Boyzilla: I'm a sneaky one. Yes and no, you're right in theory, but you're setting a bad example. Because Casko was still invoked in a very limited form (she has only one fox-tail) but it is because the Moon Cell Automaton can invoke the deities only in a degraded form. As for Sundiata Keïta, his degraded characteristics are the result of sabotage.
Author's note: In Fate/ Zero, Fate/ Stay Night, and Fate/ Apocrypha the idea that the Grail cannot solve the problems of humanity is at the center of the story. The Grail is just an amplifier. If you do not know how to save humanity, the Grail will only use its power to apply your own methods... hence the failure of Kiritsugu, an assassin (kill the humanity) or Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, a saint (force the evolution of humanity so that all men give up their body envelope... transforming them into ghosts condemned to wander until the end of time). I have long wondered what I would have done in the same situation. Finally, I found my answer...
Paradigm Shift
The Cyberworld was like a parallel world forming the "other side of the looking glass". Nevertheless, the notion of distance was absent and it is the most difficult thing for humans to understand. It was completely unintuitive for a human being.
Two computers belonging to the same company could be directly connected even if they were on different continents. On the contrary, two computers on the same street - but whose owners subscribed to different operators - could request a trip to a router hundreds of miles away.
The data... and the avatars of the individuals immersed in the Cyberworld traveled thus, their speed of travel dependent more on the quality of the cloud on the computer server, the number of simultaneous connections, and the quality of their own connection.
New York City's urban network was one of the best in the world... normal for a major financial center.
The avatars gathered in vast Reality Marbles generated by photonic computers like man's made "baby Moon Cell". The latter formed real virtual cities that were the reflection of the real city, there were vast spaces devoted to virtual reality's computer games, forums of different associations, but also online services of the most powerful cyber-corporations.
These different Reality marbles were brought together by what looked like translucent corridors forming an extraordinarily complex labyrinth... reflecting the connections between computers into the virtual world.
From one of these translucent corridors, cyberspace appeared as an ocean crossed by crystalline structures between which passed strange objects: reddish tubes, green crystalline cubes, wave-shaped objects, such as "fish" of this strange ocean... it was actually compressed data exchanged by servers.
Kadidia Falouma and her Lancer-class serving Sundiata Keïta faced Caster and Hakuno Kishinami.
A hand on the hip, her foxtail slowly beating the measure, Tamamo took a few steps towards Lance's Master... not without moving her hips. With her quivering fox ears and her mocking smile, the kitsune exaggerated her eroticism to such an extent that she was unintentionally amusing.
"All right, you proved to us that you're not trying to trap us. But you didn't set up this meeting for fun. So what do you want?"
As always Casko was very suspicious when a Servant or a Master showed his interest in his adorable Master... of course, it was normal. Hakuno was just too cuuuuuuuuuuuutie! But between admiration and theft... there was only one step! And Tamamo no Mae wouldn't let anyone steal her adorable husband, her cutie master's was hers, and no one else, she had seen Hakuno first!
Kadidia Falouma had a fragile smile:
"It's obvious, I want an alliance. Because of the dishonesty of the other participants, my emperor and I have almost no chance of winning this Grail's War."
Caster crossed her arms adopting a distrustful attitude:
"Yes, I understand, but why should we help you? We already have an alliance proposal from Rider and his Master."
"Rider is a devil without a word."
It was Sundiata, the emperor of Mali, who had just spoken. The little man had a deep voice, he spoke slowly, calmly, in a thoughtful manner.
As Hakuno turned to him, with a head tilt, Kadidia forgot to breathe:
"So... so Cutie!"
"Excuse-me" answered a troubled Hakuno...
But Kadidia blushed, suddenly aware of having spoken aloud, and lowered her gaze by muttering something incomprehensible.
Sundiata's reaction was less discernible, but he smiled slightly:
"Look what men like Rider's Master have caused. The nightmare this world has become! Because of their selfishness, their thirst for power, and their greed, this world is dying victim of overexploitation and an ecological catastrophe, a disaster from which they are the only ones to benefit. While the human population has been halved in a century, they think only of the power and the "chance" that this situation represents for them. The weakened states, the dying peoples are now unable to shake their tyranny. As a result, the multibillionaires, the CEO of the megacorporations, are now ready to kill each other until there remains only one of them... the master of the world."
Tamamo's eyes narrowed:
"Nice speech, but to sum up you want us to fight them!"
But the emperor of Mali shook his head:
"You now know who I am, you've read my story, you should have realized that I never attacked anyone. My only desire has always been to protect."
"You mean to protect your people, no doubt. You want revenge, right? So what's your target? White people, Europeans? Because they enslaved black people, colonized and plundered the African continent?"
But Sundiata shook his head again:
"I have always hated men who pointed out an individual to the crowd: 'Here is the one responsible for your misfortunes, take revenge!' Men who so excite the lowest instincts of man are worthless. Kadidia and I are not looking for culprits, we are looking for solutions. If the attic burns, what is the most urgent, extinguish the fire before the sorghum has completely burned or stoning the guilty? As for colonization and slavery, what would be the point of designating Whites as collectively guilty? Slavery and conquest have existed in Africa since the dawn of time. Attacking the neighboring tribe, killing, taking all that is valuable, and clapping in irons those who have been spared to lead them to a life of servitude has been for long the normal behavior of all the peoples on Earth. One can (one must!) be offended by this. But I find it profoundly unfair to see slavery as an act of the Whites against the Blacks. I was born long before Europeans came to Mali, nevertheless, I spent my life fighting slavery. (1)
The response of the Emperor of Mali had disoriented Caster. The magical fox-girl was a deeply selfish woman. She could understand the need to protect the people we loved, but for her, it necessarily meant to designate enemies to be avenged. But Sundiata did not believe in vengeance and punishment.
"You want to save everyone?"
It was Hakuno who had just spoken... it was the longest sentence she had uttered during this exchange. At first, her question seemed incredibly naive, yet she summed up what Kadidia Falouma and Sundiata Keïta wanted.
The emperor acquiesced:
"Yes, I want humanity to know peace."
This made Tamamo laugh, a mocking sound that had nothing pleasant:
"I never thought a sovereign could say something so boring and idealistic! Man is fundamentally evil and selfish! How do you intend to encourage men to live in peace? By lobotomizing them? By killing them to the last? Yes, they would be at peace and for eternity, the peace of the grave!"
"You are wrong," said Kadidia. "For 95% of their history, humans have lived in peace in what could be called 'democratic' institutions. Only after the emergence of agriculture and sedentarization did dictatorship and war appear. That's what archaeology teaches us. Man is the only animal capable of differentiating between evil and good... the more he prefers good in an innate way. Psychologists have created a simple test for infants. There were little playlets where two stuffed animals fought, one was 'nice', the other 'mean', the majority of the babies wanted the 'nice' stuffed animal. You don't believe me? Look at police statistics from any country in the world. You will see that the bulk of crime is the result of a small segment of the population. The vast majority of citizens demonstrate good citizenship and honesty."
Hakuno had a slight nod. This is something she readily believed in. During the Moon Cell Grail War, she was constantly helped. Starting with Tamamo who came to her rescue spontaneously, then Rin, Rani, Leo... while they were theoretically her enemies. In fact, most of the Masters she had fought were involved in the conflict for rather noble or neutral reasons. The only Master who participated for selfish reasons was Run Ru... a cannibal psychopath.
"Why do men do evil if they are good?"
Again, Hakuno's question sounds naive, but in fact, she focused on the most important issue.
Kadidia Falouma shrugged her shoulders:
"Because man continually receives bad examples. That said... 'good' and 'bad' are probably not the terms you would use if you want to understand. Contrary to what most people believe, man is no smarter than the chimpanzee or the orangutan. Young chimpanzees and human children have about the same result in most intelligence tests. The only tests where humans have achieved better results than chimpanzees are sociability tests... It is because humans help each other to succeed and share their knowledge that they have become the dominant species. Mutual aid is natural for man because it allows the group to survive and even prosper while selfishness is the exception... because selfishness harms the group."
"A bad example?" Hakuno made a head tilt and found herself immediately surrounded by the arms of Tamamo, purring... the effect was less devastating on Falouma, but she turned away with blushing:
"Uh... Well, as soon as man became sedentary... power was usurped by those who had the most land, and who were, therefore, the richest. So, by the people who were the most selfish. These are the origin of the myth that all men are evil and selfish. Because the selfish minority structured society thinking that all men were like them. School, company offices, prison? These are all systems designed to 'civilize' aggressive bullies! However, all sociological research shows that man is not meant to be locked up (2). It is because humans could not bear this cloistered environment that they become aggressive. And this is how we created the "little leaders" bullying their weak comrades. The classical school with its fixed schedules, its boring lessons, its system of grades and exams is the worst possible learning system, creating inequalities and school disorders, leading to social problems, anxiety... even serious mental problems. There is also evidence that long prison sentences create people unable to return to normal life...and pushes former prisoners into criminality rather than preventing it. On the contrary, prison programs based on dialogue and accompaniment of prisoners have a rate of recidivism less than half of the conventional system. Again, it's easy to prove. The U.S. has one of the toughest prison systems in the world. You can go to jail for reasons that in other countries would only be worth a fine. As a result, half of the world's prison population is in the USA. If this system were effective, American crime would have to be low, no? And in reality is quite the contrary, proof that it does not work. The last thing to understand is that this whole system is also trying to convince ordinary people that they are evil, selfish, stupid, and violent. Advertising uses jealousy as a selling point. Newspapers only talk about murders and attacks. Game shows tell viewers they're idiots. This is how the so-called natural violence and selfishness were artificially fabricated in man. (3)"
There was a short pause, then Sundiata Keita spoke again:
"We do not want to lobotomize man to suppress his violence. We want to change the society in which he lives... a society in which men are caged, trained, constantly opposed to each other and put in competition, belittled because it enriches the richest."
Hakuno Kishinami had listened with this somewhat frightening attention which was one of her most impressive features. She memorized every word, recorded, filed, and compared... as a computer program would. But the curious and inventive spirit that she expressed at the same time was of a disarming naivety.
She turned to Tamamo no Mae:
"Caster?"
" Goshujin-sama?"
Kitsune knew her Master better than anyone else. Even though she sometimes gave the impression of having difficulties with the simplest things or even being infantile, Tamamo had never met a person so determined to understand and progress. During the Moon Cell's Grail War, Hakuno had spent hours in the Seraph's labyrinth, tirelessly confronting the same Enemy_Programs, to memorize all their movements. It was her dear husband... Even though she already knew what decision her Master had made, Tamamo looked at Hakuno's pretty face taking an air of firmness:
"We'll help them," Hakuno asked.
Some Masters would have simply given the order to their Servant... not Hakuno. For Hakuno, Caster was not a "Servant" but a partner and a friend. Of course, Tamamo no Mae had her own opinion on humanity. Most humans were fools and if these fools were easy to manipulate, well, that was too bad for them and good for her. As a smart fox-girl and a master of Witchcraft's art, it was a golden opportunity for a dream-come-true life. In the past, she wouldn't have hesitated for a moment except... her definition of happiness had evolved. She could no longer imagine herself happy beside an unhappy Hakuno.
Casko sighed, shook her head, then smiled:
"Of course, Goshujin-sama."
As Hakuno responded to her smile, Tamamo's heart missed a beat... it took all her will to throw himself to the neck of her adorable Master.
Hundreds of miles away, Arkham was a dirty, dark city in New England. The buildings of "colonial" style were often older than the American Revolutionary War. The last world war had shaken the region. Some buildings were abandoned, tagged, the gardens were covered with rubbish. Around metal drums, homeless people held out their hands to fires that barely warmed them.
Dirty snow covered the streets and cars that crossed were rare.
And yet, a teenager was moving forward, pressing on. And everyone turned to her. It must be said that she was very beautiful. Although dressed in gabardine with a faux fur collar that seemed to come from a thrift store, she was walking with a sure step. Her eyes were of a magnificent violet and her long blond hair was gathered in a heavy mat that went down to her waist.
Jeanne d'Arc, the Ruler-class Servant of this Grail War, had separated from Hakuno and her Servant in search of Berserker. It was a personal matter that she absolutely had to deal with... After all, it was all her fault.
The memory of her first encounter with the man who was to become the Servant Berserker returned to her. The castle of Chinon, the residence of the Dauphin Charles de Valois... in a vast room, all the lords of France who still supported the son of the last legitimate king was gathered to receive the one already called La Pucelle. But on entering, Jeanne had not turned towards the man seated by the fireplace and dressed in the finest clothes. La Pucelle had kneeled before a small ugly man, with a nose like an eagle's beak and a yellowish complexion:
"My Lord!"
But La Pucelle had failed her terrestrial lord like her celestial's one. They said she was a saint... but Jeanne knew the truth. She was a sinner. She had abandoned the people she loved.
Worse, she had failed France and God.
It was said that she had saved France... that was false. The war had continued for 24 years after the Rouen pyre. Worse, her death had made people who had loved her and placed their faith in her sink into despair... indirectly, Jeanne was the cause of the perversion of Gilles de Rai and Berserker.
As she revived these sad thoughts, a quivering went through the universe... Ruler stopped. The Servants of this special class were endowed with great sensitivity to the state of the world. And at that very moment, she felt that something had been blocked for a long time had just started up again... a bit like a clock would have gotten back to tick, and tick away after remaining silent for decades.
This sensation brought tears of joy to her eyes. It was... so warm!
Something positive had just happened, a turning point in the Grail War and perhaps even in the history of humanity.
And the instinct of a Ruler-class Servant told her that Hakuno Kishinami and Tamamo no Mae were responsible.
Ruler smiles.
Since her first meeting with the young Master, Jeanne d'Arc saw her association with the cunning kitsune as a great opportunity, a true gift of God.
After all, if good people do good, wasn't that normal?
But what happens if people who are said to be "bad" start to act well? It does not matter that they do it for "selfish" reasons, only the result of their actions counts. And a "good" act done by someone "bad" can only have a positive effect, an effect all the more important as it comes from an unexpected direction.
Jeanne had always thought that evil was not natural, that it was a mistake that could be corrected.
With a renewed certainty, Ruler took a firm step forward. She still had to deal with her own mistakes...
"Code Cast: View_status!"
The young master in brown scholar uniform, black turtleneck, and black pantyhose stand for a moment, her arm stretched out, her eyes fixed on something she was alone to see, then she turned to the two Servants and the second Master waiting behind her.
Hakuno Kishinami pointed to a point in the translucent wall facing the door giving access to Assad Babil's computer, then the door itself:
"There is a surveillance program and the door is closed by an encrypted access."
Kadidia Falouma and Lancer exchanged a look:
"And you can get us through?"
It was Casko who answered with the pride of a peacock doing the wheel:
"Of course, admire the work. My Master is the Best Spiriton Hacker in the whole world!" (Capital letters were clearly heard).
Hakuno's reaction was amusing, she turned to the wall while blushing and raised her hand:
"Code Cast: Hack!"
An instant later, Hakuno lowered her hand:
"We can pass, the surveillance program won't notice us and I have the opening code."
Falouma was also a Spiritron Hacker, but she would never have managed to break the "front door" code of a supercomputer so easily. What she didn't know was that Hakuno's brain was actually home to an AI created by Moon Cell... used to break codes in the Moon Cell Automaton, she found the defenses of its man-made copies rather pathetic.
The inside of Assad Babil's computer looked like the public Cyberworld. There was a reception area with AIs were exchanging and interacting with user avatars. But Hakuno and her friends were not interested in this virtual space.
When they entered the virtual space, Hakuno had equipped herself with two Formal Wears. The first of them Seer's crystal ball was a crystal ball the size of a softball that radiates an ominous light.
Hakuno used it:
"Code cast: View_map."
Into the crystal ball appeared the internal network of Assad Babil's computer. The most secure archives were located in a part of the maze on their right. Thanks to the help of the map, Hakuno easily found the switches of the two firewalls protecting the most secure sector, the switches themselves notwithstanding her talent as a Hacker.
However, a red dot appeared in the corridor in front of them, an Enemy_program.
"Caster?"
"Right away, Goshujin-sama!"
Tamamo ran, arms extended back, then Hakuno used "Hack" to temporarily neutralize the Enemy_program Watchdog. The angular dog-like virtual creature with a jaw adorned with triangular teeth was suddenly immobilized, surrounded by yellowish flashes. Tamamo no Mae quickly hit him with a succession of karate chops, punches, forearms before finishing him with an overhead kick. The Watchdog -about as tough as a Cluster Horm from the First Chimeric Lunar Sea- was no match for the victorious Servant of the Moon Cell Grail War.
It disappeared, dissolving into a whirlwind of violet particles.
This guard defended the core of the computer program and the most secure archive of the neo-Babylonian megacorporation.
The main secrets of the enemy were at hand.
However...
Hakuno touched the Scapegoat Charm pendant around her neck, a charm that can help to divert disaster by taking the place of the user:
"Code cast: Gain_con (32)!"
Violet energy emerges from under the feet of Tamamo, enveloping her. At the same time, Hakuno cried out:
"Block!"
With an elegant gesture of the hand, Tamamo swirled her mirror, interposing it in front of the attacker... there was a violent shock. In spite of her Noble Phantasm and Hakuno's Code Cast, Tamamo groans and staggers pushed back several steps.
Holding a black sword in his hand, a man had just appeared.
He was dressed in several superimposed robes and richly decorated with colored motifs, fringed with gold threads. His beard was black and curly, he wore earrings and a heavy gold cylindrical tiara. He resembled an ancient king of Babylon.
But Hakuno immediately recognized his face:
"Rider!"
The King of Babylon smiles sardonically:
"You don't think I was going to leave the computer unattended?"
The fight was intense. Two Servants supported by their Masters faced the third one. Nevertheless... the power of Rider was immense. Even by collaborating, Lancer and Caster could barely contain the monstrous power of their opponent.
Her clothes torn off, covered with scratches, Tamamo jumped aside, avoiding a wave of shimmering darkness.
"Block!"
Rider had just regained his humanoid form and struck a big blow with his black sword. Casko's mirror sounded like a gong as the king of Babylon struck.
Sundiata Keita leaped to attack and his spear struck Rider, who cried out of pain before backing away. But the injury did not prevent him from attacking again. Lancer managed to fend off but was pushed back several feet away, falling to his knees.
"Skill!"
Tamamo stood up:
"Curse: Frigid Heaven!"
A wall of ice formed, as if from the ground.
For a moment, Rider seemed to be trapped in the icebox but...
Lightning struck his prison, which shattered, throwing everyone to the ground. Rider had once again changed shape... in front of them was a massive black bull. But his head was that of Rider, still crowned with his golden tiara, and wings of eagles extended on his flanks. Flying away, he landed on them the burning hooves, surrounded by storm clouds pushed by a furious wind and wrapped by lightning...
"Block!"
The shock was incredibly violent. Tamamo had jumped in front of Hakuno, blocking the attack, but Caster couldn't take it anymore. She was panting and shaking on her legs.
Behind them, Keita got up, he had also blocked the attack thanks to his zebra skin shield but clenched his teeth! His chest was burned like his hair.
They turned to Rider, who had regained human form. He smiled:
"Nice thing, none of you are dead yet. You've earned a reward."
His sword disappeared, replaced by a horrible scepter... it was a long black and knotty stick finished by a mummified hand with long and black nails, these claws were closed on a milky sphere covered with sinister gleam:
"I am the night!
I am the darkness!
I am despair and death!
I am your worst nightmare!
Hand of Nergal!"
As Rider unleashed his Noble Phantasm, he was surrounded by an army of bat-like creatures, but they were intangible shadows with fluorescent eyes... vampires eager for their flesh and blood.
"Skill!"
While Tamamo invoked 'Aphotic Cave', Hakuno touched her pendant again:
"Code cast: Gain_con (32)!"
Hakuno awkwardly stood up, remembering the bats that had fallen upon them and shivering... the attack had been both physical and mental. It was horrible. Fortunately, Tamamo had protected her.
Suddenly regaining a crystal clear mind, Hakuno seized Caster's shoulder to turn her over and held back a small cry. The kitsune was covered with wounds and completely exhausted. Looking blank, she did not even seem conscious.
Hakuno opened her Portable Terminal and took one of her rarest objects:
"Elixir"
A spiral of light surrounded Tamamo no Mae who straightened up, her HP and MP totally healed.
Falouma had also healed her Servant but Rider had let them do it with an arrogant smile. All the wounds he had received until then had disappeared, as he noted their startled gaze, he laughed:
"And yes, my Noble Phantasm not only allows me to attack my enemies physically and mentally... it also steals the life and magic of my opponents... making me more powerful. The more you fight, the stronger I become! I am invincible!"
(1) In the north of Benin, the people of Yoruba (of Sudanese origin) erected cities of one hundred thousand inhabitants. Skillful irrigation farmers were also cattle farmers. This brilliant civilization knew copper work. They excelled in this art and the (re)discovery of their bronzes at the beginning of the twentieth century amazed Europeans who rarely associated high artistic value with a "negro work". There are still traces of the Yoruba kingdom in Benin and Togo.
They are also responsible for rich and valuable craftsmanship in pottery and weaving.
But the Fons (lords) of Dahomey were also conquerors who resorted to slavery. And since they had a scribe caste who recorded all the important facts of the history of their kingdom, we have a good idea of their slave consumption.
Between 1486 and 1641 they imported 1,389,000 slaves from Angola.
By comparison between 1580 and 1680, the Fons exported - on behalf of Portugal - 10,000 slaves to Brazil.
Triangular traffic did not reach its peak until the following century. Between 1783 and 1793, 900 ships left Liverpool Harbor - a major center of the Black Trade - to bring 300,000 slaves to America. These "loads" reached a cumulative value of 15 million British pounds.
The truth about the slave trade is simple, Europeans who reached Ghana exchanged glass beads and firearms for gold. Arriving on the Ivory Coast... they traded ivory. In Benin, they met the powerful slave states of the region. They gave them slaves just as they sold them to the Arabs.
I'm not saying, "Oh, poor European traders. They were offered slaves for glass beads, they would not refuse, it would not have been polite. All this is the fault of the bad slave owners of the region... " NO! I'm just saying that the wrongs were shared. White peoples didn't go into the bush to capture Black peoples like we often try to make us believe! The first culprits of the slave trade were Blacks who razed the villages of the neighboring ethnic groups, who killed, captured, and brought captives chained to the European counters of the coast. To put the problem in terms of "Black VS White" is also to forget that only a minority of Europeans have benefited from slavery (and colonization).
(2) And not only man, experiments conducted on rats in laboratories or films shot in battery hen farms also showed that violence is higher in this kind of confined places.
(3) This is an application of the Golem effect. The golem effect is a psychological phenomenon in which lower expectations placed upon individuals either by supervisors or the individual themselves lead to poorer performance by the individual. This effect is mostly seen and studied in educational and organizational environments. It is a form of self-fulfilling prophecy. To summarize, if you make television's programs depicting men as aggressive, stupid, and selfish... the viewers will become more violent, dumber, and less able to cooperate.
Author's note: More than two thousand years ago, Aristotle said: "To educate the mind without educating the heart is not education." I wrote this episode of Music of the Sphere with the same idea in mind. Everything Kadidia says is scientifically proven. Man is a sociable animal. Evolution has endowed him with this fabulous tool. For the success of an action, man does not resort to the strength of an individual but to the cooperation of many. By protecting and helping others around us, we increase the chances of the group surviving. And this is the origin of humanity's privileged position at the top of the food chain. Some experiments which have shown the fundamentally altruistic character of man are now more than 60 years old... it is unfortunate that they are still not taken into consideration by the "elite" ruling the world. However, before you rejoice, I must teach you something else. Man is not "bad", but he is not either "good", he is capable of empathy. Unlike compassion - with which empathy is often confused- empathy is not really a positive feeling. Empathy makes us feel the suffering of another as our own... if a friend is angry we get angry, if he takes a weapon the worst can happen. Empathy allows an individual to share the emotions of his group... alas the human brain (this wonderful biological computer) runs with outdated software that has not been updated for 10,000 years, this program could be called "Hunter-Gatherer 1.0". And this program is not up to date, obesity and diabetes are the most glaring pieces of evidence. We always eat as if we were running pursuing a deer in the environment of the last ice age. Similarly, our empathy is only for the person we recognize as members of our "tribe" and that is the origin of racism. However, I don't want to end with a pessimistic note. The current situation is the result of an error... a correctible error, through education. Lewis E. Lawes, who was the director of the famous Sing Sing prison around 1920-1930, (and the author of the book "1,000 years at Sing Sing") said that he had achieved extraordinary results simply by listening and trust. And if it's possible to reintegrate a hardened criminal simply by showing him that we believe in him and his honesty, what do you think it is possible to obtain with your neighbors and acquaintances? Don't forget also this, it is realistic to be peaceful, open-minded, and tolerant... statically 29% of violent revolutions have succeeded against 50% of pacifist movements. Two thousand and five hundred years ago, Buddha already said: "Hatred has never put an end to hatred. But love is the end of hatred." Nelson Mandela put an end to apartheid in South Africa, and Mahatma Gandhi achieved decolonization of India without any weapon other than pacifism.
