her last name was Umbridge. He would see if he could find more about her either before he returned to Hogwarts or after.

Harry was determined the book would only be used on people who would kill or use other means to kill, or even torture. That's why he wanted to know the names of the death eaters. He had heard enough stories about what the death eaters did during the war. Those people don't deserve to live.

That night when everyone was asleep, Harry snuck outside and called Dobby. He asked the elf to find out everything he could about a woman named Umbridge who had been the undersecretary to Fudge. He told Dobby to wait for his call so he could make sure Harry was alone. Since Dobby was a free elf, he could go to places like the ministry kitchens and talk to the house elves. Most house elves would talk, they just didn't give away their masters secrets. The house elves at the ministry were like Hogwarts. They weren't bound to a person, but to a place. Dobby told Harry that many of those house elves would probably tell him what they heard about Umbridge, so he didn't see any problem finding the information Harry wanted.

It was only a few days later that Harry listened to what Dobby told him. Every house elf had said the same thing. Dolores Umbridge was a cruel witch and would use the dark arts or dark objects if it got her what she wanted. The elves had heard rumours that she had killed the previous undersecretary, but there had been no proof. She had also killed many house elves when she got angry.

Harry knew what he had to do. The moment he was back in Ron's room, he quietly got his book and wrote the name Dolores Umbridge. Even though he knew he was basically causing the deaths of people by using the book, Harry didn't feel guilty. The book was only for murderers or really bad people, like the Dursley's. They enjoyed hurting Harry when he was only a small child, so to Harry, they deserved to die. If he thought they would change, he wouldn't have written their names in the book, but Harry knew the Dursley's would never change.
