Its been about four years since I wrote on this account. Things have happened and to be honest I did not do anything related to fanfiction for these four years. In those four years I have tried to comeback, and failed due to various reasons. Some as obvious as 'lack of time', my budding Sunday league football career, and of course, sheer laziness. I made a phoenix account called DarkRedEnchanter12. So here's situation. I wrote this fanfic when I was senior in high school, I have now graduated college. I have not even touched fanfic until I did my return fanfic To Fly As High As Honor on my phoenix account. Long story short, life happened. I got a bachelor's degree (In English/Creative Writing), got a job, moved around (from England to Scotland and then back to Florida again). I look back at this fanfic with fond memories. Of course I feel like I could do a better job. The original manuscript that I written of Fury has been lost, but do not fret.

First, I would like to thank all the supporters, who continued supporting the fanfic. I do not believe that my writing was bad even though I wrote Fury in high school. However, I do believe I could have worked on a few things. For example, I didn't really take this seriously. I wrote a draft, published it without editing, and added as much pop culture references as possible. My thoughts while writing this were, "Hey, its fanfic, no one really gives a fuck about writing quality. I'll insert Stafford (who contrary to popular belief is not a self-insert) just so one of my favorite actors Max Irons can be in AGOT like I always wanted to. Oh and I'll add a love triangle because why the hell not." And within months the story blew up. With all the praise and hate that it comes with. Then without warning, I stopped. I felt like it took too much time. Tried to get back into it but lacked the passion and inspiration to do so.

What made me log onto this account to write this statement after all these years. Well, I decided to get back to writing fanfic about March of this year. I only re-logged this account to archive it. I planned on not touching it. Until I went to manage stories and decided to check the endgame stats of this story. And it blew me away. I remember I left this hanging and I only had about 270 favorites and 290 follows. In four years of inactivity, it still grew. People still read it. You guys even have your own opinions on Stafford and the various OCs. And I'm like damn. This account is too good to be archived. This story is must have at least some merit if it attracted this much attention.

I've re-examined the fanfic and yes re-read the entire 200k+ story. I have realized that it has so much potential. It's raw, lacks a lot of polish, but inside is a great story. Much like an uncut gemstone, it has promise. My re-reading of my old works has got me inspired. It has fueled something in me. When I was assigned to teach a creative writing class in my high school as well as English II, my sophomores asked if I had samples of what I had written back then. So I before school was dismissed for the summer, I spent an entire period reading this with them. They laughed, but since most of the creative writing students also wrote fanfic or their own work, they really found out that I was like them at their age. Sure I'm only twenty-two. Tied for the youngest teacher in the entire school. Not sound cliche, but it took me back to those days that I wrote this after wrestling meets in high school. And realizing those times weren't so far in the past (2017 was only four years ago). I graduated in 2017 and had my first semester of college spring of 2018, because I had to finish a few credits to graduate early. I thought the world of fanfic would end there. Sure, I attempted a few comebacks, but I quietly dipped in the background hoping no one noticed.

So after four years of relative inactivity, I have decided to use this summer to get me reacclimated into this writing routine. I'm a teacher now. I have responsibilities that I simply did not have when I was in high school. This story will continue, but it will undergo major changes. I will literally go in and edit each chapter. I will cut content I feel is unnecessary (Several OCs will be cut, but a large majority of the major plot elements will remain the same, including the random love triangle. Felt it gave this story controversy and character so I'm not going to remove it). Clean up the references and grammar. And I promise you Stafford's story is not over.

While you wait for the sweeping edits and for this story to continue (which it will because I can't be bothered to create AN entire new story especially with the content in this one. Restarting would be a waste), I'm going to continue my fanfic To Fly as High as Honor on this account. It's a story revolving around (well three of them) story, and since its one I've gotten rhythm I will write in conjunction with this story. It's already up on my other account DarkRedEnchanter12. I'll repost it here and delete it off that account. That other account will only be used for requests (which are open, I'm planning on four active projects this summer, I have about 14 hours of downtime per day if nothing occupies it thanks to school being out. One request is already taken, so by process of elimination if you want me to write something PM me and the first person to pitch me their idea gets that slot). Anyway, sorry for rambling.

Have great rest of your day and I will see you one of my stories!
