This chapter is dedicated to my mom who recently died a few days after my dad.

Daichi had felt a number of emotions since coming to this world happy over getting a fresh start, anger at the way nobles treated commoners, even some saddness at the thought of the lives that were lost during the war. Now Daichi could only sigh as his eye turned to look at his red head.
The red head in question was currently poking his cheek looking at him lovingly.
"Kirche."
"Yes Darling." said red head said as she returned to the task at hand.
"Why are you doing this?" he more whispered looking to a sleeping Siesta currently snuggled up against his other side.
"I don't know what you mean I'm simply trying to bond with my familiar turned lover." she simply responded as she leaned forward rubbing her cheek against hers. "I just miss this, us the closeness we used to share."
Hearing this Daichi slowly turned to her as he multi blinked at the red head. "Your not wrong, with all the crap we've been going through we haven't had the time to simply sit around and do nothing." Daichi agreed reminiscing of happier days before things got more complicated.
"So what do you want to go on a date or something?" he asked only for Kirche shake her head.
"Nope." She stated popping her P. "I have a better idea you see the Seipnir ball is coming up we should go together." Kirche said feeling extremely excited at the prospect.
"A ball, so like a dance?" Daichi had heard of these things but always thought it was an overcompensating way for the rich to feel good about themselves.
"Exactly!"
"Fine I maybe we can actually do something without there being any problems."
"Ohh it will be great we'll have so much fun." Kirche began listing off all the things they will do.
That was until a naughty idea entered her mind in the span of 5 seconds Kirche had removed her nightwear before rolling on top of Daichi.
"Before we have some fun at the ball, lets have a little fun ourselves." she says as she sits up on Daichi's chest, giving him an absolutely wonderful view of her chest.
In all the times Daichi had seen her he still wasn't used to the sight of her. The shape of her body is alluring, those curves and large, soft perky brown breasts and that fat, round juicy booty just begging to be slapped.
"YYYYYAAAAWWWWWNNNN." the moment was ruined when they remembered Seista was in the bed with them who took to tossing and turning one arm even punch Daichi across the face.
"Oww! Danm that girl's strong." Daichi growled said annoyance rising as Kirche put her cloths back on.
Laying on the bed Daichi looked to the ceiling. "This dance better be something."
"Ball." Kirche corrected laying down on his chest. "Just you wait it's going to be a night you'll never forget."
"Let's hope so."

Sitting on the wall of the academy Daichi looked over to his fellow familiar. "So let me get this straight in order to "continue what you started before." Louise gave you a challenge to find her at the dance.
"Ball." Saito corrected.
"And it's a challenge because there is magic mirror that transforms anyone into anyone they want." Daichi continued ignoring the correction.
"Yes." a downcast expression covered Saito's face.
"And this is because Tiffa the girl with let's be serious probably the biggest tits on the planet asked you to feel her up." he finshed with Saito simply nodding.
Daichi leaned over giving Saito a light pat on the shoulder. "Hope you know Louise well enough to guess who she turns into."
"Yeah you think!" Saito shouted shocking Daichi off the wall only saving himself thanks to his gauntlet chain shooting into the wall.
"Hey Saito you ever think the reason why you and Louise work out is because your actually a bit of a bitch!" Daichi shouted back trying to for once to give actually good advice. "I mean like a simp."
"He's right partner out of all the living things that exist you were choosen to be her familiar." Derflinger butted in giving his two cents.
Upon hearing this Saito jumped to his feet with a glare. "You guys are crazy there is no way that's true, I'll find Louise and nothing will go wrong."

To say things had escalated quickly would be an understatement. One minute Daichi was walking to meet Kirche at the dance the next he sees Saito running outside chasing after something.
That something turned out to be to a robbed stern looking woman with eye make-up that turns out to be another familiar of the void named Sheffield who was currently in the process of kidnapping Louise.
Just as he was about to intervene a robed figure appeared with a familiar wand before he could process this said figures wand began to glow blue.
"What could go wrong." Daichi said sarcasticaly. "Yeah thanks a lot Saito." he finished as a blast of wind blew him away.
Drawing his sword Daichi lights in ablaze as he cuts down a massive icicle. As ice meets fire a vapor surrounded the area obscuring the figures vision.
Jumping through the fog Daichi throws a number of fiery punches and kicks. Quickly raising their staff the figure creates an ice wall blocking the attacks. But before they can use a follow up attack a burning cross blasts into the wall honing in on them only to miss by a hair as a wave of there wand shooting them into the sky.
Once in the air a chain wrapped around there leg before being pull back being slammed back to the ground.
Locking eyes at the chain the figure waved their wand over the chain causing it to slowly freeze over from the diamond tip creeping down the chain to the gauntlet forcing Daichi to remove it.
"Louise NOOOO!" Saito shouted as his mind controlled master had her wand drawn, matters were made worse when she drew a second wand aimed at both Saito and Daichi.
KAAABOOOMM
Just as Daichi charged forward an explosion erupted at his feet blasted him away. Sitting up Daichi rolled out of the way of some incoming icicles.
"My God Louise!"
Rolling to his feet Daichi's swords drawn releasing an arc of fire as he ran behind it.
Just as the figure blew it away with some wind they shot an undercurrent under Daichi blasting him skyward. Seeing their opponent descended the figure sent a barrage of icicles only to increase there speed with some wind magic.
While in the air Daichi began spinning around as he released a stream of fire melting the ice before it could get close enough.
Just as Daichi was about to land a mini tornadeo swept him up before slamming him into a tree.
"Okay I'm hurt now." Daichi groaned out as he slumped to the ground. "You know when my gun broke I thought that was it." Slowly Daichi raises his hand index and middle finger in the shape of a gun with his thumb up. "I can't imagine using one of those guns from this world. Not enough ammo, recoil sucks and the aim is lame." His index and middle finger were lit ablze. "So one day I thought maybe I should just make my own gun."
"Burning Bullet." with that Daichi slid his thumb down the base of her index and middle finger.
Two bullet shaped balls of fire soared through the sky at the speed of well a bullet as it struck the unsuspecting mage in the chest blasting them across the field.
Dusting himself off Daichi slowly limped over to the downed figure. "Didn't see that coming did you. Makes sense that's one of the few moves you've never seen me use before."
"Isn't it..."
Once he was close enough Daichi grabs the mage by the hood pullig it down.
"Tabitha." with the hood down Daichi sees the familiar light blue hair of Kirche's best friend.
Looking up at Daichi, Tabitha could only ask one question. "How?"
Hearing this Daichi merely deadpanned. "Tabitha you are the only mage I've ever met to use ice magic." Taking a knee. "So wanna explain what's going on."
Biting her lower lip Tabitha could only utter one word. "Sorry." With a flick of her wrist she sent a massive burst of air sending Daichi soaring high and far away. "Goodbye." With that Tabitha stealed herself as she rose to her feet to confront Saito.
By the time Daichi managed to return to the Battle said battle had ended with the arrival of an airship. But it wasn't the airship that shocked the duo but the one flying it.
"Saito."
"Yes."
"Are you seeing who I'm seeing?"
"Y-Yes." Saito said tears starting to fall down his face.
At the helm of the airship was no other then Jean Colbert smiling down at them, but just before he could speak a red blur brushed past him.
"Darling I told you it'd be a night you'd never forget!" Kirche squealed in delight waving shamelessly.
Daichi's eye began to twitch so much had built up over the last few weeks. First Colbert's "death" then the war and now Tabitha's betrayal things have not been going well for his mental state. "WHY!"
"Mr. Sha...AH!"
"You Fuck!" Daichi shouted as he lunged at him.

The Next Day
"It is my esteemed...
"BOOOO!" Henrietta spoke only to be interupted by a voice not on the deck of the ship.
"It is my esteemed honor to...
"BOOOOOOO!" This happened again much to the Princesses irritation.
"Welcome back..."
"BOOOOOOOO!" The voice said again causing a tick mark to appear on Henrietta head. Taking a deep breathe to continued.
"BOOOOOOOO!"
"DAICHI SHUT-UP! I know your mad but you got to..."
"BOOOOOOOO!"
"Jean Colberts alive okay congrats!" Henrietta blurted out drawing her wand.
"Fine I'll stop!" Daichi shouted back much to the surprise of everyone Daichi wasn't actually in the room.
"What's he doing back there?" Everyone thought in confusion as Daichi and Seista currently wondering the ship.
With a blush on her face Henrietta cleared her thought regaining everyone's attention. "So let's have a round of applause." she chirped happily as she started the clapping that was quickly mimicked by the others.
After this everyone was given free rein to roam around looking around the airship. Everything seemed fine except the fact that Daichi kept roaming around with his maid jotting down something in a notebook.
As this was going on Saito was having a heartfelt reunion with Colbert.
"P-Professor I thought I-I-I thought you were..." Saito stuttered as he cried happy to see his friend/mentor alive and well.
Standing before the swordman Colbert looked less the respectable if the black eye, busted lip and the blood oozing out his ear. "I know and I'm very much sorry but I had to remain hidden." he said sending an uneasy glance in Agnès who glared daggers at him.
It didn't help matters that she was currently gripping the handle of her sword.
"Very good reasons." he gulped nervously.
"For what it's worth we're happy to have you back professor." Louise smiled as she gave a curtsy before giving him a sheepish smile. "And uh sorry about Daichi."
"Yeah I didn't expect he'd take my ship." the Professor said rubbing the back of his head only to wince in pain.
Before they could help the teacher a voice interrupted them.
"Okay Siesta add change colors to the list and move our stuff in here." Daichi said as Siesta nodded as she followed behind.
As they continued to walk they either ignored or just missed the tanned red head skulking behind them. "D-Darling?" Kirche stuttered out. It was only after the excitement of the day that Kirche realized that in helping fake Colberts death she had inadvertently lied to her familiar/lover.
Coming to a stop Daichi turns to said red head. "Something wrong Kirche?"
"Well it's...I wanted to say that I-I'm sorry. By protecting Colbert I lied to you this whole time and kinda encouraged you to be more savage since this war started. And that was wrong." Tears started falling down her face knowing this was big, big enough that could take who knows how long to fix.
Much to her surprise a hand patted her on the head stunning momentarily stopping the tears.
"Red relax I'm not mad disappointed but not mad I have long since accepted that mages are cowards who won't deal with the consequences of their actions." Daichi shrugged his shoulders not caring about the looks he was getting.
"What!"
"What do you expect. I mean I've done some messed up things but I'm still prepared to deal with the fallout of my actions." he countered much to everyone's surprise. "So no my expectation were already low as hell so I'm not surprised."
Kirche fell to her knees in shock. While her darling wasn't angry she was stunned to find he wasn't angry not because of his love for her or even the familiar mark. It was simply because he had long since lost the belief that a noble could be anything better then what they were.
Walking to her Daichi picked up the voluptuous red head as he continued to roam around Siesta not far behind.

"What do you mean we can't go after Tabitha!" Louise shouted as a group consisting of herself, Daichi, Kirche, Saito and of course Princess Henrietta.
"Not at that volume but I agree." Kirche chimed in still not use to the volume Louise shouted.
"It can't be helped Miss Vallière
With her eyes closed Henrietta took a deep breath centering herself. As she exhaled she looked the Tristain born noble in the eye. "It is complicated mostly politics and red tape that restricts our movements with neighboring kingdoms."
Much to the surprise of everyone Louise didn't back down instead she seemed to stand a little taller locking eyes with her childhood friend. "Everytime one of us were in danger Tabitha had always been there to help us and she did it without asking for anything in return." Louise argued back standing her ground.
"I understand how you feel Ms. Vallière but without proof are meerly grasping at straws." Henrietta said making sure to maintain the appearance of professionalism.
Hearing this Louise stormed toward the door only to stop to grab her familiar by the back of his collar. "Come on Saito the Princess wants proof we'll give her proof."

"Louise is this enough proof for you?" Daichi asked as he wasn't sure how it happened but almost as soon as they arrived at the academy an unknown girl arrived claiming to be Tabitha's sister. In a sense it was possible for the girl had similiar hair and eye color.
The odd thing was that while she resembled Tabitha from the neck down she very much like Kirche both being of a similiar height, shapely hips and large breasts while not as big as Tiffia were still some of the largest around.
This wouldn't be a problem if not for the fact that A) Once she spotted Daichi she immediately took him to the ground rubbing her cheek to his, and B) was as Naked as the day she was born.
"Why is it always Daichi or Saito?" One of the noble boys cried waterfall tears flowing down his face. "What is it with girls liking commoners?!"
"Okay Illococoo so your Tabitha's sister right, might I ask why your latched onto my darling?" Kirche asked glaring at the girl pressing up to her darling like lovers. That's her job damn it!
"I need him to save Onee-sama!" the bluenette screamed pulling Daichi closer to her. "You have to save her!" she then proceed to shake him around with a surprising amount of strength.
"Why?" everyone asked not sure why Daichi was so important.
Pushing off of him Illococoo placed her finger on her chin. "Well Onee-sama said Daichi cared so little about nobles and politics that anything he did Germania would simply claim him a pissed off commoner." Illococoo quoted a letter she was reading off of where she was hiding it was the biggest mystery of all.
Hearing this Kirche rubbed the bridge of her nose. "That actually makes sense." Kirche groaned thanks to Germania's strength there was very little any one Kingdom could do. Combined will the fact that Germania is allied with Tristain so long as no one reports it they were fine. So it was basically a win win situation. We succeed Tabitha comes back safely, if we lose nothing happens no kingdom ordered this it was simply people going rogue.
"Darling gear-up we're going to Gallia, time for a rescue mission!" Kirche shouted fist high in the air.

Author's Note
I admit I am cutting a few corners in the chapters it's becaue this series is finally coming to it's conclusion. Yes it's been many years but it's time for Blood and Fire to come to an end.
Next will be the last chapter and maybe an epilogue.
That's the chapter let's review Colbert's alive only to lose his ship to Daichi. And yes Daichi is petty as hell.
And yes at this point Daichi has basically lost all faith in idea that nobles are really worth much. Yes he knows not all nobles are bad but the bad far out shadows the good.
