CHAPTER 33
Luffy eating as fast as she could without care. Shanks sitting at her front looking at her excitedly. Makino beside him looking at Shanks and shake her head. Luffy keep eating and Makino caught her attention. She look at Makino with her owlish eyes while chewing the meat in her mouth. She stop making Shanks and Makino wonder.
"You smell different."Luffy said to Makino making Shanks puzzle.
"Excuse me? Different? Maybe the new soap I use this morning." Makino answered.
Luffy stand up and walk to Makino side. She sniff her a little making Kid growl beside Shanks. Luffy stop sniffing and look at Makino.
"You smell nice like my mom." Luffy said making other blinking in confusion.
"Isn't she smell nice like Nami Robin?" Brook asked.
"No. Nami and Robin have the same scent but different in any way. But Makino smell like mom." Luffy explained. Law seem to understand what Luffy try to explain. He walk toward Luffy and Makino.
"Is it alright if I get it examine? I have the ability to treat people wound and injured also I can scan with it. I have a little hunch from what Luffy say." Law asked making Makino look at Shanks and Kid. Shanks nod. Makino agreed.
Law begin to scan her using his ability. While scanning Law found something making him turned toward Luffy with shocked.
"How in the world you know?" Law said after finish his scanning.
"Instinct. But Makino really smell nice like my mom." Luffy answered.
"Shanks, Kid have you smell any different with Makino scent?" Law turned toward Shanks and Kid.
"No. She had the same scent." Shanks replied.
"Same goes for me." Kid answered.
"How about others?" Law look at all the beast and half born there. All of them shake their head and their answer is the same as Shanks.
"What is the meaning of this?" Kid stand up and growl at Law. Law sighed.
"Can you explain?" Makino said.
"First of all you are healthy as always. Second of all how about adding a little one to your family?" Law explained earning a puzzle from Shanks and Kid while Makino widen her eyes.
"Are you sure?" Makino said disbelief.
"Yes. I'm 100% sure. If you still didn't believe me you can ask other doctor about it." Law replied. Makino cover her mouth. A little tear shown at the edge of her eyes.
"What happen?" Shanks began to panic.
"What have you done?" Kid pull Law front shirt and growl at him.
"Nothing. Just telling her the truth." Law answered.
"What truth?" Kid still mad.
"About your soon to be niece or nephew." Law said making all in the room except Luffy lost their word. Kid definitely shocked.
"I'm going to Koala house first, I come back later. I need to help Makino a little bit about the Festival tomorrow." Sab said to her twin while she still in her dress and the burn mark being cover with the make up.
"Are you ready Sabbie?" Karasu asked.
"Yup. I need to go to Koala House first and I get change there before we go to the Palace." Sab smile.
"You know Koala got to burst out after this?" Karasu sighed.
"I know but she won't mad at me for so long after I get this to her. She totally love it." Sab laughed and show the dress she bought to Karasu. Karasu shake his head.
"Don't come to me if she burst out." Karasu said.
Sab and Karasu walking out from the Inn they stay and they meet Marco, Thatch and Izo walking pass by.
"Marco!" Sab greeted.
"Sab yoi. How are you?" Marco said with a smile on his face.
"Is Ann here too?" Thatch asked while looking at Karasu. A little smile then show on Sab face. Karasu groaned. He knew what Sab thinking of.
"Seriously, Sabbie?" Karasu interrupted.
"Hush, Blacky. She need to relax sometime. She always thinking too much. The Festival is tomorrow. We can enjoy whenever we can." Sab said beaming with smile.
"You really like to make her angry. Playing mix maker now?" Karasu sweat drop.
"Don't need to, after all Marco is her mate." Sab replied.
"Oh Marco ~ Ann on the second floor at room 7. Get her out from there and enjoy the evening." Sab said making Izo smirked.
"That's a brilliant idea you have. Go now Marco. I got a date with Thatch somewhere else. Run along now." Izo added.
"We have a date?" Thatch puzzled.
"Yes you are!" Sab and Izo answered with unison. Karasu sweat drop.
"Go on now. Don't let her wait." Sab hush Marco in and the four of them go to the other direction. Izo and Sab high-five.
"Annie gonna blow up." Karasu said to Sab. Sab just laughed. Both of them excuse themselves to go to Koala House leaving Izo and Thatch at the front of tavern.
A knock from the door making Ann wonder. Sab just left a few minute ago. She walk to the front door and open it. She never expected she meet Marco standing in front of the door.
"Ann yoi..." Marco greeted.
"Marco? What you doing here? How did you know I'm here?" Ann asked.
"Sab told me you here yoi." Marco answered.
"Why that psycho! She gonna pay for this." Ann said making Marco sweat drop.
"Well don't blame her. She just want you to enjoy this evening. Want to go get something to eat? It's on me. You can show me around yoi." Marco said. Ann look at him for awhile before answered.
"Fine. I go get change first." Ann pouted and agreed. Marco smile and letting Ann get ready.
The two of them walk leisurely until they reach the fountain of wolf. They just have some small talk and mostly about food. Marco find it interesting when Ann tell him their story when she and her sister still young. She seem to relax a little making Marco smile with satisfy. They walk until they reach a bench hidden out from the sight at the fountain. They scenery there is breath taking. They sit together and enjoy the view. They been interrupt by Makino that also walking there with Sirius tag behind her.
"Marco, Ann am I interrupt both of you?" Makino asked.
"No. Have a sit." Marco let her sit beside Ann.
"What you doing here? You suppose to get some rest." Marco wondered.
"Are you sick Makino?" Ann worried. Unfamiliar scent making Ann sniff to Makino a little bit.
"You smell different from before. A nice smell like a mother scent." Ann said while her eyes turn into slit making both Makino and Marco surprise.
"I'm just taking some fresh air from all of this. They all get too paranoid. Luckily Benn help me out." Makino sighed while Marco sweat drop.
"Paranoid about what?" Ann still confused.
"I'm having a baby." Makino answered.
"Congratulation! That's a big news. Ah, in our family tradition a lady in the family make wish for the baby. You are one of my family now. Can I give my wish? If you let me." Ann said. Makino smile.
"Sure." Makino answered.
Ann stand up. She take both Makino hand and she kneel down in front of Makino. Her eyes still slit making her aura more like the firebird. Marco feel amazed.
"This is my wish to you... A woman that soon to be a mother. A kiss to your hand as an honour for becoming a mother"
Ann kiss both Makino hand and she stand up. She sit at the right side of Makino and hug her.
"Let this hug be the flaming fire wing to protect both of you. I wish both of you well protect and healthy always. Love you both, Makino Queen of the Akagami Kingdom and her soon to be prince or princess."
Ann let go of her hug. A tear run down her cheeks. She wipe it with her fingers. A smile plaster on her face.
"For all the time you being through, thanks for let a new generation continue your legacy."
Makino sure she being blessed. Her eyes tears up when Ann make her wish. She feel happy and protected. She thanks her all over again. Marco amaze with what Ann done. He never knew Raftel people have this kind of tradition. He feel proud having Ann as a mate.
