Chapter 28. Z Warriors

Vegeta was about to burst out laughing when he found the pathetic scene before him. He would have if he hadn't been in such a bad mood. As he emerged from the Marauder he was welcomed by the full force of the Z warriors. They all stood there waiting for him to come out, the looks on their faces serious or even downright challenging, except for Kakarot with his gormless happy face and Piccolo who stood a distance away from the rest with his arms folded and his stare fixed to something in the distance.

Vegeta's laugh sounded more like a snarl and he abhorred the bitterness in himself. The past days his little concubine didn't just piss him off, but managed to keep him in that state permanently. She saddled him with a constant feeling of perversion. Nothing he did seemed to please her, and the Good Mother knew how hard he was trying, but the more effort he put into it, the more it infuriated her. She hadn't even bothered coming to him at all last night, even if he had told her to.

Vegeta had gone to fetch her from what was supposed to be her sleeping chamber and had to ask some soldier to point him the way because his little concubine had masked her ki to dodge him. He found himself faced with the Marauder's Ardian in stead and she had practically thrown herself at his feet. Her seduction had seriously turned him off. She had awoken nothing in him except revolt, and a lot of that, which seriously confused him. The Ardian was a real looker with those long slender legs, that shiny black hair, pretty face, plump lips and those half-lidded bed chamber eyes. She had an absolutely cracking body as well. She was like a walking orgasm.

He should have known then that he was fucked, but he had still been in denial at the time. Not anymore though.

After that encounter Vegeta had gone on the pull for someone else to take his mind off of his rogue concubine. He soon discovered, to his utter dismay, that he had not been able to turn up one single woman to grab his interest despite the Marauder being overrun with the kinds of wenches that he couldn't have dreamed up in his wildest fantasies. Deep down he had already known it beforehand, known that he only wanted the nefarious warrior goddess. He had given it a try nonetheless, hoping against hope that he crossed paths with someone to prove him wrong. Prove that he hadn't lost himself to his little concubine yet.

The little soldier he had at last chosen to distract him had a very nice round arse, almost as perfect as that of the warrior goddess, yet once he found himself getting in her clothes, he couldn't go through with it. It just wasn't what he wanted. It had to be his little concubine. No one else would do.

Still, he was done pursuing her. He was done with all of it. If she thought he was going to continue playing out her fucking games with her, she was mistaken.

Vegeta focused on the pathetic gathering in front of him. The serious looks were soon wiped from the Z warriors faces as soldiers started spilling out of the Marauder. Surely those weaklings had known how many occupants the ship counted prior to their little visit here so what else had they expected than to be greeted by a large host of Saiyajins? It was quite hilarious and Vegeta could even afford a modest grin.

From the corner of his eye a sudden blood-red appearance caught his attention. His mouth went dry when he found that this breathtaking figure was none other than his very own little concubine. She strode out resolutely with Ringo as her guard hot on her tail. Her calculating, hard eyes swiftly took in the whole scene.

Vegeta was unable to do anything but stare at her when she froze at his shoulder. Her battle suit was of supple leather that covered her body like a second skin and was fastened across her chest by a row of long horizontal straps. Her battle-boots were of the same crimson colour and had steel buckles. Her small hands, resting loosely on her curvy hips, were protected by mean-looking armoured gloves which were crimson as well.

Vegeta hated to have all his suspicions about how bound he was to her confirmed so blatantly, had her rub his nose in it so thoroughly. The last vestiges of his opposition were relentlessly stripped from him at the marvellous sight of her. He needed to make things right with her again. And soon.

"May I ask what this little gathering is about?" Akane asked the Earthlings. She laughed her roughest laugh. "Or to put it clearer, should I prepare my men for battle?"

Vegeta tore his attention away from her with difficulty and regained himself as his eyes fell on the pathetic little cluster of warriors across from them.

"We didn't come here to fight." Tien hollered over to them bravely.

"Then why did you come here, doormat?" Vegeta asked.

"We came to make you leave our planet." Krillin answered in the other bald warrior's stead.

Akane drew her scarred brow up. "Oh really? And how would you bring this about, infected nob-end?"

Goku placed a hand on Krillin's arm. "Calm down, Krillin. Like Tien said, we didn't come here to fight."

"Do we have to wait here all afternoon, Kakarot?" Vegeta demanded. "Quit arsing about and get on with it already. I have better things to do than watch these fuck-wits embarrass themselves."

"Who are you calling a fuck-wit, monkey trash?" Yamcha hissed.

It looked like the weakling had found himself some courage now that he was with his friends.

The Saiyajin gathering started to stir and sounds of distaste and outrage rippled through the crowd. Vegeta had to grab Akane's wrist so that she wouldn't lunge at the weakling. Whatever her reason was for dodging him this time, it didn't stop her from defending his honour and no matter how hard he told himself that he didn't care, it tended to ease his swimming mind.

"Keep your men in check." he ordered quietly.

His little concubine threw him a displeased look. Then she obeyed by simply lifting her fist in the air aside her face. Her men instantly fell silent and motionless. So competent a leader was she who he belonged to.

"You want to come over here and repeat that, weakling?" Vegeta threw back.

"With pleasure." Yamcha replied.

"He isn't serious, is he?" Akane asked giving Vegeta a brief look, the curve of the scar at her mouth enhancing the wicked smirk that lifted the corner. "I have seen some miserable two-bit warriors in my time, but this dolt takes the biscuit. He wouldn't be able to take it up against our unborn kitten."

Vegeta snickered. "I know."

"That's fucking brilliant." Akane was laughing so roughly and hard that it rendered her breathless.

Vegeta cracked up at the sight of her. How he loved his little concubine. There sounded contained snickers from the Saiyajin crowd behind them. Clearly they loved the way their Captain laughed just as much.

"Oh kack, I need to sit down." Akane said as she wiped the tears from her marred face and fought to regain control over herself. "Put this cunter out of his misery, Vegeta. He's clearly off his tree."

"I think you should do the honours." Vegeta said. "For the sake of symbolism."

Akane threw him her fiercest grin and Vegeta dared to hope that the air was beginning to clear between them. She raised a hand and beckoned the weakling, malevolence instantly darkening her marred features.

"Why don't you both stop laughing and fight us together?" Yamcha hollered furiously.

His threat was met by jeering laughter and Akane threw her head in her neck barking with such violence that she nearly toppled over. Even his fellow Z warriors looked at Yamcha as if he had lost all his marbles.

"Listen, weakling, even Kakarot isn't strong enough to take us on so if you're expecting him to bale you out of this one, you might want to take that into account." Vegeta said.

Yamcha turned a little green at that.

"But by all means, carry on. I still have a score to settle with him." Vegeta continued. He wasn't serious. The day he beat Kakarot it was going to be just the two of them.

Piccolo finally moved and pushed Yamcha aside so roughly that the scar-faced Z warrior landed face down on the ground a good distance further.

"Bloody hell, Goku, is this what you call having everything under control?" Piccolo asked.

"I… ano…" Goku said intelligently.

"Can we talk?" Piccolo asked Vegeta, though it sounded more pressing than soliciting.

Vegeta took a breath to steady his snickers and the smirk was still fixed to his face when he motioned Piccolo away from the crowd. The green warrior followed with Goku hot on his tail.

"I reckon this is her?" Piccolo asked with a frowned look down on Akane as she joined up with them still laughing roughly and with Ringo as her shadow.

"What do you care?" Vegeta retorted.

Piccolo showed off his fangs in a grin. "I don't."

Vegeta smirked. "Let's just get to it then."

"Alright, this is up. They want you and your people to leave Earth and since this is their planet, I think you should." Piccolo spoke plainly.

"I can't." Vegeta replied just as plain. "Not until I've made another wish with the dragonballs."

"You could wish back your home planet with the New Namek dragonballs." Goku said as benevolently as ever.

"Vegetasei is your home planet as well, Kakarot." Akane, finally done laughing, pointed out and the scowl returned to her marred face immediately. "And why are you in such a hurry to see us leave?"

"I'm not, Akane." Goku hasted to say. "But Piccolo is right. This is their planet. They are afraid of all these Saiyajins. I tried to tell them that they have nothing to worry about, but I can't change their minds. Look at it from the bright side: you don't have to wait a whole year when you use the New Namek dragonballs. Your… Our planet would be back in a couple of months."

"And just how would you suggest I do that, idiot? I don't speak their language and I seriously doubt that any of the Namekians are willing to assist me after what went down on the old Namek." Vegeta snapped irritably.

"I will help you." Piccolo said.

Vegeta examined the green warrior's expressionless face. "Why would you help me?"

"Why not?" Piccolo refuted. "My people were given a second chance, why shouldn't yours? Besides that, I want to pay my kinsmen a visit, this way I can bum a ride."

"Fair enough." Vegeta threw Piccolo a look. "Can you guarantee that the New Namek dragon will grant my wishes? The Earth dragon wouldn't do it."

"You managed to bring back this lot, didn't you?" Piccolo motioned at the gathered Saiyajins in front of the ship. "I trust you'll find a way."

"And if it doesn't work I will take you back here after a year so you can make a wish with Earth's dragonballs." Goku promised.

Vegeta gave in with a careless wave of the hand. "Agreed then. Tell your men to stand down, Captain." he grinned wickedly. "Unless one of those weaklings still wants to fight."

"He doesn't." Goku assured him.

"Too bad." Akane muttered before barking at her men to resume previous activities.

"When will you leave?" Goku asked.

"As soon as the ship is ready." Vegeta answered.

"I will see to the provisions." Akane announced and trode off in her stunning crimson attire. "Heel boy." she joked to Ringo who just snickered and followed after her.

"Captain." Vegeta hollered after her.

His little concubine turned with a rough: "Yes, Prince."

"I expect you at my quarters when you're finished. There is something we need to discuss."

Somehow this was enough to draw out her foul temper, that was made quite clear by the way she balled her little armour-gloved hands to fists.

"As you wish." She spun with a jerk and left with Ringo at her back.

Vegeta returned his attention to Piccolo and Kakarot telling himself that he would never understand what moved his little concubine and that therefore he would do well to stop beating his bleeding brains out over it.

Piccolo gave a moody hmpf and walked away with the announcement: "I'll return at the end of the day."

"Fine." Was Vegeta's gruff reply as he turned to re-enter the Marauder.

"Fine." Piccolo echoed and with that it was settled.

Goku stayed behind with the other Z warriors looking sheepishly from one retreating back to the other and Yamcha secretly heaved a deep breath of relief.
