Orion's Perspective

"Ha! You owe me zeni!" Piccolo told Tien.

"Oh no…" Tien muttered.

"Alright, what did Krillin do?" Bulma asked.

"He crushed the remote." Piccolo told us.

"He did WHAT?!" Tien shouted.

"That was twenty hours of my life; that DICK!" Bulma added.

"And possibly the rest of it if Vegeta follows suit." I sighed.

"I don't understand!" Tien shouted. "All he had to do was push the button and blow up the...the girl…"

"Oh, that makes sense." Bulma sighed.

"I knew it…" I muttered. Piccolo was about to say something, but his expression changed to pure dread.

"Oh no, god damn him!" He shouted.

"Ok, now what did Vegeta do?" Bulma asked.

"He's letting Cell absorb 18!"

"Well, looks like nobody wins that bet…" Tien said.

"Well, I technically do." Bulma said to try to lighten the mode.

"No, no...just wait for it. Trunks is screwing up right now, I imagine." I told them.

"What? How?" Piccolo asked me.

"Give it a few minutes. It'll become clear if I'm thinking about this correctly." I told them as we continued to watch everything play out. That's when we all felt it. Cell had gotten his perfect form.

"Hey, so, I can't sense power levels, but I can feel that." Bulma told us in a horrified voice. "Does that mean anything?"

"We're fucked…" Piccolo answered.

3rd Person

Cell was Ecstatic. He was finally in his perfect form. Everything about it felt...well, perfect. He moved around and tested out how his body felt as everyone around him stared in horror. "So, who's first?" He asked.

"GIVE HER BACK!" Krillin screamed as he activated a Kaioken x35 and threw a powerful Destructo Disk at Cell. Cell looked at the disk and smirked as he quickly swiped his hand at it. Everyone watched as the Destructo Disk was easily cut in half by a green energy sword that surrounded Cell's hand.

"Ah, a volunteer." Cell smirked as he vanished right in front of Krillin, punched him in the gut before kicking him across the entire island.

"Krillin!" Trunks shouted as he flew after the monk. Cell continued to test out his body but then turned to 16, who was right behind him.

"Hey."

"Hello."

"So, are we cool?"

"You ate my family!"

"Hey, don't lose your head! They were my family too." Cell chuckled. Cell then felt something as he looked over to see Nappa with veins popping out of his skull. Nappa then quickly swiped his finger up, causing a massive explosion to engulf everything around Cell. Nappa looked on as Cell walked out of the explosion completely unharmed.

"Oh please, you big, stupid brute. As if you could take me down with that!" Cell told Nappa as he began to do a similar pose to Nappa. "Here, allow me to show you how it's done." With just a swipe of his fingers, Cell created an explosion 10x the size and power of Nappa's. The explosion engulfed Nappa and blew him away into the water. Vegeta then landed next to Cell with a smile.

"Bravo. You broke the midget's neck and you sent Nappa flying. I hope you're not too proud of yourself." Vegeta said.

"Oh, Prince. I am proud. Not of that, no...but of you." Cell told Vegeta. "It takes a big man-not necessarily a tall one- to do what you did: Sticking to your guns and just throwing everyone's lives away! And for that, I tip my...huh what is that on my head? Would you call it a crown? 16, would you call this a crown?"

"I hate you…"

"We'll call it a crown."

"All right,'Perfect Cell'."

"Mmh, love the ring to that…"

"I'm going to enjoy wearing down the knuckles on these gloves. Now if you don't mind, it's time to turn your little coming out party into a funeral."

"Hmph, fine. I'll let you help me with my warm up." And with that the two began to clash, but at the very start, it was going poorly. Vegeta was soon losing ground and was unable to land a single hit on Cell, who was easily blocking and dodging everything with ease. "Are you finally starting to realize, Vegeta? The power of perfection." Cell asked.

"H-How? How am I not doing anything to you!?" Vegeta screamed.

"Because, Prince… like a soon-to-be-broken man once said: 'You're either perfect, or you're not me." Cell answered as he kicked Vegeta several miles away into multiple hills and fell into the water.

Meanwhile, Trunks had just given Krillin a senzu bean and the two of them were pulling Nappa out of the water to give him one. Once Nappa got a senzu bean, he looked over to Trunks with a furious expression. "What the hell are you thinking, Trunks!?"

"What?"

"You noticed too." Krillin mumbled. "Vegeta is pretty self-absorbed, so it's no surprise that he wouldn't notice, but we noticed right away something wasn't right. You're hiding your power, a lot of it, and I think I know why. You've become even stronger than Vegeta, haven't you?" Trunks couldn't say anything, only proving Krillin's point.

"Godamnit, Trunks! If you were stronger than Vegeta or me, why didn't you just kill Cell!?" Nappa screamed. "He's way too much for me and Vegeta to handle now! So why aren't you doing anything!?"

"I know you don't want him to lose face, but what good is his pride if he's dead!?" Krillin questioned.

"...I'll jump in the moment dad loses consciousness, but not a second before! I'm not going to risk humiliating him by letting him see how much stronger than him I've become!" Trunks told them.

"Who cares about that!? If you don't do anything, either Vegeta's gonna die, or he's going to do something completely reckless and make this situation even worse!" Nappa told Trunks.

"There is literally nothing left that he could do to make this situation worse. Save blowing up the planet." At that moment, Vegeta had pulled himself out of the water with Cell looking over him.

"Pitiful. Really, for all your talk, you're not even going to make it to the end of my warm up." Cell chuckled. "Before we're finished though, I suppose I should thank you. If not for your sheer foolishness, I never would have been able to reach my perfect form. So as a thank you gift, why don't I give you the same proposal I gave Orion. You can hit me as hard as you can. Go ahead." Vegeta glared at Cell when he said that before he flew up into the air and began charging all of his energy, causing the weather to shift and the ground below him to be destroyed.

"...He is going to blow up the planet…!" Trunks said as he saw this.

"I TOLD you!" Nappa shouted. Vegeta's aura surrounded him as he slammed his open palms together, a small ball of energy forming in between them. Electricity shot out of Vegeta and skidded across the ground as he continued to charge the attack.

"Hoho, that's much better! I can actually feel that." Cell told Vegeta.

"CELL! You have mocked me for the last time! If you truly believe your power is superior to mine, then here! If you have the guts to put it to the test, let's see if you're perfect enough to withstand this!" Vegeta screamed. Cell smirked as he braced for the impact. Krillin, Trunks, Nappa, and 16 each flew as far away as they could as Vegeta let loose his attack. "FINAL FLASH!" The beam shot out of him and flew straight towards Cell, destroying everything in its path.

"Aw, how cute, he named it-OH SHIT!" Cell shouted before it hit him. As soon as the blast hit, it consumed Cell's being and blew right past him. The blast only grew larger as it continued off the island into the far reaches of space. When it was over, rubble began to fall from the sky as everyone looked on at where Cell was.

"Oh cool. He missed the planet…" Krillin gave a sigh of relief.

"Thank god he isn't completely insane." Trunks panted.

"Completely being the operative word, there…" Nappa added with a grimace. Vegeta landed and took many deep breaths as he looked at where he fired the blast.

"...Hard enough for you?" He muttered as the smoke cleared, revealing Cell missing his entire right side of his torso and arm.

"See? Everything worked out. I mean, he's not dead, but it's a start." Trunks said as they saw Cell. Vegeta began to laugh as Cell shook at what was done to him.

"You… you think this is funny? You think this is funny!?" Cell screamed. "It's not...as funny...as your face." Cell said calmly as he regenerated the damage, causing Vegeta to shut up immediately.

"HOLY…"

"FUCKING…"

"SHIT…" Trunks, Nappa, and Krillin all said.

"You know, that attack was impressive. It was comparable to the blast that Orion tried to hit me with earlier. And just like with that blast, if I was only a few seconds too late in dodging it, you would have killed me. Good on you for that." Cell told Vegeta, who ignored him and began to fire multiple blasts at Cell. "Vegeta...has this ever worked?" Cell asked as he walked through the attacks and punched Vegeta away.

"Ok Trunks, you're out of excuses now. He's gonna kill your dad." Krillin said in horror. Trunks didn't know what to say as they continued to watch Cell brutalize Vegeta.

"I'll do what I did with Orion and give you some advice as well, Prince…" Cell said. " Next time, why don't you remember your place like the rest of them… and wait for Goku?" Cell then kicked Vegeta high into the air. Cell then reappeared on top of Vegeta and elbowed his back when Vegeta got to him. There was a heavy CRUNCH as Vegeta screamed and flew back to the ground, his Super Saiyan aura disappearing from him. That was the only queue Trunks needed to know he could step in now. He immediately started charging his energy, causing his muscles to enlarge even more, making them even larger than Nappa's. His hair spiked up even more in all directions as Trunks gathered his energy, catching everyone by surprise.

"Hey Krillin, Nappa. Do me a favor and take my father back to Master Roshi's place until he recovers. Here, take the last Senzu bean. Make sure Dad gets it as soon as you have a chance." Trunks told them as he flicked the bean to Krillin.

"...Are you sure you won't need it?" Nappa asked with a raised eyebrow at Trunks.

"No. This battle was over before it even began." Trunks said as he floated down to Cell.

"Bad-ass…" Krillin muttered in awe.

"Also accurate!" Cell shouted as he and Trunks walked towards each other. "Krillin, Nappa, go take the Prince and kiss his booboos. The big boys need to talk." Krillin wasted no time grabbing Vegeta and flying to a safe place with him and Nappa.

"...He's gonna die." Nappa muttered as they flew away.

"What!? Are you talking about Trunks?" Krillin asked. "But didn't you feel that power he had!?"

"Yeah, I did. When I felt that he was holding back, I thought he reached a new undiscovered level. However, if that form is what Trunks was talking about, then he will never beat Cell any time soon." Nappa grimaced as they flew away. Meanwhile, Trunks and Cell were staring at each other, preparing to fight.

"I'm going to make you pay in blood for what you did to him!" Trunks told Cell.

"Oh don't lie, boy scout; that must have been catharsis by proxy!" Cell laughed. "He's gonna be waking up for the next 5 years in a cold sweat remembering today!"

"I'm not a psychopath like-"

"Kind of like you!" Cell finished for him.

"Like me?"

"Does Gohan know, by the way?"

"Does he know what?"

"That you let him die." There was a solid minute of stunned silence after that before Trunk's expression hardened even more.

"...I'm going to power up now."

"I would be disappointed if you didn't!" Cell said as Trunks did exactly that. "Let's see how long you can keep that up. It's hilarious that you think that you can actually beat me. You're just a child, playing hero...complete with spandex."

"And I know how you came to this timeline, which just makes you another mistake that I have to correct!" Trunks yelled as he flew at Cell and punched him away. Cell got his balance back and vanished behind Trunks and knocked him away. Trunks flew back towards Cell and began to throw multiple punches at Cell.

"I'm impressed! Behind all that angst and ridiculous hair, there's a real fighter!" Cell proclaimed happily.

"And behind all that insufferable smarm is a dead man!" Trunks shot back.

"Trunks...you couldn't fathom the amount of dead men behind me!" Cell told him as they flew back at each other, their energies clashing with each other. Trunks broke Cell's guard and began to beat him senseless before shooting a massive beam into him.

"That might not have done a lot of damage, but damn did it feel good!" Trunks said as Cell got back up.

"Am I sensing an iota of pride?" Cell laughed. "Guess the apple doesn't fall far if ya shake the tree hard enough!"

"That snark isn't going to save you while I'm taking you apart! If you haven't noticed, I've LITERALLY got you against the wall!"

"And don't think I don't appreciate the effort. By a wide margin, you're packing more of a wallop than Vegeta, Nappa, or anyone else ever did!" Cell told Trunks. "However...you will never...ever… defeat me with that form."

Orion's Perspective

"And there's the twist." Piccolo sighed as we all felt a massive energy growing larger and larger.

"Not to be a broken record, but…" Bulma began to ask.

"Well, the good news is that Vegeta is fine. On the other hand, Trunks is about to fight Cell." Piccolo told us.

"Wait, that's Trunks!?" Tien asked.

"Yeah, pretty astonishing, isn't it?"

"It's infuriating!" Tien shouted. "I get why Orion said he was going to screw up now! This is it! Trunks puts Vegeta, Nappa, and all of us to shame with this power! He could have killed Android 18 or Cell whenever he wanted, but he waited until now to show off this power!"

"It gets worse…" I groaned. "All this power Trunks has, and it's not even going to help him."

"Huh?" Everyone questioned.

"But why? Weren't you all saying how strong Trunks was?" Bulma asked.

"Oh yeah...in raw power, it can't be beat…" I told them. "Let me try to explain it. It might be hard to show you, since I never tried to master these 'ascended' Super Saiyan forms."

"How come?" Tien asked.

"Because of how they work." I sighed. "Watch." I transformed into a Super Saiyan in front of them. "This is a Super Saiyan, right? We'll call this normal Super Saiyan, or Super Saiyan grade 1. It's a basic Super Saiyan form. The one that everyone achieves when they first become a Super Saiyan." I then increased my power more, condensing it and concentrating it into my body, causing my muscles to increase in size slightly.

"This is the power that Vegeta, Nappa, and Trunks were using before Cell got his perfect form. It condenses and concentrates the energy of a Super Saiyan to strengthen and enlarges the body's muscles slightly, increasing power, energy, and speedt. With that increased power increase from this Super Saiyan grade 2, if you will, as well as their year of training in the time chamber, they were easily beating Cell in his 2nd form. It's not a big increase like with our base form to Super Saiyan, and it increases the strain of the Super Saiyan form, which is why I didn't really use it. There's also another form beyond this." I then charged my power even more, causing my muscles to grow even larger, maybe as large as Nappa's.

"This is the form Trunks is using now. Let's call it grade 3. It's probably the strongest a Super Saiyan can get normally. However, it has major drawbacks. This amount of concentrated energy causes an extreme expansion in muscle mass. The body can't compensate. While this form does see a monstrous increase in power, it causes an enormous decrease in speed, mobility, and stamina. You'd never hit any competent opponent in this form. Not only that, but the strain is the worst in this form, making it even harder to hold for long periods of time, even with training. Overall, it's completely useless in a real fight." I said, my body now giving way from the massive strain from Super Saiyan grade 3, causing me to drop out of the form back to my base form.

"Phew… Do you get why I won that bet now?" I asked them. "This is why I tried to focus on maximizing the normal Super Saiyan form and mastering it as a whole instead, since grade 1 has the best overall balance. Though, I only have mastered how to remove any stain from the form and energy drain it had, not maximizing power or speed along with that yet, so I haven't reached that mastered level."

"So...if Trunks is using that grade 3 form…" Piccolo began. "Then what you're saying is…"

3rd Person

"You. Can't. Hit me." Cell told Trunks after he explained the drawbacks of that form.

"Then what do you call the last 5 minutes?!" Trunks screamed in disbelief.

"Pity…" Cell eventually answered.

"Trunks! Do not worry! He's just playing you!" Android 16 yelled from far away. Trunks then tried to attack Cell like before, but Cell was now easily dodging everything Trunks did with very little effort. "Correction: He's been playing you…" 16 said with wide eyes.

"Why!? T-How!?" Trunks stammered, looking for any logical reason he was now losing.

"Because you're green." Cell told him.

"...Wait, you mean…"

"No, not like me you idiot; as in, you're a novice, an amateur!" Cell explained. "You're surrounded by fighters who have seen more action in a week than you've seen in your ENTIRE LIFE. Hell, at your age, Goku had defeated an entire army, several demons, and sent a rabbit to the moon!"

"Did...did you make that last one up?"

"And the worst part of it is, that form isn't even new! Watch." Cell then expanded his muscles with incredible amounts of concentrated energy, similar to what Trunks was doing. "'Look at me, I'm Trunks! Please love me Dad~!'" Cell then returned to his normal form with a smug smile. "See? Anyone can do it."

"...That's a terrible impression." Trunks mumbled.

"But not inaccurate!" 16 proclaimed.

"Why are you still here!?"

"Oh for God's sake, I bet Orion, Nappa, and even your father can do it; they're just not stupid enough to try! And as we've seen today, that threshold for Vegeta is vast…" Cell added. "Now, how about you come on down, stop using that useless form, and quit wasting everyone's time?" With that, Trunks slowly floated down to the ground and powered down to his base form. "Jeez, I can't tell which is more shattered: your father's body or your spirit…"

"Just get it over with and kill me already…" Trunks told Cell.

"Whoa, and spirit it is!" Cell proclaimed while aiming his hand at Trunks. "Seriously bucko, way to bring down the mood."

"Is this all just a game to you!?" Trunks yelled.

"A game? Hardly. If this were a game, I'd be having fun… or killing Goku. Now that sounds like a good time." Cell said.

"Fine! Go ahead. Fight Goku." Trunks grimaced. "But when he wins, and when YOU die...Nobody...is going to remember you."

"...Huh." Cell made a noise of an epiphany when he heard that. "Alright; change of plans. Turn that frown upside-down, Trunks! You're not dying today."

"What in the…? WHY?"

"Careful, don't want that gift horse to bite you." Cell chuckled. "While it ultimately came up lacking, you, Nappa, and Vegeta still managed to increase your power considerably in a short period of time. If given enough time perhaps you all could get stronger. Goku did say he only needed a single day of training to get strong enough to fight me. If he's using the method you used, then I want to see what fruit you all can bear."

"Wh-What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about having a little contest between us."

"A contest?"

"I'm talking about a tournament, naturally. Let's say in...10 days time? Do some more training, and then come face me again. It'll be like the World Martial Arts Tournament. The only noticeable difference is that it will be me against all of you. We'll fight one-on-one and after each time I win, the next challenger will be free to step on in. As many as you like. Obviously, the more challengers you bring, the better your chances are of winning, though better is entirely relative in this case." Cell elaborated. "I'll let you know once I've decided the finer details like location. Just keep an eye on the news. Then you'll know when my revolution really begins."

"W-Wait! Why are you doing this anyway?"

"Well, I guess you could say that my only goal now is to enjoy myself, and of course I enjoy nothing more than the looks of perfect terror my power inspires on people's faces." Cell told the boy. "So long, kid." With that, Cell flew off to who knows where, leaving Trunks behind to only stare at him as he did. After a few moments, Trunks began to shake before he let out a furious scream, transforming into a Super Saiyan as he did. His energy exploded out in fury as he let out all of his anger before he fell to his knees. Krillin and Nappa had just flown back with Vegeta flying with them after he had gotten that senzu bean. They felt Cell leave and came to cheek up on Trunks. When Trunks saw them, he powered back down and averted his eyes.

"I...I'm sorry. I did my best, but… he just toyed with me!" Trunks exclaimed. " And I couldn't do anything. And in the end, I wasn't even important enough to kill…"

"Of course not. What did you expect?" Vegeta asked. "If I couldn't defeat Cell, then a lesser fighter like you never had a chance." Krillin was about to say something, but Trunks and Nappa stopped him. Trunks then explained to everyone what Cell had told him about his Martial Arts Tournament.

"A Martial Arts Tournament!?" Krillin proclaimed. "Who in their right mind would even bother to enter? No one's gonna step up if none of you could cut it against him!"

"No. I will." Trunks told Krillin. "The minute I'm able to, I'll go back to the hyperbolic time chamber and train myself some more!"

"Neither you nor Cell will be needed, actually." Vegeta cut in. "One more day in the chamber, and I'll be more than Cell's equal."

"Agreed. I'm gonna train in the chamber as well. There's no way I'm letting it end here, with me doing nothing against that bug…!" Nappa said through gritted teeth.

"I will enter as well." 16 said as he walked towards the group. "But first, I beg you to take me to Capsule Corporation for repairs. I need them to restore my fighting capabilities."

"Absolutely not! There's no way I'm taking an android anywhere near where my mom is!" Trunks shouted. However, to everyone's surprise, Krillin walked over to 16, looked at him, and then smiled.

"All right, we'll take you there and see what they say." Krillin told the Android.

"Are you insane!?"

"It's gonna be okay. Trust me. This guy is nothing like the androids you knew in your time."

"How do you know?!"

"17 and 18 were both different, weren't they? You even said so yourself. Orion was right. They didn't seem all that bad. I don't know if I'd call them nice, but they were nowhere near the monsters you told us they'd be. If they just had a different goal or purpose, who knows? They could have been on our side." Krillin told Trunks. "And besides, now's not the time to start getting picky about who we get to lend us a hand." Krillin then hoisted 16 over his shoulder and began to fly away, with Trunks, Vegeta, and Nappa begrudgingly following behind him.

"Thank you…" The android said as they flew off to West City.

Orion's Perspective

"So...that just happened." Piccolo said in disbelief. "Cell just...left."

"Wait, what?" Tien asked.

"Why?" Bulma added.

"I think he just got bored and left…" Piccolo told them.

"So, what do we do now?" Tien asked.

"We should wait to see what happens." I said. "Do we have a tv here?"

"Uh...yeah, why?" Piccolo asked.

"We might find something out if we watch the news." Piccolo nodded and we got the tv out and we began to search for anything on the news. We eventually found what we were looking for. On one of the news stations, Cell appears and kills the broadcaster before looking at the camera.

"My name, good people, is Perfect Cell, and whether or not you're aware, you are familiar with me, given of course you've been following the news about a certain ruthless creature stalking your cities for fresh victims." Cell said. "But let's move on. This is an invitation for all of you to attend a little tournament I'll call The Cell Games, to be held in a vacant lot about 15 miles to the northwest of this station."

"A tournament?" Piccolo repeated as we continued to watch.

"It'll be like your World Martial Arts Tournament, except we'll fight in teams. Me versus all of you, however many challengers as you like, one-on-one until the winner is determined. This works to your advantage since, powerful as I am, I might tire out after a while, which seems more than fair. Other than that, you know the rules. If you forfeit a match or any part of your body is pushed out of the ring, you lose. If you die, though I'll make an honest effort to go easy on everyone, that also counts as a loss, and if every member of your team should happen to lose, it's a loss for the entire world!"

"What!?" Tien shouted.

"That's right. Defeat will mean annihilation for every person on the planet. The entire population of Earth to a man gazing up at me in horror as I watch him take his final gasping breath. So in closing, I urge all able-bodied fighters to consider my invitation, or else...let me demonstrate." Cell then fired a beam behind him, destroying the wall and everything behind it for a 30 mile radius. "I mean...unless you've got better things to do. Can't wait to see you there." With that, Cell flew off the broadcasting set and the feed was cut off.

To say panic had ensued would be an understatement. The entire world fell into chaos as multiple armies tried to take down Cell, only to be easily obliterated. All we could do was watch it happen and wait. I was up on the lookout still, along with Piccolo, Tien, Trunks, Nappa, and Vegeta.

"So Trunks, I keep forgetting to ask, but what happened to your tail?" I asked him as we were waiting for Goku and the others to exit the chamber.

"Oh that? It got cut off while fighting the androids in my time. Why?"

"No reason. I just noticed how baby Trunks has his but you don't." I said. "So, what are we going to do about the chamber?" I asked.

"Orion and I will go in next after Goku, Gohan, and Raditz come out." Piccolo told the others as we waited. Vegeta, Trunks, and Nappa told us how they had wanted to go back into the hyperbolic time chamber again, so we were trying to decide the order we would go in, since only 3 people could enter at a time. I asked Tien if he wanted to enter, but he said he probably wouldn't be able to handle the harsh environment of the chamber.

"Don't overestimate yourself, Namekian. Only a Saiyan has any hope of defeating Cell in his current form." Vegeta scoffed. "But go ahead and join Orion if you insist. The chamber's mine for the remaining 8 days when you're done making a fool of yourself."

"Afraid I've got some sobering news." Piccolo smirked. "There's a natural limit to the time any one of us can spend in there. You're allowed a total of 48 hours, not a minute more."

"What? That's all?" Vegeta exclaimed. "What happens if somebody goes over?"

"The chamber door vanishes, never to appear again." Mister Popo answered. Everyone was pretty shocked to hear about that, though Vegeta was more upset than anything.

"So if Piccolo and Orion are going to be in the chamber next, shouldn't there be a third person with them so the chamber is getting the most amount of use?" Trunks asked.

"That's true…" I said. "But who will-" I immediately shut up when I felt something heading towards us. I wasn't the only one as everyone else stiffened right away.

"What the hell is that!?" Nappa shouted.

"I don't know, but it's not Cell." Piccolo said. "But this power...it's something incredibly strong!"

"But...it's sort of familiar…" I muttered. "Wait… is that-" My question was soon answered as a spaceship flew up above the lookout before landing. A pure white spaceship with a purple 'N' logo...yep, it has to be him! I ran up to the ship as the door opened, revealing Paragus and Broly. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked, happy to see them after so long.

"You asked Neptune to repair that sword a while ago. We were sent to return it." Paragus said as he brought out the sword in its sheath and handed it to me.

"So this was what Neptune meant by 'contacting me'." I sighed. "Well it's good to see you, and thank you for bringing this back." I then turned to Trunks, who was bewildered about all of this like everyone else. "Hey Trunks! Your sword has been prepared!"

"Wait, so these are the people you asked to repair it?" Trunks asked as he took the sword from me to examine it.

"Not exactly. We were just asked to deliver it to you." Paragus said. His eyes then landed on Vegeta and he glared for a bit. "Prince Vegeta…" Before he did anything else though, Paragus took a deep breath and relaxed. I guess he really is trying to move on from his lifelong grudge.

"Wait...you have a tail… Are you a Saiyan?" Vegeta asked in disbelief.

"Yes. I am a Saiyan. And this is my son, Broly." Paragus answered.

"B-But, how!? All the Saiyans were wiped out along with the planet! Were you off planet when it happened?" Nappa asked.

"We were. More specifically, we were exiled by King Vegeta due to Broly's laten powers being incredible." Paragus said. "Ironically, that decision spared us from destruction. We were living on a horrible planet called Vampa before Orion discovered us and took us to a better one."

"You knew!?" Vegeta and Nappa shouted at me.

"I...yes…?" I said nervously. "Their new planet may have been where I was before I returned to Earth."

"Wait a minute! You said you were training someone during that time! Was that person that Broly guy?" Tien asked.

"Yeah. His power is no joke. It took me a while to help him learn how to control it." I laughed as I scratched the back of my head.

"Damn it! Why didn't you tell us there were other Saiyans around!?" Vegeta yelled.

"It wasn't a big deal, really. They were living a peaceful life on Planeptune now, so I figured it didn't really matter."

"But if Broly is as strong as you said, wouldn't he be a big help against Cell?" Piccolo asked.

"Maybe, though I'm not sure how he would fare against Cell with his current level of control." I answered. "I didn't want to drag him into our problems when they had nothing to do with him. I also figured we could handle this problem, but then someone had to let Cell reach his perfect form." I glared at Vegeta while saying that. "Besides, he doesn't enjoy fighting for the thrill of it. I trained him so that he could control his power so he didn't lose control and hurt people. That's all there is to it." I then turned to Broly and gave him a gentle smile. "So this is your first time on Earth. What do you think?"

"It looks very beautiful." Broly told me.

"I'm glad you liked it."

"So Orion, what was this Cell problem you all were talking about?" Paragus asked me.

"Oh that? Well, it's-" Once again, I stop mid sentence after feeling a very large power level. All of us, including Paragus and Broly, turned to the inside of the look out.

"Just what is that power?" Paragus asked.

"That's Goku's energy." Tien pointed out.

"Raditz and Gohan's energy is there too." I mentioned.

"Surely those three aren't done training. They still have 3 hours before their 24 hours are up." Piccolo muttered as we waited for what happened next. Eventually, the three Saiyans walked out from the depths of the Lookout, all of them in the Super Saiyan form and with torn and damaged armor.

"Huh, so that was Trunks, Vegeta, and Nappa's energy here. And Cell's energy is still hanging around down there." Goku said as he looked around. "But who are those two over there?"

"One of them has a tail. Are they Saiyans?" Raditz asked.

"Hey, will someone explain everything that's happened so far?" Goku asked.

"Oh, right." I nodded as I began to explain everything, from what had happened with Cell to who Paragus and Broly were.

"I see. So that's what happened." Goku said after hearing my explanation. "It actually sounds kind of fun. It's not every day that you get to compete in a big tournament."

"Fun? Of course you'd think that." Piccolo sighed.

"Hey, do you still have our clothes here?" Goku asked Mister Popo.

"Of course. I even washed them for you." He answered.

"Thanks. You're the best Mister Popo." Goku said as he and Raditz were given back their normal outfits.

"You know, I think it's time for me to get new clothes too." Gohan said as he walked up to Piccolo. "Clothes like yours if you don't mind." Piccolo made a surprised expression while I tried to hold back laughter.

"Don't tell me. Your heart just skipped a beat, right?" I quietly asked him.

"Shut. The FUCK. Up." He quietly muttered through clenched teeth. "Yeah, sure. I guess." He then told Gohan as he made him an exact outfit, excluding the turban. After getting dressed, Goku and Raditz walked towards Paragus and Broly and greeted them.

"It's nice to meet you two." Goku told them.

"Yes. I hope my older brother hasn't been too much trouble for you." Raditz said.

"Hey!" I shouted. Paragus chuckled as he shook their hands.

"He's been a great help actually. We're lucky to have met him." Paragus told them. Goku then turned to Broly with an intrigued look.

"I can see why Orion got so strong after helping you train. Maybe someday we can spar together too." Goku said. Broly nodded with a small smile.

"That might be nice." He said.

"Enough of this idle chit chat. What's the plan?" Vegeta asked Goku. "Do you feel strong enough to take on Cell?"

"Well, it's kinda hard to say. I haven't seen him in his perfected form or whatever you call it, but I'll have a better idea once I get a better look." Goku told us as he put his fingers on his forehead.

"Wait! Are you actually-"

POP!

With that, Goku was gone. "Is...Kakarot always like this?" Paragus asked.

"Yes." Everyone present answered. We all waited, and after a while, Goku came back.

"To be perfectly honest guys, he's a lot more intimidating than I expected him to be. There's no telling what kind of damage he can do if he really puts his mind to it. I mean, I won't know until I try, but the way things look right now, I'm not all that certain I can defeat him."

"Then I think it's best if you go back into the hyperbolic time chamber to train." Piccolo told him. "There's time. We might as well use it. We've already settled on the order. Orion and I will go after you, and Vegeta's group will go after us."

"Nah, I think we've had enough of the time chamber." Goku told us.

"What!?"

"Agreed." Raditz said. "We'll just finish up our training out here."

"Raditz is right. 9 days should be plenty of time to get pretty well prepared." Goku added.

"You've lost your mind!" Vegeta shouted.

"I mean, it's fine if the rest of you go in there and train as hard as you need to give yourselves a fair shot. Just don't overdo it. You may call torturing your body in their training, but we need to ease up after that. Forcing yourself to train there is just not healthy."

"Is that a fact?" Vegeta asked. "Mind your tongue! I'm not an imbecile. I know that I'm being patronized and I don't care for the suggestion that you're stronger than me!"

"Yeah, I wasn't really suggesting." Goku shot back.

"What!?" We all stared in shock and a bit of amusement after Goku just roasted Vegeta before he flew off with Gohan and Raditz.

"Say, weren't those 3 in Super Saiyan forms the entire time?" Tien asked. "They sort of seemed like how Orion did when he got back from his training in space."

"Yeah, they're in their Super Saiyan forms alright." I told them. "They did it. They mastered the Super Saiyan form."

"So that's why they looked like that. They mastered energy control and got rid of the strain of the form on their bodies so that the form is like being in their base forms while maximizing power, energy, and speed." Piccolo said.

"Damn, it's actually very clever of them. Why didn't I think of that?" Vegeta grumbled.

"Welp, I suppose we should get going and enter the chamber now." I said before sighing. "I'll be honest, I'm not exactly looking forward to it. The harsh conditions of the chamber seem less than pleasant, and I'm already pretty old. Not sure I want to bump up the number so soon."

"Aren't you only 37?" Tien asked me.

"Yeah, but still…" I groaned. There's also the fact that mentally, I'm actually around my late 50s or early 60s, so there's that. "Well, if we're going to enter the chamber, we should still bring a 3rd person." I then came up with an idea as I turned to Broly and Paragus. "Broly, since you're here, would you like to join me and my friend Piccolo in training? We'll be in a place where a day out here will be a year in there."

"Such a place exists?" Paragus asked. "I suppose that's what your brothers used to train earlier then?"

"Yep. It's a pretty harsh place, but it allows for some great training. How about it?"

"It's up to Broly. I don't mind waiting a day out here until you 3 get out of that chamber." Paragus said. Broly thought about it for a bit before nodding.

"I will go. It would be nice to train with you again. I want to show you how much I've improved." Broly told me.

"Oh really? That makes me excited to see how much you've grown!" I said with a grin. "That makes 3 of us then. Piccolo, you don't mind, right?"

"Not at all. If anything, this will make our time there more efficient." Piccolo said. "I'm also curious to see how strong your pupil is too."

"He's not my pupil." I humbly said. "I only helped train him a bit. That's not really being a mentor or teacher."

"I consider you to be a mentor of mine." Broly said.

"You really don't have to…" I chuckled. I haven't done much anyway, so it felt weird having that title. The 3 of us prepared ourselves a bit more before we finally entered the chamber. Once inside, I took a look around. There was only white void as far as the eye could see, with the only structure being the fancy building that connects this space with the lookout. Already, I was feeling how the chamber's temperature was fluctuating. The chamber could be freezing at one moment and become scorching the next, and I could feel that just by entering the place. The air was also incredibly dense, making it hard to breathe, and the gravity here felt...different. I don't really know how to describe it other than that. We were going to spend an entire year here. "Well, I guess we had better start training, or else I'm going to go crazy here doing nothing." I said to the other two.

"Agreed. Now then, let's begin." Piccolo said as we each began to train.
