Title card: Baby Steps
"AWWWWWW!" everyone gushed.
"Look at them!" squealed Becky.
"They're so cute!" gushed Carlota.
"That brings back so many memories." Leni cooed.
"And to us too!" sobbed Howard, blowing his nose.
The Loud sisters gathered around Lincoln.
"Our little Linky." Leni said with a fond smile.
"You were so cute as a baby." giggled Luna.
"And you still are to this day." giggled Luan.
And the next thing Lincoln knew, his sisters were either hissing his head, cheeks or nose and/or pinching his cheeks.
[Night at the Loud House, and Lincoln is sleeping in his room with his dog Charles. His walkie talkie comes on itself.]
Lincoln: [jumps on his bed in surprise] "AAAAHHH!"
Clyde: "Slumberjack! Come in! It's Night Owl!"
[Lincoln opens his drawer of toys and grabs his walkie talkie.]
Clyde: "Slumberjack! Do you read me?"
Lincoln: "Clyde?"
Clyde: "Sorry about the late hour, but I have the best news ever!"
"It has to be that important if you're calling him at such a time." said Sid.
Lincoln: "Lori found the book of poems you wrote about her and realized she's in love with you?"
"Only half of that's true." Lori muttered, making Clyde giggle nervously.
Clyde: "Okay, second best news ever. My dads are having another baby!" [Lincoln gasps] "I'm gonna be a big brother!"
Everyone who didn't know the full story gasped.
"Clyde has a baby sibling?!" exclaimed Nikki.
"Why didn't you tell us?!" asked Adelaide.
"Is it a boy or a girl!?" asked CJ.
"Everyone calm down!" said Clyde. "I would tell you, but that would spoil the story."
"Just wait and see." said Harold.
Lincoln: "Clyde, that's amazing! Did they just tell you?"
Clyde: "Well, not exactly. But I've been noticing clues for a while."
[Flashback starts with Clyde in the laundry room, walks out with a mop and a bucket of things to clean with. Clyde stops and looks at the clothes from the washing machine.]
Clyde: "Baby clothes?"
"Pink huh? So it must be a girl." said Casey.
Those who knew tried hard not to say anything… with Lori and Luna covering Leni's mouth.
[Second flashback starts with Clyde in the kitchen, opening the refrigerator to grab a carton of milk. He opens the dishwasher, he saw baby bottles.]
Clyde: "Baby bottles?"
"So tiny…" Bobby mused.
[Third flashback of Clyde bringing his cat Cleopawtra home.]
Clyde: "Come on, Cleopawtra."
[Clyde see his dads, Harold with 2 nails in his mouth and holding a hammer, and Howard with a notepad and pencil.]
Harold: "There. Can't be too safe with a little one on the loose."
Howard: [sighs] "That reminds me, we need to secure loose cables, and cover the outlets, and lock up the cleaning supplies."
"Yes babies to tend to get into trouble with various stuff without even realizing it." said Carlos.
All the parents and grandparents nodded in agreement.
[Flashback ends back to Lincoln and Clyde.]
Clyde: "So it was pretty clear what was going on. But I wasn't positive until about 5 minutes ago."
[Flashback starts with Clyde walking in the bathroom at night and Howard and Harold talking to each other in their bedroom.]
Harold: "Well, Howie, I think our home is ready. But what about our hearts? Do we really have room for another little bundle of joy?"
[Clyde peeks out of the bathroom holding a roll of toilet paper staring at the viewers.]
Howard: "Of course we do, Harebear." [gasps] "I cannot wait to surprise Clyde."
"You really oughta close the door next time." advised Kotaro.
Howard and Harold nodded.
[Clyde dances out of the bathroom; flashback ends back with Lincoln and Clyde.]
Clyde: "Being a big brother is the most important job I'll ever have. Apart from being Lori's soulmate. I need to make sure I'm ready for it!"
Lincoln: "You woke up the right guy Clyde. I got the Big Brother thing down to a science. Why don't you spend a day shadowing me so you can learn firsthand?"
"You are in good hands Clydesdale." smirked Luna.
"Yeah, Lincoln's great as a big brother," said Lynn. "He does so well with our 5 youngest sisters."
"Thanks guys." smiled Lincoln.
Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, and Lana smiled too though Lucy, Lola, Lisa, and Lily seemed nervous.
Everyone noticed.
"What's with you four?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"What did you do?" Carl asked with a suspicious look.
Clyde: "Sweet! I'm on my way." [gets off his bed and puts on his jacket.]
Lincoln: "Love that enthusiasm, Night Owl, but it's 1:00 AM."
"1:00 AM?!" Albert exclaimed.
"That is way too early!" exclaimed Maria.
"Guess I got too excited." Clyde said sheepishly.
Clyde: [chuckles] "Right. See you at 9:00, Slumber Jack."
Lincoln: "Sleep well, Night Owl."
[Cuts to next morning]
Lincoln: "Okay, Clyde, allow me to introduce Lincoln Loud's 3 C's of Big Brothering: Confidence, caring, and when all else fails, cookies." [passes Clyde a fanny pack full of cookies.]
"That's a good list." commented Stella.
"That's our big brother!" Lola said proudly, making Lincoln smile.
Clyde: [takes a cookie out] "Snickerdoodles, my favorite."[Tries to eat one, but Lincoln takes it away.]
Lincoln: "Ah ah ah. Those aren't for us. Now, time to start my rounds so you can observe the 3 C's in action." [puts on a fanny pack]
[As they step out of the room, Lily starts crying.]
Lincoln: "Hear that?" [sporting sunglasses] "First big brother cue of the day!"
[Lily is crying because she smashed her thumb with her toy hammer while playing with her hardware toys, showing a red soreness spot.]
"Oh poor Lily!" Dana said with a sad expression.
"That does tend to happen to a lot of young kids that are still learning to play with stuff." said Frida, thinking of Carlitos' experiences.
Lincoln: "First up, Confidence." [walks up to Lily] "Don't worry, Lily. Your big brother's here to help. Let's get a look at that thumb of yours." [looks at it] "Just what I thought: a boo-boo. This calls for caring."
[Clyde takes notes]
Lincoln: "Aw. I'm sorry you got such a bad ouchie. But we can make it better." [Kisses it, gives Lily her corn popper and takes her hammer; thumbs up to Clyde.]
"Aww!" everyone gushed.
"Thanks Lincoln… I love you." Lily said as she kissed Lincoln´s cheek.
"AWWWWWW!" the girls cooed.
Lincoln smiled as he played with Lily's tuft of hair, making her giggle.
Clyde: "Wow. You didn't even need a cookie."
Lily: "Cookie?" [begs for one]
Lincoln: [gives Lily the cookie] "Sometimes it's safer to spell."
"Good advice. You don't want your kids or younger siblings to get used to having rewards for everything." nodded Maria.
"Yeah could lead to really tantrums." said Bobby. He turned to Ronnie Anne. "Big and destructive tantrums." he said with a knowing look.
"Oh ha-ha-ha." Ronnie Anne said sarcastically.
[off in the distance]
Lola: "LANA! STOP IT!
Lana: "MAKE ME!"
"Oh god not again." Lori groaned.
Lincoln: "Sounds like a twin fight. This should be very educational."
"And something for entertainment." said Mr. Grouse, eating some popcorn.
[Lola and Lana are having a big fight in their room.]
Lincoln: "Alright, Clyde, what do you think we need here?"
Clyde: [going through his notes] "Um... confidence?"
[Lincoln steps in and breaks up the fight between the twins who are dressed as a princess and a knight.]
Lincoln: "What seems to be the problem?"
Lola: "Lana's supposed to be guarding my Princess tower, not attacking it!"
Lincoln: "Now, Lana-"
Lana: "Aw, guarding is boring! Attacking is cool!" [attacks the tower made out of cushions with her toy sword.]
"Lana, I know you like attacking stuff, but not if it makes your sister upset." said Lynn Sr.
"I know." sighed Lana.
Lincoln: "Clyde, any guesses?"
Clyde: "Um... caring?"
Lincoln: [nods to Clyde; to the twins] "I think I know a compromise that will make you both happy." [wraps a dirty old robe around him and attacks the tower.] "The evil troll is attacking your tower! Rawr!"
Twins: [bursting with excitement] "GET HIM!"
"Having twins fighting so often must be quite hard for you." Maria mused.
"It can become crazy…" said Rita.
"Specially if somehow Lola's dress gets a stain." said Lori.
"And if one of Lana's pets get hurt." added Lynn Sr.
"Still I'm surprised how well Lincoln can keep peace between them." Rita said with an impressed look at her son.
"He really is the only one that can actually stop the twins from fighting." Lori said in agreement.
"That's because Lincoln is awesome." Lana said as she hugged her big brother, followed by Lola.
"And he at least hear us out and doesn't get angry cause we are (turns to Lori) interrupting her texting time with her boyfriend." Lola muttered.
"Or leave us deaf with her music scaring my animals in the process." Lana spat to Luna.
"Or get us dirty with pies or try to make us fight her." Lola added to Luan and Lynn.
"Or seal us in a chamber." Lana added to Lisa.
"On the plus side i have be able to increase the effectiveness of my silence chambers an 8%." said Lisa.
[They defend their tower from the big brother troll.]
"A least that time I wasn't forced to do it." Lincolnb muttered.
"What does that mean?" asked Rita.
Looking angrily at the twins making them wince and chuckle nervously then Lincoln said, "Remember from 'Get the Message' when these two were being hall cops?" he asked.
Everyone nodded but the Loud parents glared at the twins making them more nervous.
"Well I was in my room reading comic in my undies when I had to go to the bathroom really bad so I ran for it but then these 2 stopped me and put me on trial and found me guilty and made me the knight who had to slay the dragon (Lana) and save the Princess (Lola) but I still had use the bathroom." Lincoln finished. (1)
"Girls!" Lynn Sr. and Rita excaimed, making them wince and chuckle nervously.
Clyde: "Nice! And once again, you didn't need the C-O-O-K-I-E-S."
[Despite Clyde's spelling, the princess and knight realize that...]
Twins: "THE TROLL'S GOT COOKIES!" [They attack Lincoln to get what they want.]
"Girls! You could've just asked for a cookie, you didn't have to attack him!" Rita exclaimed.
"Sorry Linc." the twins said in unison.
Lola: "I saw them!"
Lincoln: [holding them back] "Another tip: six-year-olds can spell."
[The fight resumes]
Lola: "I need-"
Lana: "-cookies!"
"Again… destructive tantrums," said Bobby.
Ronnie Anne growled at him but that only made Bobby chuckle.
[The boys go into the kitchen where Lincoln, after being assaulted by the princess and knight, is getting some ice. Enter Lisa.]
Lisa: "Elder brother, I require your assistance."
Lincoln: [with frozen peas on his black eye]
"Lola! Lana!" Rita scolded as everyone glared at the two for giving Lincoln a shiner just for cookies.
Lola and Lana turned to lincoln in guilt and said, "We're sorry Lincoln."
Lincoln smiled at them. "It's alright don't worry."
Lincoln: "What can I help you with, Lisa? Lab explosion? Nuclear crisis?"
"Wait… what did you mean with 'Nuclear crisis"'?!" Albert asked in alarm.
"Well sometimes I get leaks thanks to the quality of my equipment or because of accidents caused by the surrounding chaos of my family, and since Lincoln is the only one capable of handling radioactive materials, apart from me, I tend to ask his help to clean any leak or help dispose of waste." Lisa replied.
Everyone looked in shock at her.
Albert turned to Rita and Lynn Sr. "Please tell me you DON'T let Lisa use actual radioactive materials." he asked firmly.
The other adults also turned to see the couple, everyone with equal shocked faces.
"Well...ummmm." Rita stammered, rubbing her arm.
"She is a smart girl and...he has the government's permission?" Lynn Sr. laughed nervously, noticing no one thought it was funny.
"We make sure she has all the needed tools to handle it." Rita said, trying to make peace.
"And if not I always ask the university for it." Lisa added.
Everyone was still shocked as they faced the screen again.
"I don't even know what to say about that." muttered Rusty.
"Me neither." said Zach.
Lisa: "No. I have a hankering for a PB&J."
Lincoln: "Coming right up!" [begins making a sandwich]
"They are very delicious." Sam said in agreement.
Lisa: [to Clyde] "I can isolate uranium, but they won't let me use a butter knife.
Albert turns to glare at Rita.
"Does sounds a bit hypocritical, I mean if she can play with things that can literally blow the town what damage can a butter knife do?." Stella asked.
"I'm not playing, I'm making science." Lisa said in annoyance.
Lisa: Also, I like the way Lincoln makes my sandwiches."
Lincoln: [with the completed sandwich] "Here you go. Easy on the jelly, crusts cut off, and sliced into four right triangles for optimum mouth fit."
Lisa: [takes it] "Thank you. Technically, they're isosceles, but I'm not gonna bite the hand that feeds me."
"No one can make a perfect sandwich like you, older brother." Lisa praised.
Lincoln smiled and petted Lisa´s head messing with her hair but she didn't stop him.
"Yeah, Lincoln knows us all very well." Luan said in agreement.
"Given how he did all of your scrambled eggs specifically to your liking in the episode with the project about you guys, I can tell." Margo said.
[As she walks off and Lincoln is putting the sandwich supplies away, Lucy pops out of nowhere.]
Lincoln: "AAH!" [drops sandwich supplies]
Lucy: "Hey, Lincoln, could you help me with a poem for school? I need a rhyme for "tomb"."
Lincoln: [washing himself off and thinking] "Hmm... Gloom? Doom? Powder room?"
Lucy: "I knew I could depend on you." [smells something] "Do I smell snickerdoodles?"
[Lincoln gives her one and she leaves.]
"And again your talent in poetry shines through." Haiku praised before looking at Lincoln. "You sure I can't tempt you to join our club?"
Lincoln smiled. "Thanks for the offer, but not sure how good I would be in a goth club not being goth myself."
"I joined it before." said Lola.
"Yeah, but you gave it a good fashion sense." said Lincoln. "Besides, I'm not in their school anymore."
"Still they are right, Lincoln you do are quite rhyming. Maybe you could join the poetry class at your school?" suggested Rita.
"I would have to think about it." Lincoln replied.
"And if not maybe you could give another try at being goth." Lucy smiled, thinking about her brother as a goth.
"Already try it once. You forgot?" Lincoln reminded her.
"Oh yeah," Lucy said in realization.
Clyde: "It's a real pleasure to watch a master at work."
Lincoln: "Eh, I've had a lot of practice."
"You are awesome as a big brother Lincoln." complimented Rusty.
"Not just to your younger siblings, but to all 10 of them." added Carol.
"Guess you would be an expert having so many." Ronnie Anne added.
"Oh, uh, thanks guys." Lincoln said modestly.
"I bet he would make a good husband and father too." joked Sid.
Lincoln and Ronnie Anne blushed while several girls giggled.
[From upstairs]
Lana: "GIVE IT!"
Lisa: "NO, YOU GIVE IT!"
Lincoln: "You ready to get some practice, too?"
Clyde: "Heck, yes!" [heads upstairs to the source of the feud] "Okay, Clyde. Confidence." [walks forward to the fight] "Um, hey guys. Do you think you could just-" [not getting their attention; steps forward and gets bitten] "AGH! That was my foot!" [regains confidence] "What seems to be the problem here?"
"So far so good." mused Paula.
[Lana and Lisa stop fighting]
Lana: "You? Where's Lincoln?"
Clyde: "I'm temporarily filling in for him and would be happy to help you settle your differences."
Lana: "Lisa stole my best rat, Bitey!"
Lisa: "Who's Bitey? This is Subject 57A."
"Lisa, what did we say about experimenting on the pets?" Lynn Sr. scolded.
"Sorry father." Lisa apologized.
[The rat leaps at Clyde who yelps in fright and stops him from attacking him.]
Clyde: "Uh, well, you both seem attached to it, and I want to be fair."
[At that moment, Lucy appears out of the vent and scares him, making him lose Bitey while Lana and Lisa resuming fighting.]
Lucy: "Hey, Clyde, I need advice. How do you know you've met your soulmate?"
Clyde: "Oh. Uh, wow. That's some serious stuff. How much time do you have?"
"I think you should've asked someone who was already in a relationship at the time like your parents or Lori." suggested Carlos.
"Good advice." nodded Lucy.
[Lola steps out of her room with a ribbon.]
Lola: "LINCOLN!" [notices Clyde] "CLYDE! Help me choreograph my ribbon dance!"
Clyde: "Hold on a sec, Lucy." [checking his notes] "Did Lincoln even go over ribbon dancing?"
"No we didn't." said Lincoln.
"And to be fair Lola, only Lincoln ever choreographed your ribbon dance. Clyde was never involved in helping your pageant career." added Lori.
"I know." sighed Lola.
[Lily comes out with her corn popper which has a hole in the dome.]
Lily: [whimpers] "Boo-boo!"
"Aw poor baby." Sid gushed.
"How did that even happen?" asked Laird.
"Well she was playing with a toy mallet earlier," said Polly.
Clyde: "Just another minute, Lucy. Hang on, Lola." [picks up the toy and drops the balls out of them.] "Whoops!"
[Lily starts crying]
"Oh dear." winced Frida.
Clyde: "No, no, no, no, no. Wait. It's all okay. Shh. Shh."
[Bitey then climbs up his pant leg, making him yelp again and trip over one of the popper's balls. The girls gather around Clyde and demand that they help him with their problems. Seeing no way out, he knows what he has to do. He takes off the cookie pack and tells the younger Loud sisters to...]
Clyde: "JUST TAKE THE COOKIES!" [tosses them]
"Can't say that's the first time that's happened in our house." said Luan.
"Yeah that did seem like the best option," said Liam.
"Ok, maybe have him try being a big brother using your sisters wasn't that good of an idea." Ronnie Anne said to Lincoln.
"Yeah, he wasn't ready for THAT level of sibling attention." nodded Stella.
"It's like trying a new game in hard mode from the start." Rusty commented.
"We know what is like." Howard and Harold shuddered.
"GIRLS! You were overbearing him!" shouted Rita.
Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily winced in guilt.
"Sorry Clyde." they said in unison.
"That's ok." Clyde smiled.
"Sorry buddy I should've gone with you." Lincoln said in guilt.
"It's okay Linc, it's my own fault for getting cocky." Clyde replied.
[The girls and Bitey look on and see the cookies flying through the air and go after them. The minute Clyde's free, Clyde runs downstairs and for the door.]
Lincoln: "Clyde! What happened?"
[Clyde opens the door only to run into his dream girl.]
Clyde: "L-L-L-L-Lori?" [gets a nosebleed and passes out as Lincoln holds him.]
Lori: "Whatever." [walks away inside]
"Caring person of the year." Ronnie Anne deadpanned.
[Back in Lincoln's room, Clyde comes to his senses.]
Lincoln: "Clyde! Talk to me, buddy. What happened back there?"
Clyde: [sighs] "I failed at the 3 C's."
Lincoln: "What? How is that possible? You're the most caring person I know. And you make great cookies."
"He is right, you are a caring person Clyde." smiled Luna.
"And your cookies are awesome." Lynn added.
Clyde smiled at the praise.
Clyde: "It's the confidence I'm struggling with." [panicking] "What if I give bad crush advice, and my future sibling gets their heart broken? Or what if I can't choreograph a ribbon dance, and they drop out of school and start holding up convenience stores? I'm going to be a terrible big brother!"
Lincoln: [worried; caring] "CLYDE! [shakes Clyde] You're spiraling! You can do this. Just get out there and try again."
Clyde: "I can't, Lincoln! I don't have the confidence you do. And I never will."
Everyone gave Clyde sympathetic looks.
"Hey don't be so hard on yourself Clyde, all older siblings go through this." said Bobby. "I know I was nervous after Ronnie Anne was born."
"Same with CJ." said Carlota. "And he felt the same with Carl. And even he felt nervous with Carlitos."
"I know I was worried before Adelaide was born," said Sid.
"Same with Simon," said Sam.
"And me with Cassy and Connor." added Carol.
"I know I wasn't a confident camper before Rocky was born," said Rusty.
"Same. I was more nervous than a cow on its first milking day when my sister was born." said Liam.
"I know I felt the same with some of my younger siblings." added Mr. Grouse.
"And every single one of us felt the same when our siblings were born, even me." said Lori.
"But we all had people helping us learn to be great big siblings." said Leni.
"Just like how Lincoln is helping you." added Albert.
"And we know that you will always be a great person to a younger one. And that's the truth." added Lincoln.
Clyde grinned.
Lincoln: [caring] "It's okay, buddy. How about we just forget the whole training thing and play some video games?"
Clyde: "That sounds great."
Lincoln: "I'll just go grab us some snacks." [leaves]
[Later, while Clyde is playing, Lisa comes in.]
Lisa: "Lincoln?"
Clyde: [startled] "AAH! SISTER!" [calmly] "I mean, hi, Lisa."
"He used to be like that when he first met my family." said Lincoln. "But after a few weeks, he got used to them."
"Same applies to the rest of us that are friends with you and your family." added Stella.
Lisa: "I require assistance securing my shoestrings."
Clyde: "Aren't you a certified genius?"
Lisa: "Yes. Which is why there is no room in my brain for such trivialities."
[Clyde ties her shoe]
Lisa: "Thanks, Clyde. You're a lifesaver." [leaves]
"Aw, that was sweet." smiled Becky.
"Tied shoelaces are important." nodded Arturo.
[Lucy appears right behind Clyde.]
Lucy: "Where's Lincoln?"
Clyde: "YAH! I mean, you might wanna try the kitchen."
Everyone yelped.
"How did you even get in there?!" exclaimed Hector. "I didn't even see you go through the door!"
"Air vent." said Lucy.
"Like John McClane before you." smirked Dana.
Lucy: "That's a long walk. I need a rhyme for... Lori."
Clyde: "Really? Well, I've got about a hundred! Story, glory, Montessori..." [writing all of them down much later] "... and inventory. Now, those are just the ones in English."
Everyone stared.
"I should be creeped out, but the fact that my name rhymes with so many words is actually pretty cool." said Lori.
"You can say that again Babe." nodded Bobby.
Lucy: "Thanks, Clyde. You're a lifesaver."
[As she leaves, Lola comes driving by in her princess car.]
Lola: "Where's Lincoln? I need him to show me how to buckle my seat belt."
Clyde: "Oh. Well, that's simple enough. Why don't I show you? Just insert the metal fitting into the buckle and pull tightly across your waist. To release, simply press the center button."
Lola: [buckles up] "Oh. I never could have figured that out." [hugs Clyde who smiles confidently] "You're a lifesaver, Clydey." [drives off]
"Aww that was so cute!" gushed Carol.
"Seatbelts save lives. Buckle up every time." nodded Lynn Sr.
"Thanks Baymax." joked Luan, making everybody laugh.
[Lily crawls in with a storybook.]
Clyde: "You... you want me to read to you?"
[Lily nods]
"AWW!" everybody gushed.
"That is literally so cute!" Lori cooed.
"It's so sweet!" Frida sobbed.
[Clyde sits down and reads with Lily; later]
Clyde: "And "Z" is for "Zucchini". The end."
[Lily laughs and claps. Clyde smiles feeling confident now and heads to the kitchen.]
Clyde: "Hey, Lincoln! Guess what? I think I have the missing C now!" [notices Lincoln's not there] "Lincoln?"
[From outside]
Lola: "Okay, I did the damsel in distress act. Now where's my 5 bucks?"
[It is shown that Lincoln is paying his sisters for pretending to need Clyde's help.]
Lucy: "Yeah, pay up."
Lisa: "I should be doubly compensated for having to act like such an ignoramus."
Everyone was surprised.
"Um, what's happening right now?" asked Mollie.
"I can explain." sighed Lincoln. "After what happened in the hall I told them what was going on and asked them for help but they said no so I told them I'd give them 5$ each if they did."
Everyone glared at Lucy, Lola, and Lisa.
"So that's what you were so nervous about." Ronnie Anne muttered.
"GIRLS! Lincoln was trying to help Clyde and you couldn't just help him with that?!" Rita scolded.
That made them wince.
"Y'know, it's kinda like what I said back in 'The Loudest Yard'." said Clyde. "You know, how the older sisters treat Lincoln and how it was making the younger ones think they can do the same."
Clyde: [lividly] "YOU STAGED THAT WHOLE THING?!"
Lincoln: "Clyde! I can explain! I was just trying to boost your confidence!"
[Clyde approaches Lincoln and angrily gives him Lily.]
Clyde: "I think I should go." [leaves in a huff]
"Clyde I know you were angry, but Lincoln was in the right here. You were losing it with all of them at the same time so trying one by one really was helping." Harold said to his son.
"Yeah you're right." Clyde sighed. "I just felt upset feeling like I was used."
"Hey it's understandable buddy." Lincoln said.
Lincoln: "Clyde, wait!"
[Lily grabs her payment.]
Everybody gasped.
"You too Lily?!" Rita asked angrily.
Lily smiled and laughed nervously.
"When we get home, you 4 are going to pay Lincoln back every cent you took from him that day, understand?" Rita said firmly.
"Yes Mom/Mother/Mommy." Lucy, Lola, Lisa, and Lily said in guilt and shame.
[Clyde is making his way home when all of a sudden...]
Lana: [up in a tree] "CLYDE! HELP! I CAN'T GET DOWN!"
[Her rat Bitey is up there, too.]
Everyone gasped.
"Lana, what were you doing up there?!" Lynn Sr. exclaimed.
"Bitey and I were playing around and the next thing we knew we were up that tree." Lana replied.
Clyde: [disbelieving] "You can save the act, Lana. I know Lincoln's paying you to do this."
Lana: "What are you talking about? Bitey and I are really stuck, and I think he's afraid of heights."
[Clyde starts to show concern.]
Lana: "And... maybe I am, too." [clings to the tree in fear.]
"Oh no Lana." Sam said softly.
"So wait, Lincoln didn't pay you liek the rest?" asked Roger.
"No, I was too busy with Bitey to know what was going on." Lana replied.
Clyde: "It's okay, Lana. Don't be scared. I'll rescue you!"
"You got this McBride!" Lynn said encouragingly.
[Clyde has gotten Lana and Bitey out of the tree and is bringing them down a ladder.]
Clyde: "You guys doing okay?"
[Lana nods still terrified.]
Clyde: "I know what it's like. One time, I got stuck on a diving board. And a step stool."
"How did the second one even happen?" asked Ronnie Anne.
"I was 3!" Clyde said defensively.
[They make it down to the ground.]
Lana: "YAY!"
Clyde: [gives her a cookie] "Here. You earned it."
Lana: "I don't know what I would have done without you, Clyde." [gives half her cookie to Bitey and hugs Clyde] "Oh, you're a real life saver!" [runs off and waves to him as he waves back]
Everyone cheered for Clyde's bravery. Lana walked over and hugged Clyde.
"Thanks again for saving us that day Clyde." Lana said thankfully. "You were my hero that day. Bitey's too."
Lana then kissed Clyde on the cheek, malign everyone gush.
"Of course Lana. Anytime." Clyde smiled as he hugged the Loud family mechanic back.
Lincoln: [arriving just in time] "Clyde! I thought you left. Look, I owe you an apology."
Clyde: "It's okay, Lincoln. I finally got my confidence. For real this time. I gotta go tell my dads I'm ready to be a big brother!" [heads home]
Lincoln: [Impressed with his friend's breakthrough] "Good luck, buddy. You're gonna do great."
"From what we've seen, you have big brother material Clyde." Lori said proudly.
"Thanks Lori." smiled Clyde.
[off in the distance]
Lola: "Lisa, move your big butt!"
Lisa: "Move your own oversized posterior!"
Lincoln: [To the viewers] "Ah, a big brother's work is never done."
"Same for big sisters." added Luna.
[That night, at Clyde's house during dessert.]
Harold: "Clyde, honey, we have something to tell you."
Clyde: [overjoyed] "I already know what it is! We're having a baby, and I'm gonna be a big brother! And it's gonna be great, 'cause Lincoln taught me the three C's, and I can't wait to start baking cookies, and-"
Harold: "Clyde, you're spiraling."
Howard: "And did you say "baby"?"
Clyde: "Yeah. I saw the bottles, and the clothes, and I heard you guys talking."
[Howard and Harold look at each other awkwardly.]
Harold: "I'm afraid there's been a bit of a mix-up. Your dad and I haven't been preparing for a baby."
Those who didn't know were shocked.
"Wait, what?" exclaimed the Casagrandes.
"So Clyde doesn't have a little brother or sister?" asked Adelaide.
"Then what were they preparing for?" asked Carol.
[Clyde looks on devastated to hear that.]
Howard: "We've been preparing for..." [picks something up] "... A KITTEN! Meet Cleopawtra's sister, Nepurrtiti. We finally got to bring her home from the shelter today."
[Nepurrtiti gets up in Clyde's arm and nuzzles against him.]
"Aww!" everyone, especially cat lovers gushed.
"That is still so cute!" cooed Leni.
"But wait, what were the baby bottles and baby clothes for?" asked Principal Huggins.
"From what our mom told us, those are for any pets that come home right from the shelter." said Sid. "She is an animal expert."
"Yeah, some newborn animals have to start off with that stuff before they can eat solid foods." added Adelaide.
"That makes sense." said Luna.
"But the clothes?" asked Chunk.
"There's nothing wrong with dressing up your pet, especially during the cold weather." said Howard.
"And it's cute!" added Leni.
Charles, Cliff, Walt, Geo, and Lalo rolled their eyes.
Clyde: "Wow. She's perfect. And just so you guys know, if you ever do decide to have another human child, I'm totally ready for it."
"And you always will be Clyde." said Luan, making Clyde smile.
[Harold and Howard look on confused, but then smile. Sometime later, Cleopawtra and Nepurrtiti are nuzzling together and Clyde's dads are leaving the house.]
Howard: "We'll be back in an hour. You okay keeping an eye on the kitties?"
Clyde: [nods] "I've got the three C's: Caring, Confidence, and Cat treats."
[The cats attack him and get into the cat treats.]
Clyde: "Whoops. Guess I should have spelled that."
"Huh, who knew cats could understand english." said Dante.
"Well that was quite the episode." said Mrs. Johnson. "But very sweet too."
"Did anyone get deja vu from the tie episode?" asked Zach. Almost everyone raised their hands.
Rita turned to the McBride parents. "We know you two were only talking about a kitten, but have you ever thought about adopting another kid?"
"Well we have thought of it before, but we never decided to go through with it." admitted Howard.
"Still there is a chance we might decide to adopt another kid. We haven't ruled out the option, but we would talk things over with Clyde before we did anything." added Harold.
"You know Clyde, I know I've said this before, but, I'm glad to have you as both a friend, and a brother." Lincoln said with a smile.
"Same here Linc, same here." Clyde replied with a smile as well.
Lincoln and Clyde bro hugged.
"Hey hey, can I get in this bro hug too?" Bobby asked.
"Sure thing, big brother!" Lincoln joked.
The three boys bro hugged, making everyone smile. As they did, Albert then turned to Rita and Lynn Sr.
"Rita, Lynn, I know it was subtle, but I really think that you shouldn't let Lisa use anything nuclear related." he said firmly.
"He's right." said Carlos. "Lisa may be a highly intelligent person, but nuclear materials can't be handled by just any person, super smart or not."
"Indeed. You have to be highly trained to use them properly." said Arturo.
"Not to mention that it is incredibly dangerous to have them in the same room as a baby, especially if said baby is her roommate." Maria added sternly.
"I guess you're right." sighed Rita. "I'm sorry Lisa, but when we get back we're gonna have to get rid of anything nuclear in your lab."
"Understandable mother unit." Lisa sighed.
"To cheer you guys up, I decided to bring in some more guests." came Joe's voice.
At that moment, Clyde felt two things pounce on him. When he saw who they were, he was overjoyed.
"Cleopawtra! Nepurrtiti!" he said happily.
Said cats meowed with smiles on their faces. They then tarded a paw-shake with Cliff.
"Our babies!" Howard and Harold said happily as they nuzzled their cats.
"Well hello McBride cats." greeted Sid.
Luan then felt something pounce on her. She looked to see, "Gary!"
And it was indeed Luan's pet rabbit. He smiled when Luan petted him.
Lana and Hops felt themselves punched by three things. Lana was overjoyed when she saw, "Izzy! Bitey! El Diablo!"
Lana wrapped her snake, lizard, and rat in a hug, which Hops joined.
"Lots of pets joining us." mused Lincoln as those who never met Cleopawtra, Nepurrtiti, Gary, El Diablo, Izzy, and Bitey greeted them, At first the McBride cats wer nervous, but they soon grew to liking those they were unfamiliar with.
"Just figured that some more pets might be able to lighten the mood." said Joe before his tone changed. "Up next, we're seeing what many fans consider to be the second worst, sometimes, the worst, Loud House episode of all."
Everyone tarded nervous glances.
"Well… I guess we'd better see it." said Lincoln.
No one said a word as they faced the screen again.
To be continued…
Done it again! And now more pets have joined the audience: Cleopawtrta, Nepurrtiti, El Diablo, Izzy, Bitey, and Gary.
