"... hell?!"
Rin and I decided to go for our annual vacation. We thought that after spending a whole year at the Clock Tower, it would be nice to return back to Fuyuki for a break. Of course, Rin told the Association that we had to go there to take care of Tohsaka estate – Rin is still responsible for the city.
Before the Holy Grail War, there were many people who wanted to take this territory because of its leylines. Yet, after Saber destroyed the Grail and Gilgamesh was defeated, we dismantled the Holy Grail System and we found out that the leylines were damaged by explosives.
Probably it was the work of the old man, Kiritsugu.
The Association announced that the leylines will seize to exist in 40 years, which made our lives a bit easier…
…except that Luvia still jokes about buying Fuyuki – which irritates Rin to no end.
By the way, I met up with Issei at the Homurahara School and not at the Ryuudou Temple, because the temple was being repaired. We were keeping in touch over the years but meeting in person is always a rare occasion.
There are many reasons, such as the distance between London and Fuyuki and the distaste between Rin and Issei.
He has been doing fine. Unsurprisingly, considering his calm demeanor, Issei took after his father and became a monk.
Sadly, it has been 3 years, but he is still uncomfortable with me and Tohsaka being together. However, he is slowly getting over it. At least, Rin isn't a "witch" anymore, no matter how close to truth he is…
I told Issei that he can come and visit us at my place, the Emiya estate. He promised to.
So, we left. Issei probably went back to the Ryuudou Temple. I went for a walk back by to my home.

I missed Fuyuki. Despite it's changing: like a couple universities being build, there are still many good people and nostalgic places I would surely visit, like a certain nice café where I worked part-time.
I used to cook a lot there and even more for my guardian, Taiga.
Hopefully, Sakura took care for Taiga – the Tiger of Fuyuki can be hopeless sometimes…
Or maybe, Taiga learned how to cook? Nevertheless, I will cook for them during this vacation.
I was passing by the bridge and daydreaming when my phone rang. I picked up my phone:
"Hello, Senpai." I heard Sakura's voice.
"Hi, Sakura. Please, don't call me that anymore. So, what's up?"
"Rin wants to tell you that you have 3 hours of free time before you can go back home."
Probably, the girls have decided to frow a party, as usual.
"Thanks, Sakura. Tell her that I won't be back before 3 hours run out."
I hung up.
Despite living together for 3 years, I still couldn't teach Rin how to use an electronic device without breaking, crashing, smashing or exploding it. In return, she told me that despite her many efforts, I still couldn't "get some common sense in my dense skull, you – fool!".
Those are peaceful days, so…
No matter what, my resolve will never falter and I will become a Hero of Justice –
"So, eat it, Archer, because my dream isn't a mistake." I whispered my words of encouragement as I passed by the park where we fought against Berserker, Hercules, and his master, Illya… Those are sorrowful memories.
Trying to save as many people in my sight can be excruciating but thanks to my bonds with my family: I will manage. I will see it to the end.
I made a lot of progress in last years. By myself, I can manifest my Reality Marble, Unlimited Blade Works, for 40 seconds. During the Holy Grail War, I had to rely on Rin for mana support but now I could… do more by myself.
I forcefully let go of such traitorous thoughts. I won't be like Archer. I won't leave my allies behind. Thus, I decided to pay my attention to an old library. I have been here only 2 times in my whole life: to take literature for school, but there weren't any interesting books for me. Maybe, as the English say: "Third time's the charm?". Moreover, I have the time.

When I entered, I saw a few people here. In one of the sections, passing by bookshelves, I saw a young man about my age. He had dark hair and green eyes. The man was studying some old fantasy books. I'm not an otaku but I know some things about manga, anime and games – there are some interesting ideas for Mystic Codes and it's good in general to be able to blend in with the modern society.
The next moment, my nose detected a weak 'smell' of magic coming from one of the books. I took it before my neighbor. The book's title was 'The Records of the Four Cardinal Weapons'.
So, I decided to take a look. The man besides me didn't seem to be against.
The book held information about some Waves of Calamity that would destroy a magical world, that its denizens had to summon Four Heroes from the other worlds… (Sigh, the Kaleidoscope…) Each of the Heroes had a weapon: the Bow, the Spear, the Sword and the Shield… Okay?
Heroes had to work apart to become stronger and face the danger… Did the smell get stronger?
There was a Princess who was like a usual damsel in distress… except that she was spoiled and played all the Cardinal Heroes for her plans. She made out with all of them like a … prostitute.
The Sword Hero never gave up, the Spear Hero always trusted his allies and the Bow Hero, like a Robin Hood, sought Justice for oppressed and weak. I can somewhat relate.
When I turned the page to the Shield Hero – it was empty.
Suddenly, the book started glowing and a magical circle had appeared under me.
"Whoa- what the… ?!" was all I could scream.
The last thing, I saw, were the concerned emerald eyes, somewhat reminding me of Saber when I fought Archer… and the void.
Then the hell went loose.

Hello, reader. If you have remarks to make please do. It will be interesting to read.
Nevertheless, this will be probably the first time ever that the Shield Spirit summons 'the wrong' hero. Or not?
I won't update regularly, because I need to make revisions of the Light Novel and wikias. This is my first fic, so please – no pressure, only helpful advice.
As far as I understood, Naofumi can't do much damage because of the Shield Spirit while the previous Shield Heroes were told to deal more damage.
And yes, I copied the first chapters of Light Novel. But don't worry, reader, the path of the story will certainly diverge from the original.
