Chapter Fifty-One: Forge
U.A. High
The morning was unusually quiet, but there was another thing going on. It was in Nezu's office of all things, a meeting between All-Might and the principal himself.
"You seem worried, Yagi," as the animal hybrid drunk his morning tea. "It's about Midoriya still?"
All-Might nodded but said: "I'm worried that the making of another Shichisei is under our noses. Young Midoriya came close to that when he nearly beat the Hero Killer to death!" with emphasis.
"It's why he's attending after-school sessions with Hound Dog."
"This Ken-"
"Yagi," Nezu said with a sigh. "What are you suggesting?"
As the Symbol of Peace laid out his plan, Nezu couldn't help but think could backfire in many ways possible, especially considering the personality of the third-year he has in mind...
Classroom 1-A
The whole day passed without incident but to call it normal would be misleading:
- Iida was still in General Education
- A good part of 1-A was still scared of Midoriya's violent side
- Aizawa looking at Midoriya a bit worryingly
Midoriya, on the other hand, was looking a bit chipper in comparison. Kaminari of all people noticed that he seemed less down today but decided not to prod further, mainly as it falls under the category of none of his business.
"Oh, lunch break is next," Midoriya said to no one in particular.
As soon as the bell rang...
Cafeteria
Izuku was being accompanied by Mina as they sat down at a table but there a few differences: Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, Kendo, Uraraka, and as of recent, Jirou, and Kirishima. All sitting at the same table.
"Bro, I don't want to say it... but it seems a lot of our classmates are scared of you."
Izuku sighed a bit, but it was in understanding, not disappointment. "Considering what happened with Monoma yesterday, I can't exactly blame them. However, I'm getting better..."
"How so, Midoriya?" asked Todoroki.
"Kensei-Sensei mainly suggested meditation..." the boy said, "and a sandbag if meditation isn't enough. Says visualize it with the most punchable-looking face."
"...would that be Gakuto?" asked Mina.
Izuku was twitching a bit, saying: "Am I that easy to figure out?"
"I doubt it, he did help you out more than you want to admit," piped up Jirou at the end.
"It's Monoma isn't it?" asked Mina.
"... yes."
Kendo wasn't surprised by his answer, though there was a silver lining: Monoma was behaving much better. Despite the multitude of bandages around his face and his torso placed in a cast.
"Still I'm unaware of why both you and Todoroki were on edge because of his style," Momo spoke up, curious.
"Remember when Kensei mentioned about styles lopping off limbs?" questioned Shoto. A bit of a shiver was sent through the spines of Yaoyorozu, Ashido, and even Ochako. The others were now focused on this.
"W-W-wait, what?" asked a confused Kirishima.
"I'll explain in private, Kirishima," responded Shoto.
"Nanto Seiken," Izuku interrupted, ruining the privacy talk, but pauses for a bit. "Jirou, Kirishima, I need you to promise me. Do not reveal this to anyone else."
Jirou nodded immediately while the red-haired boy wondered why-
"It's an assassin's fighting style."
Kirishima had to do a double-take, "A-Assassin's?"
"As I said, don't reveal it to anyone else," Izuku said. "... I rather not make things worse."
Kirishima's face was that of concern, wondering if this will lead to something. Jirou was silent through the whole thing. However, Kendo noticed that both of them were nervous, being the 'Big Sis' of 1-B had its edge: being able to know when someone's very nervous.
"Let's ease them into it..." Kendo said, placing her hands on Jirou's and Kirishima's shoulders, reassuring them. "Remember, Midoriya. Let's not scare them too much."
Midoriya sighed but accepted it.
"Nanto Seiken's based destroying the body externally: slicing, slashing, you name it. On top of that, there are multiple branches to it," Midoriya paused for a bit, looking around if anyone's eavesdropping. As soon as the coast was clear, he continued.
"The top-tier are known as the Six Sacred Fists of Nanto AKA Nanto Roku Seiken. However, the style that Gakuto uses... stands at the top of the top-tier. It uses pure speed, power, but there are no set stances..."
"That's why the both of us were on edge," finished Shoto. "He's still hiding something, I fucking know it..." while snarling.
Jirou was oddly silent. She remembers how-
"Jirou?"
"He was even faster than Izuku or Shoto."
"Eh?"
"Gakuto was walking me home last night, we were almost robbed... but he defended me. All too well," Kyoka said. "He kinda scared me once he planted that thug's head into the concrete with an axe kick."
This caught everyone's attention, especially Shoto's and Izuku's.
"But... he did apologize to me," Jirou responded, but Mina and Momo caught onto something.
"First name basis already?" asked Mina, albeit teasingly.
"S-Shut up..."
"Now, now, let's not tease her. Even though it sounds like the start of a novel-like romance."
Jirou was sorely tempted to jab her, mainly to keep the embarrassment from continuing longer. However, the silver lining was this: Gakuto's willingness to take things slow.
"What's the name of it anyway?" asked Kirishima.
"Nanto Ho-o Ken."
"So, there's more?" the red-haired boy asked. Shoto nodded but looked to Midoriya if they should reveal it too.
"It's too soon to say it, I rather not reveal everything at once."
Kirishima took this as a sign that things will be revealed, just now. He was okay with that. As the newly minted group was still chatting, Midoriya felt a hand on his shoulder, making him flinch and turn around quickly.
"Whoa there! Didn't mean to scare ya!" said an energetic voice. Shoto immediately took a kickboxing stance, followed by the rest taking stances too, making the source of the voice flinch a bit.
"Whoa! Whoa! I'm not here to cause trouble!" said the voice again. The bi-haired boy got a good look at him: 181cm [5'11¼"] tall, very blue eyes, round nose, and blonde cowlick-styled hair. The most prominent trait was the smile he had, it reminded him of All-Might.
"Name's Mirio Togata, third-year, and my hero name: Lemillion!"
"Uh... okay...?" responded Midoriya, unsure what to make of this.
"Well, the principal and All-Might especially wanted to make sure that an Izuku Midoriya was doing alright, that would be you, right?"
"Yes..." Midoriya answered, a bit unsure where this was going.
"Oh, alright!" exclaimed Togata. "Well, I needed to be sure because some of the student body referred to you with various nicknames but these were the two that stood out!"
Midoriya was liking where this was going-
"The Ashura of UA and Vicious Green."
"A-A-Are you kidding me?! It was just one fight! One fight!" Midoriya emphasized with one finger.
"That beatdown was pretty vicious, Midoriya," Kendo adding her own two cents.
Midoriya stammered a bit, managing to say: "Y...You're not wrong on that, Kendo."
On the inside, he was kinda mad about this, even pinching the bridge of his nose to show his displeasure and exasperation about this.
'All-Might of all people. He thinks I'm sort of danger, yes, let's ignore Monoma who clearly provoked me. Wait, I wonder if he knows.'
"One question, whatever happened to Monoma?"
"Oh, I can answer that, Midoriya," Kendo piped up. "From what Mr. Kan told me, Monoma will be prohibited from participating in heroic-related classes and instead will be going to Hound Dog for counseling."
At least that sent a sigh of relief through the green-haired boy but back to this.
"However, I need to talk to Midoriya alone," Mirio said with a more serious expression.
"Whatever you can say in front of me..." Midoriya said, "You can say in front of them," emphasized with a thumb towards his circle of friends.
"This won't take too long, I can assure you."
"No."
"Look, it will only take a few min-"
"Did I fucking stutter?"
"Okay..." Mirio said, a bit deflated. "You can take one with you."
"Mina, you mind?"
The pink girl joined in, now following Mirio as they talked more. The rest of the group are now somewhat worried, but Todoroki assures them, saying: "Look, Ashido is more than capable of keeping Midoriya in check. Or in the very least... cool him down."
"I hope so..." said Kirishima.
Hallway
As the three were walking, Midoriya was wondering where exactly where-
"We are going to find somewhere to work out whatever remaining issues you have."
"B-But, I'm going to Hound Dog for bi-weekly sessions!"
"And there's nothing wrong with that but I'm not sure if that's enough."
"What do you mean?" asked Mina.
"I'm not sure on how to explain this but All-Might seemed a bit paranoid... mentioned something about a Kasumi corrupting your potential or something like that?" Mirio responded, confused about what All-Might exactly said.
"O-Oh... r-right, paranoid."
"I'm guessing he's a master martial artist?"
Midoriya's silence confirmed it along with Mina's eyes bulging for a bit. It all but confirmed it for the blonde.
"Look. I don't want to come off as a jerk..."
Mirio slowly turned around, seeing Midoriya's silent expression.
"I don't think you're being entirely truthful."
Mina's face went into a frown while Midoriya grew a bit pensive.
"I know of the Hero Killer Incident too, I won't judge you for that. However... there's a chance you'll go too far and cripple a villain. No, it might become your defa-Wait, where are you going?"
Izuku heard this song and dance before, he wasn't in the mood to hear it, especially from a third-year of all people. Mina pinched the bridge of her nose, wondering what exactly Mirio was trying to do.
"Hey, I'm not done talking!" as the third-year clasped Midoriya's shoulder.
"Togata... I really don't want to get into another fight," the green-haired boy said with some bite. As he turned his head around... "However, if you don't get your hand off me in the next 20 seconds... you'll be kissing the fucking concrete."
Togata felt that. Midoriya was emitting some killer intent but he was also clenching his fist, ready to deliver the first strike of the afternoon.
"Wait Wait Wait! Midori, let's hear him out first!"
Midoriya unclenched his fist, relaxing, nodding for Togata to continue.
"Unfortunately, it seems that All-Might believes that you're better off in General Education."
"... because of one fight?" Midoriya sounding a bit angered.
"I'm sorry... but yes."
Midoriya took a deep breath but was angered on the inside. If Kensei was here now, he'd have that 'told you so' moment, and the kicker: he's starting to see Kensei's side of things, why he's not a big fan of Pro Heroes.
"What about the rest?"
"Nezu believes it's your choice if you want to continue pursuing Heroics. Aizawa believes you should be in Gen Ed but for a month. The rest? They're on your side actually, even Monoma's homeroom teacher."
This caught the two off-guard actually.
'Wait, they're not against me?! As in they-wow.'
"To add, if Monoma acts up again, he'll be on probation. If he does it again, he'll be demoted to Gen Ed."
"That's great! Midori, this is good news!" exclaimed Mina while hugging Midoriya who was still in a bit of disbelief.
"Well, there's more good news!" exclaimed Togata. "If you want to prove All-Might wrong? Prove it in the Final Exams! On top of that, you also got an invite to I-Expo."
"I-Expo? Wait, I-Island? The big showcase on all the latest advancements of Quirk research? That I-Expo?!" near-yelled Izuku, letting his inner nerd out.
"Yup. On top of that, our invites come with a friend pass."
Mina's eyes lit up at the mention of friend pass. However, Midoriya nodded yes which made the pink girl happy.
"I hope this talk cleared your head for a bit, Midoriya."
The green-haired kid nodded yes. Togata looked at the time and said: "Whoops! Gotta make it back to class!"
Cafeteria
"They were gone for a while, were they?" said Todoroki.
"You don't think..." Kendo added.
"No. No. He wouldn't, right?" Momo responded, albeit worried.
As soon as they saw Mina and Izuku walk out of the hallway, they bombarded them with a few questions, but Jiro was the first to notice.
"You didn't get into a fight! No bruises!"
"Oh… right… well, almost. Keyword being almost."
"I feel something would have set you off..." said Todoroki.
Midoriya had to explain that Togata along with some of the teachers were willing to give him a chance. The whole group sighed in relief because of that but once they reached the topic of All-Might, a tonal shift was already there.
"... he believes I'm better off in General Education."
"It's because of that one fight, is it?" question Momo but there was an air of disappointment in her tone.
"Yup..."
"That's unmanly of him, bro," Kirishima agreed. "Monoma provoked you first."
"To think All-Might of all people would say that..." Jirou said.
"I thought that someone like All-Might would be a little more supportive," Todoroki spoke up, but one can tell he was disappointed.
The whole circle reached a small consensus: they were disappointed in how All-Might handled this situation.
All-Might's Office
Yagi was sitting in his office, waiting for Togata to come back, but lo and behold, he arrives.
"Ah, Young Togata. How did the meeting go with Young Midoriya?"
Togata took a few seconds to answer, "It almost went wrong... You were right. However, he deserves a second chance!"
"... Elaborate."
"Look, the Final Exams and I-Expo are excellent opportunities for Midoriya to prove that he belongs in the Heroes Course!"
Yagi sighed a bit, he was glad for Togata's ever-present optimism but this? This situation with Midoriya would get worse. All because of Kensei Kasumi, that name he couldn't say without clenching his fist.
"All-Might... is something the matter?"
With a heavy sigh, no, it's better to reveal part of it now, he thought. His successor deserved that at least.
"Yes... it's someone who you might have to fight inevitably."
"Wait, is it All For One?!"
"No. It's someone just as worse. The martial arts-using vigilante... Shichisei," Yagi said with some venom.
"Wait... was he-"
"No, he wasn't. However, prior to his arrest, I did have a few encounters with him," Yagi said. As he stood up, he continued, "Take note, Young Togata. One of my most difficult clashes with him was the attempt to detain a disgraced Pro Hero..."
Denon City
All-Might was by himself tailing after a speedster-based criminal known as Max Accel. From a brief report provided by his sidekick, Accel was a showboater but he had the skill to back it up.
"Now where would he be?"
"Too... slow...!" yelled a voice. As All-Might turned around, he got a good view of him, he was wearing a light blue bodysuit with a motorcycle helmet with slanted vents on them.
"Max Accel! HALT!"
"Yea, sure!" exclaimed the speedster.
Name: Max Accel
Accelerator – A speedster's ideal Quirk in which he can increase his speed further until his limit [Mach 6]. One drawback is that they won't be able to hear orders and slowing down has to be done consciously.
"HALT!" yelled All-Might once again but sprinted further.
"Oh, shit!"
Triple Alter!
All-Might still kept on him but was surprised for a moment at how he increased his speed. He was getting close... very close...
"PSYCHE!"
He made a left turn, throwing off All-Might for a bit... causing the hero to pursue him once again.
"Max Accel? Sounds hero-"
"He was a pro hero but was in it for the money. As time went on, he was implicated in a series of violent robberies and... manslaughter."
Max Accel managed to lose All-Might for now, especially since he went into a different part of Denon City. The suburban parts. All ripe for the picking.
"Uh-huh," said a masculine voice. The speedster turned around to see it. A man in a biker jacket of sorts, slight V-neck, and most of all: midnight blue mask that smooth, complete with twin curved horns that were at the top. The smoothed-out shoulders were a nice touch though.
"Hey, hey. I'm no-"
"Max Accel, implicated in several robberies, several counts of bodily harm towards civilians, and abusing your authority as a Pro Hero. Is that it? Oh and manslaughter."
"Who the fuck are you..."
"You don't need to know..."
In a moment, Max Accel would try blitzing him!
POW!
Max Accel felt his jaw slam shut as he's been sent up into the air. The ex-hero landed on his ass, feeling the impact. "What... the ...fuck..." clutching his jaw. Accel wondered what the fuck he did to him but he needed to take this fucker down and now, he doesn't need another pursuer on his tail.
"Well, you fucked up by fighting me!"
Accelerator Blow!
A flurry of jabs and hooks, all powered by his Quirk, were being sent into the horned mask-wearer. However, there was one issue.
None were connecting!
None!
WHIFF!
WHIFF!
WHIFF!
"How is-"
WHIFF!
"-This fucker-"
WHIFF!
"-Making me-"
WHIFF!
"-Miss!"
As Accel was getting a bit frustrated, the mask-wearer was biding his time... now!
BIFF!
"What the?!" said Accel in disbelief as his fist was caught by the wrist.
"My turn."
POW!
Hokuto Point Chime!
A lethal uppercut was sent into the ex-hero's jawline, shattering a couple of front teeth, and also possibly... possibly... breaking his pride.
"W...Wh...What d...did you d...do to me?" Accel wheezed.
GHACK!
GHACK!
He was coughing up blood but you think he'd take that chance to give up?
"You fuck! YOU-" as Accel threw an uppercut with his free arm, hitting the mask-wearer in the ribs. However, that would his next AND last mistake.
SNAP!
The mask-wearer caught the arm and snapped it like a twig over his knee, making the limb dangle like a meat hook. The horrific part is that bone was sticking out.
"FUCKK! FUCKKK!" screamed Accel in absolute pain as fell to the ground, clutching his broken arm. "The f-f-fuck...! I never did anything to you!" he begged. "I don't know you! J-J-Just let me go, I'll turn myself in!"
"Don't bother struggling."
"Why?"
As soon as he answered, he felt a stinging sensation... he was writhing in pain! He was shaking and thrashing in absolute pain.
Hokuto Strike-Down Fingers!
THUNK!
Four fingers struck the ex-hero's forehead, shocking him.
"W-W-What did you do?!" Accel near-yelled, fearing what the vigilante had in mind.
"Keiraku Hiko: Hyakkai - The moment I remove my fingers, you'll have three seconds to live."
"W-W-What!?"
"In short, you're already dead."
As he removed his fingers, the countdown started.
3..
"I just wanted...!"
2..
"The money was good...!"
1..
SLPORCH!
The disgraced hero's face exploded like a balloon filled with too much water, complete with teeth, eyes, and viscera splattering the floor. The coup de grace was the remains falling to the ground.
As soon as the stranger started to leave...
"You..."
"Oh, you're a bit late."
"Shichisei...!" mutter All-Might with some venom.
Mirio's mouth dropped at two things:
- Shichisei's utter ruthlessness
- All-Might actually referring to someone with venom vocally
"This... this... why I believe Midoriya needs to be saved. Saved from that demon's influence!" Yagi emphasized the second-to-last part.
"I can't let you go," All-Might said as he took his stance, a basic one you'd see in mixed martial arts. "You're coming with me, willingly or by force."
"You'll be disappointed then..." as Kensei took his stance.
The first one to make the move would be All-Might! Instead of one of his trademark punches, he was aiming for a roundhouse kick, right at Shichisei's head, intending to knock him out.
BAM!
As soon as he made contact, All-Might blocked at the last moment, realizing that the vigilante before him took the same option: roundhouse kick.
"I'm still taking you in!"
Detroit...
Hokuto...
SMASH/POINT CHIME!
BOOM!
Both attacks landed! Both fighters were reeling from that impact but All-Might had it worse, he was coughing up blood already! Kensei recovered slightly quicker, intending to finish this fight so the Number One doesn't get the chance to call in more Pro Heroes.
The Number One attempted to throw a punch!
WHIFF!
"Nice try..." as Shichisei caught the hero by the wrist and followed up with...
BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM!
'Fu...'
BAM! BAM!
All-Might's vision was starting to swirl...
'I'm going to... no. Not yet!'
BOOM!
All-Might woke up and delivered a variation of the Detroit Smash! A deadly overhand strike into Shichisei's masked face! He skidded across the ground but recovered enough, only to see the Number One barrelling towards him for a tackle!
"This ends now, vigilante!"
However, it was a feint.
All-Might switched upwards to grab the vigilante's face for his new move: headbutt.
BAM!
BAM!
"This is-"
BAM!
"-The last-"
BAM!
"Time!"
BAM!
"You'll-"
BAM!
"Kill-"
BAM!
"Anyone!"
BAM!
Shichisei's mask cracked a bit but stood tall. He was definitely shaking from all those blows but it was clear: All-Might's improved from their last encounter. However, so did he. The vigilante gripped the hero's hands off his face but added a twist...
CRACK!
GAHH!
Shichisei cracked both his opponent's index fingers while prying his hands off.
"Walk away, All-Might. I'm giving you this one chance. Otherwise... I can't guarantee that you'll be walking the next day."
"Never... I will never! You don't walk after something like that!"
"...just so know, I gave you a chance to walk away."
All-Might's response was a front kick dead-center, making the vigilante let go, and then attempt for a straight punch to the bastard's skull.
"What the?!" as All-Might saw the vigilante dip as soon as the punch was millimeters away. From his face! It was an afterimage, he thought.
The hero now realized that Shichisei slid underneath his feet very quickly and was... right... behind... him!
Before the vigilante could respond, All-Might back-stepped for a bit, then circled around him... then increased his speed!
"What the?!" exclaimed the vigilante.
Windy City's Pace!
All-Might now launched an entire volley of strikes: straight punches, jabs, crosses, and hooks. All while running circles around him! Blocking was his only option for now.
Windy City Smash!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM! BAM!
BAM! BAM!
As Shichisei still defended himself, he's starting to feel the impacts of All-Might's barrage, he's definitely improved. A mix of Boxing and Karate, he thought. As the barrage kept going, he had to do something... he had to time it.
Any moment...
Right...
NOW!
A-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA!
'Wha-'
A-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA!
All of the All-Might after-images disappeared as soon as he dropped to a knee, face battered, chest covered in TONS of bruising, but worst of all, he still had that defiant look towards Shichisei.
"You... won't... get... away..." sputtered All-Might. "As long as I'm standing, I'll never stop chasing you. Not until you're finally behind bars...! "
"I'll give you credit, you're more durable than you appear to be," Shichisei stated, but his mask was barely holding together. "However, this fight's over. So don't push it, All-Might."
All-Might struggled to get up, still bleeding, and took his stance once again. However, it was a boxer's stance this time.
"You should feel honored! I came up with a few new Super Moves, all inspired by you!" yelled All-Might as he dashed forward. Shichisei was ready and waiting.
All-Might was bobbing and weaving?
'Wait, is he-'
Manassas...
Mauler...
SMASH!
Shichisei was feeling everything all at once, like a pendulum bouncing back and forth at the highest speed. This All-Might might actually bring him in!
"This ends it once and for all!" screamed the Number One, intending to KO Shichisei.
"That hurt like a bitch..." muttered Shichisei. He leaped into the air to deliver a flying knee! Right into All-Might's already bloody nose!
KRIK-KRACK!
All-Might's devastating combo stopped with him clutching his nose but the vigilante capitalized on it.
CHOP!
A couple of downward hammer-fists made All-Might gag in pain, then the follow-up...
SMACK!
All-Might and the vigilante exchanged a devastating punch at the same time!
"The fu...ck... he's still standing?! Well, I'll give you credit... you're fucking hard to take down."
"As long as I remain standing... My spirit shall never waver...!"
All-Might threw himself at him for one last attack!
'Another tackle or punch...?'
It was none of those, he swung around him and then got him with the most surprising move: the rear-naked choke!
As he tightened the hold, Shichisei was feeling the airway slowly constrict...
"You... won't... get... away this time. I'm bringing you in!"
"Sure... make promises... you can't keep!"
"It doesn't-AH!" yelped All-Might as Shichisei yanked on his ears and delivered the coup de grace...
WHAM!
An upward kick sent straight into All-Might's face!
"GACK! You... think... that... will-"
WHAM!
WHAM!
WHAM!
"That... won't... make... me bre-"
WHAM!
WHAM!
With those kicks alone, All-Might's chokehold was starting to loosen...
A few more will do the trick.
WHAM! WHAM! WHAM!
Almost there...
WHAM! WHAM!
All-Might finally let go, but he was occupied with wiping the blood off his broken nose... and his eyes.
"Where are you?!" yelled All-Might.
"Right here, cao ni ma."
Shichisei landed an uppercut into All-Might's chin!
BAM!
"I gave you a chance to walk away, All-Might!"
"And I promised to bring you in!"
"... I won't kill you, All-Might. I'll just fuck you up to the point where you'll be in the hospital for a while..."
Hokuto Hundred Crack Fist!
All-Might tried in vain to punch the vigilante...
BAM!
Shichisei aimed for the liver, making All-Might gag, but to the vigilante's surprise, it hurt him more than he thought.
A-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA!
All-Might couldn't do it... Shichisei would likely kill him... that promise to his mentor...
As the blows intensified, the Number One felt his body being gradually forced to the ground...
the ground beneath him cracking...
KRIK-KRACK!
All-Might waited for the final strike...
Nothing came.
"W-What are you-"
"As I said, I won't kill you. But know this, I beat you," the vigilante responded as he walked away. However, he had some difficulty maintaining his balance, clutching his head, muttering to himself about how the Symbol of Peace hits much harder than last time.
All-Might couldn't believe it... he thought this vigilante would be easy to catch. Now? He wanted to catch the bastard more than ever.
Never had he felt so impotent. Not since his mentor's death...
'No matter... I-I'll just...'
He didn't finish his thoughts as he passed out...
As Yagi finished his encounter, Mirio was shocked at this. No, shocked would be an understatement.
"Now you know... why Midoriya needs to be separated from that demon," Yagi stated. "If we don't, then I fear that Midoriya will fall further... and it'll be too late."
"I... I understand, but there's still a chance, right?" Mirio asked, uneasy about this.
"I'm not entirely sure, Young Togata. I'm not sure, but promise me this. The moment you see Shichisei? You detain him."
"... if Midoriya's there with him?"
"We will cross that bridge once we get there..."
Mirio thought there would be a positive conclusion to this whole thing. However, the whole revelation about Shichisei and how Midoriya might be his apprentice threw everything out of whack.
'Midoriya, All-Might's wrong about you, you won't fall. That's my promise as Lemillion.' as the blonde third-year clenched his fists in determination.
Author's Notes: As of now, three new members are part of the Emerald Squad: Kendo, Jirou, and Kirishima. Oh, you thought Mirio Togata was gonna brawl with Midoriya? Who said it had to happen immediately.
On a brutality scale of 1-10, how would you grade Kensei/Shichisei in this fight?
Triple Alter - A Super Move in which the speedster increases his speed above the speed of sound [Mach 4].
