Chapter 17
WHAT'S UP GUYS, ITS ZAYDEN STORMVOID HERE! BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER OF WELCOME TO THE MCU!
Last time, we had yet another 30k word chapter and hopefully this one will be a bit less dense as the last two. Oh and also the actual stuff that happened last time was full on Izuku humiliation in the Star Spangled Man, Schmidt and Hydra defecting from the Nazis, Izuku and Setsuna both looking like blushing tomatoes as their movie counterparts grew closer, Izuku saving the captured soldiers, including the Howling Commandoes that were 5 of the past OFA users, the full reveal of Red Skull and throwing away his humanity fully, and Izuku's true acceptance as Captain America. Now we are starting back up with possibly some crying about to occur.
But before we start the waterworks, I just have to point out the number of people praising me for this decision of making the Howling Commandoes 5 of the past OFA users, and I appreciate that, but I did mention that this wasn't my idea at first, it was my reviewers, like KGBeastBoy, that convinced me of the idea, so why don't we give him and the others a rounds of applause too. Again, while I have the Final decision, you guys commenting and saying your opinions and points can still have an impact, as evidence here, just be respectful and chill about it if I do or do not do what you say.
And on another note, I wish to set the record straight but, this fic and the movies of the MCU it will cover will end on Endgame and a post-interlude chapter to lead into the sequel fic. As for Spider-Man: Far From Home, Black Widow and the MCU tied short mini-series, like WandaVision, they will be covered in the sequel fic if I get enough people clamoring for them, and I am only considering WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier because they are good and short enough. I'm still on the fence on Loki since I heard that it is a little bad, but since its only starting I will wait and see before I judge it as the woke garbage that I'm afraid it Could to become.
Now with that said, let's get onto the reviews:
OmnipotentAbsoluteUIGodzilla: The answer is yes, yes I am stark raving insane. Yeah, I really got the play of the game there by blocking some of that info, especially the second since, while I know he's not Bakugou, his similar appearance to him could lead to him possibly being Bakugou's distant ancestor and that would be cause for alarm. Also, (Spoilers) technically we now know the 3rd's Quirk but we still don't know his name or the name and Quirk of the 2nd, and the First would actually know both the 2nd and 3rd since he met both of them when they saved him. (Spoilers end) And yeah, I might not fully reveal Endeavor's abusive history to the group since that ruins the impact for the manga in the future, but yeah, Endeavor might want to watch his mouth talking back to me and F.R.I.D.A.Y. Also, yes they would argue, but Cap was a Hero and Legend Way before Tony, who's more a modern Icon while Cap still has Decades of being idolized, so much so they made a whole short series of people disputing who the next Cap would be.
draconis ignitus: Glad that you see and understand why I did that. Technically, Izuku's stage mask hid his green hair and some features of his face around the eyes, so checks out for how things worked back then, and green eyes, while not as common as blue or brown, are still fairly common enough that they wouldn't try to edit it out. I got a good candidate for Black Panther in the works and Kaminari will definitely get his moment in the spotlight, two movies worth, four if you count IW and Endgame. The scene in the manga that really made me convinced to have Shigaraki as Red Skull for this fic was during his dream where his family, including Nana Shimura, grab onto him and tell him to not forget them and then he tosses them aside, like Red Skull did with his face. Hmmm, that Star Wars suggestion, I'll think about it, and since I won't be doing that until I finish this fic, I'll have plenty.
FShield96: There will be another part after this to finish off Captain America. That's all I asked and all we can respectfully do when two people come at odds with their opinions. Yeah, that was something that I too realized when I planned to make this story, but accepted it and still continue to move forward. I had a blast writing the Star Spangled Man part and feel glad that I decided to have the 5 vestiges as the Howling Commandoes.
Yarheeguy: I respectfully disagree, and I'll say why but this will involve anime and manga spoilers that won't be spoilers in the next month or two in Season 5 so feel free to tune this out till then and just respectfully disagree. Firstly, Hydra is Not a semi-counterpart to the League of Villains, they are the semi-counterparts or parallel organization of the Paranormal Liberation Front, which so happens to be lead by the League of Villains members but also the former Meta Liberation members as well. Technically, Hydra and the PLF, or the Meta Liberation Army as they Once were, are similar in both their tactics and ideas. They both are secret organizations long thought destroyed but instead went underground and infiltrated modern society by way of politicians, corporations, law enforcement, and media, have a secret army of practically brainwashed devotees with a secret handshake/phrase like 'Hail Hydra', and while the MLA or PLF want complete Quirk freedom as you guessed, ultimately there are two factors that make it similar to Hydra's complete order and supremacy ideals. First, supremacy, as the MLA or PLF or whatever believe that a person's worth is only measured by their Quirks, ie someone like Muscular would have more rights and freedom to do whatever he wanted than a guy with stars in his head, and definitely more than a Quirkless person, which is similar to Hydra's roots of Nazi Germany and their Aryan Supremacy bullshit. As for the similarity to control and order, while total Quirk freedom sounds the opposite of that, obviously that will lead to Chaos, disorder, anarchy, and what better way to establish total order and control in the chaos, as the plan for the PLF, (Manga spoilers further than Season 5) before they were found out and captured, was to cause complete destruction and mayhem with their Quirks in cities, have their infiltrated corporations, politicians, and philosophy move in to take control in the guise of 'helping to bring peace' and badda bing badda boom, they and their plans are like Hydra in Captain America the Winter Soldier. Also for Alexander Pierce, when we get there you will see who my choice for him is and see why I chose him.
TitanSolracer: I can respectfully agree that that idea is certainly both an interesting idea and a plausible one, maybe its so in another world. Only problem is that I don't know if Natsuo has the charming, funny idiot energy of Star Lord as apposed to the other obvious option. I felt like the Howling Commandoes deserved counterparts of their own. Despite them being side characters, they actually contributed more than most forgettable side characters, and if a character does a big enough impact then they will more likely get a counterpart. There is one problem with Shimura being Captain Marvel: Shimura is likeable, Danvers isn't, then again I will run that problem with any character I think of for her. Hulk's counterpart will ultimately be revealed for the Avengers so nearly there.
StallionWolf: Deku is actually based more on Spider-Man than anything, what with the acrobatics, enhanced speed and strength, Air Force projectiles similar to Web Bullets, with the exception of stickyness, Black Whip for Spidey's webs, Danger Sense being discount Spider Sense, and even add in Miles Morales's struggle in dealing with the legacy of a mentor weighing down on you. But Deku actually has more similarities to other heroes of both Marvel and Dc. He's got the Flight/Float and super strength of Superman, strength, hand-to-hand combat, and stubborn conviction of Captain America, the analysis, weakness solving of enemy and ally powers and skills, and Smokescreen/Smoke bombs of Batman, green coloring and willpower of Green Lantern, and the nine holders of OFA mirror the Nine Lights of the Emotional Spectrum, super speed and lightning sparking off of him and stance on hope of the Flash, the compassion and heart of Wonder Woman, and the dealing with a mentor's legacy burden and acrobatics of Nightwing. Just something I wanted to throw out there.
Axccel: Firstly, Thor himself said he and his people's powers and technology are a mix of science and magic, but semantics. Secondly, in this story Izuku Rogers is a blend of Steve Rogers and Izuku Midoriya and is Japanese-American as he has mostly Izuku's appearance and any instances of racism towards him for being Japanese-American is just something I added for that. And thirdly, not to be rude, but do you live under a rock? During WWII, 120,000 Japanese-Americans were forcefully relocated and incarcerated in America's own concentration camps, mostly around the Pacific Coast, for obvious paranoia and concerns that one of them was a Japanese spy, plus this was the 1940's of course there were still racism issues going on then, even towards Asians. The only difference between American concentration camps and German concentration camps were that the Japanese-Americans were treated rather humanely than the Jews.
With that all said, here is the index:

And as always, I don't own My Hero Academia, that's Horikoshi and Bones Studios, who are doing an awesome job so far for Season 5, or the MCU, that's Marvel, the evil overlor-um I mean-Disney, and Sony, and I Don't take credit for the movies, which belongs to the awesome movie studios, directors, and actors.
Now, LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Cost of War
Third POV
"I am honored to present this Medal of Valor, to my personal friend," Senator Brandt spoke towards a crowd full of military officials, reporters, and photographers. "Captain America!" Brandt gestured behind him behind close curtains.
A few seconds passed with no Captain America popping out.
"And its awkward again." Mineta said.
"Yeah, but a more funny awkward." Sero chuckled.
"Captain America!" Brandt called for again, only for no person to come out again and the crowd looking confused. "Captain, that's your cue!"
All Might snorted amused, he, and soon the rest of the group, knowing full well that Izuku wasn't there. 'Makes me wonder if Young Midoriya would do the same here?' All Might thought. 'When, and I do mean When, he becomes Number 1 and fully replaces me, will he even show up?' All Might thought about it for a few seconds before getting his answer. 'Nope. He'd rather be saving others, that's just who he is.'
Instead of the Captain, the show manager of the plays came out and whispered into Brandt's ear, Brandt's displeased face obvious.
"This is what you get!" Nejire shouted. "Making poor 'Zuzu into your prize pony!"
"Um." Pony voiced.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I mean show monkey!" Nejire corrected herself. "Sorry, Tsunotori!"
"Its okay." Pony said.
"I thought he'd be taller." The same old man from the past two movies, this time a military official, whispered to the man beside him.
"Okay what the hell is going on?" Kyouka questioned confused and annoyed. "This is the 4th time this same old man has shown up, and this time like 70 years in the past from when we first saw him!"
"Maybe he's the grandfather to the first dude?" Kaminari suggested.
"If he is, its one uncanny family resemblance." Sen replied.
Nezu meanwhile hummed in thought over the old man's fourth appearance. 'Perhaps after my talk with Endeavor, and the inevitable conversation me and All Might might have with Aizawa that is sure to happen, I should consult with F.R.I.D.A.Y. over this man.' Nezu thought.
The scene changed to London, England, Big Ben in the background and the screen panning down towards the buildings to see a newsstand with the headline: 'Captain America To Receive Medal For Valour'.
"Oh wait, I almost forgot!" Kirishima exclaimed. "Midobro, dude, you bailed on getting a freaking Medal of Valor! I don't even know whether that's Manly for continuing your duties or not for the disrespect or something."
"I'm sure my other self didn't mean any offense to it." Izuku replied. "If I could garner a guess from what he thought, he might have thought that awards were unnecessary and a distraction to the war at hand."
"Oh god." Uraraka groaned. "You're starting to sound like Mr. Aizawa, Deku."
The students of 1-A burst out laughing, even Deku, while their teacher remained conflicted whether to smile at his students taking to his views in Hero work or glare annoyingly at them just to scare them for fun. He chose the latter.
The panning screen changed to an underground room full of military personnel, people rushing around while others stood around a large table with a map of Europe with markings on it.
"Ooh, an underground base of operations." Setsuna hummed in approval. "So sneaky and covert. I like it."
"The fifth one was here in Poland, right near the Baltic." Izuku said, dressed in military attire, drawing markings on a map, with Carter and another man standing beside him. "And the sixth one was...about here, 30, 40 miles of the Maginot Line." As Rogers finished, the man took the map and walked away, leaving Carter staring at Rogers. "I just got a quick look." He defended himself.
"Photographic memory for the win!" Mirio cheered, playfully raising his fist in the air.
"Yay!" Eri copied the teen, much to the chuckles of the group.
"Well, nobody's perfect." Setsuna rolled her eyes and replied, flashing Izuku a smile, one which Izuku smiled, the super-soldier's gaze lingering a bit on the agent before shaking his head and following her towards the large table with the map.
What resulted from that was another pair of blushing green-haired teens desperately avoiding the teasing gazes of their friends and some of the adults, the jealous glares of a certain group of females, and their own gazes.
Eri looked at the interaction as well. She looked back and forth between Deku and Setsuna and Rogers and Carter. 'Papa and Set look like they like each other.' Eri thought as she looked back at the screen. 'And other Papa and Set look at each other like a Mama and Papa do. So is she really Mama? I am so confused. I need to ask Papa later.'
"These are the weapon factories we know about." Rogers said, as he, Carter, and Phillips stared at the map, figurines of factories with Hydra flags on them. "Sergeant Barnes said that Hydra shipped all the parts to another facility that isn't on this map."
"Wait how Todoroki know that?" Kaminari asked. "Did the evil doctor dude do the whole 'exposit his evil plans while he was helpless on the table' thing?"
"Most likely." Tokoyami said.
"Agent Carter, coordinate with MI6." Phillips ordered as the three walked away. "I want every Allied eyeball looking for that main Hydra base."
"200 yen that that secret Hydra base is that Red Skull's hideout in the mountain." Sero betted.
"You're on." Mineta agreed.
"Of course the Mountain Base is that unknown one, you idiots!" Bakugou yelled. "Even if they are stupid enough to exposit their plans stupidly, they aren't That idiotic that they would name or show where they most important base is!"
"Calm down, Bakubro." Kirishima patted the explosive boy's shoulder. "They are just having fun, that's all."
"Hands off, Shitty Hair!" Bakugou yelled again.
"What about us?" Carter asked as they stopped.
"We are going to set a fire under Johann Schmidt's ass." Phillips said as a blonde haired woman gave him a file, before turning her gaze to Rogers. "What do you say Rogers? Its your map. You think you can wipe Hydra off it?"
While the scene played, the girls, including Setsuna, stared suspiciously at the blonde woman staring at Izuku. They knew that she wasn't doing anything, but some sixth sense that women have in their heads was just screaming that the way she was gazing at Izuku was cause for warning.
"Yes, sir." Izuku answered. "I'll need a team."
"We're already putting together the best men." Phillips replied.
"With all due respect sir, so am I." Cap responded.
"Huh, so Midoriya's putting together his own team." Hawks said. "Sounds like one of our Team Ups that we do."
"I bet its gonna be those guys whose counterparts we know jack shit about." Miruko betted. "With the fact they got some screen time and even bothered analyzing who they were in our world, it wasn't the last we saw of them."
"True." Hawks nodded.
Izuku now found himself in a table with the five men he recused from the Hydra base. "So, let's get this straight." Dugan said as he placed the beer down and looked to Izuku.
Miruko and Hawks fist bumped, smirks on their faces.
Meanwhile, those among the group that knew of One For All stared at the group closely. Tsukauchi began writing down notes in his notepad at the behaviors and mannerisms of the group, wondering if perhaps they shared common traits that can be compared to the previous One For All users they were counterparts of. Gran Torino spent most of his time gazing at Jim Morita, who's counterpart was the holder of One For All before his friend, Shimura.
Bakugou stared at the group of men too, his gaze following that of Dugan and Morita, the former because his counterpart was the one who held the Black Whip Quirk that Deku recently got and the latter because of the similar costume design his counterpart had to that of Best Jeanist, much like Yaoyorozo pointed out, wondering if his mentor did have some connection to the former OFA user.
As for Izuku, All Might, and Nezu, they inspected all five of them, each one perhaps holding a similar trait or clue to their Quirk or character they thought, but their gaze often shifted to Jones and Jacques, the two who's counterparts weren't even named or shown an image of. Izuku was certain that the two were the 2nd and 3rd users, and wondered why their exclusion and secrecy was so important that it required to be omitted more strictly than the other three. The First he knew why, since he was All For One's brother and the very first who ever had One For All, but why the other two was still a frustrating mystery to him.
All Might shared Izuku's frustrations, his own research into the Vestiges producing nothing in regards to the 2nd and 3rd, an outcome he expected considering most records back during the Dawn of Quirks were scarce, but still frustrating. All Might then thought of why the 2nd and 3rd were so mysterious and shrouded in secrecy, including to Midoriya. 'Is it because Midoriya hasn't adjusted to One For All enough?' All Might thought. 'When Midoriya first saw the Vestiges, he was at his 5% threshold and they looked simply like barely discernable ghosts, and even then their appearance was triggered by Young Shinsou's Brainwashing Quirk. The second was right before the Joint Training Class and he saw them all vividly, including some fiery spirit of myself, except for the 2nd and 3rd. Could his access to One For All be tied to it? But if that was the case then he shouldn't have seen the First who was before them. Or could it be that they themselves are choosing to hide themselves from Midoriya? But if so, then why?'
Nezu thought the same as Izuku, pondering if perhaps the omission of their appearance was perhaps similar to someone amongst this group or someone this group knows. 'The time when One For All first was created, from what Toshinori knows, was at the same time as All For One, by the Dawn of Quirks, over 200 years ago.' Nezu thought. 'It could be that 3rd or 2nd is perhaps a long distant ancestor to one among our not-so-little group here with a similar appearance towards them to reflect such, or perhaps their similar appearance is simply one of coincidence but would still cause an issue from such a misunderstanding.'
"We barely got out of there alive, and you want us to go back?" Gabe repeated Cap's request.
"Pretty much." Rogers replied.
"Love how he's just being honest about it and not sugar coating it or trying to convince them with promises of glory or something." Hawks said.
"These men have already experienced war and imprisonment so trying to convince them of joining for glory would be foolish." Edgeshot replied. "He is simply being honest to them as he knows of the pain and experience they faced and letting them decide for themselves."
"Sounds rather fun, actually." Falsworth voiced his opinion with a smile.
"I'm in." Jim burped out.
Frenchie spoke up in French with a rather excited and dramatic voice. Izuku stood there silently while Gabe replied to Jacques in French as well, to which Frenchie laughed and shook the man's hand.
"Uh, translation, please?" Nejire asked.
"I can assist in this request, Mademoiselle Hado." Aoyama declared dramatically. "The man, Jacques declared, and pardon my profanity: 'I'll fight until the last of these bastards is dead, chained up, or just cry like a little baby'. Monsieur Gabriel then replied with 'I hope all three at once', to which Jacques laughed and said 'Me too'.
(Props to Danthros, an awesome reviewer who offered and helped with the French translation. Again, thanks my man.)
"Huh, for once you being a dramatic tool about being French or something payed off." Mina replied, much to the chuckles of the 1-A students and the angry glare from Aoyama.
Gabe chuckled and turned to Cap and the rest who were silent. "We're in." He clarified.
Izuku turned to Dugan. "Hell, I'll always fight." Dugan revealed. "But you got to do one thing for me."
"What's that?" Izuku asked with a growing smirk.
Dugan downed the rest of his beer. "Open a tab." He replied. Izuku and the men laughed.
Izuku got up, grabbed the mugs, and went to the bar table. "Well that was easy." Morita said to more laughter from the guys.
"You think we could get Midoriya to open a tab if we bring him along to a pub in the future?" Sero whispered to the guys around him.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure of it." Kaminari nodded. "We should definitely bring him along."
"Guys, manipulating Midobro to pay for drinks is not really a manly thing to do." Kirishima said with a frown.
"Oh come on, Kirishima." Kaminari whined. "It would be fun. Come on, imagine what Midoriya would do if he was drunk."
"I imagine that would range from accidently destroying the pub with one snap of his finger or perhaps drunkingly mumble even more than usual." Tokoyami pointed out.
"Oh yeah, I didn't think about that." Sero said, the guys forming a mental image of drunk Izuku dunkingly mumble up a storm and scaring all the girls inside or accidentally activating his Quirk and bring the building on top of them. "Maybe we should hold back on that, at least until we know that wouldn't happen."
"Another round." Izuku said to the barman, placing the mugs before him.
"Where are they putting all this stuff?" The barman questioned in surprise.
"A man who can hold his liquor is a real Man in my book!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed.
The men in pub started singing as the piano started playing. "See? I told you." Bucky said to the approaching Rogers. "They're all idiots."
"How about you?" Izuku asked, as he sat down beside his best friend. "You ready to follow Captain America into the jaws of death?"
"Hell, no." Shoto replied, looking to Izuku. "That little guy from Brooklyn who was too dumb not to run away from a fight. I'm following him."
Izuku and Todoroki, without looking, fist bumped again, smiles on both their faces, the two thinking back to their history, Izuku snapping Todoroki out of his funk, Todoroki saving and helping Izuku and Iida against Stain, the incident at the Forest Training Camp and going off to save Bakugou from the Villains.
'To the end of the line.' The two thought.
"Awww!" The girls cooed, making the two guys blush embarrassed, their bothers-in-arms moment suddenly more embarrassing.
The two smiled and drank their drinks. "But you're keeping the outfit right?" Barnes asked.
Rogers smirked. "You know what?" He said as he looked at a Captain America tour poster, now with a cancelled sign on it. "Its kind of growing on me."
"Its a lot like Midori's old bunny costume from before." Mina said. "Just when I was liking it, Midori then changed it."
"T-T-That wasn't my fault!" 'Midori' explained himself, blushing at the compliment and use of his nickname again. "A-Also what do you mean bunny? I didn't base my suit off of that."
"Yeah, that was me." Mei said. "Thought that Muscles needed a new look to make him stand out more in a cool, darker way. Plus, the new design is perfect for more of my babies to upgrade gradually. Also, yeah no, sorry Muscles, but that suit definitely looked like a bunny."
As the group chuckled at the blushing teen's expense, Miruko perked up at the mention of his bunny-like old costume wondering if his current Hero suit still resembled a bit of his former bunny suit and wondering if he based it off of her.
The singing men suddenly stopped singing as they turned to look at a new arrival, staring in frozen silence and gawking. Shoto and Izuku noticed and looked over, standing from their seats, to look at the cause of their silence, to find it was Setsuna Carter, dressed in a tight, form-fitting red dress that showed off her curves in near extreme detail.
The jaws of the male students dropped one by one, blushes on their faces, with the only ones to keep it together being Bakugou, who looked away as he felt a sideways glance from another greenette, Todoroki who merely raised an eyebrow, looked her over and respectfully nodded, Kirishima who gained a blush and nothing more, Jurota respectfully looked away, like a gentlemen, same with Tokoyami. The girls were conflicted whether to compliment the greenette for how gorgeous she looked or stew silently in jealousy.
"Wow, Setsuna, you look really pretty!" Pony cheered for her friend.
"Hmm, you do look really attractive." Yui said blankly. "I didn't think the red would go well with your hair, but it rather does."
"Aww, Yui, you're making me blush." Setsuna said smiling brightly, more than usual.
Said source of her smile was the current green-haired teen who looked ready to go thermonuclear. His face was so red that he could light through a cloudy night sky better than Rudolph, his jaw slack and agape, indiscernible mumbled coming out like his brain went dead, and eyes wide and clearly looking at every curve and that the red dress highlighted, now forever ingrained in his head. The Green Bean tried to look away but for the life of him he couldn't, analyzing as the red dress highlighted not just her figure but her dark moss green, curled hair, her red lips, and dark green eyes that stared back his own, his counterpart more specifically, with interest and respect.
"SHE IS SO FUCKING HOT!" Mineta's voice snapped the green haired teen from his stupor. "HER HIPS ARE SO CURVACEOUS AND SHAPELY THAT I WANT TO SQUEEZE THEM AND GROPE THEM FOR HOURS! THAT HOURGLASS WAIST MAKES ME WANT TO RUN MY HADS DOWN OVER AND OVER! AND THOSE BOOBS LOOK SO LARGE AND SQUEEZABLE LIKE THEY ARE THE PERFECT STRESSBALLS FOR ME TO SQUEEZE AND PLAY WI-"
That was as far as he got before Black Whip wrapped around his neck. The guys were frozen still as they saw Black Whip choking the comically struggling grape-headed pervert, the black tendril leading up to pissed off Izuku that look just as, if not more, terrifying as before, green bio-electricity sparking off his body like a miniature storm cloud, his messy green hair flowing and wavy almost ghost-like, other tendrils of Black Whip oozing out the back of his shoulders like a some sort of demonic monster.
"Shut. Up!" Deku growled, his voice clearly annoyed and pissed beyond belief, his eyes glowing dangerously bright, yet so cold at the same time. The Black Whip tendril released the pervert only for it to lash out again and chop the back of his neck, making the grape-headed pervert fall unconscious.
Most of the guys looked spooked, even frightened, especially Kaminari who quickly wiped away his drool from before and mentally scolded himself, reminding himself that he was angry not to long ago about his grandmother's possible counterpart smiling flirtingly with Midoriya and here he was ogling Tokage who the two clearly had a thing between them, along with the rest of the girls of his class. He counted his luck that Izuku didn't notice, or more likely didn't attack him, giving himself a pat on the back for being decent enough of a guy, or manly enough as Kirishima would say, to keep those thoughts to himself and not shout them out to the world like Mineta.
The other guys decided to stay out of this, knowing the purple pervert didn't exactly deserve to be left ranting undeterred and without consequence. Hell, even Monoma was conflicted, wanting to rant himself about how 1-A's Midoriya was nothing but a con, a fraud of a nice guy and in fact nothing more than a brute, yet couldn't for two reasons. One being that he defended the honor of one of his classmates, which he both appreciated and was annoyed that he didn't do so himself, and because he was certain that speaking up now would result in perhaps a harsher knock out than even the purple pervert. Whether it came from the girls or even Midoriya himself, he wasn't sure, but he wasn't going to test his luck.
The girls were simultaneously proud and jealous over what happened. The likes of Momo, Kyouka, and Asui nodded in respect of Midoriya shutting up the annoying grape, his perverted rant annoying them immensely. Melissa, Mei, and Nejire felt neutral towards Mineta, Melissa being the only one who knew the purple pervert back in I-Island and tolerating his presence because he was initially funny, but the purple perv's shouting, she and the rest, felt was rather disrespectful and gross to say while the counterpart to said woman he was gushing over was sitting in the same room, even the uncaring, of such things, Mei was annoyed. So Izuku's actions, while maybe a bit over-the-top, to them were rather noble and respectful for Setsuna and the, even if, again, it was a little overkill, and sentiment shared by the remaining girls of 1-B. The sentiment was also shared with Uraraka, Mina, and Hagakure who smiled proud at Izuku's thoughtfulness of others, and also secretly aroused.
Meanwhile, during Mineta's rant, Setsuna felt a mixture of anger, disgust, and embarrassment. Anger from Mineta talk about groping and touching her so casually and loud in front of everyone, as if she would let him, disgust in how Mineta drooled and ogled at her like a slobbering pig, and embarrassment at how he loudly proclaimed all this in front of the entire two classes, teachers, pros, and even kids. The last emotion made her want to cover up her body away in shame. Only for Izuku to suddenly come in and put the purple perve in his place. She knew that it might have been too far to some, but she didn't care, they weren't the ones treated like an object. In the end, she didn't care about what the perve or any of them thought, her attention was solely focused on Izuku. Brave to put the fellow student in his place in front of the teachers and pros. Respectful, both in how she looked, she knew his reaction, pays to have detachable, floating eyes, towards her other self and how he tried to respectfully look away and how he focused his gaze towards her counterpart's face, which she liked, and how he defended her honor like a white chivalrous knight, which, she wouldn't lie, turned her on quite a bit. And finally, decent. A decent guy that fought for her with no needed thought, even though she didn't ask for it, decent to try and look away and not ogle her other self's body too much, and decent enough to feel regret, seeing as he calmed down a few seconds later and started to apologize to the unconscious form of Mineta slumped against the chair.
'You really are something different, Izuku Midoriya.' Setsuna thought smiling, before she herself started to blush madly. 'Wait, since when am I thinking of him as Izuku? I thought I was suppose to call him Greenie or Green Bean not his actual name?!'
The adults were silent throughout the interaction. Through Mineta's rather disgusting rant, most of the teachers sighed in annoyance at yet another inappropriate sexual rant of the small teen, Aizawa's twitching eyes so annoyed and pissed he might have done the same as Midoriya if he hadn't done so a second earlier. While they wouldn't exactly look favorably at Midoriya, they wouldn't also punish him for obviously defending another classmate and doing their job in putting an end to Mineta. The others thought the same with even Tsukauchi staring unfavorably at the unconscious teen and made a note to perhaps look into Mineta's middle school life, see if there was any sexual misconduct that U.A. didn't find in the teen's record.
"Captain." Setsuna greeted Izuku.
"Agent Carter." Rogers greeted back calmly.
The smoking hot agent walked up to and before Izuku, passing by Shoto who greeted her with a "Ma'am." and charming smile. Setsuna only nodded to him once before turning back to Izuku and said "Masaru has some equipment for you to try. Tomorrow morning?"
"Oh wow!" Mina chuckled. "She just walked past Todoroki like he wasn't even there!"
Todoroki blinked in surprise, not exactly used to people ignoring him, either because of his scar or because of who his father is. He didn't know whether to be happy that his best friend's counterpart had gain such an attractive woman's interest, or be slightly offended at being ignored. The duo-haired teen decided to just be a little annoyed yet happy for his friend.
"Sounds good." Izuku replied, Shoto looking between the two in a perplexed and stumped expression. As Setsuna looked towards the now recruited team, Izuku couldn't help but giving Setsuna's body a once over.
"Uh, should this qualify as enough to smack Midoriya out too?" Kosei asked.
"Maybe not." Awase said. "Girls got crazy double standards that are hard to figure out."
"First of all, we can hear you guys." Itsuka said, a comical tick mark on her head. "And secondly, no, Midoriya does not deserve getting knocked out for that."
"Agreed." Ibarra said. "Firstly, the staring from Midoriya was more respectful and he tried not to look in respect of Setsuna. Secondly, it was Midoriya's counterpart that did so, not Midoriya himself."
"Plus, I don't mind Greenie staring." Setsuna said, winking at her fellow green-haired teen who went thermonuclear once again.
"Not helping." Itsuka and Ibarra said at the same time, much to Setsuna's chuckles.
"I see your top squad is prepping for duty." Carter said, referring to the men resuming their singing.
"You don't like music?" Rogers asked.
"I do, actually." Carter answered, staring at Roger's eyes with soul-gazing look. "I might even, when this is all over, go dancing."
"Setsuna, you dance?" Mina asked.
"No, actually, but I agree with my counterpart in that I wouldn't mind some dancing lessons." Setsuna replied. "Think you can help a sister out?"
"Sure thing." Mina said, smiling.
"Then what are we waiting for?" Bucky asked.
"The right partner." Setsuna replied, still looking at Izuku.
"Ooh." Mina said, waving her hand over her face. 'I know that I'm crazy for Midori, but that was actually kind of hot.'
"Smooth, Setsuna." Yui said. "Smooth."
Setsuna grinned and looked towards Izuku, surprised, and delighted to find him not blushing and stuttering like a madman, though he was still blushing, but instead staring at the screen with a confident smirk, one she found really cool and hot.
"0800 Captain." Setsuna informed the Captain before walking off, Izuku and Shoto staring at her as she left.
"Yes, ma'am." Izuku said, tearing his gaze off her her and looking down respectfully. "I'll be there."
"I'm invisible." Shoto declared, turning back to Izuku. "I-I'm turning into you. It's like a horrible dream."
"Don't take it so hard." Izuku smirked and patted his friend's shoulder playfully. "Maybe she's got a friend."
Shoto scoffed, shaking his head and smirking at the irony.
"And the callbacks just keep on coming." Kaminari said.
"A rather ironic turn for the counterpart of the handsomest boy in Class 1-A." Midnight chuckled and licked her lips.
"Next time, I'm bringing a spray bottle." Aizawa groaned.
"Emission signature is unusual." Masaru said as he inspected the blue energy from the caliber round that Rogers brought back. The father of the future Iron Man stood behind a mirror, hands on a pair of controls while the blue energy was inside a room with a machine picking up a tiny bit of blue energy in its pincers.
"Looks like your dad is figuring out what the energy Midoriya brought back is and how it tics, Bakugou." Sero said.
Bakugou wordlessly nodded, his focus and attention on his dad's counterpart.
"Alpha and beta ray neutral." Masaru listed off as he brought the machine and the blue spark of energy upwards for a better look. "Thought I doubt Rogers picked up on that." Masaru said with a smirk to another scientist next to him.
"Huh?" Mina asked confused.
"It means that the particles in whatever this energy is are emitting gamma radiation." Momo explained.
"Wait, that shit's radioactive?!" Sen exclaimed.
"I would be more surprised if whatever the baby is made of wasn't radioactive." Mei replied.
"Seems harmless enough." Masaru Stark said, bring another machine arm up towards the blue spark.
"Yeah, harmless, I feel, isn't the right word to describe that." Uraraka said.
"Indeed." Iida agreed.
"Hard to see what all the fuss is about." His confusion was answered as the another machine attempted to split the energy. What resulted was a explosion that engulfed the room in flames, broke the secured glass to pieces and sent the Stark patriarch flying to the floor behind him.
"That's How Much Power Is In One Speck?!" Kaminari yelled.
Bakugou gritted the teeth in seeing his father flying through the air by that explosion.
The scientist, who was also knocked back by the explosion, shook off his daze and looked to Masaru. Stark lifted his top half up, his hair a mess, and looked to the scientist. "Write that down." He ordered.
"Phew, Uncle Masaru is alright." Izuku breathed a sigh of relief.
"Looks like causing explosions runs in the family, huh Bakubro?" Kirishima grinned teasingly at Bakugou
Bakugou's eyes twitched while mini-explosions sparked in his hands.
Izuku walked through the underground facility before stopping by the same blonde haired woman from before reading a newspaper of the freed soldiers. "Excuse me." Izuku said. "I'm looking for Mr. Stark."
"He's in with Colonel Phillips." The woman, her tag on her shirt reading Lorraine, said. She looked up to Rogers and did a double take as she recognized who he was. "Of course, you're welcome to wait." She added, an added seductive tone to her voice.
Different alarms sounded in the group's head. The adults felt that what was going to occur was going to set the most of the girls off, for obvious reasons, with Aizawa mentally preparing for the migraine that's to follow. The guys felt the same was about to occur with their responses ranging from ducking for cover from the women's wrath, preparing to laugh their asses off, or prepping for dramatic, awkward silence. Even Deku felt that suddenly his life was in danger from the menacing auras rising from the girls around him.
Izuku nodded, smiling nervously, as he walked up and sat on the desk beside him. "I read about what you did." Lorraine said, holding up the newspaper, crossing her legs slowly.
'That little hussy!' Nejire thought as she pouted her lips, angrily glaring at the blonde.
Kyouka's jacks were raised menacingly, a comically glowing red eye piercing through her shadowed over eyes.
"Oh the...yeah." Izuku stuttered, nodding and diverting his eyes from her legs. "Well that's you know...J-Just doing what needed to be done."
Mei's eyes zoomed in and noticed Izuku's counterpart catching that action from the woman, her eyes twitching, her blank smile becoming menacing.
'I saw that Midori.' Mina thought, her mouth in a sick grin, her teeth grating between each other. 'Best hope you don't do that again, mister.'
"Sounded like more than that." Lorraine replied, arm resting on her desk. "You saved nearly 400 men."
'You're going to be the one in need of saving if you don't Back Off, slut.' Melissa growled internally.
A dark menacing aura shrouded Momo, her frown deepening and her eyes narrowing dangerously.
Hagakure's reaction was, understandably, unreadable, yet Izuku froze and gulped as he heard the sounds of clenched fists cracking.
The two stared at each other, an awkward silence filling the room as Lorraine stared at Rogers like a cougar its prey. "R-Really, its not a big deal." The Captain humbly stuttered out.
"Tell that to their wives." Lorraine said as she got up and walked to Rogers.
Uraraka's eyes joined Kyouka's in glowing comically red, the armrests her hands gripped tightly starting to crack.
Asui's wide eyes looked blank, her mouth formed in a frown as she croaked angrily.
"U-Uh," Izuku stuttered out again as he crossed his arms nad looked up with a pensive look. "I don't think they were all married."
"You're a hero." She said as she stood in front of him.
"W-Well, t-that depends on the definition, really." He continued to stutter as he scratched his forehead nervously.
"The women of American," Lorraine whispered seductively, as she grabbed Izuku's tie. "They owe you their thanks." She lifted the frozen Izuku from the desk and behind a corner full of books and folders. "And uh... seeing as they are not here..."
Normally, Izuku Midoriya would have gone into overdrive stuttering and blushing mode at what he knew was about to occur, yet instead, the 9th holder of One For All paled drastically, a look of sheer dread and fear on his face. 'No no no no no no no!' Izuku mentally pleaded. 'Don't don't don't!'
She pulled the counterpart of Izuku Midoriya towards her and pressed her lips on his.
The guys practically felt the wave of hatred and jealousy that erupted from the girls, enough so that even an awoken Mineta wisely kept his mouth shut before he spewed on jealousy on Midoriya kissing another hot babe. The sheer waves were even enough to make even Bakugou sweat profusely and fear for his life. Mirio, Tamaki, and Kaminari scooted away from the silent, yet raging Nejire as sparks swirled around her. Kouta childishly covered his hands and gagged, while Eri glared at the lady, thinking that the lady was trying to make her Papa cheat on her possibly, likely, maybe Mama.
As for said probably, likely, maybe Mama, the girls of 1-B stared nervously at Setsuna, who's eyes were shadowed by her hair and her mouth in a small frown. Suddenly, the frown turned into a large smile, one, that after they saw the dark look of her eyes, was one that seemed almost maniacal. 'I'm going to kill this bitch.' Was Setsuna's only thought in her mind, her fists clenching so hard that cracks were heard.
As for 'Papa', Izuku was as pale as a sheet of paper. Hell, he felt that with the glares and auras the girls had directed at the woman, his other self, and himself, that he was going to be a shredded piece of paper. The green-haired teen also felt slightly violated by the woman's actions. Other than a kiss on the cheek, Izuku has never kissed, or been kissed, by a girl, and he was sure that was the same case for his other self given that they both already shared a bad history of bullying and lack of interested women. So to have his first kiss, even if it was his counterpart, to be taken away just like that, by some random woman without his consent felt wrong. Granted, its not like his counterpart needed his consent to do anything, including kissing someone, but Izuku found it rather upsetting that that first kiss didn't go to someone else, more preferably his fellow green-haired classmate from another class.
Setsuna, in a white dress shirt and black skirt, walked up and found the two as they kissed, glaring and frowning as she placed her hands on her hips.
If it was possible for Izuku to become paler and Setsuna wishing for the death of the woman more, then that was now.
"Uh oh." Sero said.
"Uh oh?" Kaminari questioned. "More like Duck for Cover!" Kaminari emphasized this by hiding behind Kirishima's seat.
Oh how Izuku wished to be able to do the same.
Before Lorraine should wrap her arms around Rogers's neck, Carter shouted "Captain!" The two broke their kiss, Izuku backing up quickly from Lorraine. "We're ready for you, if you're not otherwise occupied." Carter informed harshly before marching off.
"Oh yeah, she's pissed." Kosei said.
"Way to state the obvious." Kamakiri replied.
Izuku quickly wiped his mouth and rushed to Setsuna. "Agent Carter, wait." He said.
The girls felt a small bit of satisfaction in Izuku Rogers wiping his mouth free of that woman's lips.
"Looks like finding a partner wasn't that hard after all." Setsuna said as she continued walking with Izuku following her.
"I can feel just how cold that was." Hagakure shivered.
Izuku's eyes flinched, already feeling an enormous, unnecessary ton of guilt over the actions of somebody who isn't even really him.
"S-Setsuna, that's not what you thought it was." Izuku stuttered out again.
"That's a quarter in the cliche response jar." Hawks joked, a quarter out in display in his hand. Endeavor rolling his eyes in exasperation.
"I don't think anything, Captain, not one thing." Setsuna replied. "You always wanted to be a soldier, and now you are, just like all the rest."
"Okay I don't think Midoriya, of all people, would be anyway close to being someone like that Hodge guy." Itsuka said.
"Just let other me do her jealous tsundere thing, okay?" Setsuna retorted, quickly looking back at the screen, but not quick enough to blush embarrassed from the teasing looks of Itsuka and Ibarra.
While another jab of guilt hit his soul, Izuku couldn't help but remember and compare Carter's recent words with the words of Stain.
"There are countless False Heroes around here that are still alive." Stain said. "But I think you are different than these two."
Izuku was no fool not to realize that his counterpart's desire to become a soldier and fight for his country was a reflection of his desire to be a Hero and save people. And upon hearing Setsuna's counterpart call him like the rest of the soldiers, and in a un-complimentary way, felt to him so similar to Stain and his words about False Heroes and how he was acknowledged by the Hero Killer to be a True Hero, like All Might.
'But now, my other self just kissed another woman I barely even know.' Izuku thought. 'I acted no better than a horny, two-timing soldier. Like Mineta even. And even though my other self is a super soldier, stronger, faster, and smarter than other regular soldier, instead of fighting, I performed plays and shows like a dancing monkey for people's money. In a way, I'm no better than the type of Fake Heroes that the Hero Killer says.'
Unbeknownst to the self-doubting student, he wasn't the only one who noticed the similarity. If anything, Iida picked up on it more, he himself one of the very same people that the Hero Killer proclaimed a 'Fake Hero'. Iida looked over to Izuku, recognizing the look of doubt and uncertainty in his eyes and knew that it was the same as his. The Class Rep made a note to himself to talk with the green-haired teen after this was over.
"Well, what about you and Stark?" Izuku questioned back. "How do I know you two haven't been...fonduing?"
"Ooooh." Some of the guys and girls voiced, much to Izuku's embarrassment.
Setsuna raised her eyebrow at the retort of Rogers. "He doesn't know what fondue is, does he?" She asked.
"Likely not." Ibarra said.
Setsuna stopped and stared back at Rogers with an raised eyebrow. She rolled her eyes and continuing walking away. "You still don't know a bloody thing about women." She replied, leaving behind a confused Captain America.
"Does a man ever truly know?" Mic replied. "Figuring out about how women function or think is like on one of the greatest mysteries of li-AH!."
"I'm going to suggest that you stop right now before I have to teach you a lesson in learning when to shut your mouth, Yamada." Midnight said as she was pulling on Mic's ear painfully, her smile sweet yet her eyes promising pain.
"Wait what is fondue actually?" Izuku asked, scratching his head. "Is it some kind of relationship thing?"
Most of the group, primarily the students and some of the pros, either deadpanned at Izuku or comically fell to the ground. Aoyama facepalmed at his friend's lack of knowledge of cheese.
"Fondue is just cheese and bread, my friend." Masaru informed Izuku as they walked.
"Wait really?" Izuku questioned. "I thought-"
"Really?" He questioned. "I didn't think-"
Izuku quickly shut up as he blushed from his unintentionally copying of his own counterpart.
"Its like I'm watching a pair of mimes mime each other." Melissa said, deadpanning at Izuku. "Except their talking and don't even know it."
Cue group laughs, giggles, and Green Bean's growing embarrassed blush.
"Midoriya, I didn't know that you and other you are mimes." Mirio said with a growing smirk. "Why, I'm Speechless!"
The laughs and giggles grew silent and the group looked at the smiling member of the Big Three. Mirio looked around to see the students' stunned faces. "Why do they look so shocked?" Mirio asked Tamaki
"Its because you told an actual good joke." Tamaki answered. "They, including me, are just wondering if this is truly the end of times."
Mirio burst out in laughter, followed by the others.
"Nor should you, pal." Masaru interrupted him as they continued walking into a lab. "The moment you think you know what's goin' on in a woman's head, is the moment your goose is well and truly cooked."
"See?" Mic said as he gestured to the screen. "Ow!" Midnight replied by pulling is ear again, wordlessly.
Meanwhile, Kaminari was whispering to Izuku to write a note of Masaru's words for him and the guys for 'advice'.
"Me, I concentrate on work, which at the moment is about making sure you and your men do not get killed. "Masaru continued, as they walked up to long set of tables full of equipment.
"So in this world, Bakugou's father is like your personal Support Item inventor." Melissa said. "Sort of like me and Mei."
"Great, now I'm jealous of Explodey Boy's pops." Mei whispered under her breathe.
"Carbon polymer." He touched a piece of cloth. "Should withstand your average German bayonet. Although, Hydra's not going to attack you with a pocket knife." They moved onto the American flag-colored shield, now ruined with a bump in the shape of a fist from Red Skull. "I hear you're kind of attached." Masaru patted the shield.
"Its handier than you might think." Rogers explained himself.
"Considering it was useful knocking out a few Hydra thugs, I guess it is." Sero said.
"I took the liberty of coming up with some options." Masaru walked tot eh other side of another table, the two staring at a number of different shields varying of shape and design. "This one's fun."
Mei was practically ogling the various shields and sketching them in hyper fast speeds.
"She's been fitted with electrical relays that allow you to..." As Masaru droned on about the design, Izuku's eyes caught onto an object at the bottom of the table.
"What about this one?" He asked as he went to grab it.
"No, no, that's just a prototype." Masaru waved his hand as Izuku grabbed and brought the object up.
Izuku lifted the object and inspected it. It was a circular disk of shining metal 2 and a half feet in diameter, three lines formed into circles on the shield, forming three rings of circles that were smaller as they went down to the center and a smaller circle in the middle. On the back was a brown, leather strap.
Izuku's eyes lit up in curiosity, much the same to his counterpart.
"That looks kinda cool." Awase said. "Wonder what its made of?"
"How about we continue the video and find out, you car driver?!" Bakugou yelled out.
Awase's eyebrows twitched.
Mei once more wrote down the design of the shield quickly, making sure to get write up both the front and back of it.
"What's it made of?" Izuku said as he looked at it.
"Vibranium." Masaru answered.
"Vibranium?" Mina repeated confused. "What kind of metal is that?"
"I don't know." Momo replied, her own face full of confusion.
"Wait, I can by Mina, and even myself, not knowing every metal on the planet, but you, Yaomomo?" Kyouka said, her eyebrows raised high in surprise. "I thought you practically memorized the periodic table element for element."
"I did." Momo replied. "I'm confused because that name of that metal doesn't exist in periodic table."
"Wait, so this Vibranium is like a whole new element?" Uraraka asked. "Like the new element that Bakugou created?"
"Yeah." Melissa replied, rubbing her chin in curiosity. "But Bakugou created that in the 2000's while this was around in the 1940's, more than 70 years before Iron Man 2."
"Interesting." Nezu said. "Another completely new and foreign element only unique to this universe."
"As far as we know." David added.
Izuku spun it around to the back to the see the strap, it making a humming sound as he spun it. "Its stronger than steel and a third the weight." Masaru continued, while Izuku brought his arm up the strap and held it. "Its completely vibration absorbent."
Jaws went slack around the room, one by one.
"B-B-But t-that's scientifically impossible!" Iida managed to gasp out.
"How?" Hagakure asked. "Like I can get how something stronger yet lighter as steel is amazing, but I thought there were other stuff that is stronger than steel."
"Its true that there are metals that are stronger than steel, like Titanium and even natural materials like spider silk." Momo answered, her face full of shock and awe. "But that last part, completely vibration absorbent is what's impossible."
"And that's because..." Kaminari gestured for them to continue.
"Vibration absorbent means that it could absorb the shock and impact and kinetic force of an object completely." Izuku jumped in, his lit up eyes now dazzling in amazement. "If that shield is truly completely vibration absorbent, then if you shot it with a gun, it wouldn't just stop the bullet, it would make the bullet lose all momentum and force, reducing it to zero, and fall slack to the ground!"
"Even more amazing is that, real life vibration absorbers are both not fully absorbent and require extra machines like springs and pads." Melissa added, her own amazement matching Izuku's. "But since the thing is just the metal, that means its incredibly strong. Just how much metal is used in it?"
Nezu and David both grin like maniacs as they continued to hear more.
As Rogers held it with ease, he asked "How come its not standard issue?"
"Yeah, if that thing is as great as you guys are hyping it up to be, then how come everything isn't made out of that stuff?" Ojiro asked.
"That's the rarest metal on Earth." Stark replied. "What you're holding there, that's all we've got."
"Before you ask further, the shield rounds up to 12 pounds of Vibranium metal." F.R.I.D.A.Y. interrupted any further questions. "In the present timeline of the MCU, the 2000s-2020s, 1 gram of Vibranium costs up to 10,000 U.S. dollars, rounding the cost of the shield to be about 54,430,800 dollars in total."
If the group's jaws could go any further, then would have snapped off their mouths, as evident of Setsuna's jaw falling off her head.
"That round shield or whatever," Kaminari said numbly. "Is worth 54 MILLION BUCKS!"
Uraraka was looking at the shield like it was made of pure gold sent down from the gods.
'T-That would even make Mother and Father gape and say that's absurd.' Momo thought.
Mei and Melissa gained a newfound awe of the shield that Rogers was holding, praying that they could get the schematics and blueprints to make both Vibranium and the element that Stark made.
"Sorry to interrupt again, but I have a response to your thoughts from before Nezu and David Shield." F.R.I.D.A.Y. spoke up again.
"About whether this Vibranium is also exclusive to this world like the newly created element?" David said.
"Yes." FRIDAY replied. "And the answer is it isn't. The element does in fact exist in your universe."
Eyes were raised once more in shock. The inventor duo's eyes lit up.
"But how?" Power Loader asked. "There has been no sighting of Vibranium in our world for millennia. How can it exist?"
"At this moment, I cannot verify to you the full details of the origin of Vibranium." F.R.I.D.A.Y. said. "However, I can hint that you are correct that the metal has no historical sighting and record, on Earth."
The students and pros were confused, only for Nezu to smile. "It is an alien metal, isn't it." Nezu said, drawing the group's attention. "It exists in our universe but its existence is extraterrestrial in origin and not a native metal to Earth."
"I cannot confirm or deny it." F.R.I.D.A.Y. replied, mirth in her voice, much to Nezu's chuckle of amusement.
"You quite finished, Mr. Stark?" Setsuna asked as she walked in to them. "I'm sure the Captain has some unfinished business."
"Harsh." Honenuki hissed.
Izuku flinched.
"What do you think?" Rogers held the shield up in front of him.
Carter was silent before she went and grabbed a gun on the table beside her. She raised the gun towards him, Rogers quickly brought the shield up as the agent fired, the bullets raining on the shield, a metallic hum sounding as they hit the shield.
"THE HELL?!" Was the main response of the group, along with wide, horrified and shocked eyes, agape mouths, and confused and shocked facial expressions.
Setsuna herself was shocked at her other self's actions. She may have been just as pissed, if not lesser considering she saw the whole interaction and knew it was a misunderstanding, but not pissed enough to just wordlessly fire on Izuku in her anger, even if he had a shield in his arms blocking the bullets. Hearing her thoughts aloud in her head, the greenette admitted that perhaps that was a likely response.
The girls, coupled with their shock, were also rather pissed at Setsuna's counterpart to just rain fire onto him like nothing. They then pondered in retrospect if they would have done the same, oblivious to the circumstances if they saw Izuku making out with someone. Their answer came to a mix of maybe to possibly to definitely.
Izuku paled drastically, a mental image occurring of Setsuna, or any of the other girls, firing guns of their own, or, worse, their Quirks, at him. Izuku hoped and prayed to whatever deity or multi-dimensional entity that is watching over them would give him a shield of his own when that nightmare scenario comes.
Instead of ricocheting or indenting the metal, the bullets fell to the ground slack, as if they lost all momentum, the shield itself still looking pristine and unscratched.
Cue eyes widening and jaws widening again.
"Its like there was no scratch on it." Mei gasped out, her alit eyes zooming onto the shield where the bullets impacted. "Its almost like they didn't hit it at all."
"Oh they did." Kyouka said, rubbing her ears. "That metal hum whenever they hit it was clear on that. It was almost magical in how it hummed really."
As Carter stopped firing, Rogers and Stark raised their heads and wide eyes from their hiding places, Rogers from behind the shield and Stark from under the table. Setsuna stared at Izuku and said "Yes, I think it works." She set the gun down and continued to walk past them, as if nothing happened.
Izuku and Masaru stared in agape and stupefied faces as she walked off. "I had some ideas about the uniform." Izuku said, pulling out a piece of paper from his pocket without so much as blinking or looking away.
"Whatever you want, pal." Masaru nodded, also unblinking and without looking away, as he took the paper.
"PffftAHAHAHAHAHA!" Miruko burst out laughing. "Oh their looks are Priceless!"
"Reminds me a bit of some of my fights with some Villains and the agape jaws of some guys in the crowds." Mount Lady said.
"And it looks like those two aren't the only ones who look like that." Midnight said, pointing towards the boys.
The guys were all standing as frozen as the two men on screen, even Mineta and Kaminari were for once mute and instead staring wide eyed and jaw dropped. As for Cap's counterpart, Izuku was the same, a large blush on his face, a tiny drop of blood leaking from his nose, and only one ultra intelligent response escaping his mouth: "Uuuuuuuhhhhh..."
This served to make the rest of group laugh their assess off, a flare of jealousy from the girls, and a victory smirk from Tokage.
Dramatic music played, a shotgun was placed onto a motorcycle, a handgun cocked and placed into a holster, and, finally, Izuku brought up the shield onto his back, the shield now painted in a similar American theme to the first shield, this one painted in a red circle around the edge, a white one around the middle circle, another red in the last circle before a blue circle with a white star in the middle.
Izuku stared wide-eyed at the now painted shield. 'Its the disk-er shield- from the end credits!' Izuku thought. 'Does that mean that...'
The scene changed to Captain America smashing a door opened to reveal himself, in a new outfit, firing on an unseen enemy with his handgun and his shield on his left arm. His outfit was a more darker and armored looking version to his original suit. The top half of the chest was still blue with a white star in the middle while the lower half was still white and red, now with armor on his pecs and straps attached and around his person. His arms were clothed in blue around the shoulders, white on the rest of the arm and with red gloves and armored straps around his shoulders and sides of his chest, while his legs were a dark blue with armored pads and boots. The belt around his waist darker with pockets and a holster to his side for the handgun in his hand. His helmet too changed, now more smooth and armored, it still blue and white a white on the forehead, with now white wings painted on the sides and strapped around his jaw with a leather strap.
The students cheered at Izuku's new outfit. The guys nodded in approval, with typical reactions from Kirishima and Tetsutetsu's 'Manly' declarations and others like Kaminari and Sen say that Midoriya looked 'badass'. Shoto smiled, both from his friend coming to his own and his conspiracy theorist head once again trying to tie the knots of his Dad-Might Theory, finding Midoriya's suit to have a similar red, white, and blue to All Might's costumes. Bakugou scoffed and made a comment about his mask making him look ridiculous, though the guys could see that he had a smirk or two sneak out of his façade.
The pros too nodded in approval. Edgeshot commented how this new suit was clearly more armored, yet retains the flashiness of his old suit to inspire others, Kamui backing his teammate up by saying that he portrayed a striking blend of Hero and soldier. All Might could not agree more, smiling in pride at his successor's alternate self, wondering, and hoping, to see the day that he can witness the debut of Deku, the new future Symbol of Peace. Aizawa nodded pleased, as well as Gran Torino, David Shield, and Nezu. Some of them, including Endeavor, were concerned about the gun, but quickly understood that this was a time of war and a necessity. One would also find the large smiles and lust-filled eyes of Pixie Bob, Midnight, and even Mount Lady obvious enough, finding the older, more muscular, alternate Midoriya to look quite intimidating, yet handsome in his suit. Miruko even smiled largely and once more wondered how their own Midoriya would turn out when he went pro, the rabbit-themed Hero licking her lips in anticipation.
Most of the girls of 1-B nodded as well in approval and and clapped for their classmate from 1-A. Pony liked especially the helmet and the painted wings on the side and the new look of the shield, wanting to salute the American Hero. As for Eri, a memory clicked in her brain as she saw the American colored shield, recalling seeing a incomplete copy of it in Iron Man 2 and the whole thing at the final end credit scene of the same movie. Her mind then wondered back to that same scene and the around a block of ice saying that someone was alive. The white-haired girl was confused, wondering if that man was somehow Papa, but then wondering, and worrying, why Papa would be in a block of ice in the first place.
And finally, to the rest of girls...well their reactions should be obvious enough. Mina and Hagakure drooled at how tight and form fitting the suit was and how cool it was. Mei liked the more armored, upgraded suit, feeling incredibly jealous that she, or her counterpart, didn't make the outfit herself. And get the bonus points of feeling up this older, slightly more hunkier Midoriya for 'measurements'. Nejire cheered loudly, smiling brightly at how cool he looked, with multiple questions flooding through her mind, including 'How does it feel? Does it feel tight? Secure? How does holding the shield feel? Can I hold it?' and lastly 'Can you hold me instead?' Kyouka smirked, blushing slightly at how badass Midoriya looked while Asui croaked happily, her cheeks to brightening up. Momo felt her heart nearly swoon at how heroic Izuku looked, a sentiment shared by Uraraka, the two doing their best to keep their fangirling, and heavy blushes, inwards, succeeding with the former. Not so much on the latter. Melissa smiled brightly, eyes shining, almost mistaking Deku for All Might by how heroic, cool, and similar the two looked, and additionally liking the paintjob of the shield and hoping, if they can somehow create or find some Vibranium, if she can gift her crush with a shield of his own. Setsuna had a large smile on her face, cheering loudly, and unafraid, of how awesome and cool her crush was looking, inwardly hoping that they can convince Green Bean to put on a cosplay of his other self, almost drooling at the mental image of Izuku in a Captain America suit with green lightning spouting off of him.
Izuku, meanwhile, smiled brightly as well at seeing just how cool he looked, a statement of himself that he never thought he would make in a long while. He put his concerns and thoughts from before aside and turned his focus to the cheers and pats on the back from Mirio and the rest of the guys, the words of approval from the pros, Eri's and Kouta's bright smiles and enthusiasm, and the reactions from the girls, oddly finding their opinions to be ones that he valued greatly. He was pleased to see that they were positive.
By his side were the men he recruited, along with Shoto, who was also clothed in a new outfit of his own, shooting alongside Cap. Shoto's outfit was a dark, navy blue, armored leather jacket with a popped collar, brown leather belt on his waist, black pants, and dark red wings on his arms.
"Looking cool there, Todoroki." Tetsutetsu smirked. "That suit with that gun looks Manly!"
"Yeah, it almost looks like your own Hero suit, especially its color scheme." Izuku jumped in with his fanboy enthusiasm. "Only it looks more armored, obviously, and with a jacket for better weather, since he doesn't have your normal resistance to cold."
"Thanks." Todoroki nodded and smiled.
"He looks cute." Pony whispered to Yanagi. "Think he's single?"
"Probably." Reiko replied. "Although I heard that he was spending some time chatting with a girl from Shiketsu."
"Oh poop." Pony pouted in a slump. "Think he's okay with more than one girl? His other self seemed to think so."
Hawks and All Might chuckled to see the proud look on Endeavor's face, especially the proud, fatherly tears pouring down his eyes he tried to hide.
"Looks like Midobro got himself a squad of his own." Kirishima said. "But what do we call them? The Dekusquad?"
"Nah, Rogers doesn't have a Bakugou to call him that." Sero said. "How about the Star-Spangled Men?"
"The Wings of Freedom." Tokoyami proposed.
"Actually, they do have a team name in universe." F.R.I.D.A.Y. revealed. "They are called the Howling Commandoes."
"Hmm, catchy." Hawks nodded in agreement. "Hopefully we don't see them taking their name to heart and go commando."
The girls begged to disagree, or at least wouldn't mind to see their leader do so.
A series of montages played of Captain America fighting against Hydra. The first showed Izuku smacking away Hydra goons with his shield, Falsworth shooting towards an enemy while Dugan and the rest of the Howling Commandoes rushing out of the Hydra base, and Izuku riding out of the base on a motorcycle as it exploded behind him.
"Awesome!" Uraraka cheered, fists pumped into the air. "He's kicking those Hydra guy's butts!"
"He uses that shield both defensively and also offensively to knock away enemies." Asui analyzed. "With a shield that strong and durable, it can definitely pack a punch."
"He has a motorcycle?!" Itsuka exclaimed excited. "Cool! I love motorcycles!"
"We know, Kendo." Setsuna smirked. "You have as many bike posters in your room as your martial arts stuff."
The 1-B girls giggled while Itsuka blushed embarrassed.
"Hey! There's no need to be embarrassed about, Kendo!" Tetsutetsu yelled out. "Motorcycles are Super cool and Manly! There's no need to be embarrassed about something you love!"
Itsuka only blushed further to Tetstu's praise, and the further giggling of her fellow girl friends.
Izuku looked back and smiled as he rode off from the destroyed ruins of the Hydra base. It shifted to Red Skull driving and stopping towards the burning wreckage of his base, growling with a snarl on his face. Back at the Allied base, they removed one of the Hydra facility figurines and gave it to Carter who placed it in a box with a number of other destroyed Hydra bases.
"The primary goals is to find and destroy all the Hydra bases one by one." Aizawa deduced. "From the looks of things of that box, they seem to have already destroyed quite a number. Good."
All Might and Gran Torino flinched once more at seeing the disfigured look of their mentor's/friend's grandson.
Izuku, the Howling Commandoes, and a group of soldiers walked down a snowy forest, a thick cloud of mist around them as they slowly advanced. Izuku raised his hand gestured them to advance, before stopping, turning around, and quickly tossing his shield upwards, the metal disk zooming with a metal hum towards his target, a Hydra goon hiding in the trees. The shield slammed into the man, who fell to the ground while the shield sailed back to the Captain, grabbing it with ease and sliding his arm back into the strap.
"Oh my god, that Awesome!" Kirishima cheered. "The way he threw that shield was so Manly!"
"With its circular shape and its light weight, Izuku can clearly throw the shield like a frisbee and with enough force to knock away enemies easily." Momo analyzed. "And with its also great defense and offensive hand-to-hand combat abilities, its the perfect weapon."
"Heh, kinda reminds me of Crust and how he uses his Shield Quirk." Miruko chuckled. "Huh, wonder if he might take an interest in teaching our Midoriya how to toss a shield around?"
"If he were to see this and if Midoriya has a shield of his own, then I'm sure he would be delighted to." Ryukyu replied.
"He used his enhanced senses and eyesight to hear and spot that Hydra guy in a thick mist." Hawks said. "Not bad."
Izuku blushed embarrassed under the wave of compliments.
The montage continued with a jeep exploding, Captain America running with his shield and handgun raised towards the enemy as explosions burst around him. Dugan rushed by his side with a shotgun in hand and Gabriel with a machine gun firing on the enemy. Another showed a Hydra tank going down a road, Morita spotting them and whistling in warning. The rest of the group watched as Frenchie rushed towards the tank from the forest, as the Frenchmen quickly rolled onto the ground, ducking under the passing tank as he placed a bomb on its underside, and got up and covered his ears as the tank drove away and exploded in flames. Frenchie smiled and clapped as he turned to his team, Cap and Bucky smiling while Dugan laughed pleased.
"They're also showing the other Howling Commandoes and their own efforts in the war as well." All Might said, before whispering to Gran Torino with "It could help us figure out more of them and their counterparts."
"The kid did say that that bald guy who had Black Whip was loud and energetic." Gran Torino said. "Seems like that Dugan guy he's counterparts with is the same from what I see."
The montage shifted to Phillips and Setsuna watching a footage of the Howling Commandoes, Bucky, and Cap riding a jeep. Cap took out his compass and pointed to a spot on the map in front of him, the camera moving towards a picture of Setsuna in the top part of the compass.
The guys laughed and whistled teasingly at Midoriya with such phrases like 'You dog!' that left the green-haired teen blushing and desperately trying to explain himself, or rather his other self. The girls, however, grew a dark cloud of jealousy over their heads, with Setsuna to shrink under their glares and the teasing smiles of her fellow 1-B girls.
"Ah, young love." Midnight held herself and shivered. "So sweet and stimulating!"
Aizawa's eyes twitched and considered choking himself out with his scarf to avoid any further listening to Kayama's peverted shenanigans. He decided against it, barely.
Noticing, Cap quickly closed the compass and buried it in his pocket, while Phillips looked to Setsuna amused while said agent simply looked on with surprise eyes and a quickly forming smile.
Setsuna, despite the teasing stares and glares, too smiled warmly, an action likewise mirrored by Izuku.
It shifted again to a scope set on Izuku as he walked through a wreckage of buildings, before zooming up to see a Hydra soldier, hiding and aiming at him. Quickly, Shoto, the sniper fired, the Hydra goon falling down dead. Izuku looked to his best friend and partner and saluted towards him in thanks.
Midoriya and Todoroki shared another fist bump in thanks.
"It appears that much like our own world, Todoroki's counterpart seems to be adept in long-ranged attacks." Tokoyami pointed out. "Though with far more precision based attacks."
Endeavor hummed at Tokoyami's words and considered adding precision to be another aspect that he might need to focus on in Shoto's training. 'Learning to be more accurate and concise with both his ice and fire attacks would be useful and less likely to commit property damage and overexert his limits.' Endeavor thought. 'Better an accurate and affective fireball or icicle than a glacier or wildfire destroying someone's car that was in the way.'
Setsuna, at base, removed another Hydra base flag, as a montage of Captain America was shown jumping, defending, attacking, and throwing his shield towards the screen. Cap jumped onto a the top of a large vehicle, slamming down his shield and broke the latch of the top entrance, before quickly grabbing the Hydra driver and tossing him away. Falsworth tossed over Cap a strap full of explosives, to which Izuku grabbed and chucked down into the hole. Captain America jumped off the vehicle, now shown to be a tank five stories tall, as it exploded in flames behind him.
At the sight of the large, building size tank, the eyes of the group widened, mouths agape at the sheer size of the machine only to cheer out as Izuku destroyed the building sized machine and escaped looking like a superhero straight out of a comic, or at least that's how Kouta said it looked like.
"You are FAILING!" Red Skull roared, he and Doctor Garaki standing and walking amidst the ruins of yet another Hydra base. "We are close to an offensive that will shake the planet, yet we are continually delayed, because you cannot outwit a Simpleton with a Shield!"
"Yeah, now that I think about it, it is a little weird how an entire army of soldiers with disintegration guns can be destroyed by one super-buff dude with a shield." Sero said.
"Hey, its not just me, its also Todoroki and the Howling Commandoes that are helping me." Izuku disagreed. "My other self was caught off guard and was almost shot if it wasn't for Todoroki. And the other soldiers also helped in taking down Hydra guys like giving me those explosives to destroy that tank."
The group chuckled amused at Deku's selfless and humble nature, giving the credit to where it was due.
"This is hardly my area of expertise." Garaki argued back. "I merely developed the weapons. I-I cannot fire them."
"He speaks the truth." Edgeshot said. "Much like a weapon, a Quirk is only as strong, useful, and heroic as its wielder. A person's character, their resilience, training, and resourcefulness, these are the essentials that one must have to be a pro and for their Quirks to be truly strong."
The students nodded at the pro's wisdom. Kirishima was grinning and nodding, remembering his doubts over his Quirk and how it wasn't exactly something flashy or useful at first, but thanks to his resilience, training, and the encouraging words of his idol and his friends, his Quirk and himself have truly grown to be truly strong and manly. Meanwhile, Bakugou and Todoroki couldn't help but flinch. The latter remembered how he refused to use his left side and was only snapped out of his foolishness by Midoriya and the memories of his mother, and now truly embracing the two aspects of his Quirk as his power, not his father's and working to be the kind of Hero he wants to be. The former, however, had no issues with his Quirk, on whether it was useful and flashy or looking at it with distaste, instead Edgeshot's words cut into Bakugou, the issue with him not the Quirk but the man. Before the memories of the past started flooding his mind again, he shook it off and focused back on the movie. His personal issues can be left for later.
"Finish your mission, Doctor," Red Skull warned, looming over Garaki menacingly. "Before the American, finishes his."
"Sir!" The two's attention was drawn over to a man covered in soot and dirt, escorted by two Hydra soldiers. "I'm sorry, Herr Schmidt. We fought to the last man."
"I think I now where this is going." Mount Lady frowned.
"Yeah, wrong choice of words there, dude." Hawks nodded.
Garaki sighed and turned away as Red Skull pulled out a handgun from his belt and aimed at the man. "Evidently not." Red Skull retorted as he fired.
The group either flinched in the unfortunate fate of the man or frowned at the willingness and casualness of the Hydra leader to murder his own men. All Might frowned, thinking how the Red Skull's counterpart very likely would do the same with his own comrades and once more cursing All For One to the pits of Hell.
The scene changed to the team on a snowy cliff, Falsworth looking down at a train track with a pair of binoculars. Izuku stood at the edge, his helmet removed, while a wire was latched between the mountain behind them and mountain in front of them, the wire overhead of the tracks. Morita and Jones listened onto an acquired Hydra radio while Bucky walked up to Cap.
"What's with the wire?" Awase asked. "Are they going to zipline down onto a train?"
"Maybe its a Hydra train." Sen replied. "It could be a train carrying those parts of the Valkyrie thing they are working on."
"See that radio that they are listening to?" Thirteen pointed out. "No doubt with that Hydra insignia on it, its a stolen Hydra radio to listen in on their communications, a wise move to know your enemy's moves and catch them by surprise."
"Remember when I made you ride the Cyclone at Coney Island?" Shoto asked.
"Yeah, and I threw up?" Izuku asked back.
"This isn't payback, is it?" Bucky questioned again.
"Now why would I do that?" Rogers questioned back smirking.
"Aw, more cute Midoriya and Todoroki best friends stuff." Mina cooed. "Its so adorable."
Izuku sighed in embarrassment while Todoroki raised an eyebrow, confused on why such an interaction between friends would be considered adorable to the pink-skinned girl.
"We were right." The two turned back to listen to Jones. "Dr. Zola's on the train. Hydra dispatcher gave him the permission to open up the throttle. Wherever he's going, they must need him bad."
"So their plan is zipline to the train that Dr. Zola is on and to capture him." Iida said.
"A smart move." Vlad King said. "Dr. Zola appears to be the leading scientist on those weapons and Schmidt's second in command. Capturing him would be a great blow against Hydra's plans to make more weapons and whatever this Valkyrie thing is."
Izuku quickly put on his helmet, while the rest got ready and Falsworth looked back towards the tracks. The British man looked to see the train coming down the tracks and heading to them fast.
"Let's get going, because they're moving like the Devil." Falsworth voiced.
Izuku strapped a zipline hanger onto the wire. "We've only got about a 10-second window." Izuku warned. "You miss that window, we're bugs on a windshield."
"That's quite a short window." Ibarra noted.
"Catching up to a train moving a high speeds isn't exactly an easy thing to do." Itsuka replied. "But they'll be fine. He's got his lucky girl's picture with him."
Setsuna's eyes twitched and cheeks heated at Itsuka's teasing. "Shut up." She grumbled.
"Mind the gap." Falsworth warned.
"Better get moving, bugs!" Dugan shouted.
"Heh, I'm starting to like this Dugan guy more and more." Bakugou chuckled.
"Jee, I wonder why?" Kyouka asked sarcastically.
The team waited before Frenchie gave the signal in French. Izuku quickly set off, sliding down the zipline towards the tracks and the rapidly moving train coming up behind him. He was quickly accompanied by Bucky and Gabriel. As they neared the tracks, the train came up, the three dropping and landing on the top of the highspeed train. The three quickly ran down the top of the train before Cap found a ladder and climbed down on it, Bucky standing by the top of the ladder, and Jones cocking his weapon in ready.
Suddenly, the girls felt an uneasy feeling of fear and dread stir inside them, feeling like something is going to go wrong.
"I have a bad feeling about this." Uraraka muttered.
"Same." Melissa agreed, her hands already inching towards Izuku's hand.
The door to the train opened, Izuku and Shoto getting inside, Barnes closing the door behind him. The two walked slowly down the train compartment they were in, full of weapons and and the likes and down towards the other end. Izuku looked back before going through the doors to the next train compartment, only for both doors to suddenly close, leaving Shoto trapped behind on the other compartment and Izuku.
"Oh no!" Hagakure cried out in worry.
"Its a trap!" Kaminari yelled/memed.
Shoto looked behind him and quickly open fire on the Hydra goon behind him. Izuku looked back in shock before looking back towards his front, a large, armored, Hydra soldier on the other end of the compartment. He fired his handgun before ducking and taking cover behind a pile of boxes. At the front car of the train, Garaki watched through a monitor. "Stop him! Fire again!" He ordered.
"Divide and conquer." Jurota said. "An effective strategy against most groups."
"Nah, they'll be fine." Honenuki replied. "They destroyed all those other factories. A train with some guys on it won't be any different."
Shihai grumbled, feeling like his skull-faced classmate may have just jinxed them.
With Shoto, he quickly fired on another Hydra goon, taking the man out before ducking behind a pile of boxes from the second and third Hydra goon's bullets. He quickly got up and fired back at the two, one hiding and peeking from the right side of the shelves of weapons, and the other on the left. He fired on the two two more times from different angles.
"Kids good." Snipe said. "Firing on multiple angles to both pin them down and to land a shot."
"Technically, wouldn't he be a kid." Cementoss responded. "He's likely in his early to mid 20's."
"Is that really what we should be discussing?" Thirteen asked.
With Izuku, he fired his handgun again before ducking under two large blasts from the large Hydra soldier. Just as the guns started reading to fire again, Izuku ran, jumped, and hung onto a hook attached to the roof of the compartment and started riding it towards the Hydra soldier. The Hydra soldier fired again, Rogers shielding the blast with his shield, and slammed his feet onto the Hydra soldier, knocking the man to the floor. The Hydra soldier struggled to get up, only for Rogers to slam his shield into his face and knocking him out.
"Wait, if he could block those blasts as well with the shield then why hide at all?" Kirishima asked.
"Maybe he never blocked one of those energy blasts with the shield before?" Tetsutetsu theorized.
"He would have come in contact with those energy blasts before since they were raiding Hydra facilities." Tamaki answered. "Its likely that he has never faced a larger armored and powered Hydra soldier, so he was being cautious."
"Plus, when he was sliding towards the guy, he was hiding most of his body behind the shield from the blast giving him more protection." Mirio jumped in. "As we saw, if you get tagged with even one of those blasts, you're done, and the guy could always have fired on his unprotected legs."
"Either way, nice job and beating that big guy 'Zuzu!" Nejire cheered.
"T-Thanks." Izuku blushed.
Back with Shoto, the remaining Hydra goon was creeping up from the left of the shelves. Shoto, his own handgun ready, got out from his hidey hole and fired on the man before ducking behind the stack of boxes on the left side.
Endeavor gripped his arm hard, anxiousness and worry filling his body.
Izuku raised the unconscious Hydra soldier's arm and fired a blast of blue energy towards the door, easily destroying it. Cap ran to the door while Garaki watched with terrified eyes. Shoto was in the middle of a back and forth of firing on the Hydra goon, who took cover, before ducking under cover himself as the Hydra goon fired back. Izuku got to the door and watched this interaction, just as Shoto ran out of bullet on his gun.
"Oh no, he's out of ammo." Pony said worryingly.
"Come on Greenie, go and help your best bro out." Setsuna cheered.
Izuku squeezed to the side of the door, pulling out his handgun, and tapping the door to open. It opened to gunfire scratching the door's side, Barnes looking up to see Rogers gesturing his gun. The Captain tossed it to Bucky, before rushing in and slamming a long black box on the shelf to it end. The Hydra goon swerved to his right to dodge the box coming for him, only for Bucky to fire on him with the handgun and shoot him dead.
"Whoo!" Uraraka cheered. "That was some good teamwork you guys!"
"With Midoriya joining the fight, the Hydra soldier had his focus shifted on two foes instead of one, giving him a disadvantage." Iida analyzed the fight. "Midoriya then created pushed the boxes to draw the Hydra soldier out of cover so that Todoroki could finish him off once he was out of his cover. Impressive teamwork."
"I had him on the ropes." Shoto said.
"I know you did." Izuku replied.
"Nothing like calling back the past with irony after you finish killing evil Nazis." Kaminari smirked.
Izuku and Todoroki smiled and nodded at each other. Endeavor and All Might too smiled in relief.
The two heard the charge of a Hydra weapon and turned to see the formerly unconscious, large Hydra soldier was by the door and aiming at the two.
"OH NO!" Pony yelled.
"LOOK OUT!" Uraraka yelled.
"SHOTO/IZUKU!" Endeavor and All Might shouted.
"Get Down!" Cap shouted as he raised his shield and rushed to cover Bucky just as the Hydra soldier fired. The large blast slammed into the shield, both sending the super soldier down to the ground from the force and the blast to ricochet and slam into the side of the train, it exploding open, its side hanging out into the open.
"Oh no." Mina said in worry.
Melissa's hand lunged and latched onto Deku's hand, Eri and Kouta doing the same as their faces scrunched in worry.
"Fire again!" Garaki ordered.
Shoto got up, the shield in front of him, while Izuku was on the other side of the train struggling to get back up. "Kill him! Now!" Garaki's voice sounded through the train's speakers.
"No no no no no no." Izuku muttered in worry and growing horror.
Todoroki gritted his teeth.
Bucky grabbed the shield and brought it up, firing on the Hydra soldier. The Hydra soldier fired again, the blast hitting the shield head on, yet once again sent Shoto flying and slamming into the open, hanging side of the train.
"NO!" Izuku and his classmates yelled.
"SHOTO!" Endeavor yelled, trying to stand up only quickly be restrained by Aizawa, keeping his gaze and his Quirk trained on Endeavor despite his own desire to look at the screen.
Izuku growled and grabbed the fallen shield and hurled it at the Hydra soldier, it slamming into him and sending him to the ground in a slump. Izuku rushed to the hanging side of the train and removed his helmet. "Bucky!" Izuku yelled, looking to see Shoto hanging on the side by the pipe.
"Oh thank god." Momo gasped out as a hand squeezed tight near her heart in worry. "Please, Izuku get him."
"This doesn't look good." Kyouka frowned and gritted her teeth.
Todoroki gritted his teeth again, cursing his other self for getting himself in this mess.
"Just Hang On You Half and Half Bastard Or I'll Kill You Myself!" Bakugou roared out his worry, in his own way.
Izuku quickly shimmied over to him by the other pipe and Shoto the same. "Hang on!" Izuku yelled as he shimmed closer to him.
"Go Midrobro! Go!" Kirishima chanted.
"Come on, come on, come on." Izuku muttered/begged, wishing that his other self could shoot out Black Whip to grab Todoroki. Coincidentally, Black Whip was starting to ooze out of his arm again.
Eri started to whimper in worry of her 'Uncle Shoto', Kouta wasn't doing any better either.
"Izuku!" Shoto yelled out, his hand slipping off before grabbing on again.
"Shit!" Todoroki cursed.
Iida gritted his teeth, likewise furious and worried, cursing that he can't somehow travel their and grab Todoroki somehow.
"Grab my Hand!" Izuku extended his hand out towards his friend.
Endeavor struggled against his bonds, growling in fury while Aizawa's eyes grew redder and narrower, gritting his teeth in fury as the heard all that was occurring.
'Come on Come on.' Izuku's thoughts raged, memories of Nighteye, his fatal injury, and his death flashing in his mind. 'Not again. Don't fail like that again. Just save him, you useless bastard!'
'Come on Come on!' Endeavor's thoughts raged as well, his own memories of Touya, his tearful face, the inferno where they trained and his death flashing before his eyes. 'Not again. You stupid universe! Don't let me lose another of my children!'
The pipe Shoto hanged on from started to crack and break off.
"No No No No No No!" Momo cried out in horror, eyes starting well up in tears.
"NO!" Pony yelled.
Mirio's eyes widened and quickly lunged towards Kouta and Eri, shielding them from the screen with a large hug.
Bakugou's widened in horrified realization.
Todoroki's eyes began to widen.
Endeavor's raging face started shifting into horror, All Might and his fellow teacher's following suit.
Izuku was about to lunge towards the screen himself only to be grabbed and pulled back by Melissa and Uraraka. Izuku's eyes widened in horror, his left hand reaching out, just as Black Whip started to form.
"NO!" Izuku yelled as tried to lung forward, only for the pipe to break.
"NO!" Izuku and Endeavor yelled in horror as they saw Shoto, counterpart or not, fall to his death.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Shoto screamed as he fell, his body sailing down and away, before he was gone.
A heavy silence hung around the room. Tears and whimpers escaped the more emotional students, a whimpering Pony was comforted by sadden Reiko and equally sad Kinoko. Itsuka slumped in her in shocked horror, Ibarra's hands clasped around her mouth, trying to contain her horrified gasp, and even ever stoic Yui looked down in sadness.
With the guys, their reactions were a mix of silent shock, anger, and horror. Kirishima fists clenched hard, his shark-like teeth gritting so hard, they can hear it grating against each other while Tetsutetsu's face was full of fury, punching his armrest with his metal arm cursing 'Dammit! Dammit!' over and over. The rest of 1-B were in stunned silence with even Monoma in shock and horror. Kamakiri growled with venom, cursing Hydra, while Shinsou looked at the screen in shock. Sero and Mineta slumped in their seats horrified, Shoji, Ojiro, Aoyama, Tokoyami lowered their heads in silence, Dark Shadow growling with venom beside Tokoyami, Sato gritted his teeth, fists clenched, and Koda covered his horrified face in his hands and yellow electricity sparked from Kaminari's body, the blonde fuming in anger.
Iida was silent and in shock before his his body started to shake in pure anger, his teeth gritting and fists clenched, growling in anger as the mirror look-alike of his dear friend of his who saved his life, fell to his death and he couldn't do anything. Bakugou was also fuming in anger after a brief period of silence, stomping his foot and exploding his armrest in a short release of anger.
The teachers and pros were angry as well thought carried their reactions with more silently. All Might slumped in his seat, hands over his face in both horror at seeing the counterpart of one of his students dying in front of him, shame filling his soul at inaction, even if the former pro knew he couldn't do anything, that didn't stop him from feeling useless. Most of the teachers were silent, heads lowered in silence, with Snipe removing his hat and placing it over his chest and Hound Dog being the exception as he growled and raged. Mic removed his shades and rubbed his eyes with his fingers while Midnight, beside him, slumped in her seat and slammed her head back on seat angry, and Vlad placed a hand over his face and sighed. Eraser was silent, yet his raised hair, furious frown and venom-filled glare was evident of how the 1-A homeroom teacher felt. Nezu was silent in is seat, a frown in his face and, if you looked closely in his black, animal eyes, they was well-hidden fury deep in them.
With the pros, Miruko's eyes narrowed and glared at the screen growling in anger, Ryukyu lowered her head, memories of her own share of dead heroes and comrades, including Nighteye, flashing in her mind. Mount lady scowled and gritted her teeth yet remained silent, while Kamui Woods and Death Arms lowered their heads in silence. Fatgum growled in anger yet remained silent as well, with Edgeshot following suit, his hands clasped together and bowed in honor of Shoto Barnes. The Wild Wild Pussycats lowered their heads silently as well, Mandalay's fist clenched tightly, Pixie Bob growling, Tiger gripping his arms tightly as well, and Ragdoll's usual happy eyes saddened. Tsukauchi took of his hat and placed it over his heart in condolences, while David Shield and Gran Torino sighed sadly at such a horrible fate for such a young, promising lad from another world. Hawks sighed sadly as well yet looked towards his idol and his reaction. What he saw he fully expected to see from the new Number 1.
Endeavor went deadly quiet, shadows over his eyes, and his flames all gone out, a deep frown on his face. With the capture scarf no longer holding him, the Number 1 Pro silently got up from his seat and walked down the steps and out of them gym. They were not surprised to hear a fury filled roar and the sounds of roaring flames exploding forth.
Uraraka and Asui hugged each other, Uravity's fists clenched tightly while Asui croaked sadly and angrily. Mei lowered her head, her usual happy eyes dulled sad. The group couldn't make out Hagakure's reaction but they could hear the sounds of her sniffles and sobbing. Momo covered her tearing face with her hands and leaned on Kyouka, who wrapped her arms around the Yaoyorozo heiress, a sad frown on her face. A sobbing, sad Nejire was comforted by Tamaki, the nearest person she could cling towards, who patted the girl's head, a sad frown on his face as well. Mirio held a equal sad frown on his own face, Nighteye's death flashing before his eyes again, but he focused on comforting and easing the crying sobs of Eri and Kouta. Melissa was staring at the horrified and in tears. She turned to look at Deku and flinched at what she saw.
Setsuna stared slack jawed and horrified at the screen, quickly looking down to see Izuku and also flinched. If the boy was angry after Dr. Erskine's death, then he was downright Furious! The green bio-electricity was like a storm cloud around him, emphasized with him once again floating an inch from his seat, and Black Whip swirling around his body, some of it even spiking up as if he was wearing spiked, black armor. His arm rests were reduced to rubble by his clenched fists, his hair stood up and almost glowing ethereal-like, and the pure anger, hatred, and tears that spewed from his shrunken pupil eyes seemed monstrous as if she and the rest were looking at the eyes of Rage Incarnate
Once more the storm that was Izuku was quelled, this time by a hand on his shoulder. The teen whirled over to look at the source of all this anger and sadness, Shoto Todoroki. The teen's eyes held anger and horror in his eyes, still in shock and furious about his own self's death, yet Izuku focused on the emotion that Todoroki showed towards him: sadness. In his Shoto's mind, he felt sad, for his classmates, teachers, and friends, that clearly cared for him, be struck with such anger and sadness over him, sadness and shame to to see Eri and Kouta in tears over him, even sadness for his father, to witness the man who looked like himself die in front of his eyes.
But mostly, he felt sadness towards his best friend, to have to witness another death, his death this time, of someone he was close to, sad to see him clearly suffer heartache after heartache in this one video alone, and sad to see him wallow and drown himself in such anger and fury. 'Not unlike myself.' Todoroki thought back to the Sports Festival, Midoriya saving him from himself with just two sentences. 'Time I repaid the favor.'
Shoto let out a small smile and nodded in understanding. No other movements they made, no other words they shared, yet the easing Izuku calming down and his eyes turning to just sadness and tears was sign that it was enough. Shoto squeezed his best friend's shoulder once more before letting go and letting Tokage, floating down from her seat come in and take over, smiling, in both sadness and happiness, to see his friend hug and cling onto the fellow greenette who hugged back.
Setsuna stood there, rubbing comforting circles on Izuku's back, nestling her chin affectionately on his head and feeling his fluffy green hair tickle her cheeks. The boy she liked clung onto her like a lifeline, tightly yet not so much that she would break, which she knew he could easily do. Setsuna smiled sadly. 'In grief and yet he still thinks of others. You're the best man I know, Izuku Midoriya. The best man I could ever fall for.' She thought, as Izuku's tears fell down onto her moss green, dinosaur T-shirt. It was her favorite and she never so much as let a drop of soda stain the thing for years. She didn't give one shit, letting the cinnamon roll cry his pain out.
She felt a hand tug on her shirt and looked to see it was Eri, Kouta beside her, looking at the two. Just as quickly, they latched themselves onto the two, much to the appreciation of the green bean and to her shock at hugging her too. She quickly smiled and turned to look at the girls, who instead of glaring at her with the usual anger and jealousy, were smiling gratefully at her, yet still sadly. Setsuna smiled, detaching one of her hands and motioning them to come on in, to which they responded eagerly.
Izuku Rogers hung onto the side of the train, looking on in horror, before the horror turned to grief and his slammed his head softly into train's side with a face of full of tears and sobs, all as somber, and secretly ominous, music played in the background.
They continued the movie after he, and the rest calmed down. Izuku sent once last nod of gratitude to Todoroki, who nod gratefully at him too, mouthing one phrase. 'To the end of the line.' Izuku smiled sadly and nodded gratefully at the rest of guys' comfort.
Shoto received the same, and more, words and gestures of comfort, accepting a manly hug from Kirishima, an unnecessary apology from Iida he dismissed saying "There's nothing to apologize for." and a hug from Yaoyorozo and some of the girls he accepted. He chuckled at how tight Tsunotori hugged him, wondering to what kind of reaction Camie would have. The bi-colored haired teen shuddered at the thought, knowing it would be a lot of crying and hug that could rival and outmatch his father, which would also likely be the reaction from Inasa as well, mostly the hugging part.
Speaking of hugs, Endeavor calmly walked back into the gym, the group catching a glimpse of the fiery destruction he left behind him, and walked towards Shoto. He silently grabbed the teen in a tight, bonecrushing, and, Shoto realized, desperate hug, as if his father was convincing himself that he was still here and alive. Shoto eased himself and silently accepted the hug, his arms around his father's side his best attempt to return it.
"While I do not wish to ruin this moment of loss and sadness, I want you all to take this as a lesson." Nezu spoke up to the students. "This is the kind of danger and risk that we Heroes have to deal with. Whether it be yourselves or a civilian, this is the cost if Heroes make even one single mistake in the line of duty. I do not speak ill of Young Todoroki's mistake, he clearly knew the risks and fought to his best, and we should honor him for that, but that cost is why we train. We Heroes must train to the fullest and best potential we all can achieve and to go beyond those limits, to go Plus Ultra. Otherwise, the fate of Young Todoroki's counterpart could very well happen to one of you or your friends or a civilian. Do you understand?" The students were quick to nod, with serious, yet still sadden, faces. "Good. I am glad to see that."
Meanwhile, F.R.I.D.A.Y. decided to stay silent throughout the whole event. Despite the knowledge and true fate of what was to come, she chose to withhold that information, to let them see for themselves. 'Not that I could if I wanted to.' F.R.I.D.A.Y. thought as she remembered Master Zayden's rules.
As the train neared a tunnel, the glass of the roof above the first car shattered, sending Garaki gasping back to the driver, the two freezing under Gabriel's gun aimed on them.
The group glared hatefully at the man, most especially Endeavor and Deku. Memories of the doctor's counterpart and his taunting words flashed in Izuku's mind, his anger returning with silent vengeance. 'Wherever you are, I will find you, and I will prove you wrong.' Izuku thought hatefully as his mind turned back to Shigaraki and his counterpart. 'As for you two, even if I have to beat up whatever being sent us this thing, I will find you and beat your red skull into the ground and throw you into the hole you belong in. And as for you Shigaraki, I promise that I will take you down. For good if I have to.'
The scene changed to a cell, with a one way mirror on one side and a table, with light shining on it, in the middle of the room. The door opened, Garaki, in white prison clothes walked in.
"That man should pay for what he did to Todoroki." Kirishima snarled.
"At least, he's where he belongs." Kaminari grumbled.
A soldier gave the scientist his glasses before stepping out, leaving Garaki alone in the room. Garaki walked down towards the metal bed, his footsteps sounding off on the metal floor. The Hydra doctor looked down and saw a couple of blood stains on the ground.
"Oh I see." Momo said. "He's in an interrogation room."
"Would explain that one way glass window." Kyouka said.
Before he could fully look at it, the door opened again, the doctor whirling to find Colonel Phillips walking in with a tray and napkin in hand. The door closed, leaving the two alone. "Sit down." Phillips ordered as he sat on a chair facing towards the bed.
"Please tell me I get to lay a smackdown on that Villain." Death Arms pounded his fists together.
"Slow your roll, DA." Mount Lady said. "I don't think beating him within an inch of his life tactic will work on him."
Garaki sat down on the chair opposite to the Colonel, looking at the tray that Phillips placed down. On the tray was a plate of steak, potatoes, and broccoli, along with a fork, knife, and a glass of milk.
"What is this?" Garaki asked.
"Steak." Phillips responded.
"What is in it?" Garaki asked further.
"He doesn't know what steaks made out of?" Kamakiri snorted. "So much for being a doctor."
"Maybe he's a vegetarian." Manga replied. "Or they somehow don't make steaks in Germany."
"Cow." Phillips replied. "Doctor, do you realize how difficult it is to get ahold of a prime cut like that out here?"
"I don't eat meat." Garaki revealed.
Manga gestured with a smiley emoticon. Kamakiri just rolled his eyes.
"Why not?" Phillips asked.
"It disagrees with me." Garaki answered.
"How about cyanide?" Phillips asked further. "Does that give you the rumbly tummy, too?"
Garaki responded with silence and a smile.
"Oh yeah, now that I think about it, he's didn't seem to take a cyanide pill like that one guy that kill Erskine." Kosei said, Izuku frowning at the memory. "Wonder why?"
"I think he's about to say." Sen said.
"Every Hydra agent that we've tried to take alive, has crunched a little pill before we can stop him." Phillips said, turning the plate to him and grabbing the knife and fork to eat the steak himself. "But not you." He cut into the steak, while Garaki cringed in disgust as he watched. "So, here is my brilliant theory." Phillips ate a piece of steak. "You want to live."
Garaki smirked knowingly. "You're trying to intimidate me, Colonel." Garaki said.
"I bought you dinner." Phillips shrugged. He slid a piece of paper to Garaki.
The Hydra scientist looked at the paper and began to read off of it. "Given the valuable information he has provided, and in exchange for his full cooperation," Garaki read off. "Dr. Zola is being remanded to Switzerland?" He looked at that final part in confusion.
"Wait, he's being let go?" Mina asked confused.
Endeavor's fists tightened at that.
"Or maybe he's just being sent to another Allied prison camp in Switzerland with better protection." Ryukyu said.
"Weren't they neutral during WWI?" Hawks asked.
"Indeed they were." Edgeshot said. "So the idea of him being sent to an Allied prison camp in an neutral country sounds unlikely."
"I sent that message to Washington this morning," Phillips revealed as he salted his food. "Of course, it was encoded. You guys haven't broken those codes, have you? That would be awkward."
"Schmidt will know this is a lie." Garaki replied with a smirk.
"So they did break those codes." Hagakure pointed out.
"Or Phillips is lying to him and trying to scare him up." Itsuka said.
"He's going to kill you anyways, Doc." Phillips responded. "You're a liability." Garaki continuing smirking at Phillips, before his eyes twitched and his smirk quivered to a frown. "You know more about Schmidt than anyone." Phillips continued. "And that last guy you cost us was Captain Rogers's closest friend, so I wouldn't count on the very best of protection." Garaki's smirk fully fell into a frown. "Its you or Schmidt. It's just the hand you've been dealt."
Even Deku was conflicted on that news, wanting for something to happen to Garaki and yet wishing for him to face justice in prison alive.
Garaki was silent for a few moments before speaking. "Schmidt believes he walks in the footsteps of the gods." Garaki spoke.
"Hmm." Phillips nodded, his hum amused.
"Only the world itself will satisfy him." Garaki continued.
"You do realize that's nuts, don't you?" Phillips asked.
"What?" Garaki said. "The sanity of the plan is of no consequence."
"And why is that?" Phillips asked again.
"Because he can do it!" Garaki exclaimed loudly.
Nezu's eyes narrowed. "The Valkyrie." He muttered.
"Whatever it is, it seems like he's building up enough firepower with that Cube to power or weaponize it." Aizawa said.
"What's his target?" Phillips asked one final time, munching on another piece of steak.
"His target" Garaki said, leaning forwards to the Colonel. "Is Everywhere."
Phillips stopped munching and looked at the doctor silently.
"Woah woah woah, hold on, everywhere?" Setsuna questioned. "What does he mean everywhere? Is he going to bomb the entire Earth?"
"No, Miss Tokage." Nezu replied, his eyes lit up and tail stood up. "Just every hostile capital on Earth."
The group looked to him confused, Aizawa and Izuku's eyes lighting up in horrified realization.
"Nezu, sir, what do you mean by that?" All Might asked confused.
"Do you recall Schmidt's words to those three Nazi officers before he killed them?" Nezu asked.
All Might frowned in confusion before he thought back to it and his started to widen. "No." He breathed out.
"Indeed." Nezu said.
"Um, no offense, sir, but can you explain to us a bit more clearly?" Midnight asked.
"The bombs." Izuku said, the group now looking to him. "In the factory where they held Todoroki and the rest, they were several bombs and explosives there, along with the pieces of the Valkyrie. And Schmidt said that he had enough firepower to wipe away all his enemies in one stroke no matter where they were."
Momo's eyes widened as well. "He had several cities marked on the map the Nazi officers looked at." She gasped out. "Berlin, Paris, London, they are all capitals of their respective countries."
"He means to bomb them all with Tesseract-powered bombs." Aizawa revealed. "And not just them, but every other capital and major city on the globe till nothing is left but Hydra."
The group's eyes widened in horrified realization.
"But that's insane!" Mina shouted.
"Garaki himself said that whether the plan was sane or not wasn't important." Shoto said grimly. "it is insane, because Schmidt is insane. Its as simple as that."
Ominous music played, the scene changing to a large hanger and a large, black plane shaped like in a triangle, its wings stretched far and wide while the nose of the ship was round with a multitude of windows up front.
"I'm guessing that's the Valkyrie." Kyouka said.
"Correct." Momo said, her face confused. "Although, it looks familiar."
Izuku's face lit up in realization, Melissa noticing Izuku's look and looked to the Valkyrie. After a few seconds of inspecting, the pieces lined up and her eyes widened as well. Nezu meanwhile too came to the same conclusion, his frown one of uncertainty and curiosity.
A group of a dozen soldiers stood beside the plane, clothed in entirely black outfits, and covered masks and goggles. The group stood at attention as Red Skull walked past them and towards a stool with a wine glass and wine bottle on it.
Izuku and the group glared at the Red Skull, All Might's glare still conflicted with the knowledge of who's counterpart Schmidt's is.
Red Skull turned and looked at the group of soldiers. "Tomorrow," Red Skull began. "Hydra will stand master of the world. Borne to victory on the wings of the Valkyrie."
"I want to be satisfied that I got that right, but I would be more satisfied if that thing just exploded on them right now." Kyouka said.
"Sadly, I agree with you, Jirou. Momo said.
"Our enemy's weapons will be powerless against us." Red Skull continued as the screen looked at the dozen soldier standing still in attention. "If they shoot down one plane, hundreds more will rain Fire Upon Them!" He grabbed the wine glass and raised it to beside his face. "If they cut off One Head, Two More shall take its place. Hail Hydra."
"Hail Hydra!" The dozen soldiers chanted as they raised their arms out in front of them.
"Hail Hydra! Hail Hydra! Hail Hydra!" Red Skull sipped his glass of wine before turning behind him and raised his glass to the army of thousands of Hydra soldiers, all armed with similar Tesseract-powered weapons.
The group's eyes widen in horror and shock at the number of them.
"HAIL HYDRA! HAIL HYDRA!" All the soldiers raised their arms and chanted in unison. "HAIL HYDRA! HAIL HYDRA!"
Hawks eyes widened, the dark hangar and the number of chanting soldiers reminding Hawks of the dark underground area that the new Paranormal Liberation Front of a thousand Pro Heroes, Villains, and civilians alike chanted and bowed before the feet of Tomura Shigaraki and his generals. The resemblance, he felt, was horrifyingly uncanny.
"Well shit." Kaminari cursed.
"For once, I agree." Kyouka said, deciding not to stab the teen with her jacks.
The scene changed to Setsuna walking through the ruins of a town, walking into a destroyed looking pub.
"Wait is that the same pub that Midoriya and Todoroki were in?" Sero asked. "Why is it in ruins? Isn't this London?"
"A dark and broken reminder of good times long gone." Tokoyami darkly said.
"Revelry in the Dark." Shihai nodded.
Izuku and Todoroki looked down sadly.
"Blackout is still in effect throughout the London Area." A announcer voice through an intercom. "Please wait for the all-clear. Your attention, please. All citizens shall remain indoors until further notice."
"Okay can someone now give me an actual answer instead of same sagely words from the dark duo here?" Sero asked.
"Back in WWII, one of the things the Axis forces did was constantly bombard London with multiple bombs and explosives from the sky." All Might informed. "It became so frequent that many blackouts and city wide curfews were put into place to avoid people getting killed by aerial bombers tossing bombs to where there was light and people."
"That's horrible." Pony said.
"Yes it was." All Might nodded. "As is most things in war."
As the announcer droned on, Setsuna heard a rattle of noise and walked towards the source of the noise. She found it in Izuku, dressed in military attire, sitting by himself, his face cold and emotionless, a glass and bottle of wine on the table in front of him.
The hearts of the girls ached to see Izuku so sad and cold. It was like staring at once happy and cheerful puppy just laying down sad and beaten.
"Oh dear god, no. Midoriya is becoming an alcoholic!" Kaminari shouted dramatically.
The group looked to him with exasperated looks and raised eyebrows.
"Alright alright, I shut it." Kaminari grumbled. "Excuse me for trying to lighten the mood."
He looked back to see Setsuna looking at him before turning away to the wine. "Dr. Erskine said that the serum wouldn't just affect my muscles," Izuku said as he poured wine down his glass. "It would affect my cells. Create a protective system of regeneration and healing." Setsuna watched Izuku as he spoke, his voice oozing with grief and pain. "Which means um...I can't get drunk. Did you know that?"
This raised the eyebrows of the adults wide.
"Oh dear god, now that's...that's just wrong!" Mic exclaimed. "You want to drown out your sorrows by getting drunk and you find out that you can't even do that. That's Hell."
"No joke, that does sound really bad." Midnight said. "Who knew such a blessing could in fact be a curse?"
"Your metabolism burns four times faster than the average person." Setsuna said as she grabbed a chair beside her and sat by Izuku. "He thought it could be one of the side effects."
"Well that makes sense." Pixie Bob said. "Gotta need a lot of fuel for those muscles and everything."
Izuku remained silent, looking down at his hand, remembering how he reached out and failed to grab him.
"It wasn't your fault." Carter said.
The group, sans Izuku, nodded their heads.
"Did you read the report?" Rogers questioned her.
"Yes." She answered.
"Then you know that's not true." Izuku replied.
Before Deku could nod his own head, Melissa grabbed his head and made him looked towards her. The green haired teen stared at the starling amount of conviction in her eyes. "It. Was. Not. Your. Fault." Melissa said slowly to him, a slight threateningly tone in her voice. "And if you say otherwise, I am going to help Mei test All her 'babies' on you and help make them more... well Mei."
That definitely made Deku nod his head in agreement quickly.
"You did everything you could." Setsuna replied. As she stared at him, while he remained silent, she spoke again with "Did you believe in your friend? Did you respect him?" Izuku turned to her. "Then stop blaming yourself. Allow Barnes the dignity of his choice. He damn well must have thought you were worth it."
'Worth more than me, if I had any say in it.' Todoroki thought in agreement.
"Wow, that was some good talking to there, Tokage." Itsuka said.
"Yeah, that's just what I do." Setsuna gloated playfully, flipping her around.
Itsuka rolled her eyes.
Izuku looked away before breathing in deep. "I'm going after Schmidt." Izuku said. "I'm not going to stop until All of Hydra is dead or captured."
Izuku nodded, hoping if he could help out with the endeavor.
"You won't be alone." Setsuna told the Captain.
"Word." Setsuna said, smiling, Izuku smiling too.
"She has the right of it." Kirishima said. "Just as you have been there for us Midobro, we will be there for you. All for One and One for All."
While Izuku smiled at Kirishima's enthusiasm, the choice of phrase made Izuku think about the similarly named Quirks, along with the Villain that wields the former. 'But...if he ever were to get out, or if he somehow gave it to Shigaraki or someone else like Nine...would I let them follow me into such danger?' Izuku thought.
"Johann Schmidt belongs in a nuthouse." Phillips said, the scene changing to him staring at a map of Europe to America. "He thinks he's a god, and he's willing to blow up half the world to prove it, starting with the USA." He pointed to the black lines of Germany lining up towards the US.
Melissa, David, and Pony frowned especially at Schmidt desire to blow up America in particular.
"But why America first?" Pony questioned.
"From what we saw of those thousands of Hydra soldiers, they might be planning to send them out to deal with the European countries that they can easily access on foot or by land vehicles." Izuku analyzed. "But since America is overseas and they likely have submarines and ships to guard them and would cause Hydra to lose the element of surprise, they would need to bomb them from an aerial vehicle and since most would probably be shot down with regular anti-aerial weaponry, the Valkyrie was made possibly to counteract that."
"Counteract that how?" Uraraka said.
"The Valkyrie could reach heights that normal WWII era anti-aerial weaponry can't reach given its size and that its powered by the Cube." Melissa answered.
"Schmidt's working with powers beyond our capabilities." Masaru said as he walked towards and sat at the large table, Falsworth beside him, its occupants including Izuku, Setsuna, and the rest of the remaining Howling Commandoes. "He gets across the Atlantic, he will wipe out the entire Easter Seaboard in an hour."
Setsuna sighed before turning to Izuku, who tossed a few papers onto a pile, a pensive look on his face.
"How much time we got?" Jones asked, Frenchie beside him.
"According to my new best friend, under 24 hours." Phillips revealed.
"So one day to stop an army of thousands powered by disintegration guns and tanks and overpowered nukes." Kaminari summarized. "Yeah, that's sounds easy."
"It doesn't matter whether it is easy or not." Aizawa replied. "What only matters is that they succeed or lose the lives of millions."
"Where is he now?" Frenchie asked.
"Hydra's last base is here." Phillips said, pointing to a picture of the Swiss Alps. "In the Alps, 500 feet below the surface."
Mineta grumbled as he handed 200 yen to Sero, who took the betted money smugly.
He handed the picture to Morita who asked "So what are we supposed to do? I mean, its not like we can just knock on the front door."
"Why not?" Izuku asked.
The group looked to Izuku Rogers, who stared at them with a determined expression. "That's exactly what we are going to do."
"I smell a plan worthy of Midori coming along that's going to save the day no problem." Mina said with a smirk.
Izuku smiled back, making the pink-skinned girl blush purple. "If I think what I think he's thinking, then of course."
AAAAAANNNNNNDDDD SCENE! For the umpteenth time, sorry for the long wait, but as Scoobydoo0504 put it, I am juggling three stories, laziness, consistent writer's block, real life, and trying to make these stories the best I can make them, so I'm trying my best here. By the way, thanks for the words Scooby, have a complimentary Scooby Snack.
Now, as for the story, I hope you guys liked it. Shoutouts to Danthros for the French translations and tacktician for the extra info on Cap's shield. Also, I'm sure some of you guys will be upset that I didn't stay on trend and make Lorraine Nana Shimura but I felt like the Seventh User of OFA deserves a better role than a low rank floosy.
As for Todoroki, I hope you guys liked the train scene and how the group reacted, especially Endeavor and Izuku, and how Todoroki reacted to both of them. Also, looks like our boy Shoto has earned the interest of a certain American transfer student as well as a certain Shiketsu student. Onto some more fun facts, did you guys know that the music used during Bucky's 'death scene' was actually used and altered into the Winter Soldier theme?
Anyways, with this we have one more part to go to finish off Captain America and then finally into the Avengers. And I will say this once more: I will Not be doing the Incredible Hulk. Not that I Hate the movie with a passion, I don't like it but not Hate, but I just don't find anything the Incredible Hulk had to be important to the MCU that the other MCU movies didn't also do. The Hulk would be better introduced in the Avengers with an extra flair of mystery of 'What makes this Hulk so terrifying?' and the consequences of Hulk coming out due to anger is shown in the Avengers as well. Hulk going out of control in a public area? Done in Avengers Age of Ultron. Hulk's Love Interest in Betty Ross? Unimportant since Black Widow becomes Bruce's love interest, as much as that pairing makes most of us groan and whine. Everett Ross? Easily introduced in Civil War? And the split personality between Hulk and Banner? Done in Age of Ultron, Thor Ragnorock, and Infinity War.
The movie just doesn't contribute much and the fact its bad is just a cherry on top. At least Iron Man 2 had shown what would happen if Tony's arc reactor and suits were to be given to another money profiteering company and has Tony resolve some of his issues with his dad, and Thor the Dark World introduces the Reality Stone, so that one will be covered as well. Captain Marvel however is something that I'm still considering, given Carol's overall lack of importance, save a few scenes, in Endgame.
Well, that it for now. Again, I hope you guys like the chapter, comment your thoughts in the reviews below and comment who you think will be who, check out my other stories if you like, and please get your shots so we can put this nightmare of a virus behind us faster.
As always, this has been Zayden StormVoid and I will see you all later. EXCELSIOR!
