It felt idiotic, considering Harry's situation, that Cedric felt such anxiety at the thought of Hermione Granger meeting his parents.
It should be on his lowest concerns considering a homicidal wizard was after a friend of his. But nonetheless, he feels his heartbeat quickly as she stumbles off of the Night Bus. Hair plaited back, looking a touch green underneath the tan that would fade in the coming Winter months. She beamed. And Cedric, despite being next to his mum and dad, rushed forward to help her off the bus. Maybe let his hand linger on his waist before he kissed her swiftly on the cheek.
"Hello Cedric," her voice was soft and warm, her brown eyes shining.
"Hello Hermione," he responded, "How was your flight?"
"Less turbulent than this bus," she responded, laughing slightly as she allowed him to take her trunk, "You sure it's alright for me to be staying with you?"
"You're one of Harry's friends. Be safer for you to be on the magic side of things. Your parents are extending their trip anyway."
"I just really wanted to see Harry. I've been so worried-"
"I'm alright-"
With one last squeeze, a kiss on his cheek, Hermione flung herself at Harry.
Cedric grinned at his befuddled face.
