A prototype story idea I had...
Harry wasn't sure what he expected to see when he entered the Dursley's house after his third year at Hogwarts... his Mother, somehow entirely alive and breathing, was not it. He gaped at her, unable to move, even when Vernon shoved him.
"What are you doing, bo... Lily?" He said, startled as hell to see the very women sitting on his couch.
"Lily, what are you talking about Ver...non." Petuna's eyes watered as she saw her sister. "Lily." She whispered, her tone broken and weak.
His mother frowned at them, her green eyes shinning with hate. With a wave of her hand, they were all before her, standing only feet from her... well, Harry was standing, the Dursley's were all kneeling. A soft pink glow around his mother stalled any questions, he could feel a tremendous force filling the room. It was stronger then any magic he had ever felt before, a million times greater then the whispers he felt at Hogwarts of Diagon Alley.
"HOW DARE YOU!" His mother screamed, smacking Petunia so hard she actually flew through the air into the wall. "IF YOU HAD PASSED, I WOULD HAVE LOVED DUDLEY LIKE HE WAS MY OWN. YOU WILL SUFFER FOR THIS, I SWEAR TO YOU!" She let out a long, pained sigh, before turning to him once again. "Harry... baby... my little doe... I know this must seem odd, afterall no mortal magic can bring the dead to life... but I am not mortal. You see, in truth, I am the Goddess of Love, Beauty, Fertiliy and so many other things... my true name, that of my soul, is Aphrodite and I am your mother... kind of."
He frowned, stunned. "Kind of?"
She sighed again, this time less pained and more afraid. "Gods can exist in many places at once, creating splinters of our minds and energy. Your entire world, is has no gods, but gods from all worlds have access to it. We can create mortal forms to live in your world, like vacation. This is where magic comes from in humans actually, we have no divine power in our human form, but a tiny trace of mystical energy that creates a seed among our living descendants. Eventually sometimes that seed allows one to connect to the magic of your world.
However, what I did was different. I forsook my memories entirely, allowed a fraction of me to become entirely mortal. I had no power to pass on, no memories... nothing. Then I was reborn as a mortal baby, Lily. The body I took had access to magic, which was pure chance really. I lived my life, fell in love... and died saving you. When I did, what should have happened was that my memories would have slowly reintergrated but since God memories and Human memories are not the same it should have been like watching a movie, no emotional energy shared.
I died for love, a loving sacrifice invoking my domain as Aphrodite, allowing my Divine power to shine through. This is why you lived, pure love alone could not stop the Kiling Curse but a Goddesses love could. The magic damaged my essence, and it took all these years to finally heal enough to return to me, which is why I have not appeared before now. For that I am eternally sorry, my love."
Somehow, Harry believed her, he could feel the honesty in her words like it was magic. They sank into him like warmth from a fireplace, soothing a pain he never knew he had. "Mom... it's okay." Then he was squished into a warm hug.
"Oh my baby... my little boy, it is not fine... but I can make it fine." She kicked out as soon as she let go of him, hitting Vernon's face. "Dumbledore maintianed the blood spell by tying it to these pieces of vermon... but I have a better idea. I will take you to my world, where your blood siblings live, so you can be protected through them! You can learn to fight as a demigod, practice your wizard magic free of the Trace and have a great time, baby!
Oh and that reminds me, Lord Zeus and I have seen your future. A human like Voldie, trying for immortality is disgraceful, and so for his crimes of killing so many... I can help you, his destined defeater. I will make you a demigod and arrange for you a teacher for your magic."
Numb, Harry asked. "Who is my teacher?"
"Me, Pup." Harry whipped around, and saw Sirius standing there, smiling at him.., only he looked happy, healthy and vibrant. "Your mom's goddess magic packs a real punch. I feel great, she even healed my magic from the damage of Azkaban! She made me a priest of hers, so I can join you in this other world, and woke up the metamorphagus magic in my blood!"
Harry hugged Sirius, even as he asked. "What was that last thing?"
"Metamorpagi, Harry, is a person who can shapeshift because they bear my blessing. However since Sirius's family rejected love for so long, they lost the power,... except for the first child born under true love, your cousin Nymphadora Tonks. You have Black Blood Harry, when you get your powers as a Demigod, you will gain a far greater form of Metamorphagus magic then anyone in this world can understand." His mom cackled. "Now, I don't have a lot of time left, gods are restricted from being around their kids... but what I can do is let you know the punishment my sister and Vernon will feel...
For your crimes against my son, you will never feel the warmth of Love again. All beauty will fade from your life, your passions bleeding out until all you are left with is permanent emptiness. Dudley ,you are spared solely as it was not your doing that you were rasied to be a brute... and so I offer you this. Repent and one day you may recieve my blessing. Until then, be good." Standing, his mom waved her hand, creating a Pink fire in the Fireplace. " Say Camp Halfblood and it will take you to your new summer home Percy... oh and one last thing before you go... I foresee that your next few years will be hard, so train hard with Sirius and transform yourself into a warrior... and be good my love." She kissed him once more and he felt a surge of power wash through him, like pure love...
With Sirius in hand, Harry stepped into the Fire and called out. "CAMP HALFBLOOD!" Vanishing from the world of his birth for the summer.
