Chapter 599.
"Back home with new company."
- Also, Happy Father's Day everyone.
(Castaway Island.)
Now is the time to leave, it's Sunday and that means they're one week stay on Castaway Island, within Lake Eddy is done, and they can get back home and see their families again. Back to the normal in Royal Woods.
Peter Harris is there and he's helping haul their luggage back into the dropship, with Michelle Lewis helping out and same with the others. Becca on the other hand is taking a few more pics of the jungle, and then she goes over and helps out.
Luna and Sam come out from the house and they have some of the other bags that they brought with them and they help load the items into the dropship. Then they look to the other kids getting ready to say goodbye to the lake monster.
Lincoln, Jordan, Gretchen, Ryan, Sid and Adelaide all look to Plessy who is now near the beach house and they pet her head. Each of them are upset that they have to go, but they can't stay either, and Plessy understands.
Lincoln. "We all had a lot of awesome and watery fun with you, Plessy. But we have to go home now, our families are waiting for us to come back. We will come back to see you one day."
Jordan. "But we will come back again, soon. When the time does come, we will come back here and see you again and we're gonna bring the others to see you one last time, Plessy."
Gretchen. "I had such a blast riding on you, and seeing the underwater world of the lake. You are one awesome lake monster, and the stories I heard about you are so wrong, you're not a bad creature."
Ryan. "Truly the best legend Michigan has ever had. Nothing can beat the legend of the greatest Lake Monster around, so long big guy and stay safe too."
Sid. "We'll keep the secret safe, and that no one will ever come and harm you big guy. We're so gonna miss you, but we will come back, and that's a promise I don't intend to break either."
Adelaide. "I wanna stay longer and be with you big guy, but this is what it has to be. Thank you for making our one week stay here the best ever, Plessy!"
The lake monster smiles and he goes closer and lets them hug him and they do so. "So long, Plessy!" They soon depart from the hug and watch the large lake monster dive back into the lake, and they can no longer see Plessy anymore.
The group of kids then walk back to the others, Sid then pulls her little sister close to her and Adelaide wipes away some of her tears. "Don't worry, sis. We'll see Plessy again" said Sid.
"Yeah, I know, It's just so hard saying goodbye to someone you made friends with, makes me recall Froggy, but I know he's in a better place" replied Adelaide.
Sid and Adelaide go inside of the dropship, then Peter Harris goes to the others. "Alright, so from what you guys reported, we're gonna be keeping an eye on Plessy. If the lake monster is showing signs of something wrong, then we'll inform the rest of you guys."
They all nod to this. "We wanna be sure we can spend some last moments with Plessy before we have to…. Permanently say goodbye to the lake monster, this is gonna be rough" said Jordan.
"But we'll manage" said Lincoln. "Because Plessy wouldn't want us to be upset over the loss of his own life, there will be another to take his place as the Lake monster of Lake Eddy."
Peter Harris nods. "True. We're also gonna let some of the burst drones enter the cave and monitor the current conditions of the egg, to ensure that the creature within is as healthy as it will be before it's gonna hatch. No way we're gonna let some scoundrels come to the island and do something."
Then they spot the Panther come out of the house and help with the baskets of fruit they plan to bring back for Royal Woods and Great Lakes City, mostly for the Mercado and Lynn's Table.
Peter is still shocked by the panther they found. "So, this big feline is coming with you guys?"
Michelle then grabs the bags from Lincoln, and the boy helps her. "Yeah, he is coming with us" replied Michelle. "The big cat is a friend of Bullet, and since he seems attached to me, he's coming along for the whole family to see, and we spoke about a meeting last night, and he will be a surprise."
"We even came up with the name" said Luna. "Well, Michelle did."
Michelle then tells the name and she looks to the panther. "Come here, Bernardo." The panther then goes over to Michelle and she pets his head. "Yeah, I named him after my deceased granduncle and all because he's sworn to keep me safe, and the rest of us."
"Also, I felt as if he was watching us the whole time since we came to this island, so it seemed fitting to name him after someone who hasn't stopped caring me and seeing me as family, and I see this big feline as family too." she then pets the panther's head and scratches his chin and thus makes the big cat purr.
Peter smirks. He goes over and pets the big cat too. "Well, he sure is friendly and protective from how I see it. The others are gonna be in for a damn surprise when they see you, big guy." He then goes back into the dropship, and so does Michelle and the others.
The eagles also fly into the dropship, Lincoln takes one good look at the island and smiles. 'Till the next time, Castaway Island.' He then goes into the dropship and the main door closes.
(In the air.)
The dropship is now in the air, and the group inside look out the window and watch as the island is slowly disappearing from view. But they do smile at the sight of Plessy breaching from the water and waving to them with his flipper and they all wave back.
The panther, Bernardo looks out the window as well, and is wearing a red and black collar, and sees the island he knew is slowly going away, Bullet stands next to him. "Yeah, I know the feeling. But the start of a new life is worth everything, trust me." He then stands next to his mate, Swellow.
Michelle then sits next to the panther. "This is hard, I know. Glad you did wanna come along, and get ready to be part of the new family." She then scratches his head and they look at the island fading away.
The dropship then begins to stay still and it makes the jump through the air and great speed.
(Royal Woods.)
At the town of Royal Woods, the whole group of families are all looking forward to the return of their fellow family members. We see the Louds, along with the Rosato parents, The Sharps, Hope and her parents, along with the Carson's and Mark Warren, and then we have Stanley Chang, and Adelaide's pet frog.
They all wait at the restaurant of Lynn's Table, because they were told to meet them there.
"Can't wait for them to come here and tell us all that they did!" said Lola with glee. 'I wonder if they brought something rare and shiny too!'
"We must be patient" said Lisa. "But still, the transportation that are riding on is capable of bringing them back home at such great speed. So we shouldn't wait for too long."
Angel is very excited. "I can't wait, we're gonna spend the remaining summer with them. Until they have to go to the summer rock tour."
"Yeah, and a damn shame that my mom and dad aren't here yet" said Mark Warren. "But they will be here soon, they just need to finish setting up the new company here in town first, then they'll come for something to eat at this restaurant."
"And they will not be disappointed either!" cheered Lynn Sr. "Because here at Lynn's Table, we serve great food at a great price." They all chuckle and know the slogan of the restaurant.
"Guys, there they are!" said Jesse as she uses her binoculars. "They're here!"
They all spot the dropship break from warp speed, and then it slowly makes it's descend and the family and the other friends cheer for their return from their own one week vacation.
The dropship slowly lands down and as the door opens, the first ones to come out are Sid and Adelaide. "Dad!" They go over and hug Stanley Chang, and the man is also glad to see his daughters, and then Becca goes to him and they share a small kiss.
Sam goes over and embraces her parents, and Simon. Gretchen with her Yamper go to her parents, and also hug Hope, and then Jordan along with Ryan go over and hug they're mom and dad and Ajax too, he missed them so much.
Lincoln and Luna then get ready and they get one heck of a family hug from their loud family, then Leni drags Michelle into this hug, and of course the pets missed them and Lana's Butterfree, and the eagles decide to fly off and check on Harrier and Nora and they're eggs.
As they all enjoy this hug, they all feel this large purring. "What the heck was that?" asked Lynn Jr. "Was that Cliff?"
"No, Cliff doesn't do that kind of…. Whoa!" Leni sees what's joining them.
The rest of the family back away, and the others also see this. They all see the panther, and then Lily goes over and she hugs the large feline, and the panther hugs her too.
They notice the collar around the neck of the large feline. "Whoa! We got a new family member?!" asked Lana.
Luna chuckles. "Sorta, he's with Michelle and would rather not leave her side. But still, Michelle is a part of the loud family, and that means Bernardo here is also part of our family."
Lola and Lana go over and interact with the panther, and so do the others who were fascinated by this friendly predatory feline. "Wow. Didn't think this day could… Are those fresh fruit?!" Lynnard goes over and grabs the fresh fruit.
"This is gonna go great with whatever I have planned to make today!" said Lynn Sr. "Time to open up the restaurant, because lunch service is now on!"
They all smile at this, and then all of them begin to chant. "Happy Father's Day!" The louds present a scrapbook of Lynn's memories to the man, and it shows the pictures of how he came to be from the start of his childhood.
He's not the only one though. The other's also cheer out Happy Father's Day to their dad's and show them what they have as gifts, and this truly makes this returning family day into something that is worth being a surprise.
Lynnard wipes away his tears. "You guys! We're so gonna have an amazing lunch today!"
"No, dad." Lori takes the basket of fresh fruits. "We're gonna make you all a dang good lunch!" The rest of the kids all join in, and they all grab they're dad's and enter the restaurant, for one delicious father's day lunch party.
The panther, Bernardo is surprised by what just happened. "Is this even normal?" He looks to the other pets who all have no clue, but this is how everyone lives and breathes in town, and they also head into the restaurant and see what the kids have in store for everyone.
(Outside of Town.)
We now see two cousins hiding inside of an RV, and the duo are getting ready for what they have planned before they go into town. "Alright, so we have the plan set and made, and then we can retake that damned mansion and the riches too!"
"Yeah, Michelle doesn't deserve all of that, and then we're going after those kids who got her out of jail!"
Oscar and Emily then look to their plan again, and then they slowly drive the RV through the woods and head for the location of the neighborhood known as, Royal Dawn.
