To the people who remember last chapter's question which is still on going by the time this chapter is posted, we are still at a standstill, but however it should be noted that a review (which can be seen down below at the very end of the chapter) talked about the Patrollers at least being Nameks and Frost Demons. This is indeed something I've had on my mind about this, and I feel like if more patrollers other than Trunks and Fu are to be seen, other races besides Saiyans should indeed be seen and included. I may have one Saiyan patroller other than Trunks, but that would be it. So I would like to press that we try to have other races appear, especially since we have a lot of Saiyans in this story already.
Bardock: *does the math* So three Saiyans.
No no no, five.
Bardock: Five? How the hell is there already five Saiyans in this story?!
You, Izuku, Trunks-y boy, Mira Jane, and Fu Minutes Left.
Fu: *looks at Mira Jane from Fairy Tail who was holding a bottle of Mary Jane* She's a Saiyan?
Mira: He means me.
Mira Jane: Dumbass.
Fu: Ooooooh… but why the nicknames?
Because I can do what I damn will please in this AU, bitch. So whatever happens is because that is how the AU is proceeding off of my mind, and also how I wish for it to go with a large bit of fan influence.
Bardock: Someone mind explaining to me how Mira and Fu are Saiyans?
Izuku: Look it up on Fandom Wikipedia. It sheds a lot of light on things concerning both the anime, manga, and games for things. Hell, that's how Lego does a good bit of his research and why he knows Inosuke's different Beast Breathing Forms.
Inosuke: *in another room* FANGS, THE FORMS ARE CALLED FANGS!
Izuku: Right, sorry.
Bardock: ...yeah, I'mma go look this shit up. *walks away*
Chapter 18
Potential
Today marked a day before the weekend leading to the UA Sports Festival, with UA generous enough to give the students a three day weekend before the Sports Festival, which would begin on Tuesday, the Second and Third year Sports Festival proceeding in the two days after, followed by another long weekend that would begin on Friday until Sunday, the school schedule returning to normal in the weeks to follow.
Currently, Bardock was standing with his eyes closed while pinching his temple, trying to stop himself from yelling at the top of his lungs which was so far not gonna happen as he calmed himself down. He was with his first hour of Classes 1A and 3A, and he looked at all of his students, and they all were lined up.
"Okay," Bardock began as he looked at all of them, his hands on his hips as he began to pace in front of them. "I'm going to put all of your progress bluntly, and this is as a whole, both classes." He stopped in front of all of them and said, "You all are shit!"
A good portion of them shifted uncomfortably, and Izuku looked down, despite how he knew this wasn't directed towards him since his progress was actually astounding.
"None of you can master making a single ball of Ki," Bardock shouted at them. "None of you! Hell, barely anyone in this whole school has mastered past a simple ball of Ki! The only ones of this whole school who can make a ball of Ki, is Izuku," he pointed at his prized pupil, "Katsuki," he pointed towards the one kid he loathed but would tolerate for now, "Nejire, and her Ki blasts freaking corkscrew when she fires them," he pointed at the female of the Big Three who had a big smile in her face and was shifting her weight from her heels to her toes and back and forth, "Ojiro," he pointed at the sole Martial Artist in Class 1A, "who actually is making good progress-"
"It's similar to Chi in Martial Arts," Ojiro said randomly.
"And that's it out of all of you who can form a ball of Ki," Bardock told them all. "Otherwise, throughout this whole school, only five others can actually make Ki or are close, which is 21, another student from 1B who is a Martial Artist, a kid from the General Education course which just shows how shit most of you are, that Hatsume girl from the Support Course who I'm actually scared whether or not she's mentally okay," that part was actually true, and he questioned every time he heard her call her machines 'babies' whether or not she lived in a stable environment, "and last but not least, the Principal." Most of the students looked down, though Mirio had his hands out, still trying to form a ball of Ki. Bardock at least liked Mirio for his determination. And also his bullshit strength. He still questioned a bit how he hurt him the day Bardock held his first Class, but he at least knew that Power Levels were bullshit in this world after watching several matches from a retake of the first Basic Heroes Training that failed miserably for Class 1A.
"So now, I have a change of plans for all of you," Bardock told the students. "To those who are willing to try to learn Ki, then for extra credit you can try to make a ball of Ki and show it to me but otherwise this is just gonna be extra Hero Training, and I'll be making scenarios where you have to fight me. I'll be holding back, but I'm still gonna put up a fight for most of you. This way, you can strengthen your Quirks, and also still fight me and get some more experience since I have seen a lot of different fighting styles and I can use a good portion of them too."
Most of the students weren't particularly exciting for that. Izuku however raised his hand before asking, "What about us that can use Ki?"
"I'll make a clone of myself to assist you guys in your Ki Training," Bardock answered Izuku. "Though there will be days where you guys will fight me, or assist me in everyone else's training."
"Okay," Izuku said. Bardock nodded.
The battle hardened Saiyan felt a bit more calm after his rant, and he took a deep breath and let it out. "For now, I'll make this a free period so you guys can either discuss things amongst yourselves, fight, I guess prepare for another class, or try to harness Ki."
Of course the students each went to do different things, Mirio being really determined to try and master Ki and being the first of the few to try and master it, and Bardock walked to a fake building and leaning against it, before Izuku and Bakugo walked up to him.
"I'm ready to take my training to the next level," Bakugo told Bardock, which made the Saiyan raise an eyebrow. "But more on that in a bit. Deku has some stuff to talk to you about."
The Saiyan looked at his pupil and Izuku nodded, before saying, "It's about 21…" Bardock slightly 'Ahhh'ed in realization, before Izuku continued. "I know this isn't exactly relevant, but we need to try and help 21 overcome her hunger issue before we have a repeat of that incident 16 was talking about that happened a while back."
"I know kid, but there is little we can do right now," Bardock told Izuku. "At best we could try to comfort her and keep her mind off of her second stomach, but we have to wait until we can get the Dragon Balls." 'More importantly, for the Time Patrol to come,' Bardock thought secretly.
"But isn't there something we could do?" Izuku asked.
"I don't have a single idea," Bardock told Izuku, which made Izuku looked down. Bardock turned to Bakugo. "What were you thinking about your training?"
"That form that the weird demon chick instilled onto me," Bakugo began. "I want to master it and make it mine, so she can't control me using it, and so I can break free if she does try to control me."
Bardock nodded again, before remembering something. "Now that I think about it, I believe there were three stages to it." This shocked Izuku and Bakugo respectively. "The form you have unlocked right now is the first stage. Then there was a second stage with a black, dark purple, and white aura that was stronger. And then there was a final form… but I don't entirely remember it." Bardock looked at Bakugo with a blank look on his face. "You're gonna have a lot of training ahead if you want to master those three forms and break Towa's mind control."
"Damn it…" Bakugo muttered. "Here I thought I could best her bullshit magic easily."
"Heh, good luck with that," Bardock replied with a chuckle, finding amusement in seeing Bakugo look disappointed and slightly scared.
"Go to hell!" Bakugo retorted while firing a Ki infused explosion at Bardock, who simply dodged and sent Bakugo into a lamp post, breaking the lamp post in the process and making a nice new dent in a building that Cementoss would have to fix later. "Fuck!"
After School
Teacher's Lounge
21 was currently getting ready to leave the school for the day, and was gathering her notes for classes today when Bardock and Izuku walked into the room. "Oh, hey boys," 21 greeted when they came in.
"Hey 21," Izuku replied. "How are you doing?"
21 knew what he was referring to, and politely smiled. Or at least, she tried, but her eyebrows lowered so she looked kinda mad and she actually was. But Izuku always insisted on making sure she was doing okay. "I'm fine."
Izuku knew she was lying from the tone she gave, but before he could reply Bardock's eyes widened and he said, "Holy crap!"
This confused the others. "What?"
"I forgot to ask the people I'm hoping my letter went to from the other dimension to gather the Dragon Balls for 21!" Bardock answered before banging his head on the wall. "Damn it!"
"That's what the big fuss is about?!" 21 questioned before realizing that was actually important. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU FORGET TO ASK THEM ABOUT THAT?!"
"I hadn't talked to you in two weeks and I was more concerned for this world's safety because of Towa and Mira!" Bardock replied. "That, and I had a dull pencil."
"Why were you writing with a dull pencil?!" 21 questioned while shouting some more.
"Because the other ones were broken because Hatsume has the most cluttered work space out of everyone here!" Bardock shouted back. "That, and I was writing on a small piece of paper!"
"Then write on the back!"
"Who the hell writes on the back of the paper?!"
"Why are we yelling?!" Izuku interrupted while also shouting.
"The adults are talking here!" Bardock shouted at Izuku with frightened the teenage boy.
"I'm literally fifteen years old!" 21 said, which surprised Bardock and Izuku.
"And you're a teacher?!" Bardock questioned.
"I HAVE A MASTER'S DEGREE, AND I'M UNDER WITNESS PROTECTION!" 21 shouted at Bardock.
"Witness protection?" Izuku questioned. "Wait, does that mean that-"
"I SAID the adults are talking here!" Bardock yelled at Izuku.
"Well I'm trying to ask my teacher a question!" Izuku shouted back at Bardock, referring to 21. Bardock's eye twitched, but he grunted and looked away. Izuku looked back at 21. "Why are you under witness protection?"
21 was silent and she also looked away. Much to Izuku's surprise, she said, "Don't ask me or you'll find out the hard way…" With that being the last words she said, she left the Teacher's Lounge.
Izuku eyes were still on 21 as she left, and he began to walk to try and ask her again because he felt somewhat entitled to know the truth, especially since 16 told him to watch over her, but he was stopped by Bardock. "Now is not a good time to ask kid," Bardock told Izuku.
"But-" Izuku was silenced when Bardock slapped him.
"Not a good time," Bardock repeated firmly. "You should go home and rest for the time being. The Sports Festival is coming up after all…"
"But, what about 21?!" Izuku asked his Sensei. "16 told me we need to keep an eye on her so her hunger doesn't-"
"I know," Bardock interrupted. "But you shouldn't worry about her for right now." Bardock walked out. "You just focus on the Festival. I got her for right now."
Izuku was surprised by Bardock's sudden motivation for watching 21, but he looked down at the ground. He sighed and looked at one of his hands silently. 'I need to get stronger…' The former Quirkless teen thought, before clenching his fist and deciding to push his limits in these upcoming days. "And for this job I'll need…"
When he traveled dimensions, Bardock had picked up all sorts of techniques.
From different fighting styles, learning how to wield weapons, and also being silent from a world where his son and his friends were ninjas in a Earth that less advanced than the one he knew Kakarot grew up in.
Currently he was following 21 by jumping from roof to roof as she drove her car back to her home, which happened to be her lab. A cluttered workspace Bardock knew it was, but he knew that 21 had nowhere else to go but there. But even so, he followed her to make sure there was nowhere else she lived cause he wanted his answered.
As he followed, she took a right turn that lead to a more lighted part of the city, which made Bardock grunt. She must've assumed he was following her. That, or she was going the right way. Either way, Bardock had to activate his Ki by a little bit just so he could use a ability he picked up in one of the dimensions he traveled, which made him turn camouflage.
He continued to follow her, before she went down the familiar street that led to her lab. That's what Bardock assumed since it was dark and he couldn't read the signs. He followed her, before suddenly she went in the woods.
'The woods?' Bardock questioned as he began to hop from branch to branch while following her still. 'Does she live somewhere else?'
As the Saiyan continued to follow her, they eventually came across a town in the woods, that was void of life. Bardock's eyes widened as she pulled up to one of the houses, and parked her car, before standing still while he landed on a nearby house. Bardock's eyes narrowed at her, before he tilted his head to the right as a Ki Blast was sent towards his head which he dodged since he saw it coming. 'So she knows I'm here,' Bardock thought as the Ki Blast exploded.
"I know you're there Bardock," 21 called out to the Saiyan, who tsk'ed before landing in front of her while dropping the camouflage. "Why did you follow me?"
"I need my answers," Bardock told her. "You've been hiding too many things from not just me, but also from Izuku. I get it if you don't want to tell me anything, but Izuku deserves the whole truth since 16 tasked him with protecting you from your 'hunger' as he said."
"You of all people don't get to boss me around, even if you are trying to help me," 21 told Bardock while clenching her fists. "Now go and leave me alone!"
Bardock sighed which confused the Bio-Android. "Fine… you left with me no choice." Bardock appeared behind 21 and hit her with a powerful punch and sent her into the woods, ironically the way they just came from. "I'm going to beat the answer out of you."
21 growled in frustration as she stood back up, her lab coat slightly tore up now, before she clutched her head and yelled. Bardock was surprised and immediately thought of Towa's brainwashing before he saw a change in 21's eyes. His guard was up all the way now, as 21 stopped and gave a sadistic smile. "Okay, fine. You want answers?!" She asked as she looked at him with a almost primitive look in her eyes. "Then why don't I show you?!" Suddenly Bardock felt her energy spike as a black and red aura surrounded 21 and she began to transform into her Majin form.
"So this is her 'hunger'..." Bardock muttered as 21 fully transformed.
"Oh, you're gonna be a delicious snack!" 21 commented as she lunged at him.
Bardock's eyes narrowed before he dodged her every attack. He socked her face with a fast punch, followed by a kick to her abdomen which sent her to the ground before Bardock formed a fiery blue Ki Blast in his hand. "Riot Javelin!" Bardock shouted as he tossed it at the dazed 21.
21 looked down for the count, before she disappeared which made Bardock look around, but not at all alarmed. She couldn't hurt him. She was too weak, even transformed. He felt her energy from above him and he looked up to see 21 holding a giant ball of Ki above her head. Bardock chuckled. 'She's trying,' Bardock thought, amused by the pissed look on her face.
She tossed the Ki Blast, and Bardock faked yawning before he held one hand up and grabbed the ball before throwing it right back at 21 and it hit hurt and caused a large explosion that made a large gust of wind blow a good portion of the green leaves from the trees.
Bardock began to walk up to the weakened 21 who was sitting on the ground, looking tired when she saw him and held out a finger, a pink electric blast forming at the tips out it. She fired it at him but he smacked it away at a tree, which turned it into a large candy cane tree. "Really?" Bardock questioned. "Were you thinking of deep throating me?"
"Don't you mock me!" The pissed 21 shouted as she continued to try and turn him into candy, which failed miserably with each attempt before he socked her again and she hit a tree.
"You're underestimating me," Bardock stated. "You wouldn't be able to compete with me, even in a million years." Bardock grabbed her by her tail and then slammed her into the ground, which caused her to shout out in pain. "Tell me everything, or else!"
"I won't tell you crap!" 21 shouted at him.
Bardock smiled cruelly as he grabbed her by the head and lifted her in front of him. "You're gonna sing a different tune soon…" Bardock smiled more widely which confused 21. "I'll make you watch it happen…"
"W-Watch what?!" 21 questioned the Saiyan.
"Watch me murder Izuku," Bardock told her, which made 21's eyes widened in shock. "After all… you've taken an interest in him since you decided to help him out. You got attached to him. So I'm gonna kill him. And you're gonna tell me everything as I slowly kill him." He was lying whole heartedly about Izuku. He wouldn't dare to touch his prize pupil. But it so far was working to make 21 think differently, so this was a whole hearted lie he was willing to use to try and get his answers.
Sadly, he didn't anticipate her energy spiking rapidly and her kicking him in the face and sending him flying threw the forest before he hit the side of a mountain. "Crap!" Bardock exclaimed as he actually felt that one. Maybe he should've gone Super Saiyan before beating the crap out of her.
Suddenly, the low-class Saiyan felt himself get dragged through the mountain as the now livid 21 began to beat the crap out of him. Before long, they were on the other side of the mountain and Bardock felt like he just got fucking rattled by 21 as he could barely form a cohesive thought while he got thrown into a clearing on the mountain.
"I'm going to kill you," 21 stated as Bardock looked at her, to see that one of her eyes was black and red, while the other was white and blue. "You won't lay a single finger on Izuku."
"Talk about…" Bardock began to pant as he stood up. "*huff*… Teenage love…" 21 only clocked his face in response which sent him back a bit before he went Super Saiyan and punched her, sending her back in the process. "Okay! Calm the hell down!"
"Why should I?!" 21 questioned, though it sounded like two voices were speaking at once now that Bardock could pay attention to that detail.
"I wasn't actually going to kill him. Or hurt him," Bardock answered. "I need answers to my questions damnit! I should know what I'm working against, and working to save."
21 looked at him, not trusting him one bit before Bardock went back down to base form, which made 21 began to trust him again and she fell to the ground, also reverting to her true form as well, her red eye disappearing too. "D-Damn it… she took control again…"
"Your, 'hunger'?" Bardock assumed as he looked at 21.
"I'm… I'm sorry…" 21 said instead of answering his question. "I'm… I'm just scared…"
"Being scared is natural," Bardock said as he grabbed her and began to fly back to the village where her car was. "Everyone gets scared in their lifetime. But, you just need to overcome that fear before you can truly move on." 21 took Bardock's words to heart, before they made it back to the village. He helped her into one of the houses, which turned out that this whole place was the village she ate the people of the previous year. Bardock put 21 on the couch, before asking her again, "What is your hunger, and how the hell did it form?"
21 was silent, before she looked at him and said, "It started three years ago, back when I first manifested the power that let me turn things into candy…"
I wasn't paying attention to how long this chapter was getting before I stopped right here. A good part to end it at indeed! I also realized we didn't have much 21 Screentime, so she gets a chapter somewhat dedicated to herself, with a bit more character development for Bardock and 21, and also for Izuku too. That, and a good bit of plot development too.
Bardock: *walks back in* Back.
How was your research?
Bardock: I find it all bullshit. But I'll accept it for now.
...fair enough.
21: Well, at least we can look forward to some more development towards me and Izuku's relationship since we were supposed to be shipped in this.
Izuku: On the plus side, he aged you up a bit so that then we could date legally since you're not that old in FighterZ.
Yep!
16: RIP the fam to who we dedicate this Requiem, for it is now time for the reviews.
Bardock, Izuku, and 21: *looks at Lego* You bastard.
I REGRET NOTHING!
Guest chapter 17 . Jun 1
If you put the Time Patrols can you make them a Frost Demon and a Namekian because while I do like the Saiyans I think they should be more used.
This was the review I was calling out at the beginning of the chapter.
Trunks: True, Saiyans get pampered way too much by Xeno 2.
