Miku expected her to be taken to the front door in order to go to where Fuutarou had made a reservation, but much to her surprise, they went up a flight of stairs.

Miku:'We're going up now?"

Once they reached the top, she saw an assortment of tables where people were eating.

Miku:"Woah, I didn't know this was here."

Fuutarou:"Yeah, pretty great. But it's not here."

Miku:"Ehh?"

She was then taken to another set of stairs taking her higher. This time it was only one room. On one side, a part of the aquarium, on another, a giant red curtain covering most of the wall. And at the center was a lone table.

Miku:"Wait, you mean…"

Fuutarou went ahead and moved one of the seats. He signaled for her to sit down. Once she did, he sat down on the other side.

Miku:"I wasn't expecting something so grand."

Fuutarou puffed up his chest in smugness leading to a quick giggle.

Miku:"I never thought I would be in this situation."

Miku put her hands together to twiddle her thumbs.

Miku:"My boyfriend is so thoughtful. To think that I'm so happy simply because I'm in your heart."

Fuutarou:"You're really giddy about this."

Miku:"I see you're doing your best to show confidence in this situation."

Fuutarou:"If not now, then when can I show off that I am a man?"

Miku:"Fufu~"

The two ordered food of similar structure. They seemed extremely fancy.

Fuutarou:[Thank you for this discount! I'm barely paying and I still feel my wallet crying!]

The couple ate their food with no problem. Miku took note of some of the food she had just eaten before taking an interest in Fuutarou's.

Fuutarou:"You like what I ordered?"

Miku:"Yeah, I wonder what it tastes like."

Fuutarou:"Funny, I was just thinking the same about yours."

Miku looked down at her plate.

Miku:"Then...What do you say we find out?"

Miku put some food on her fork and offered it to Fuutarou.

Miku:"You do the same."

After some hesitation, Fuutarou put some on his fork as well. At the same time, the two bit down on each other's forks.

Fuutarou:"T-Tastes good."

Miku:"What an intriguing flavor."

As Fuutarou saw her eating, he blushed at the idea of an indirect kiss. Miku noticed this and smiled.

Miku:"Worried about the fork?"

Fuutarou:"N-No, it's just that...You know."

Miku:"Fufu~ We don't have to worry about indirect kisses. After all, just say the word and I'll give you the real thing."

Fuutarou:"N-No shame."

Miku:"If it means I can get more cute reactions from you, I'll push through my anxiety as much as I need to."

Fuutarou:"Don't think you can outblush me!"

Fuutarou's phone then started to ring. He was in the middle of a date, but he couldn't just ignore it.

Fuutarou:[Who the hell could be calling me?]

He saw it was from Raiha's number, but the message wouldn't be hers.

"So? Did you give her the flowers yet?"

Fuutarou:[This damn old man! But...That's right, the flowers are right under the table! I can't believe I almost forgot. Thank you, damn old man!]]

Miku:"Is there something wrong? If there's an emergency, then…"

Fuutarou:"I-It's only my dad wishing me luck. That guy has no sense of time, I swear."

Miku:"I see." [He suddenly got really nervous.]

Fuutarou:"Please excuse me."

Fuutarou quickly got up and signaled something to the staff. Once he came back, he was ready for the final part. An announcement came by, talking about the unforgettable evening everyone was sharing. As the announcement finished, it promised one last thing.

Miku:"What's this about?"

The curtain in front of the table slowly started to rise. Behind it was a full view of the city in all its glory, lighting up the night sky with an unbelievable assortment of colors.

Miku:"It's wonderful."

Taking advantage of her surprise, Fuutarou quickly took out the bouquet of flowers.

Fuutarou:"I-I want you to have this!"

Miku turned to face the flowers. She audibly gasped as she was handed the bouquet.

Miku:"A-Are you sure about this?"

Fuutarou simply nodded.

Miku:"...Thank you so much."

As Miku took the present, she couldn't help but show the biggest smile on her face.

Miku:"The aquarium, the restaurant, the view, the gift. You did all of this for me. It's so romantic."

She hugged the flowers as the red invasion of her face reached the critical stage and overtook her ears.

Miku:"I don't know how to thank you."

Fuutarou:"...I was going to say you didn't need to, buuuuut…"

Fuutarou looked away, but got a wave of resolve.

Fuutarou:"I'll take you up on that offer of the real thing."

He pointed to his lips, to which Miku grinned.

Miku:"What a villain, hehe. Very well, I'll devote myself to you...all night."

...

With their meal finished, the couple was now walking back in the well lit streets, with plenty of other couples around. Holding hands, they continued to talk.

Miku:"By the end of this week, we'll have graduated. It's a little sad."

Fuutarou:"Our last week of high school. Almost feels like it's been like this my whole life."

Miku:"But everything has to end eventually. You have your speech ready?"

Fuutarou:"As well as I could do. Ready for that?"

Miku:"It was a pain getting all of them ready, but it's gonna look great."

Fuutarou:"We'll make sure to leave our mark on that school."

Miku:"I'm getting excited. But for now…"

Miku leaned closer.

Miku:"I want to think about nothing but you."

Fuutarou:"Very well. I'll drop you off."

Miku:"You could always just sleep over. Return the favor for before."

Fuutarou:"...I wouldn't mind, actually."

The couple moved through the streets holding hands the entire way.

Fuutarou:[I wish this day never had to end…]
