POV: Oswell Spencer | June 18th, 1997
"One year later on June 18th, Test Subject NE-001 has proven to be a worthy addition to my subjects. It's enhanced regenerative tissue has resulted in the T-Virus' regenerative properties, and the subject's 'magical' - according to Potter himself - abilities have seemed to enhance all of the subjects who have taken doses of the T Virus. The Nemesis program - which was made with the NE-T virus - has benefited greatly from its blood, making it so that the newest Nemesis model could regenerate back to full health from only its leg. The subject NE-001 followed all commands given to it by both myself and its superior officers. NE-001 -" Doctor Oswell E. Spencer spoke, rubbing his hands together as he examined his favorite test subject. Harry James Potter. That was the name that was located in the boy's wallet, which had been confiscated and searched when the boy arrived within the Umbrella Corp laboratory. "- wake up,"
Potter opened his eyes, looking straight ahead with a blank look. The boy was different from what it had when it had arrived within the arms of Umbrella. It was taller, much more muscular, and was outfitted with many more scars and technological implants. Potter was perfection. The ultimate physical, mental, and magical weapon. It was fitted with the most magical knowledge Umbrella could get its hands on, and was trained in 1,932 forms of hand-to-hand combat and 15,000 weapons. And with the boy's magical healing...he was unstoppable. Potter jumped off from the vertical table, before turning to Spencer. "Ready to comply," The boy spoke, its voice level and its eyes blue as it waited for upcoming orders.
"We have orders for an infiltration mission in Chile. Report to Alpha Leader HUNK," Spencer replied. Potter didn't reply or nod. It merely moved past Spencer and out of the room, leaving Spencer to smile as he rubbed his chin. Like all missions involving Potter, he had a feeling that this would be a quick success.
POV: Captain HUNK
HUNK examined the mission report in his hand, frowning at the details. His old mission reports were lengthy, well written, and contained every detail the mission had to offer. His men were not afraid to add complaints or praises for him or others in the team within their notes or memos, and said memos were the highlights of his days. It was interesting to see how his team responded to their missions. Now though, his reports contained only a paragraph, explaining the trip to the mission, the mission itself, and the trip back. It tended to go like this. Journey to; The journey to the mission site was silent, filled with prep work. Mission; Subject NE-001 infiltrated the site and completed the mission within 4 minutes. Journey back; The journey back consisted of a short mission briefing from Subject NE-001. That was what he held within his hands. A brief explanation regarding the latest mission to Venezuela, which consisted of Subject NE-001 assassinating the Venezuelan President. The job was quick, and no one was able to trace it back to Umbrella.
And now, they were on assignment to Chile, tasked to eliminate the CEO of Umbrella's rival company The 3rd Organization, or 'The Agency' for short. The target - Rian Konollo - was discovered by NE-001 two days before, the bioweapon using its magic to locate the CEO. If they could take him down and eliminate The Agency's key facilities, then they could take it down once and for all. "Alpha Leader HUSK. I am meant to report to you," HUSK sighed, looking to his right to find Subject NE-001 standing at his side. The bioweapon was in full gear, fitted into tactical gear with his radio, two side holsters for its handguns, two assault rifles on its back, a sawed off shotgun on its hip. It wore long gloves, with sunglasses over its blue eyes.
"That's right. We've got a job for you down in Chile. The CEO of The Agency is having a nice vacation in his summer home, unaware of a certain home invader coming his way. Your job is to get in, get the job done, and get out. Eliminate the target Rian Konollo," HUNK turned the pad over towards the advanced bioweapon, who examined it, taking the mission details on it within the span of three seconds. The bioweapon turned away and moved towards the helicopter waiting for it. It would take eight hours to get the bioweapon into apparition range. In the meantime, HUNK would have to prepare for the release of Subject Nemesis-T Type, codenamed 'Nemesis'. It had gotten the name due to it being the perfected Nemesis project with the assistance of Subject NE-001.
The bioweapon sat down into the helicopter, sitting still with its hands on its knees. The helicopter took off out of the hangar, flying off into the air as HUNK watched it go. Looking down at his pad, he saw a notification pop up from the head scientist. An email. Titled 'NE-024'. He clicked on the email, and read it;
Dear Commander HUNK,
As you are aware, my team and I are currently readying Subject T-00 for conditioning and training. Seeing as that project is in its final stages, and Subject's NE-002 through NE-023 were failures, we down in the labs believe it is time for NE-024, this bioweapon will be the same size as Subject T-00, though we are hoping that this specific subject may show signs of magical abilities. Though unlike NE-001, this subject does not have a natural magical core. We are close to unlocking the key to artificial magic, but it still has a way to go. We will need to speak with you regarding outfitting this subject with updated protocols as well as potentially enhancing it with Subject T-00's and NE-001's abilities. Once the ladder has returned from assignment, lead it down to Lab 4, where it will be reconditioned. We will see you there.
Doctor Julian Tango, Team Alpha-Tango
HUNK sighed, rubbing his mask as he pocketed the data-pad. With a deep breath, HUNK moved out of the hangar and towards the lab. It would be a long day indeed.
POV: NE-001 | June 19th, 1997
Bioweapon NE-001 sat silently in its seat, watching the metal barrier between it and the pilot. The helicopter was a mile out from the bioweapons apparition zone, with it being tasked to apparate in and out of the subject - Rian Konollo's - home. It was tasked to eliminate the target subtly, before returning to the helicopter. After assessing the situation, the bioweapon decided that the Killing Curse would be the best option. No cause of death. No exterior injuries. The law enforcement in the subject's area would be unable to trace the assassination to Umbrella, nor would The Agency. It would assume...but it would have no evidence. The bioweapon got out of its seat, moving toward the door of the helicopter as it slid it open.
"Your window is 10.42 seconds!" The commander at its side exclaimed. "You will need to jump when ordered, and apparate as soon as you enter your barrier! Understood?!"
"Affirmative!" NE-001 exclaimed. It grabbed the door, sliding it open with ease as it peered down to the ground. Without a word or second thought, the bioweapon jumped from the helicopter, tucking its arm and extending its legs as it shot down towards the ground like a bullet. NE-001 steadied itself, gliders extending under its armpits as it began to glide. Subject NE-001 flew directly into its apparition zone, and using its knowledge of the target's home - from Alpha Leader HUNK's assignment details - vanished with a spin.
It reappeared within the target's home, which appeared to be a large mansion on the edge of a cliff within eastern Chile. It's eyes glowing red, it scanned through the wall, looking for bio-signatures as he found three. One man and two females, all lying still on top of a bed within the master bedroom. Based on the target's steady heart rate, it seemed the target was asleep. NE-001 moved forward, its invisibility and advanced mechanical physiology kept the heat and motion sensors from going off, allowing it to move directly into the master bedroom without being noticed. The target lay naked under his sheets, two naked women at his sides. NE-001 flinched, its eyes on the woman to the targets left. She was...familiar, as if he remembered her.
Mission: Eliminate the target.
The bioweapon flinched once more, before extending its hand. With the flick of its wrist, a flash of green fired from its hand and into the target's chest. Once more the bioweapon's eyes glowed red. Zero heart rate. Mission success. With the turn of its heel, the bioweapon reappeared in the air, falling down as its eyes fell on the helicopter not far from view. With a spin the bioweapon appeared within the helicopter, startling the Alpha Team commander to its right. "Mission report. Target was asleep with two unconscious women present. Subject was able to easily infiltrate the home and eliminate the target with a Killing Curse to the torso. After ensuring that the target was deceased, the subject returned to the rendezvous point. Malfunction occurred within the target's home. I request reconditioning," The commander nodded, filing NE-001 for reconditioning once they return to base. The bioweapon went back to its emotionless and stoic expression and stance. After a moment, the pilot veered the helicopter to the right, heading back to Umbrella H.Q.
POV: Oswell Spencer
Subject NE-001 hopped out of the reconditioning machine the next day, its memory clear for all but the knowledge it needed to function as itself and within the collective that was Umbrella Corp. Spencer was joyful. All other subjects had all gone rogue when experiencing malfunctions, all except for Potter. He had caught the malfunction, and willingly participated within the reconditioning. As a reward, Spencer decided to inject the subject with both the NE-T and a perfected form of the Progenitor Virus. His team had run the calculations, and had discovered that if they succeeded in the injections, Potter would be the strongest P.O.W in existence. It would be Umbrella Corps golden angel, tasked to bring the organization to new heights, eliminating all that got in its way. With its magic...nothing could be traced back to Umbrella, meaning it would be the one to carry out the more...dirty tasks.
"Sir. Would you like to move forward with the first NE-T injection?" His lead scientist in this area of expertise - Julian Tango - asked, his hand on the controls of the pod sitting in front of Spencer, who nodded. "NE-001, enter the pod," Potter nodded, stepping to the pod as it remained completely still, staring straight as the pod closed shut. Work Spencer prayed. I can not afford to lose it. Tango pressed the injection button, a loud BEEP! running through the room as needles slammed into Potter's arms, legs, neck, and head. The bioweapon didn't scream or even flinch through the glass, merely flexing its muscles. It was trained to withstand anything. Spencer turned to the knob that Tango was turning, and frowned. 20%. 40%. 60%. 80%.
A scream ran through the lab as Potter began to feel the monster inside it rise. "AHHHHH!" Potter shouted, needles snapping as Potter flexed its muscles even harder, the needles shooting out of its body as the virus reached 100% injection. The pod door suddenly flew off its hinges, with Potter falling forward onto its knees as Alpha Team arrived, their rocket launchers aimed at Potter as Spencer wheeled himself back into the corner. "…." The bioweapon was breathing heavily, its left fist to the ground with his right knee up. After a minute, Potter slowly got to its feet, examining its surroundings before spotting the weapons aimed at him. After another few seconds, Potter sent a tendril flying out of its right hand, impaling an Alpha Team member to the left before the tendril returned to the hand. "All threats neutralized." Potter spoke, causing all of the other members to let out sighs of relief.
"It was a success, Doctor," Tango said, a grin on his face.
"One of many injections, Julian. One of many," Spencer replied. He was optimistic of course, but would not place all of his hope into this. It could be catastrophic if he did so. But with this step towards the future, Spencer knew that things would only be on the rise for himself and Umbrella. The New Empire would rise, and NE-001 would be the catalyst.
POV: Commander Miguel | September 28th, 1998
Commander Miguel sat quietly within a cargo plane heading toward Raccoon City, his eyes on the cryopod in front of him. He was studying Bioweapon NE-001, one of the many B.O.W's that were being deployed to Raccoon City during the outbreak that had broken out three days before. Alpha Team had already been dispatched to retrieve a sample of the G-Virus beneath the city, while Miguel led Bravo team as they prepared to drop NE-001 into the city. It would be an easy process. Open the back doors, shove the cryopod out, and NE-001 would do the rest. The red light above the cargo-bay ramp lit up, letting them know it was getting near time for the drop to occur. Miguel had been there when Potter fell through the veil, and he was looking forward to what the bioweapon would do to the city. After all, the weapon was once a wizard. And Miguel only knew a few of Potter's spells, all of which brutally killed their targets.
The light glowed orange.
Miguel got to his feet, his guys doing the same as they all grabbed onto the cryopod, pushing it towards the ramp as Luke moved towards the ramp switch. He flicked it, the ramp lowering slowly but surely as Miguel and his men began to push the pod. They got it to the edge, wind blowing in his hair as he gripped the pod, growling as he and his men barely moved said pod. After a moment, they got it halfway over the edge, holding it tightly as grunts passed through the air. After a moment, the light turned green.
But before they could let the pod go, the left engine suddenly blew, the plane veering to the left as the pod did the same. It crushed GOBLIN and Conrad, before slamming straight into the cockpit. The nose of the plane dipped down, Miguel and his men being sent flying as zero gravity kicked in. He knew he only had a moment, so he used it to kick off of the plane wall, landing on the emergency chutes. Tossing one to his surviving men, they all struggled to put them on as gravity began to return. Miguel got his on first, but waited. He would be the last to pull the chute. It was his squad after all.
Nighthawk and Derek pulled their chutes, flying off above the descending plane while Luke followed suit. Miguel reached down, grabbing the cord to his chute as he pulled. The parachute shot out of the pack, pulling him out of the plane. He watched it go down, mainly watching B.O.W NE-001. Miguel frowned. Had he failed the mission? Would the weapon die? Or could its regeneration bring it back? Taking a deep breath, Miguel grabbed the gun on his back and pointed it down. They were breaching the clouds, an explosion shaking the air as a bright orange color entered the clouds. It was a big explosion. So it was sure to have resulted in the death of NE-001. It was embarrassing. He had failed.
