May 2nd...Pansy despised the date. Every damn year it came around, and she was reminded of her selfishness. In her fear, she spoke the words, "Well, what are you waiting for? Somebody grab him!" She was a bloody blind and ignorant fool! Pansy had kept an eye on Harry Potter over the years. He'd married the Weasley girl, Ginny. They had a son and then she'd left them. Chose a Quidditch career over being a wife and mother. Guess she wasn't as perfect as everyone thought.

The five-year anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts and the end of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters terror was today and Pansy was actually going to go. Draco had gone last year after much prodding from Blaise and Theo. They'd gone every year with no issue. Of course, Draco didn't have it so easy. Harry had missed it because of his wife leaving him, and he was the only one in The Golden Trio that was civil to him at that time. In Hermione Granger's case, she hadn't really seen the man since his trial, but Ron Weasley took any chance he could to remind everyone of Draco's role in the death of Albus Dumbledore.

At last year's ceremony, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger were fresh off a break-up, so they were in shitty moods. Weasley spotted Draco in the crowd and attacked him as the ceremony ended. Granger broke up the fight and sided with Draco to everyone's surprise. That only caused more of a scene later during the feast honoring the fallen when Weasley drank too much and tried picking a fight with Granger. "Are you fucking him? Is that why you broke up with me? You fucking a Death Eater, you slut!" Draco punched him, knocking Weasley out and left a stunned Hermione Granger staring after him.

The following day, Draco was in his office at Malfoy's Potion Emporium when one of his employees knocked and announced that Hermione Granger was there to see him. She thanked him for defending her honor the night before and asked him to dinner. Then that was that. They'd been together ever since. They fell fast in love. Draco introduced her to all of his friends, and to everyone's great surprise, Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy welcomed her with open arms after profusely apologizing for their roles in the war and her torture in their home.

Pansy checked herself in the mirror then apparated to Hogsmead Village to meet Draco and Hermione before heading to Hogwarts. As she looked around, she spotted Draco's shiny pale blonde hair. As she approached, she saw Hermione standing next to him and, "What the fuck? Where did you get a kid?" She couldn't help the words tumbling out.

Draco laughed but Hermione scolded her in true Granger fashion, "Honestly Pansy! Your language!" Pansy apologized and gave her friend a quick hug. "Pansy? This young man is Jaime. Say hello to Pansy, Jaime." The little boy looked up and Pansy's heart jumped. Of course it was Potter's son. His dark hair and emerald green eyes matched that of his father, but his pale skin and smattering of freckles were all Ginny Weasley.

"Hello, Miss. It's nice to meet you." The toddler put his hand out as if to shake it. Pansy stared for a moment before taking the boy's hand and shaking it with a bright smile at the endearing child.

"Well, aren't you just a little gentleman. I am very happy to meet you, Jaime." She looked over at Hermione and asked, "Where's his father?" Hermione explained that he had popped over to the Three Broomsticks to bring all of their bags to their room. "Why is he staying here? I thought he lived at that townhouse over in Islington?" She mentally slapped her forehead. Why would she admit that she knew where he lived?

Of course, it wasn't missed by the Gryffindor by the look she gave Pansy, "He does, but the house is being gutted and totally remodeled, so they are staying there for a few weeks. He was too stubborn to stay with me or Draco and too proud to ask Molly and Arthur. Oh! Here he comes. Be nice."

Pansy scoffed at Hermione. "I am always nice, Granger." Pansy blushed when Harry joined them. She hadn't seen him much. Sure, she watched him from afar, and one time she actually made it out to drinks with Draco and Hermione and he'd shown up for a drink before leaving to pick up his son from his ex-wife's parents' house. She'd only said hello and goodnight to him. Truth be told, Harry Potter intimidated the Hell out of Pansy Parkinson.

"Thanks, Mione. Oh, um, hello." Harry said as he noticed the dark haired beauty standing next to his son and his best friend. "You look very nice, Pansy. I never knew you came to this thing." Harry, of course, meant the Hogwarts Celebration of the Fallen. He hated the name. It was just a reminder of all of the people that died because Voldemort wanted him dead.

"Um, thanks, Potter. I, um, well, that is to say, I don't...um, this is my first time attending." Pansy could feel herself flushing. 'Oh, Salazar's bloody balls! Real smooth, Parkinson!' she thought to herself. Harry nodded at her then turned to his son.

"Jaime? Were you a good boy for Auntie Mione?" Harry asked his son as he took his hand and started them on their walk to the castle.

"I was good, daddy. Wasn't I Miss Pansy? Miss Pansy said I was a gentleman." Jaime smiled sweetly at Pansy making her heart melt. "She's very pretty, daddy. Don't you think?" She heard him whisper quite loudly causing her to blush.

Harry smiled at his son then looked over his shoulder at a very red Pansy Parkinson and whispered just as loudly, "Yes, bud, she is very pretty." His ears turned red, and Pansy saw Draco nudge Hermione. The two shared a look and then smiled and walked ahead leaving Pansy to walk with Harry and his son.

"So, what do you do nowadays, Pansy? I thought I heard Hermione mention you did something in design." Pansy couldn't believe he was talking to her with such ease. Did he forget the way she was in school and during the Battle of Hogwarts? She suddenly remembered her manners and answered his inquiry.

"Yes, I am a clothing designer. Madam Malkin was my mentor and I did my apprenticeship with her. I actually will be taking over in a few days when she retires. She made me a great deal that I would have been a fool to not take. I get the shop, but she wants the name to stay. I don't mind though. It's a well-known name and the clientele would probably be put off if I changed it to my name. You know, with who my father was. Not the best man. Even if he is dead, the things he did, well, I still carry it with me." Harry looked at her in understanding and nodded.

Suddenly, Jaime reach over and took her hand. "Don't be sad, Miss Pansy. Dad, tell her one of your silly jokes." He turned from his father and looked up at Pansy. "Daddy tells the silliest jokes. You're going to love it!" The boy giggled causing Pansy to smile at him then up at Harry.

"Okay, here it goes. Why did the banana go to the Healer?" Pansy looked at the man and said, "I don't know. Why?" Then Jaime started giggling. "Because," Harry looked at her and smiled, "He wasn't peeling well!"

After their laughing subsided, Pansy clutched her side, "Wow! That was bad!" He told a few other bad dad jokes that had his son and Pansy giggling. Harry watched her interact with his son. Pansy was a natural. He remembered her being stuck-up at school, but she wasn't a kid anymore. Oh no, she sure wasn't. Pansy Parkinson was a woman; a beautiful, sweet woman that he wanted to get to know.

The ceremony went as expected. Harry, Ron, and Hermione stood awkwardly for photos after. A drunk Ron tried picking a fight with Draco, but his brother George stunned him then got him out of the castle and back home before he embarrassed himself and his family.

Pansy sat at the table with Hermione, Draco, Blaise, Luna, and Theo. She noticed two empty spots and wondered if Harry and Jaime would be joining them. At the moment, the man on her mind was talking to the Headmistress. She watched his son tug his father's dress robes and say something, pointing towards the table Pansy sat at. He smiled over at her then said something to Jaime. The little boy then ran to Pansy.

"Hi, Miss Pansy! Daddy says I can sit next to you." Pansy's stomach fluttered. Potter trusted her with his son and that made her feel amazing. The dance floor opened up and Draco took Hermione's hand in his leading her in a slow dance.

"Fabulous. Could I interest you in a dance, Jaime? I never have anyone to dance with, and I so love to dance." The boy blushed then nodded his head, holding out his hand once he stood up. Pansy smiled sweetly, how could she not. The boy looked so much like his father.

Harry finished talking with Headmistress McGonagall and walked to his table. He saw Blaise and Theo doing their normal game of trying to get Luna's attention. Both men fancied his quirky friend and it gave him much amusement. Then he watched as his son stood and held his hand out to Pansy Parkinson. His heart practically leapt from his chest.

He almost wanted to cry. Jaime didn't really say it often, but he wanted a mom; well, a proper mom. Ginny had left before he was even walking and only saw him for two weeks in the summer while she was in break from training and the Quidditch season. Watching his son and Pansy interact just made Harry want the witch even more.

He sat down, saying hello to Luna, Blaise, and Theo, then turned in his seat to watch the dance floor. Draco and Hermione had made their way next to Pansy and Jaime and were laughing at something the witch said. Jaime was smiling and laughing as well which made Harry want to kiss the woman making his son feel so at ease.

"Harry? Why don't you ask to cut in? I'd be happy to keep an eye on Jaime for you." He heard Luna's breathy voice ask as his eyes stayed trained on Pansy and his little boy. He nodded dumbly and got up, walking with purpose.

"Excuse me, young man, but could I dance with the lady?" Harry said with a smirk. Pansy felt her stomach flip. 'Is he... flirting with me?' she thought. Jaime smiled then trotted back to the table, turning to watch his dad and the nice lady that he was quickly becoming attached to.

"He likes you." Harry said, "Jaime. He never really trust people so easily. His mum, well, I don't like to say bad things about her, but she never wanted to be a mum. She didn't want her mother's life for herself. But me? Well, growing up without family made me want one of my own someday. Sure, it happened faster than I thought, but." He shrugged and Pansy nodded in understanding.

"I don't want to seem too forward, but would you want to maybe go to dinner with me tomorrow night?" Pansy winced as she said it. "Sorry, you don't need to say yes. I'm an idiot. Of course, you wouldn't want to be seen with the daughter of a disgraced Death Eater." She put her head down and started to pull away, but Harry held her tighter.

"Don't. Don't leave." he almost sounded desperate. "I would be honored to have dinner with you." He used his knuckle to tilt her chin back up to meet her eyes. Her eyes were like sapphires. "You are not your father, Pansy. I would never judge you for that. I know far too well what it is like to be judged." Pansy felt her eyes well up with tears.

This man, he was just too good to be true. Ginny Weasley is a moron. Harry barked out a laugh. "Oh bollocks, did I say that out loud?" Pansy turned beet red and covered her face in embarrassment.

"Yes, but I don't mind. Look at me." Pansy looked into the emerald green eyes of Harry Potter and instantly relaxed. "Can I tell you something?" She nodded, "I haven't been with a woman since she left, and it is taking every ounce of strength for me not to snog you senseless right now." He couldn't believe he'd said it, but it was true. He wanted her...bad!

"Well, honestly, if we were alone right now, I'd let you do more than just snog me, Harry." Pansy whispered in his ear making his cock twitch. "But, I am a patient woman. I've waited years to have the courage to tell you that." She licked his ear lobe as she leaned back away from her whispered confession. He pulled her closer, so she could feel the way he was reacting to her.

A playful smile on her face, she whispered again. "I could always get a room at the Three Broomsticks if you want to come over after Jaime falls asleep." Harry blushed then.

"Or he could always have a sleepover at his Auntie Mione's house." He conspired with a wink. Oh, the things she would do to him. They left the dance floor, both pink in the cheeks much to the delight of their waiting friends.

That night, Theo finally got Luna to dance with him, but Blaise got her to agree to dinner on Wednesday night much to the other Wizards dismay. Jaime decided, with a little prodding from his dad, to have a sleepover with his Auntie Mione and Draco with the promise of Fortescue's the next day with his dad Harry gave his son a hug before he headed to the Floo, at the last moment, Jaime turned and ran towards his dad again, but he didn't run to Harry. He moved at the last second and hugged Pansy around her waist. "Goodnight, Miss Pansy! I hope I see you again." He smiled then waved as he ran back to jump into Draco's arms.
