Akame Ga Kill: Kill the Second Chance.
This chapter will be about the continuation battle between Night Raid and Stylish, Akame summons her necklace spirit, Tatsumi saving Ears and adopting her, and Night Raid killing Stylish. This chapter is going to be long.
Quick note- I read the reviews to see if you guys gave me ideas for the spirit animals and I liked them so far. Here are the spirits that everyone is going to use:
Akame's spirit will be a raven. The spirit's ability can make her movements quicker than before, making her body flexible and stronger. She can also fly. The downside is, the necklace must be charged by placing it in a dark place, like a drawer or a dark room in order to use it again.
Bulat's spirit will be a demon. The spirit's ability can give him a couple of new weapons that uses demonic power, and he can cast some demonic moves with Neuntote, though the downside is that after using too much power, it will leave Bulat exhausted for two days.
Mine's spirit will be a hawk. The spirit's ability can increase Pumpkin's power, making the shots more deadly and they can shoot through armor, though the downside is that the spirit can only be used once per-day.
Lubbock's spirit will be a spider. When Lubbock has an enemy trapped in Cross-Tail's, he will call forth the spider and it will slowly walk on the threads to its enemy before eating them. The spirit's ability can alert Lubbock if an enemy has passed by the wires undetected.
That's it for the spirits revealed in this chapter. The next four will be in the next chapter, and the next four after that. One last thing about the necklaces, they have an immune ability, so everyone can't be affected by any element, like fire, ice, thunder and poison, and each spirit will have a name and a power form.

Chapter Twenty: The Battle Continues!
(Inside Night Raid's base; With Akame and Lubbock.)
Akame let out a grunt as she deflected another one of Toby's blades with her Murasame, and she was getting tired and annoyed at the fight they had been doing. She has been dodging and deflecting for an hour and was trying to figure out how to kill him. Toby leaped in the air, and tried to down kick her, a blade extending at the back of his boot. But the raven-hair assassin dodged the attack and ran to the right side before slashing her blade upward, slicing Toby's right arm off.
Toby hissed as blood sprayed from his wound, staining the wall on the right, and his severed arm dropped to the ground with a thud. "Damn it." He cursed, landing back on the ground, and his wound caused a pool of blood to appear under his feet.
"Hmm, it seems that one cut isn't going to be enough to kill you…" Akame said, sliding into her fighting stance and ready Murasame, its blade glowing in the pale moonlight. "I guess that I'll have to cut you down piece-by-piece in order to bury you. But I may have to warn you, it's going to hurt a lot."
"Heh, heh, heh…" Toby chuckled, making Akame narrowed her eyes. "It's going to 'hurt,' you say?" A small smile spread across his face. "Sorry to burst your bubble, but…" Akame's grip on Murasame tighten when she saw a blade suddenly sprouted from where Toby's right arm had been a few moments ago. "I can't even feel what pain is…" Without another word, Toby rushed at the raven-hair assassin, raising his new blade arm to cut her down.
Akame locked blades with Toby and began struggling to overpower him, hoping that the Danger-Beast's powers and the necklace Tatsumi gave her can help her against her fight. She then widened her eyes when she thought of that, and called out, "Killer Raven! Come out!" The necklace Akame had around her neck answered her master's call as a black, female raven came flying out of out of the necklace and let out a huge,
"SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH!"
'What is that?!' Toby thought, staring at the raven with slight fear on his face. The raven narrowed her red eyes at Toby before flying to her master and engulfed her in a hug, making an aura of darkness erupted from the place where Akame stood. Toby felt sweat on his face and back when he saw the aura, and he jumped back, away from the aura of darkness. He became tense when the aura of darkness disappeared and Akame stood there with her eyes closed.
Akame seemed to change when the raven engulfed her whole body. Her skin has become completely white, and her beautiful black hair has become mid-night. Her outfit has also changed, something that shocked Toby and Lubbock, who had finished killing the two massive men that blocked him. Instead of pink pajamas, she was wearing a long, black coat that went to her feet and was a bit torn, a black V-shape shirt that exposed a bit of her cleavage, a black skirt that went to her lower thighs, and black shoes. A cool breeze filled the hall, making Akame's coat moved backwards.
There was silence in the hallway as Toby and Lubbock stared at Akame, who still had her eyes closed. But after a moment, she slowly opened her eyes, and Lubbock and Toby were stunned when they saw Akame's eyes. The white sclera had changed into pure black, like her mid-night hair. Her eyes were still red, but it had a tint of yellow in them, and the iris circle was also yellow. Instead of a black dot as a pupil, the pupil was cross-slitted.
Without a word, Akame vanished and reappear in front of Toby, who widened his eyes in shock at the sheer speed the red-eye assassin had. He didn't even see her coming towards him! Panicking, he tried to raise his blade arm, only to hiss again when Akame raised her Murasame up in the air and sliced his left arm off, making the arm hit the floor with a thud.
"What amazing speed you have, miss Akame." Toby complimented, staring at Akame in awe. "And what an amazing and beautiful raven and necklace you have. How did you get that?"
"That would be telling…" Akame's voice was also different, shocking Lubbock and Toby. It was high pitch and had an echo in it, like there were two other voices in her vocal cord. She was waving her finger at Toby, with a small smile on her face. She had a feeling that someone might be listening to her, and she wasn't going to tell Toby that Tatsumi made the necklace for her, including the Danger-Beast powers. Her smile vanished when a gun suddenly sprouted on Toby's left arm.
"If you won't tell me…" Toby muttered, looking at the ground for a moment before glaring at changed Akame. "Then I'll have to force you!" He then rushed at Akame, twisted his body around to cut Akame in half with his blade. Akame blocked it, though she widened her eyes slightly when she saw a gun sprang out of Toby's mouth.
'Need to act fast!' Akame thought, darting her head to the right as Toby fired the gun. The raven-hair assassin's incredible speed and reaction paid off as the bullet whizzed past Akame's head, hitting some of her hair.
'That reaction speed was amazing.' Toby thought, amazed at the young assassin's speed, and Akame took advantage of Toby's distracted state by slicing his left leg off, blood spurting on the ground. Hopping on one leg, Toby gritted his teeth, cursing himself for getting distracted, and he turned around to aim his gun arm at her.
"Now, Lubbock!" Akame called out, noticing that the green-hair assassin has finished killing the two larger pawns and had been watching her fight Toby all along, something that pissed her off a little. 'Why was he standing there instead of helping me?!
Lubbock got out of his stunned state and quickly arrange his threads into a spear that he made before and hurled the weapon at Toby, piercing through his chest. Toby let out a gasp when he felt the spear pierced through his chest and he collapsed to his one knee.
"You little…" Toby struggled to say, coughing out a mouthful of blood. "Don't you know that it's…rude to interrupt someone's fight…?"
"Says the man and his pawns storming into our base without an invite." Lubbock retorted with a cocky smirk, shoving his hands into his pockets. "I mean, you didn't let us give us a chance to tidy the place, like put out fine glasses and silverware. Not to mention, you didn't let us cook food, and besides…" His smirk changed into a grin as he turned to the changed Akame. "I couldn't sit back and watch my friend fight the enemy by herself."
"Bullshit, Lubbock." Akame said, glaring at the green-hair assassin for a moment, which made him freeze and lost the grin on his face. "You were watching me fight Toby the whole time after you were down with those two large pawns." A smirk spread across her face when she saw Lubbock paled dramatically. 'How you like me now, bitch?'
"I see…" Toby said, looking at the ground. "Even if the fight was one-on-one…I've still probably would have lost…" Releasing a light sigh, he turned to lock eyes with Akame. "Please tell me, miss Akame…how was I inferior to you?"
"Your attacks were aggressive and fierce…" Akame replied, slowly walking towards the machine-type person, losing the smirk on her face. "But each attack left you exposed, not giving you a chance to defend yourself."
"I see…so my defense was weak?" Toby muttered, blood trinkled down from the corners of his mouth. "I supposed not feeling pain made me feel invincible, and it allowed me to get cocky…" He then lowered his head in defeat and exposing his neck for Akame to slice off. "Well, you have bested me, miss Akame…so I will admit defeat and allow you to finish me off."
"If you joined the Revolutionary Army…" Akame said with a hint of sadness in her voice. "You could've been a valuable asset, and fight for the righteous cause…" In one swift motion, Akame decapitated Toby with a single clean swipe with Murasame. The slice was so fast that no blood stained the blade. When Toby's headless body hit the floor with a sickening thud, Akame released a sigh and sheath her Teigu. Her form hasn't deactivated, and she was planning to stay in it until the battle is over.
She then turned to face the pale Lubbock, who flinched, thinking that he was going to get beat up for watching Akame's fight. "Relax, Lubbock. I'm not going to hurt you." Akame said, a teasing smirk appeared on her face. She still wants to tease the green-hair assassin more.
"You're not?" Lubbock asked, looking at Akame.
"No, but I really want to." Akame replied, losing the smirk and glared at Lubbock, making the green-hair assassin gulped audibly. "I really want to beat the shit out of you for not only watching me fight Toby, but also walking in Tatsumi's room and saw Leone and Sayo naked." Lubbock's face became white as a ghost when she said that. How did she know that he walked into Tatsumi's room?!
"Sayo told me." Akame said, reading Lubbock's thoughts and walked over to him. The green-hair assassin couldn't move as he looked at those red-yellow crossed-slitted eyes, reminding him of Tatsumi's crimson crossed- eyes. "I'm going to warn you, Lubbock. Me, Leone, Sheele and Sayo are with Tatsumi, and if I found out that you peek at us when we are taking a bath or walked in Tatsumi's room to see one of us naked, I will castrate your balls and let Leone and the other girls beat the shit out of you. Do you understand me?"
Lubbock dumbly nodded, still staring at Akame's eyes. Never in his whole life had he heard Akame swear or even threated someone before. His entire body was shaking, and to make it worse, Akame was releasing an aura of darkness that was huge and sinister.
Akame smiled, glad that her threat was clear. "Good, I hope that teaches you a lesson, Lubbock." She said, patting her friend on the head. She then turned around and walked to where the others were. "Come on, we need to regroup with the others."
'HOLY SHIT! SINCE WHEN DID AKAME BECOME SO FUCKING SCARY!?' Lubbock thought, gawking at the changed Akame in fear. Shivers of fear ran down his spine when he remembered those crossed-slitted eyes and he placed a hand over his groin. 'And she wasn't lying when she made her threat. With everything that's been happening lately, when Tatsumi got captured, I can't help but worry about my balls…'
(Outside Night Raid's base; With the Others.)
"Hey, guys…" Sheele said, gaining everyone's attention, as she pointed to the large Danger-Beast that was flying in the sky above them. "What is that thing that's flying above us?"
"Is it an enemy?" Sayo asked, grabbing an arrow from her quiver that was hanging on her back, and narrowing her eyes at the Air Manta. "If it is, then we might be in trouble. I don't have my explosive arrows, and Spear can't throw her spears that high in the air."
"I don't think it's an enemy, Sayo." Leone said, crossing her arms under her chest and stared at Air Manta with a frown. "It seemed to know where our base was, and from what I can sense, there are four people on it."
"Let me check it out before we get crazy ideas." Mine said, opening a compartment near Pumpkin's stock. Pulling out a tech scouter, Mine zeroed in on the Danger-Beast to see if it is friendly or not. However, Mine's eyes widened when she saw who was riding on top of the Air Manta. "Hey, the Danger-Beast is on our side, guys!"
"What makes you say that?" Spear asked, twirling a spear in her hand while putting Extase on her back. The blonde girl was still a bit shock that she was the new user of Extase, and she was planning to not let Sheele down.
"The Boss and Bulat are riding on it!" Mine exclaimed, making everyone widened their eyes, except Tatsumi, who was smirking in his helmet. "And I can see that they brought reinforcements!"
"Damn, that's good timing." Sheele said with a smirk, putting one hand on her hips. "Now we have the upper hand to win this fight."
"Right, but that's not fair!" Tatsumi exclaimed, crossing his arms over his chest and glared at the Air Manta, making it squirm a bit from sensing a glare.
"How?" Mine asked, quirking a brow in confusion, and judging from everyone raising a brow, they want to know what Tatsumi's answer is.
"Well, the Boss and Bulat are making their epic entrance on that Danger-Beast, and they look badass on it!" Tatsumi replied, letting out an annoyed grunt. "I want to ride on it to become badass, too!" He then stomped on the ground on one foot in anger and childishly, earning sweat-drops from Spear, Leone, Sheele, an annoyed look from Mine and a face-palm from Sayo.
"Here we go with the child temper bullshit…" Sayo groaned, pinching the bridge of her nose in annoyance. She was embarrassed as hell that her boyfriend was being a child. She then turned her head away and put her hands on her face. "And I'm so embarrassed that Spear had to see that."
"Fufufufu, you have to admit, Sayo, that Tatsumi is cute when he does this." Leone said, giggling at her boyfriend's antics. It was so funny that Tatsumi would do anything to become badass and cool, while denying that he was cute.
"I guess you're right." Sayo said with a small smile, taking her hands off her face and turned to look at the blonde.
"And I guess that what makes our Tatsumi, Tatsumi." Sheele said, walking up to the pair and smiling softly at the armor man. "He can go from being a handsome and badass man to a child in a blink of an eye." The two assassin girls nodded, smiling softly at their boyfriend.
"This isn't the time to be worrying about being cool and badass!" Mine yelled, a tick mark on her head and her eyebrow was twitching in annoyance. 'This is the guy I'm falling in love with? He's nothing but a child!'
"But Mine! You don't understand!" Tatsumi yelled, turning to look at the pink-hair sniper like she had grown a second head. "When you're an assassin, you have to do anything to become badass! Including making an epic entrance! That's an important lesson that you need to learn, Mine!"
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life!" Mine screamed, grabbing her hair with one hand. 'What is going on in that head of yours, Tatsumi!? 'When you're an assassin, you have to do anything to become badass! That's an important lesson that I need to learn!' Bullshit!'
"Alright, you two, that's enough!" Sheele said, walking towards the two bickering assassins and stand in-between them. "As much as we want to listen to you two, we have a battle we need to finish."
"Sorry, Sheele…" Tatsumi and Mine both muttered, both embarrassed by their bickering.
"Mine's right, Tatsumi." Leone said, walking up to them. "This isn't the time be distracted about being cool. And besides…" She smirked, and turned to look at Mine, who was gazing at her suspiciously. "Our little pink-hair sniper doesn't want you getting hurt."
"She's right, Tatsumi." Mine agreed, surprising everyone. "I don't want you to get hurt." It took a moment before she realized what she just said. 'LEONE, WHAT THE HELL?! YOU TRICKED ME SO I CAN SAY WORRIED THINGS ABOUT TATSUMI!'
'(Sigh) Can she just kiss him already?' Sayo thought, rolling her eyes. 'It really was fun at first, teasing her about her crush, but it's starting to get annoying. Plus, Tatsumi likes her too, but hasn't made a move yet. Is he waiting until she makes a move?' It was then she noticed that Spear looked a little depressed before the blonde covered it up. 'It seems that Spear also has a crush on Tatsumi, and from what I've heard from Sheele, she kissed him, and would sigh happily when Tatsumi is mentioned. Tatsumi really is popular with the ladies.'
She chuckled silently as she watched Mine shouting at Leone, who had a huge grin on her face before leaning onto Tatsumi. However, Sayo had a frown on her face as she gazed at Tatsumi. 'I don't get it. How did Tatsumi got that Teigu? He couldn't have gotten it from the village elder, we don't have Teigu's, and we never heard of them before. But...there's something different about him. When me, him and Ieyasu were growing up, he was a normal kid like the rest of the children, but now, he has become more serious than ever, more mature, and more…emotional, like he saw something he couldn't believe. Could it be that he's carrying a huge secret, and it has something to do with us? He did look incredibly happy when he saved Spear.' Sayo then narrowed her eyes at her boyfriend. 'I don't know what you're hiding, Tatsumi, but we will find out. And when the time comes, you're not bullshitting your way out of it.'
What Sayo didn't notice was that Tatsumi read her thoughts and frown inside his helmet. He knew that sooner or later, he'll have to reveal his secret, but he didn't know that Night Raid was getting suspicious of him. He sighed heavily, wondering if he should tell them now, or after he convinces Esdeath to join their side.
'I'll tell them after I get Esdeath to join our side.' Tatsumi thought, making up his mind. 'Since I'm going to see her again soon, I need to come up with something to get her to join. I could mention a contest that we can do, and that will be the only way to get her on our side. But what should the contest be?'
"I'm so glad you guys are okay!" A familiar voice said, breaking Tatsumi's thoughts, and he turned around to see Akame and Lubbock running towards them, which the former was speaking. Tatsumi realized that Akame looked different, and it took him a moment that she had used her necklace's power. "We cleared all those creeps inside our hideout!"
"Akame, is that you?" Leone asked, looking at the changed Akame with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. 'She looks like an angel!' It was then she noticed the red necklace that Akame had on her neck. 'Could our necklaces have a power form?'
Sayo, Mine, Spear and Sheele turned to look at Akame, and their reaction was the same as Leone. Their eyes widened and their jaws dropped to the ground. 'That's Akame?! She looks like an angel! And how did she turn into that?!' They thought, wondering how Akame changed into that form before noticing Akame's red necklace. 'Does our necklaces have powers in them?'
"If you guys are wondering how Akame turned into that, it was her necklace." Tatsumi explained, earning everyone's attention. "The necklaces I made have powers in them, including a spirit of an animal. If you are in struggling against a tough opponent, and can't beat him/her, just call out your spirits name, and it will move around for a moment before engulfing you in an aura."
"He's right." Akame agreed, nodding her head while shocking the others with her voice. "I was fighting a machine-type person, and I called out my spirit. I've named it Killer Raven." She then smiled softly as a small, black raven came out of her necklace and flew around for a bit before landing on her shoulder. It let out a soft screech, making the girls cooed at it.
However, the peace moment was ruined when a large group of Stylish's soldiers surrounded them, making everyone got into their battle stance. "Damn, there's still more of these bastards." Tatsumi said, summoning his Dragon Wrath. The dragon spear let out a roar at the Stylish's soldiers, making them a bit scared.
"I got good news, guys." Lubbock said, moving his hands to retract the wires that were outside. "I'm not picking up any of these bastards on my wires, so this has to be the last of them."
"Yeah, I'm not smelling anymore of these creeps either." Leone said with a feral grin, punching her palm. "Let's go wild and kick some asses!"
'Stylish is about to get pissed any moment.' Tatsumi thought, laughing inwardly. 'I can imagine the look on his face when he hears that we are immune to his trump card.' Gripping Dragon Wrath tighter, Tatsumi walked forward and shouted, "Alright, guys! Let's teach these creepy bastards a lesson!"Everyone was surprised at Tatsumi's sudden shout before smirking.
"Sounds good to me!" Leone exclaimed, baring her fist and got in her battle stance, which was getting on all fours. She then surrounded herself in a yellow aura, making her more intimidated.
"Who put you in charged?" Mine asked with a smirk, as she stood next to Tatsumi and ready Pumpkin. "But we need to teach these guys a lesson for barging into our base uninvited."
"We've got your back, Tatsumi." Akame said, unsheathing Murasame and surrounded herself in a red aura. She then got into her fighting stance.
"It's time to finish this battle." Sheele said, cracking her knuckles and grinned devilishly. "And I'm going to enjoy killing these creeps."
'It's time for me to use Extase.' Spear thought, putting her spear away and grabbed Extase. 'I won't let Sheele down.'
"Okay, let's batt-" Tatsumi stopped talking when all his comrades let out a grunt and became still. Tatsumi became worried that the necklace's immune ability didn't work, only to sigh in relief that everyone can move. All his comrades were surrounded in colorful auras. Akame's aura is red, Sheele's is purple, Mine's is pink, Sayo's is black, Lubbock's is green, Leone's is yellow, and Spear's is golden. "Are you guys alright?!"
"We're fine." Mine grunted, breathing heavily for a moment before her breath turned to normal. "But I have a feeling that there's something surrounding the area." She then turned to Leone, who was leaning onto Tatsumi. "Leone, can you smell anything in the air?"
Leone sniffed the area for a moment before grimacing. "Yeah, there's something in the area, alright." She replied, narrowing her eyes. "Poison is around us."
(With Stylish.)
"That's impossible!" Eyes shouted, staring at the Night Raid members with pure disbelief on his face. 'Master Stylish is not going to like this.'
"What do you mean, Eyes?" Stylish asked, turning to face the eye-creation with a frown on his face. "What's impossible?"
"The poison isn't working on Night Raid!" Eyes reported, still staring at the Night Raid members. "They're completely immune to it!"
"WHAT?!" Stylish roared, turning to look at Night Raid's base, his face filled with shock, disbelief and rage. "THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE! The ace I used was an extremely powerful drug that can paralyzed anyone! How can Night Raid be immune to it?!" To resist Stylish's drug is an insult to the doctor. How can Night Raid resist's Stylish's most powerful drug?!
"They seemed to be wearing necklaces." Eyes reported, noticing glowing objects around Night Raid's necks. "Do you think that the necklaces are making them immune to your poison, Master Stylish?"
"Hmm, you might be absolutely right…" Stylish mused to himself, before gaining a smirk. "But don't worry, Night Raid might be able to resist the poison, but our pawns can get those necklaces off them." He was surprised to see someone created resisted necklaces, and he made it stylishly! That person has earned his respect, and he must meet this person.
'I must capture that person to see how he made them!' Stylish thought with glee, staring at Night Raid's base with a dark look in his eyes.
"Ah!" Nose suddenly exclaimed, remembering something. "Master Stylish, would our own men be in danger as well?" He may be one of Stylish's top creations, but he was concerned about Stylish's men.
"I have already made an antidote for our men." Stylish replied, crossing his arms and winked at Nose. "And you are resistant to it, Nose." Suddenly, Stylish had a small blush on his face and scratched his cheek. "Though…I didn't want to use my powerful drug on those healthy Night Raid pigs…and creating this one batch took a long time, so It's quite precious to me…" He then fell on one knew and spoke in a dramatic voice. "But I had no choice! Night Raid were killing my precious pawns!"
Stylish's display caused Ears, Nose and Eyes to gush out,
"That's our Master Stylish! Always caring about his pawns!"
"He's too kind and a mastermind!"
"Such a great and handsome man!"
(Back with Night Raid.)
"Can any of you guys still fight?" Tatsumi asked, swirling his staff around in a circle, creating a ring of fire to protect his comrades from Stylish's soldiers.
"The poison is draining our strength," Akame said, standing up with her Murasame dug into the ground, while her spirit, Killer Raven, was letting out an angry screech for harming it's master. "But I think we can." It took a moment, but all the Night Raid members were back to normal, though they were starting to get a bit nauseous, except Tatsumi. "We need to get out of this area as fast as we can." She can feel a tiny bit of her strength leaving her.
"Alright, as soon as I get rid of the fire, we rush at them." Tatsumi said, waving Dragon Wrath to the right, dispelling the fire. "Ready, guys?" Everyone nodded, getting into their battle stance. "On three, we run at them. One…two-"
Before Tatsumi can say three, something had crashed in the middle of the large group of Stylish's pawns; kicking up a large wall of debris, wind and dust, making the Night Raid members covered their eyes.
"What was that?!" Mine screamed, a large gust of wind blowing their way, almost sending her flying.
When the dust began to clear, everyone's eyes widened when they spotted a figure crouching on top of one of Stylish's pawns; its large staff shattering its skull. The figure stood up and everyone got a closer look at the person. The figure was a massive man with dark blue hair, pale skin with a bit of tan, and blue eyes. There were two bison-like horns coming out of the sides of his head. He was wearing a black, white and red robes and Japanese shoes for footwear.
"Who's…that guy?" Spear asked, eyeing it warily and grabbed a spear from her back.
"Is he with the enemy?" Leone asked, as she and Sheele slid into their battle stance and narrowed their eyes at the large man.
"No," Tatsumi replied, grinning happily inside his helmet. After waiting for a month, all the members of Night Raid were finally reunited. "he's on our side, guys."
(In the Air Above Night Raid's base; With Najenda.)
"If we go down there, it could get dangerous, Chelsea, Bulat." Najenda said, turning to face the hooded figure and Bulat that were still on the Air Manta.
"Understood, Boss." Chelsea said, saluting to her new boss.
"Boss, Zayir can sense poison in the air where the others are." Bulat reported what his spirit told him, before looking where his comrades were and let out a sigh of relief. "But there is good news, I can see that the others are wearing their necklaces, and they are immune to the poison."
"Tatsumi continues to surprise me every day." Najenda said, a small smile on her face before turning to the large man, who had landed in the battlefield. "Now! Exterminate all the enemies before you and keep my assassin's safe, Susanoo!"
"Understood." The large man, known as Susanoo, replied before walking towards the large wave of pawns before him. Swirling his staff around for a bit, he moved it to the side, and rapid spinning blades extended from the end of his staff. Susanoo then charged forward, heading straight to the army of Stlyish's soldiers, and as he got closed to them, he thrusted his staff forward, making the whirling blades shredding everything they touch; limbs were being cut off and a fresh coat of blood was painting the clearing.
As Susanoo kept fighting, a group of pawns tried to surround him, but one swipe of his staff reduced them into bloody chunks, and they fell to the ground with sickening thuds. Night Raid was watching the scene with wide eyes and awe expressions on their faces, except Tatsumi.
'He's strong…' Night Raid thought, staring at the huge carnage Susanoo created; the clearing was filled with dozens of dead bodies. 'He's just like Bulat…and Tatsumi…'
(Back with Stylish.)
"What the hell?!" Eyes exclaimed, watching a newcomer tearing through their forces. "That new guy is cutting our forces like insects! If he's a living person, why didn't the poison affect him?!" The poison is supposed to work on living people, so why isn't it not working on the new person?!
"Hmm, I don't know…" Stylish hummed, placing a hand on his chin and rubbed it as he thought of the solution why the poison isn't working on the newcomer. "He might have a Teigu that I'm not familiar with…" Having no other options left, Stylish pulled out small device from his pocket. "In that case…I guess I'll sacrifice my materials…with this." Pressing the red button on top of the device, Stylish smirked when he saw a large explosion that echoed in the distance. "Those pawns, that were fighting Night Raid, were packed with human explosives. There's no way he survived that attack."
If only he knew how wrong he was...
(Back with Night Raid.)
Night Raid watched in stunned silence as they stared at their newest member, Susanoo, stood before them, with his left arm blown off and dozens of other wounds across his body. But what shock them the most was that Susanoo wasn't screaming in pain, or even appeared to be in pain at all.
'How is he still standing?!' Night Raid thought, staring at the massive man in surprise. Suddenly, Susanoo's wounds began to bubble and smoke, causing everyone's eyes to widened. 'There's no way…'
"T-t-that's…" Mine stammered in shock, watching Susanoo's arm regenerate. "I don't believe it…"
"It's just like when Tatsumi battle Seryu's Teigu." Sheele breathed out, watching the sight before her as the wounds on Susanoo disappeared and he clenched his repaired fist.
"It's a Biological Teigu…" Mine said in awe, still staring at Susanoo in shock. "A Human Teigu!" She then quirked an eyebrow when she saw Susanoo staring at her and began walking towards her. "W-what do you want?" Mine became nervous when the Human Teigu kneeled next to her and reached out to touch her with his hands.
"Hey!" Leone exclaimed, preparing to rush over to stop the humanoid Teigu. "You better get-" She was cut off when she watched Susanoo fix Mine's disheveled hair. "Wait, what?"
"There!" Susanoo cheered, standing up. "Fixed and all better!"
"H-huh?" Mine muttered awkwardly, looking confused. "What's all fixed and better?"
'He's a neat freak?' Night Raid thought with a sweat-drops. 'Wasn't expecting that…'
Tatsumi, on the other hand, shook his head and silently chuckled. 'Some things are still the same.' He thought with a smile, as memories of Susanoo fixing everyone's hair and clothes and making food rushed into mind. The smile on his face was gone when he remembered how the Human Teigu died. 'I won't let that happened to him.'
Flying in the air above her assassin's, Najenda began scanning the surrounding area. 'Whoever released that poison would have to be in a good spot to observe the others...' She thought, looking around the cliffs that surrounded their base with her one eye narrowed. 'And the person would have to be upwind where the poison can't get to him.' She then gazed at the southwestern cliffs and had a feeling that the person had to be there.
"Bulat, can you use the binoculars to see if there's anyone at the southwestern cliffs?" Najenda asked, pointing to the southwestern cliffs. "I have a feeling that the person who is leading this attack is over there."
Bulat nodded and turned his gaze to the cliffs. After a moment, Bulat exclaimed, "I can see four figures at the edge of the cliff, Boss! Three men and a woman!"
Najenda smirked when she heard Bulat's report. "Perfect…" She then turned to Susanoo to give him new orders. "Susanoo! The enemies are cowering at the southwestern cliffs! Go there and exterminate them! And don't let them escape!"
"Understood!" Susanoo exclaimed, running towards the location where Stylish is.
"Hey, wait!" Tatsumi called out, running after Susanoo. "I'll back you up!" As he kept running, he looked up at the sky to see the Air Manta flying around in a circle. "Bulat, if you can hear me, jump off the Air Manta when you get close to the leader to back me and our new recruit up!"
"Got it!" Bulat yelled, equipping Incursio and walked towards the edge of the Air Manta, ready to jump off it.
'Alright, time to face that ugly transformation!' Tatsumi thought, as he continued running after Susanoo, ignoring the call of his friends and lovers.
(Cliffs to the Southwest; With Stylish.)
"We've been discovered, Master Stylish!" Eyes exclaimed, after hearing Najenda's exclamation, causing everyone around her to panic a bit. She felt a shiver of fear when she heard two targets heading straight for them. "There are two targets quickly approaching us!"
"Oh, dear!" Stylish yelled, backing up a bit. "There's no point of staying here! All we can do now is run!" He then turned around and began sprinting away. 'Poison doesn't work on Biological Teigu's! You must either destroy the core or immobilize the user!' However, before Stylish and his men can run away, they were stopped when the Air Manta did an extremely low over pass, knocking them off their feet. "My, my! Najenda will do anything to keep us from escaping!"
Just as Stylish and his men were getting back on their feet, Susanoo and Tatsumi caught up to them, and Bulat jumped off the Air Manta, crashing into the ground besides Tatsumi.
"Susanoo, you'll handle the guards." Tatsumi said, gripping Dragon Wrath for the upcoming battle that's about to happened. "Bulat, help me take down Stylish, and grabbed his Teigu."
"Roger." Bulat replied, equipping Neuntote and got into his fighting stance.
"I could've handled the enemy's myself." Susanoo said, slamming his staff to the ground. "But I welcome the assistance and I'll follow your command."
"There's nothing to be afraid of, Master Stylish!" Eyes exclaimed, standing in front of Stylish protectively with his arms spread out. "We won't let these assassins hurt you!"
"We're your guardians until the bitter end!" Nose exclaimed, getting into a sloppy fighting stance, something that made Tatsumi and Bulat laughed. "I swear that we'll protect you!"
'Oh, please! You don't stand a chance!' Stylish thought, gritting his teeth in frustration. 'I design you three for recon, not for fighting! And my poison didn't work on Night Raid, including that humanoid Teigu. That's cheating!' Letting out a noise of frustration, Stylish reached inside his pocket and pulled out a syringe that was filled with dark pink liquid. "It all comes down to this…" Grinning manically, Stylish slammed the needled into his right arm and pressed the plunger. "I'll have to brace myself and use the second ace up my sleeve! A serum that is filled with Danger-Beasts DNA! It's the only way to win!"
"Stay alert, guys." Tatsumi said, taking a cautious step back and became tense when he saw Stylish's body hideously morph and began to change. "I've got a bad feeling about this."
"Me too." Bulat agreed, gripping Neuntote tighter and surrounded himself in a blue aura, with his spirit demon, Zayir, snarling and growling at the enemy.
"As do I." Susanoo said, readying his staff and got into a battle stance. "Be prepared for anything that's about to happened."
"It's here! It's here! IT'S HEREEEEE!" Stylish yelled, laughing hysterically and evilly, sending chills of fear down his soldiers' spine, except the three Night Raid members, who became more tense than before. The crazed doctor's lower body has turned into a hideous monster that towered the treelines. The upper body remained human, but it had bulging veins and was muscular. Stylish was resting on top of the upper body, his hair turned white and became long and spiky at the back. "This is the ultimate form of stylishness! Now that I have merged with a Danger-Beast, I will blow everyone away!"
"How beautiful!" Nose exclaimed, blushing slightly at the sight of his beloved master.
"That's impressive, Master Stylish!" Eyes yelled, looking at the Human/Danger-Beast hybrid with amazement in his eyes.
However, both Eyes and Nose were completely caught off guard when Stylish grabbed them, raising them into the air with his giant hands. They then began to panic when a large mouth opened in the middle of Stylish's Danger-Beast body. "You two are my precious nutrition!" Stylish yelled in a crazed voice. "Let us become one!" The three Night Raid members watched the sight before them in horror as Stylish discovered his two pawns; his Danger-Beast body becoming bigger and more ugly.
As they continued watching Stylish changing, Tatsumi noticed that Ears was frozen in terror, her entire body shaking as she looked up at Stylish in fear. Her fear increased when Stylish said, "You're next, my dear! I need your nutrients in order to win against Night Raid!" She then turned around and began sprinting away.
'I've got to help her!' Tatsumi thought, rushing forward, snapping Bulat and Susanoo out of their horror state and rushed after him.
"NOOOOOOOO!" Ears screamed, looking behind her as she saw one of Stylish's arms reaching out to grab her, so she can be absorbed as well.
"Get the fuck away from her, you ugly bastard!" Tatsumi roared, using Dragon Wrath to burn Stylish's arm, and using the end of his staff to slice through the disgusting mass of flesh that tried to grab Ears.
"ARGHHH!" Stylish screamed in pain, recoiling backwards and grabbing his right arm, that was bleeding and burnt. "You little shit!"
"Let's get you out of here!" Tatsumi exclaimed, dismissing Dragon Wrath and picking up Ears, carrying her bridal-style. The young girl was still shaking in fear and all she could do was wrapped her arms around Tatsumi's neck.
"But why are you-"
"No time for talking!" Tatsumi yelled, dodging a sudden attack from Stylish, who had gotten over the pain on his arm, and send a punch towards him. The missed attack caused a huge crater in the ground. "I'm getting you out of here before taking down this ugly fucker!" He then extended his dragon wings and was prepared to fly. Before he did that, he turned around to look at Susanoo and Bulat. "Susanoo, Bulat, keep the doctor at bay! I'll be back with the rest of the group!"
"Understood!" Bulat and Susanoo replied, as they watched Tatsumi jumped into the air and fly off towards Night Raid's base.
"Get back here with my nutrition fuel, you little bastard!" Stylish roared, turning around to try chase after Tatsumi, but the Human/Danger-Beast hybrid was stopped when Susanoo and Bulat slammed their respective weapons into Stylish's chest.
"Damn, it seems that the moment he ate those two men…" Bulat began, gritting his teeth.
"His body has hardened, so our weapons would be useless." Susanoo finished, striking the crazy doctor again, sending him skidding back. "Interesting…"
"Fine! If I can't have her, I'll devour you two instead!" Stylish yelled, still in his crazed voice, charging towards Bulat and Susanoo.
(With Night Raid.)
"What is that thing?" Spear asked, pointing towards the large figure that was rising above the treeline, making Night Raid turned to look at it. They had finished killing the remaining pawns and were resting on the ground to catch their breaths.
"I don't know, but it's disgusting…" Mine said, gazing at the large figure and she felt a shiver ran through her body when she stared at it. "And when I look at it, it's like a monster."
"And Tatsumi is over there with that thing…" Sheele muttered, clutching a hand over her heart. 'Please come back to us, Tatsumi.'
"Don't worry about Tatsumi, Sheele." Akame said, walking up to Sheele and placed a hand on her shoulder. She was still in the form she used to fight Toby, and she decided to call the form Shadow Mode. "He'll come back, just like you said before having sex with him."
Spear and Mine blushed heavily for a moment before getting depressed. They then clenched their fists tightly and thought the same thing, 'I can't hold back on my feelings! I need to confess Tatsumi my feelings after the battle!'
"I know, but I can't help but worry about him." Sheele explained, looking at the distance. "I just wish that he-" She was cut off when something crashed landed near them, kicking up a small wall of dust and wind, making everyone getting into their fighting stance. When the dust settled, everyone widened their eyes when they saw Tatsumi crouching on the ground, carrying a very frighten and passed out girl in his arms. Sheele's eyes lit up when she saw her lover and rushed over to him. "Tatsumi, you're okay!"
"Who is that girl?" Leone asked, watching Tatsumi putting the girl on the ground gently.
"She's one of Stylish's soldiers." Tatsumi replied, instantly putting everyone back on edge.
"Then why is she here then?!" Mine exclaimed, aiming Pumpkin at Ears head. "She's with the enemy, we need to take her out!"
"No, don't!" Tatsumi yelled, standing up and moving in front of Ears, who twitched on the ground. "I saved her because Stylish was going to absorb her to become more powerful!" He then turned around and crouched down next to her. "When I was captured by Esdeath, and stayed the night at the palace, I was walking down a hallway when I heard Stylish talking to someone in a room, so I decided to listen. What I've heard completely made me angry and disgusted." He clenched his fist tightly, anger coursing through him.
"What did you hear, Tatsumi?" Leone asked, not going to like the answer.
Tatsumi took a deep breath to calm his anger. "Apparently, the soldiers we faced were once death row inmates…adults and children...they had no other options, and they wanted to live…so they let Stylish perform his horrible and disgusting experiments on them…"
"So, that's why the Minister likes throwing innocent people in prison and sending soldiers to kidnap children." Akame stated, staring at the passed-out girl with misty eyes. It was then she thought about her days when she was working in the Empire, how the doctors would experiment on people, turning them into killers, including her little sister. She then tightly balled her fist and swore that she would put a end to the Prime Minister.
"I can change her back to normal, but she won't have any memories about being Stylish's soldier." Tatsumi said, summoning Dragon Wrath and waved it over the unconscious girl a couple times, while mumbling quietly. When he finished, nothing seemed to happen, and Tatsumi frowned, wondering if he made a mistake. But suddenly, a red aura suddenly surrounded Ears and she was engulfed with a bright red light, making Night Raid turned their heads away from the light.
When the light disappeared, Night Raid turned to look at Ears, and what they saw completely took them off guard and widened their eyes.
Laying on the ground, where Ears was laying a moment ago, was a young girl that had to be five years old. Instead of having long, green hair, the young girl had short-purple hair that reached her neck. Her skin was pale that shined off the moonlight, and instead of having large ears, she had normal ears, much to Tatsumi's relief. The young girl was completely naked and was shivering from the cold, making Sheele taking off her purple jacket and wrapped it around the young girl before pulling her closed to her body.
"I-I-I can't believe it…" Sheele stammered, looking at the young child with a shock look. "I always knew that the Empire would experimented on adults, but to do it on child?!" She shrieked the last part, making the child in her arms squirmed a bit. "The Empire really is twisted and cruel…" She then had tears streaming down her face and hugged the child, her tears falling on the girl's head.
Night Raid was watching the sight before them with sad eyes. It really was cruel, to see a child be experimented on. Their sadness turned to anger, though none of their angers were greater than Tatsumi, who was surrounded in a red aura, with a spirit of a Tyrant standing behind him.
"So…what are we going to do with the child?" Sayo asked, trying to control the anger inside her, while trying not to cry. She couldn't believe that the Empire that she dreamed of, when she was a little girl, would be this cruel.
Before Tatsumi can answered, they heard a large explosion that was coming from where Susanoo, Bulat and Stylish were. "Sounds like things are getting rough over there." Mine said, turning her head to gaze at the Human/Danger-Beast hybrid.
"We'll discuss this later." Tatsumi said, standing up and turning around. "Right now, we need to take down Stylish and get his Teigu."
"Are you planning to fly around Stylish with your armor?" Spear asked, gesturing to the dragon wings on Tatsumi's back.
"Yep, but I'm going to use my shotgun to take his arms off." Tatsumi replied, switching his Dragon Wrath into Shadow Blaster. "After I shoot them off, Akame will fly close to Stylish and kill him."
"Wait, what do you mean, 'Akame will fly close to Stylish?'" Leone asked, repeating the last part. "Akame doesn't have wings!"
"She does have wings, when she's in that form she's using." Tatsumi replied, turning around to gaze at Leone. "I don't know what form she called it, but whenever she's using it, her strength and speed will increase, and she can fly." He then turned to Akame, who had a surprised look on her face. "In order to use your wings, or even use them, all you have to imagine them. Try it, Akame."
Akame closed her eyes and began doing what Tatsumi instructed. After a moment, she suddenly felt something flapping behind her back, and heard gasps of surprised. She then opened her eyes and turned around to see two big wings that were soft and black. Akame widened her eyes and turned to look at Tatsumi, who had taken off his helmet and smiled at her.
"These wings are so beautiful and soft." Akame said, reaching upwards to stroke her feather wings gently. "Thank you, Tatsumi." She then walked over to him and kissed him on the lips. Tatsumi returned the kiss and couldn't help but move his hand towards her wings and gently stroked it.
"You're welcome, Akame." Tatsumi replied, after breaking off the kiss and continued stroking the wings. "And you're right, these wings are soft." Just then, another explosion took place where Susanoo, Bulat and Stylish were. "We should get going and help them."
"Wait!" Mine exclaimed, walking up to Tatsumi. "I can help, too." She then pointed to Air Manta that was circling in the sky. "If you can get me up there, I can provide sniper support."
"Okay, but I hope that you're ready to fly." Tatsumi said, grinning evilly at Mine, making her shiver in fear before putting his helmet on. He then dismissed Shadow Blaster, scooped up Mine and carried her bridal-style, causing her to squeak in surprised and embarrassment. "Leone, Spear, Sayo, keep Sheele, Lubbock and the young girl save."
"Yes, sir!" Leone, Spear and Sayo said with grins, saluting to Tatsumi, causing him to smirk in his helmet.
"Alright, let's go, Akame! Hold on tight, Mine!" Tatsumi exclaimed, jumping in the air and began flapping his dragon wings, with Akame doing the same as him and they sped off into the sky, leaving Night Raid to look at them with awe looks.
After flying a few feet in the air, they suddenly stopped and turned around to see the Air Manta coming closed to them. "Alright, Mine! Here's your stop!" Tatsumi exclaimed, turning to look at Mine, who was wrapping her arms tightly around his neck. "Are you ready to fly towards the Air Manta?!"
"WAIT, WHAT?!" Mine screamed, turning to look at Tatsumi like he was crazy. "YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT?!
"Oh, this is going to be entertaining." Akame said, smirking as she flapped her wings besides Tatsumi. "And I get front row seats."
"Ready, Mine?!" Tatsumi asked, adjusting himself to throw Mine onto the Air Manta.
"NO! NO! NO! DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE THROW ME!" Mine screamed, struggling to make Tatsumi change his mind, but it wasn't working. "I'LL KICK YOUR ASS IF YOU DO IT!"
"Hey, Boss!" Tatsumi yelled, getting Najenda's and the hooded figure's attention. "Catch!" He then threw Mine at the Air Manta, who let out a huge,
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Najenda had a stun look on her face as she saw Mine coming straight at her, with Pumpkin in her hands. The boss of Night didn't have time to move as the pink-hair sniper collied into her, Mine's face in her huge breasts. Najenda groaned in pain before pushing Mine off her and glared at the person who threw Mine.
"TATSUMI, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Najenda roared at her best assassin, startling the hooded figure and Night Raid, including Bulat and Susanoo, who turned to see what the Boss was pissed was. "YOU COULD'VE INJURED MINE, OR ME!"
"DAMN YOU, TATSUMI! YOU SON OF A BITCH!" Mine screamed in fury, as she glared heatedly at her crush, who gave her a cheeky wave before flying away with Akame, who was laughing so hard.
(Five Minutes Later; Approaching the Southwest Cliffs in the Air.)
"I still can't stop laughing for what you did to Mine!" Akame said, trying to stop her laughter as she flew besides Tatsumi, but failed horribly. The raven-hair girl had tears of amusement running down her face as she remembered the scream that Mine did. "I've never heard Mine screamed like that before!"
"She's going to have my ass later." Tatsumi said, chuckling loudly and smirked in his helmet. "Including the Boss, too. And it was priceless to see the look on the Boss's face."
"Well, at least we have long range in the air." Akame said, as she saw the Air Manta flying near Stylish and a shot from Pumpkin echoing across the forest.
"Yep, now let's go help Bulat and Susanoo!" Tatsumi exclaimed, diving downwards a bit to go faster, with Akame behind him.
"HAHAHA!" Stylish laughed insanely, swinging his large fits at Susanoo and Bulat, who easily dodged the attack and began running around. "What's the matter, Biological Teigu and One-Hundred-Killer?! You two have been stalling the entire time!" It was then he noticed that Akame and Tatsumi were flying in the air, their wings flapping back and forth. "What the hell?! When did you two have wings?!"
"Why should we tell you?" Tatsumi asked in a cold and dark tone, with Akame nodding her head while glaring darkly at Stylish. "This battle has gone long enough and it's time to end this!"
"And for your information, Stylish, we were waiting for our reinforcements." Bulat said, as he and Susanoo finally began going on offensive and knocking Stylish back with their staffs. Bulat then jumped into the air and slashed through Stylish's left hand, making blood sprayed everywhere and taking the hand off his arm.
"OUCH!" Stylish roared in pain, moving backwards and glaring angrily at Bulat. 'THAT'S IT! I'LL CRUSH YOU ALL!" However, before Stylish can move, he was hit with a powerful shot from Pumpkin from behind, making him turn around.
"Stay the hell away from my friends, you bastard!" Mine yelled, firing another powerful shot at Stylish, causing him to fall on his back side, which caused the ground to shake a lot.
"Now's our chance, Tatsumi." Akame said, turning her head towards her lover. "Let's finished this."
the Starblaze user nodded before saying, "Let me injure him first before you fly in for the kill. Remember, aim the top part where Stylish is." Akame nodded, and Tatsumi began flying around Stylish and pulled out Shadow Blaster. The twisted doctor tried to hit Tatsumi when he was flying in the air with his remaining arm, but Susanoo jumped into the air and blocked it.
Tatsumi then fly high in the air and began powering up his Shadow Blaster, which was starting to surround itself in a red aura before the eye on top of the gun began glowing brightly. He then called out, "Bulat, Susanoo, get out of the way!" The two Night Raid members looked up to see a red aura around Tatsumi's weapon and got out the way, leaving the Human/Danger-Beast hybrid on the floor defenseless.
Bracing himself, Tatsumi aimed the gun at Stylish and pulled the trigger.
BANG!
A huge red-like energy bullet rushed at Stylish and created a large hole in the chest, making blood sprayed out of the wound. Stylish howled in pain as the bullet went through him, and that gave Akame a clear opening to finish the battle.
"GO, AKAME!" Tatsumi roared, loading another shot incase Stylish tried something. "FINISH HIM OFF!" Akame nodded, did a flip in the air, and flew straight at Stylish, drawing out her Murasame. Stylish opened his eyes to see a figure flying towards him, and he saw, to his horror, that it was Akame, with her deadly blade out. Too weak to even do anything, all Stylish can do was watched Akame getting closer to him.
"REST IN PIECES!" Akame screamed, slashing across Stylish's chest with Murasame; its demonic poison flooding his body, and black markings speared around.
"But…there was so many…" Stylish stuttered, staggering on his feet for a moment before starting to fall forward. "Human…experiments…that I want to do…why did I deserve…such…bad…luck…?" With a huge crash, Stylish fell to the ground and he died with a shock look on his face.
"This battle is over." Tatsumi said, landing on the ground and deactivated his armor. "Night Raid wins!" He then raised his arm in the air, earning a lot of cheers from his comrades. Akame landed next to Tatsumi, and with a bright glow from her necklace, she turned back to normal, ridding the mid-night hair, completely white skin, the cross-slitted eyes, including the clothes she was wearing. She was wearing her normal outfit when Tatsumi first met her.
"Consider yourself lucky, Stylish." Akame said, turning to face Stylish after she turned back to normal. "You died with a quick death."
"Come on, let's go meet with the others." Tatsumi said, and they began walking to the path that leads Night Raid's base.
"Great work, guys!" Leone cheered, as she, Sayo, Sheele, Spear and Lubbock appeared from the treeline, and walked into a clearing where the Boss can meet with them. Sheele was still holding the unconscious child in her arms.
"Hey, you changed back to normal, Akame." Lubbock pointed out, making everyone turned to look at the now normal Akame.
"Killer Raven told me in my mind that her powers were exhausted, and she needed to rest." Akame explained, placing a hand on her necklace, which was glowing a bit. "She really is a perfect companion to be with."
"Excellent job, everyone." Najenda said, as the Air Manta landed on the ground next to her assassins. The boss of Night Raid jumped off the Air Manta, along with Mine and the hooded figure. "All of you did well to defend our base from the evil Empire." She turned to face Stylish and released a sigh. "Once we get Stylish's Teigu, we need to head to a spot to lie low for a while we can get a new base."
"Hey, Boss." Tatsumi said, walking up to Najenda while being on guard. He wasn't sure if Najenda was still pissed for what he did, and he didn't want to get hit.
"What is it, Tatsumi?" Najenda asked, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it. She was still pissed on how Tatsumi threw Mine into her, and was wondering if she should hit him, or give him a lot of chores. But on the other hand, it was funny to hear Mine screaming, so she'll let this slide, for now.
"Once we arrive at the hiding spot, can we talk in private?" Tatsumi asked, making Najenda raising a brow. "It's about convincing someone leaving the Empire to join the Revolutionary Army."
"Oh, who is this person that you want to convince to join the Revolutionary Army, Tatsumi?" Najenda asked, taking a drag of her cigarette.
"Esdeath." Tatsumi replied, making Najenda widened her eye in shock and looked at him like he was crazy. She wasn't the only one as Bulat turned to look at Tatsumi with widened eyes that were filled with shock. "I have a way to convince her to switch sides."
"You must be out-" Najenda was about to say that Tatsumi was crazy, but she stopped when she saw the determination on his face. 'It seems that he would do anything to convince Esdeath to change sides.' After releasing a heavy sigh, Najenda took one last drag of her smoke before stomping it out. "Alright, I'll hear you out, Tatsumi. If you have a way to make Esdeath switch sides, I'm all ears. But know this, if she does help the Revolution, she will be your responsibility."
"Understood, Boss." Tatsumi said, bowing slightly. "I will take full responsible for her actions." This caused a smirk to spread across Najenda's face.
"You sure are quite an odd person, Tatsumi." Najenda said, chuckling lightly before giving him a proud grin. "But you're a damn fine assassin, one of my best actually, and I'm glad that you accepted Leone's invite to join Night Raid."
"Thanks, I can't imagine my life if I didn't join Night Raid." Tatsumi said with a small smile. He then lost the smile, making Najenda losing her grin. "But there's something else we need to talk about."
"What is it?" Najenda asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"This child, Boss." Sheele said, making Tatsumi and Najenda turned to look at Sheele, who was listening to the conversation, and presented the boss of Night Raid the child in her arms. Najenda widened her eyes and gave Tatsumi a look that said, 'Explain.'
Tatsumi took a deep breath and began explaining what happened, how he saved Ears from being devour by Stylish, how he used his powers to turn her back to normal, but the cost of losing her memoires, and how he heard a conversation that Stylish has been turning inmates into his soldiers. When he finished, Najenda was shaking in anger, while releasing a bloodlust that made Night Raid freeze.
"Those bastards…" Najenda spoke quietly, though everyone can hear the rage in her voice. She then took a deep breath to calm herself and turned to look at Tatsumi. "I am glad that you used your powers to change an experimental person back to normal, Tatsumi, but what are we going to do with her?"
"Well…" Tatsumi said, scratching his cheek nervously, wondering if Najenda would accept it. "I was wondering…if you would let me and Sheele adopt her…"
There was a long silence as everyone, including the hooded figure that was hiding behind a tree, stared at Tatsumi with wide eyes, though Sheele's eyes were the widest of them all. Did her lover wanted to adopt the child that was in her arms? She looked down at the unconscious child, who had a small smile on her face before snuggling into Sheele, before looking up at Tatsumi with tears in her eyes.
"Y-y-you w-w-want to a-a-adopt the c-c-child and w-w-we become her p-p-p-parents?" Sheele stammered, feeling that her legs were about to give out, and Tatsumi walked over to her and gently took the child in his arms as Sheele collapse to the ground.
"You don't want to?" Tatsumi asked with hint of sadness in his voice. The purple-hair assassin can tell that her words must've broken the man's heart.
"NO!" Sheele quickly said, shaking her head rapidly. "I want to adopt the child too, Tatsumi. But it's just, we're assassins, and we've never had any experience with a child before, nor even spend time with one." She then looked down to the ground. "And besides…how will she react when she finds out what we are?"
"We don't have to tell her that, Sheele. What the girl needs is love." Tatsumi said, crouching on the ground, while adjusting the child in his arms to a more comfortable position, and gently placed a hand on Sheele's shoulder, making the purple-hair assassin lock gazes with Tatsumi. "Before I changed her back to normal, I was reading her mind to find out much about her. She lost her parents during a village raid, and she got captured and was put in a dark cell in the palace. When she was on death row, she was one of the people that went up to Stylish to be experimental on." He turned to look at the child. "I don't want to give her away to a random village, and I really want to adopt her."
He then to turn around to look at Najenda, who was watching him with tears in her one eye. "Boss, is it alright she stays with us?" He all but pleaded to the woman. "I'll do anything, just please let her stay with us."
Najenda was convincing herself what to do. On one hand, she did not want a child to be with a group of assassins, and they should find a village where they can take care of the child. That was her plan to do, but after hearing what Tatsumi said, she starting to think that they should keep the child. And if she was going to be honest, the child is cute and innocent.
'Maybe we should let the child stay.' Najenda thought, a soft smile on her face. 'Not only will it make everyone happy, but the child can make the girls understand how to be a mother.' Still having the smile on her face, Najenda said, "Very well, Tatsumi. The child can stay with us." She was earned with surprised looks from everyone.
"Really?" Tatsumi asked, looking at Najenda with wide eyes. "You mean it?"
"Yes, Tatsumi." Najenda nodded, still smiling. "She can stay with Night Raid. To be honest, I really want the child to be with us to teach the girls here a lesson."
"And that would be?" Mine asked, quirking an eyebrow.
"To teach you how to be a parent." Najenda replied, making the girls blushed a bit, but they did have a thoughtful look on their face, and they are considering asking Lubbock to grab books about raising a child when they get a new base. The boss of Night Raid then turned a nearby treeline. "How long are you going to hide behind that tree and eavesdrop? Since you are Night Raid's newest member, come out and introduce yourself…Chelsea."
Tatsumi then felt a wave of unpleasant memories rushing into his mind that he wanted to forget, and he gave the child back to Sheele and stood up. Just then, a hooded figure emerged from a tree. "Shoot, you caught me." A feminine voice said underneath the hood, taking a lollipop out of her mouth. "And I thought that I was being stealthy." The figure then pulled the hood off her and everyone can see what she looked like.
The figure was a young woman that had auburn hair that was long and reached below her back, pale skin and red eyes that were bright and playful. On her head was a pair of black headphones that had a butterfly symbol on them. Her outfit was a long, white sleeve shirt, with the collar tied with a red ribbon. On top of the white shirt was a black vest that had red outlines. She wore a red checkered mini skirt and black leather below-the-knee boots.
"The names Chelsea." The auburn-hair girl's voice was sweet and had a hint of teasing in it. She then extended a hand out to Tatsumi, who still had unpleasant memories rushing into his head. "What's up with you?" Chelsea quirking an eyebrow, snapping her fingers in front of Tatsumi, making the unpleasant memories disappeared.
Tatsumi shook his head before saying, "Sorry, just remembered something I want to forget." He then offered his hand out for Chelsea to take. "My name's Tatsumi."
'Chelsea, I will make sure that Kurome won't kill you.' Tatsumi thought, as a memory of Chelsea's head impaled on a pole flooded his mind, making him gritted his teeth inwardly.
The battle is over! Night Raid has won and defeated Stylish! Night Raid also has new recruits and Sheele and Tatsumi has adopted a child! Things are becoming exciting!
I don't have an idea for a name for the child yet, but it will be revealed in the next chapter. When I wrote that Tatsumi was going to adopt Ears, I wanted to make that she changed back into a normal human before she was experimented on. And for why the hair's purple, I don't know. The thought popped into my head.
In a future chapter, I will write that Tatsumi will save three girls: Air, Luna and Fal. They will be the same age as Tatsumi's and Sheele's adoptive daughter, and they will be adoptive.
