Angel: I don't normally do this, but if I don't address this now, I won't stop hearing about it until the end of time. So I've gotten several requests recently to things ranging from 'let's make Ash good' or 'let Bolo and Kevin stay alive' or 'I don't like the season 3 ending.'

Okay, I know that I'm not the only person who is not a fan of all of the character death (well, most of them, I definitely am all for Todd dying since he was a jerk). I'm still pretty mixed about Clarence dying, though. But just because I changed Fox's death shouldn't mean that I'm automatically gonna change EVERY single death in the second half of this season. If you really wanna get technical about this, AVA was the first death, which went unchanged in this narrative.

It's great that you guys think that Ash deserves to stay good and that Kevin and Bolo should stay alive and all, but let me bring this up: Ash is the reason that Invictus is out of Final Space! And let's not forget that she only went crazy AFTER she learned about Little Cato's parents. If you recall, she didn't show any signs of insanity before finding out about the truth in the minutes prior to that moment. You can't just expect her to not be angry about that. Especially since Avocato and Gary did not tell anyone else, and hid the truth from the group.

'Oh, let's just have Ash NOT have an understandable reaction to a lie that changed everything and it's a big deal', no. I will not say that her reaction isn't warranted, because in reality to me it is. She can't trust them anymore, and I cannot believe that she wouldn't get pissed upon hearing the truth. Especially after her brother died in canon, and Invictus was manipulating her from the start anyway.

As for Bolo and Kevin, Kevin to me heroically sacrificed himself for the group to defeat the Lord Commander, which didn't happen, so it was all for nothing. That was the point of the scene. It's basically the same thing with Clarence: He sacrificed his life to open the bridge, and they ended up not using it in the end, so in the end it was pointless (even if they don't know he's dead). If Kevin hadn't given up his life, they wouldn't have even launched the KVN Net in the first place because it was a manual job.

Bolo died after the Lord Commander became a Titan to showcase how powerful he is in his new form. And he's no longer there to guide them or help them anymore. Again, this is the point of the scene. If OTHER Titans can't defeat the Lord Commander, which we see later in The Dead Speak, Bolo is no different. He's not invincible to the Lord Commander, and neither is his own race.

If I had changed the opening scene from the Happy Place, would you argue that it would make the episode better? No! Because executive meddling is all over that episode, and the setting was largely changed from the creator's vision, which is why it's one of his least favorite episodes of season 2.

And another thing, if you're phrasing something like 'you need to have Bolo and Kevin spared,' I'm gonna have a problem taking any requests seriously. I already had to deal with something similar to all of this in my Big Hero 7 Series story, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna let that happen again to me. So whatever happens in this story will happen, and I'll be deleting any more reviews like this in the future.

It's not gonna work on me a second time, fam. If you have a problem with what I've stated today, so be it. And this is hardly why I give into fan demand anymore.
