Author's Note: Hello and welcome! Just a warning, it's gonna be a bit of a cliche story but I love it anyways. I'm not great at putting my thoughts on paper but did my best!
Story is finished, just needs editing, and I will be posting a chapter a day if I'm able. As always, let me know you're thoughts. I welcome Constructive criticism but please only that! Our world has so much hate in it already so let's not add to it
DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own Stargate SG-1, it's characters, or anything associated with it. I'm just letting my imagination run wild with their creation.

Prologue
The universe hated her.
Or at least whatever cosmic power that was possibly in charge hated her and seemed intent on making her life as difficult as possible. Body forcibly taken by a parasite and controlled by it for four long years? Check! Forced into the only life accepted as a former host? Check! Having her body violated once again by being forced to carry a child that somehow was her but yet wasn't? Check! Having to destroy/kill said child in order to save not one but two galaxies? Check!
She thought she was done. She thought since changing her ways and choosing a better path would result in a different way. She gave up the conning, the stealing, the greed, the selfishness (for the most part), and chose to become something, someone, better, and this way how she was repaid? To be fair, most wouldn't see this the way she was, but most people weren't Vala Mal Doran, and most people wouldn't have to answer to Daniel Jackson or face the wrath he was sure to bring down upon her. That's not even mentioning if he believed her or not, which she sure he wouldn't.
Vala Mal Doran knew three things for certain:
One, the universe truly did hate her.
Two: It was absolutely not her fault whatsoever.
Three: Daniel was going to blame her anyways, despite what she said, despite the truth, and/or would most likely kill her.
Why did these types of situations always seem to find her? What could she have possibly done to deserve all of this? What could she have been in another life that would result in such torment?
Vala was startled out of her thoughts by a bang on the bathroom door and Cameron's voice on the other side. "Vala!" he exclaimed, "plan on joining us anytime soon? You alright in there?" he half joked, half didn't want to know.
"I'll be out in a moment," she promised, forcing a cheerful tone, masking any panic she was feeling.
"Well hurry up!" he ordered playfully and she heard him walk away.
It was team night and Cameron was hosting it at his place. It wasn't the most ideal place to find out if her life was going to irrevocably change forever or not, but it had been her only opportunity since she first got suspicious. When Mitchell had offered a ride to team night, she was about to decline, planning to go with Sam, when he mentioned that he needed to stop by the store first. Vala saw it as a rare opportunity and immediately agreed. When she tried to go her separate way once in the store, Cam had protested, asking where she off too. He quickly backed down once she said she needed some female stuff and scrambled off. While she wished she merely needed some feminine products, such as tampons or pads, but she didn't and had stood in front of a ridiculous number of different types of pregnancy tests.
Yes, she was aware Carolyn could easy do the test for her, but that would require, should it come back positive, Carolyn to report it to Vala's CO, Mitchell, and the base commander. Vala was not ready for everyone to know. As she stared at the three different used brands of pregnancy tests, Vala wasn't sure she wanted to know; but it was too late now. She'd already seen the results and she, Vala Mal Doran, would once again become a mother. Only this time, the baby was fully human and she had done all the necessary bits this time.
Daniel wasn't going to believe her; he was going to think she was messing with him or something. Even if he did believe her, he was going to blame her, he was going to think she did this on purpose. Well, he'd blame her regardless.
And he was going to be angry; oh gods was he going to be angry that she was going to be the mother of his child.
Shoving the tests, wrapped in toilet paper, into her purse, Vala quickly stood and was determined to pretend like she hadn't just got life altering news.
