Keeping a hand on her belly, he turned his attention to the crowd.

At first, nothing happened and everyone just stared. Then, Mēnomaru's head slid to the side and fell to the ground as his blood sprayed everywhere before his body fell with a loud 'thud'.
The people cheered and Sesshomaru flicked the blood off his sword. He made his way back to Kagome who had been watching his every step. He embraced her. "It is done, My Love." Her happy sob softened his features.
"All of you may enjoy the festivities outside my shiro walls. Your lord wishes to be alone with his pups and mate." When they turned away, everyone cheered for them as they disappeared inside the main doorway.
