Chapter 5: The new students (Part 2)
Some days later after Ragii and Lux's first school day - Tristanian Academy of Magic - Alviss Dining Hall…
Louise considered herself a fairly patient person but, spoiler alert, she really isn't. She was not very patient, but lately she was able to resist the constant surprises of her familiar...however, she wasn't ready to talk to someone like Ragii.

Louise's face contracted comically from the storm of questions that Ragii Lamperouge was continuing to ask her while, during lunch, they were sitting at the same table with Zack and Lux. If on the one hand Louise was able to answer Ragii at least with an annoyed tone, her familiar and Lux instead...Louise wondered why her familiar hated Lux, and when she tried to ask the Keybearer two hours earlier, the latter simply replied with "A feeling". Upon hearing the answer, Louise rewarded her familiar with a punch on the head.
"Hoi, if you don't eat get off the table" Zack said bluntly to Lux. Lux was blatantly ignoring him as he turned the page of the book he was currently reading with his left hand. "Do not ignore me!" A vein appeared on the forehead of the Wielder Keyblade as he clenched his right fist in anger.
At this point, Lux closed the book and, looking up at Zack, looked at him with an annoyed but empty look at the same time. "Did you say something?"
'This guy is serious?!' The Keybearer's anger increased. "If you closed that damn book for once then you would have heard everything!"
"I don't like waste my time talking to people like you" Lux proceeded to reopen the book he was reading.
"Don't get down-But who do you think you are ?!"
"Keep barking" Lux simply replied as he shrugged. "It's not my problem"
"Oh fu-Bring it on, Shakespeare!" Zack stood up and put his left foot on the chair and then pointed to Lux. "I'll take away your desire to read!"
As if his honour had been hurt, Lux closed the book and he too stood up, casting a cold look at Zack. "All right, if this is the only way to get you to wear a muzzle, that's fine"
"SCREW YOU!"
"YOU TWO, STOP!" Ragii and Louise said in an attempt to calm the two boys down. The two girls thought only one thing at the same time: 'Boys ...'. If the two sorceresses wanted to interrupt the challenge between the two boys, the other students were of very different opinions...

"Are they your friends, Louise-chan?" Ragii cocked her head to the side with a confused look as she watched Kirche and Tabata.
"Kirche? Never!" Louise answered without thinking twice. "What are you doing here, Tabata?"
"Kirche dragged me" the blue-haired girl simply replied.
As the four girls talked, the two quarrels seemed to have isolated themselves from the rest of the room. "We seem to have fans," Zack commented nonchalantly as he watched Lux. "Do we satisfy them immediately or what?"
Lux was silent for a few seconds and then shook his head. "Two hours after the end of the lessons, roof of the east tower"
"Don't run away, you bastard"
"Same for you" He said as he simply then took the book, turned away from the Keybearer and walked away. "I'll let you talk to your new friends, Ragii"
"Oh ok. Later, big brother"

"...Tch, what a show off" Zack muttered only to be painfully punished by Louise with blows from her horse whip as she said. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"

Hours later - Library ...
Two hours have passed since the end of the lessons and, while two certain warriors were preparing for their sparring match, Louise and Ragii were studying in the library of the academy...or rather, Louise was studying because Ragii was talking.
"And then I said to her: 'It shouldn't be done like this!', but she didn't want to listen to me and-"
"..." Louise sighed and then slowly closed the book she was reading. "Aren't you worried about your brother?" She asked.
"Worried?" Ragii looked confused at Louise.
"I mean, your brother is about to fight my familiar, and Zack isn't holding back," Louise explained as she looked seriously at Ragii, who still didn't seem worried. "Besides, he has unique abilities and a weapon that almost no one can possess"
Ok, Ragii was definitely curious to the point of having stars instead of her pupils. "REALLY?! TELL ME! PLEASE! PLEASE!"
"... It's a secret, so don't tell anyone else: Zack owns a weapon called the Keyblade. Thanks to that, he can even use magic"
"Key...blade?" Ragii's face faded at first ... until she expressed an emotion that she Louise could not think she saw: Hope. Tears streamed down Ragii's face.

"Man, you sure know how to throw a party!" Zack walks in a circle, waiting for Lux to finish reading. "Are you ready for this?"
"My sincerest apology then" Lux sighed and closed the book as he stepped off the wall, leaving the book on the ground. "You didn't run away, as far as I can see"
"Run away? Why do I have to run away if obviously I'm the winner?" Zack shrugged, he had a small arrogant smile on his face.
"Very well-" Placing the right hand on the hilt of the weapon, pulling it out of the scabbard. The weapon is a thin blade almost akin to a rapier, with a blue-and-gold-two-sided bulky hand guard, blue-grip and a gold-pronged pommel. "-But stop barking"
Zack clenched his left fist as he raised his right hand. "Okay, now I'm pissed!" He screamed as he summoned Fenrir in his right hand.
'T-That weapon!' The mere sight of Fenrir made Lux's eyes widen in her shock and surprise. "How could one like you use the Keyblade?"
"Do you know the Keyblade?!" Zack took a step back after this revelation. "How?!"
The rapier-like user obviously decided to respond in kind. "Find out after beating me"
"Tch, of course ..."
The two swordsmen looked into each other's eyes as they both assumed their offensive posture. They stood still for another couple of seconds ... until they snapped at each other, crossing the blades.

Sparks are released where the blades of the Keyblade and the rapier-like sword cross. The gaze of the two swordsmen was serious, both were focused on striking first, aiming for first blood.
Breaking the clash of swords, the two opponents took a step backwards and then returned to the assault.
Lux was trying to hit Zack with quick, precise thrusts, without wasting energy on unnecessary moves to dodge Zack's assault. The latter, on the other hand, was alternating offensive and defense between quick one-handed slashes and dodges.
At the umpteenth clash of swords, the two spoke again. "Hey, you're pretty good with that sword" Zack complimented Lux as he tried to hit his opponent with a swipe.
"You're not bad at all too, I admit." Lux stepped back and then brought his sword closer to his chest. "But I think we have to end this!" Bending his legs slightly, Lux then pointed the sword at Zack. The blade of the weapon began to light up blue when ice crystals came out of the tip of it...just like Blizzara.
"Magic?!" Zack hurriedly raised his left hand, creating the Reflex magic shield. Gritting his teeth, Zack took a single step back as the ice spell shattered against the magical barrier, managing to crack it slightly but not enough to destroy it. "Damn you, how do you manage to use magic?!" He said as the magic shield vanished.
"How? I'm a noble, so I can use magic "
"Not that kind of magic!" The Keyblade wielder aimed Fenrir at Lux. "I mean the magic of the Keyblade! That spell was Blizzara! You can't fool me!"
Lux aimed his weapon at the Keybearer. "That was my line: Why is someone like you a Keyblade wielder?"
The umpteenth spark was about to burst between the two when, between them, ran a strange monkey covered in blue fur, appearing lighter around their head and torso, and darker around their arms, legs and long tails. The center part of their face is pitch-black with jagged edges, and two glowing, yellow eyes can be seen. The inner sections of their round ears are a light purple color, as are their large paws and feet, which end with sharp, black claws. They seem to be wearing golden bracelets and anklets, and the Heartless emblem can clearly be seen emblazoned on their chest. This Heartless is the Powerwild, and he was holding a certain book in his hands...

"But that doesn't make sense! Zack took a step towards Lux." How is it possible you lost your Heart 5 years ago if the Heartless only appeared recently?!"
"Answer me!"
"…They haven't appeared recently." The revealed Nobody shook his head. "You're a Keyblade Wielder, so you know better than I do about the Darkness that lurks in hearts"
"So tell me: why hasn't anyone ever known the Heartless?" Zack asked looking Lux in his eyes.
Lux looked around and then answered. "Because the Royal Family has decided to withhold all information regarding the Heartless threat"
"The Royal Family…?" Zack sighed after a while. "Sigh ... every time I always have to be interested in politics"
"So…How can one company own this huge city?!"
"Thanks to the-"
"... What?" Lux, with his usual blank stare, watched Zack. "What do you talking about?"
"Nothing ..." The Keybearer looked down and then made an important decision. Looking up at Lux, Zack rested Fenrir on his right shoulder and then offered his fist. "Let's do it"
Lux looked at Zack with a confused look. "Do what? Catch that Heartless?"
"Not only that, you dumbass!" Zack sighed. "I mean…sigh. Look: I'm sorry for the way I treated you these days. I'm really sorry and because of this, I swear: We will find your Heartless and you will get back your Heart!"
Lux looked first at Zack, then at his fist. "...What?"
Zack looked at the Nobody in confusion. "Uuh...I said: I will help you?"
"Why?"
"I bet that's your dream. Get your Heart back" He just said
"But why help me?"
Zack scratched his head, muttering. "Well...hearing your story, maybe I thought that I should try and try to be your friend…maybe even Louise can be friend with your sister"
"Friend?" Lux blinked several times. "That's impossible. A friend would not just follow another's dream: A friend would find his own reason to live-"
"Blah blah blah blah- I don't care" replied the Keybearer. "Follow my own dream or not, I will help you with everything I got!"
Lux was silent for a while, until finally he sighed and then smiled slightly, even though it was still a hollow smile. "You are really stubborn" He said and then he slammed his fist with Zack's fist.
"Hey, that's my best quality eheheh" Zack chuckled and then lowered his fist. "Come on, we got a monkey to catch!"
"I'm on it" Lux said and then resumed walking with the Keyblade Wielder. Neither of them knew that an incredible friendship was born…
"Anyway...I'm the strongest" Said Zack as he chuckles.
"Eat shit and die" Lux said shaking his head, even though he had a small hollow smile.

Hours later when Louise and Ragii, going to Louise's room, found the two boys intent on talking without hitting each other, they asked him what had happened. The two obviously told everything, also talking about the moment in which they had captured the Heartless monkey and returned the stolen object to the student. In conclusion:

Hours later - Night - Headmaster office...
The old wizard Osmond was finishing signing papers in his office when the door knocked. Looking up from his paperwork, Osmond looked at the door. "Come in"
When the door opened, Osmond saw the figure of the Nobody called Lux Lamperouge. "Ah, Lord Lamperouge. What's going on?" He asked as he gave the Nobody a small smile.
"Sorry to bother at this time of night, Headmaster Osmond." Lux bowed slightly as he walked in and closed the office door. "I have something important to talk to you. A mission entrusted to me by my father, Count Lamperouge"
Upon hearing the word 'mission', Osmond's face became a mask of seriousness. "I see. Sit down, then." Doing as he was asked, Lux sits down opposite the Headmaster.
"What is the mission?" Osmond asked.
Lux looked at Osmond with a blank stare. "It's about the Staff of Destruction"

A clearly female figure but hidden by a long hooded cloak was watching the academy from a hill. "Soon ... very soon ..." She muttered as a Corridor of Light opened up behind her from which came a certain hooded man named-. "Xigbar" Turning to Xigbar, the woman greeted the Keybearer. "It took you sometime"
"Keep you waiting, huh?" Xigbar said causally as, after pulling his hood down to reveal his face, he waved a hand. "I know, I'm late but I was…studying this World's story"
"I don't care. Are you ready for the plan?" She asked the woman to the man who made a contemptuous gesture with her hand. "You know your job, do you?"
"As if! I'll do my job, don't worry 'bout that, Fouquet" Xigbar gave a slight smile to the woman, now known as Fouquet.
"Good. Remember, failure is not an option. Hope those white ghosts you command can slow those two." Fouquet turned and walked away, leaving Xigbar alone.
The former Nobody sighed and looked up at the moons. "This'll be the first piece. I'll end this war just as you wanted…"
