Chapter 18. Hormones

When Akane awoke, Vegeta was gone. She found herself wrapped up in a tight bundle of covers, wondering whether he had done this to her. She had not woken up so neatly covered since she took up lodgings here. The covers were usually somewhere at the foot of the bed after a night of the ever present, vivid dreams about Cold and her life in his service. She fought herself free from the covers growling and rolling onto her back winded when she succeeded. Her body was still hurting from their training and the shoulder of the arm that had been dislocated so often was on fire. It was nothing compared to her fever though. That had reached new heights.

The hands of the clock hanging on the wall above one of the desks made her certain that she was suffering from a delirium. A quarter to three in the afternoon couldn't be right. That meant she had slept half the day away. She might not be a morning person, slumbering a gap in the bleeding day wasn't anything like her either.

"That is absurd." she croaked to herself. "It better not be right."

Well, she was talking to herself so the delirium could be considered a fact now.

Akane touched her as yet flat belly. The whelp was doing a nice job. If it kept this up, it would have her felled within a week. She dragged herself out of bed feeling a lot less light-headed than she expected to be with her delirium. Maybe it really was three in the afternoon.

Her eyes were drawn to the window where the weak Earth-sun could be seen high in the sky. She shambled over, threw it open and looked outside. There was nobody out in the grounds. She did see flashes of light coming from the gravity-tank's high round windows off to the side. It wasn't a surprise to find him in there training. A quick dart of her senses told her that he was alone. Not surprising either. The Prince seemed to thrive on solitude.

Akane wondered where her men were at this moment. Probably busy training over at the tournament site which had since been unofficially dubbed their training ground. Or Maybe they were on the pull. Now that she was no longer allowed to couple with them, they needed to find someone else to ease their needs. She didn't find the will to sense them out. What did she care anyway? She felt alarmingly benumbed. It was this fucking place. It was starting to get to her. This bleeding office that served as her sleeping chamber and the Prince with his fuckhole up at the house. What was Akane even doing here?

Why was she on this kack stain for a planet? Was she to idle away her years here and come to the end realising every second of her long desired freedom had been wasted. And what about her son? Was her whelp convicted to a life among a lesser race, never knowing his true origin? To live in exile like her and the remnant of her kin? Was he to breathe with one of these weak Earthlings and bring forth a hybrid race of Saiyajins? The idea of her blood mingling with that of an Earthling pissed her off. It was outrageous, unacceptable. So what that the Prince and Kakarot both did it? It was their blood, not hers. They should just do whatever the fuck they wanted. Sure she had regard for their offspring, but the fact remained that they were half Earthling and in her opinion no true Saiyajins.

She was taken by surprise at her own narrow-mindedness, having met with it herself countless times in her youth since she was half tribes blood and half nobility, finding that neither side had ever fully accepted her as one of their own. But truly, what else was there to cling to than the pureness of blood? There was no more Vegetasei. There were no Saiyajins left except for a few who would die out on this planet or choose to cross breathe. Either way their race had no chance of surviving.

Akane moved away from the window and retrieved a battle suit from the top drawer of one of the desks. Mantling herself in the tight spandex soothed her. She pulled on her armour, gloves and battle boots, ignoring her own panting as these simple actions caused her pain and wore her down further. Vegeta really had gone to town on her with his training.

"Bleeding prick." Akane cursed as she made her way to the bathroom on wobbly legs.

Even brushing her teeth seemed a too demanding task in her current state. Her left shoulder was searing. She changed hands to aggressively finish the task with her right hand. Then she washed the unending flow of sweat from her face with cold water and roughly dragged her fingers through her snarled and tangled hair, dragging out grass and dirt from that glade where she had leisured with her Prince. A shower was what she really needed, but she hadn't the energy for it. She growled in frustration and ground her teeth at her own flushed reflection. Her attention was caught by the bruises on her jaw and temple. Her left eye was fat and drooping and her bottom lip was swollen as well. The Prince certainly hadn't opted for sparing her face. She found the teeth marks and small purple bruises down her neck. He hadn't spared her his engorgement either.

Akane pulled her gloves back on and more or less shuffled into the mess hall. She halted, suddenly struck by the image of Vegeta on his knees in front of her with his face up her cunny. He hadn't held back at that either. Despite the fever and the beaten state of her body Akane fell victim to her own lust. The way he had gone down on her was not something she was going to forget anytime soon. Unless he managed to top it, of which she expected him quite capable. Why wasn't he here right now doing just that?

There was another stocked fridge standing in the corner, its contents already half gutted by Ringo and Turles. She threw down another capsule to make a second fridge appear next to it just in case and there was simply no stopping her when she set out to ease her hunger. During the most monstrous pig out session she had ever held in her life, she hung slanted against the fridge door because her legs refused to fully support her on their own and before long both fridges were all but cleaned out. She did leave the cold chicken, somehow finding no appetite for it, which was a first.

Akane threw both fridges shut. Her eyes found the clock on the opposite wall. So the one in her bed chamber had been right after all. It was now nearing four. She gave another snarl and made her way out of the back compound to aimlessly wander the streets surrounding the CC grounds. This cunting place. She felt like wrecking the whole city. Just summon a nice big Red Whorl and obliterate it together with every bleeding Earthling in it. Except for the main woman naturally. That cunt wouldn't be so lucky. Akane would have some fun with her before finishing her off. She would tear her apart limb for limb.

She came across quite a few weaklings on her stroll. They avoided her like the bleeding plague, practically breaking their necks to remove themselves out of her way. All the better for them. Her hands itched and crushing some windpipes might just put her at ease. Akane had no clue were this sudden bloodlust came from. Sure, she loved her battles and she seriously got off on defeating and snuffing the life out of an enemy, but to harm defenceless creatures just for the fun of it? What honour was there in that?

It might well be the remains of her servitude to Cold. She and her men had been forced to wipe out entire species in order for their planets to become saleable on the intergalactic market. At first they had been disgusted and unwilling to do so, but later it just became part of the job, and in the end, when their moral sense was all but destroyed, Akane actually started to take a disturbing liking in reaping havoc. Why should they be the only ones to suffer? Wasn't their life taken from them? Wasn't their planet destroyed and their race annihalitated? Weren't they enslaved and left to the mercy of that sadistic fuck Cold?

Akane stopped her thoughts. They certainly weren't aiding her in keeping her bloodthirst in check. Maybe she should go and take out some of this rage on the Prince. It was his fault she was in this pathetic state to begin with. Yes, she thought as she staggered back towards the CC grounds, beating up Vegeta's handsome face was exactly what she needed right now.

Ultimately Akane reached the CC again and she stood on the lawn sweating and short of breath. She swayed on her feet woozily, her overheated body quaking. Whatever. She was still going to beat the kack out of her Prince somehow.

"Gee, Akane. Are you okay? You look awful!" a cheery voice piped up close to her.

Akane's head snapped up to find Kakarot approaching her with his typical happy face. There was something different today though, he had evidently just received a good pummel to the eye.

"Stop trying to appeal to my ego, Kakarot." Akane replied sarcastically. "And it is still Captain to you. What's up with the keeker?"

"Vegeta." Goku replied while carefully touching his swollen eye.

Akane let out an exhausted chortle. Even laughing seemed too much for her to handle right now. She indicated her own face. "Same here. Why did he pummel you?"

Goku hesitated. "I came to talk to him about you. I know about you and him being… involved and all."

"We're not involved, Kakarot." Akane mimicked with the same dramatic emphasis on the word involved.

"Yeah, you are. I… Well, I smell it, you know." Goku said awkwardly. "It's a bit embarrassing but I do. I don't know how. I'm not proud of it or anything. I kind of think it's a curse."

"It's quite normal. You're Saiyajin after all." Akane replied snickering. "What's it to you that the Prince and I are involved in anything? You have your eye on me, big guy?"

"What? No!" Goku cried out abashed. "I love my wife!"

Oh yes, this was making him very uncomfortable. Turles told her how his little brother got all evasive and bothered whenever he brought up the topic of sex. Apparently Earthlings considered it a taboo to openly discuss carnal doings. It made no sense to her. But then again, nothing about these sodden Earthlings made sense to her.

"What you two are doing is not right." Goku said despite being so obviously ill at ease. "It's not fair to Bulma. Vegeta should make a choice. He can't have you both. I told him that too. I think it made him angry." he chanced another feel at his swollen eye.

Akane laughed but it ended in a rough and quite uncivilised sound of the throat. She really was in tatters. "I think you got off lucky with that keeker. You don't mingle in our Prince's affairs, Kakarot. It is simply not done. These matters don't concern you."

Goku looked very stubborn.

Akane sighed. "I guess you can't be blamed for it, you did grow up here. We don't live by these rules. Saiyajins have big appetites. Many of us never tie down to just one person. Our Prince certainly didn't. Otherwise he wouldn't have fucked me."

The Earthgrown Saiyajin was blushing now, The big softy.

"But don't you love him? You're having his baby." Goku asked pointing an almost accusatory finger at her abdomen.

"Love?" Akane echoed.

She was getting a notion of how Kakarot must be feeling at the moment. Love was as much a taboo to her as talking about sex was to him. She forced herself to bark a harsh laugh. She did not love the Prince... And even if she did, she would never come out and say it. To nobody.

"Love is for the weak. I am a warrior. The only thing that matters to me is gaining strength. What good will love do you in battle? It leaves you vulnerable, gives your opponent the chance to affect you. I have no use for love."

"Love is the only thing that keeps me going in battle." Goku refuted.

Akane scrutinized him. "The Prince told me you showed Frieza mercy. Look what that brought you. He came back with Cold to snuff you out. Even the Princeling knew Frieza and Cold didn't deserve mercy. He chose to finish them off for good."

"Maybe Frieza didn't deserve it, but I show all my enemies mercy." Goku shrugged. "It's the way I am. I showed Vegeta mercy too when he first came here. Or do you think that was a mistake as well?"

"Probably. He wouldn't have shown you any in return." Akane said frankly.

"And," Goku continued not impressed with her remonstration. "By showing Frieza mercy you ended up here, free from Cold. Many good things came from it. I got the chance to meet my brother and make new friends. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if I had to."

Akane was silent for a while. He had a point there. They were free from Cold and both Ringo and Turles seemed to have eased into their new life on Earth so yeah, maybe some good had come of it. She would have rather been left in hyper sleep to rot though. The resurfacing morbidity caught her off guard. Something was seriously off with her mental condition as well. This pregnancy was already getting on her tits and she wasn't even a full day into it. How was she going to survive three moons of this? Bleeding hormones.

"So what were you up to?" Goku asked, changing the subject in his ever forgiving and benevolent manner.

"I am looking to find something good about this kack stain planet." Akane growled. Her stomach growled back. "And I am in dire need of food."

"I might be able to help you out with that." Goku offered merrily. "I was invited to an all you can eat buffet over at The Mister Satan's world-saving defeat of Majin Boo, super gorgeous hotel. My son Gohan is coming too."

"The mister what gorgeous hotel?" Akane repeated thrown.

Goku shook his head chuckling. "Never mind. Mister Satan is a bit weird but free food and as much as you can eat sounds great, right?"

Akane more or less nodded. The world saving what? That wasn't a name for a hotel! That was like a really bad Ginyu Force cheer. Worse even than those benders could have come up with themselves. These Earthlings were all right nutters.

"So, you wanna come?" Goku asked.

"Sure, what the hell." Akane's stomach grumbled again. "I do hope they have enough chow there."

"Don't worry, they're used to having Saiyajins around and I'm sure you couldn't eat as much as I do. If they can feed me, they can feed you."

"Yeah, I really wouldn't count on that."

Goku clearly had no worries and took to the air mirthfully. He came back down when Akane remained frozen in her spot. Flying really wasn't happening right now.

"You're going to have to lend me hand, Kakarot. Can't we just instant transmit there?"

"Sure, but it's such a nice day out. I thought we could fly." Goku looked at her worried. "You really don't look well, Akane. Vegeta couldn't have held back a bit?"

Akane waved his worries away roughly. "The Prince is helping me attain my super form. This is not because of that. My hormones are out of whack and I have a stonker of a fever. So are you going to instant transmit me to that gorgeous hotel or what?"

Goku gave her his happiest smile. "Sure, let's go."
