The Sports Festival had finally ended and all of the students had just recently left their classrooms, beginning to make their way home. The sun was now beginning to set as both Kyouka and Izuku were walking towards the campus exit, having just been told some information from Aizawa. He announced to their class that they have the next 2 days of school off.

This was good news to Kyouka, finally having a nice break after training these past 2 weeks and today feeling like it lasted forever. She would much prefer having a break that's a little longer than 2 days, but she'll take what she can get.

At least she had removed all of her bandages right after the awards ceremony and looked as good as new now. It was the exact same situation for most of her classmates. Unfortunately, Izuku's right arm was stuck in a sling, still recovering from his surgery.

On the upside, Ochako and Momo had gone ahead of them after Kyouka insisted that they go ahead, so she could help Izuku with his stuff.

She mainly insisted that to be alone with Izuku, but her plan was almost foiled when Ochako offered a helping hand. Thankfully, Momo intervened by asking Ochako to accompany her to the station, saying that she didn't want to be alone.

And of course, Ochako couldn't refuse her request and agreed while trying to hide her reluctance.

'Do I have a wingman now? Or is it wingwoman? Either way, I have two things to thank Yaoyorozu for now. Makes me almost feel bad for beating her in our match. Hopefully, she can pull off more stunts like that in the future. Could she also possibly bribe Uraraka to stay away from Izuku? Wait, damn, I can't make it too obvious that I want Uraraka to stay away. That'll make me look horrible. Guess I won't be able to demand too much from Yaoyorozu.'

Kyouka cupped her chin as she imagined more possibilities that could come from having Momo. Unfortunately, she didn't seem like the type who would always make sure that Kyouka stays alone with Izuku, but having it happen once in a while is better than not having it at all.

She then looked at Izuku, hearing him humming a little song to himself as she smiled, letting the music flow into her ears. She would've enjoyed it a little longer, if not for the demonic-sounding growl nearby her.

Bakugo walked past the two friends, growling with the medal still in his mouth as he kept his teeth clenched the entire time.

Kirishima was walking by the explosive boy and patted his back, sighing. "Come on, man. You can at least hold onto that medal with your hand."

Bakugo just growled louder, shaking his head as Izuku sweatdropped. "Hopefully these next 2 days will allow Kacchan to cool off…"

"I don't know, it's kind of entertaining to see him being all butthurt." Kyouka remarked with a smirk. "It's a nice change of pace to see him getting angry over victory out of all things. Kinda ironic."

"It is a different kind of anger I've seen from him, that's for sure."

"Okay, enough about Bakugo." Kyouka said before clearing her throat. "You know how we talked about going out to celebrate, right? You mind if we take a small rain check on that?"

Izuku raised an eyebrow. "Celebrate? You still want to celebrate? I mean, of course I have no problem with it, but I'm curious."

"Well, I know we didn't win, but I'd like to think we gave a killer performance, especially you. So I think that we earned ourselves a little celebration." Kyouka replied before quietly mumbling to herself. "Your loss was total bullshit anyway."

"I guess you have a point there. In that case, I don't mind a rain check. I'm glad to be going out in the first place."

"So how much longer does your arm have to be in that sling?" Kyouka asked, pointing at the sling.

"Recovery Girl told me I could take it off the day after tomorrow." Izuku answered, looking at his arm. "My arm will still need to be bandaged up for a little longer to fully recover, but soon I'll be as good as new."

"Good. Let's go out once those bandages are off."

"Is that why you want to have a rain check? I have no problem going out like this. It won't be much of a hassle."

"Yeah, but going to the station sounds dangerous for you, considering how crowded the train always gets. People constantly bumping into you will mess up your arm more and then you'll end up having to wear that thing even longer." Kyouka explained, lightly tapping his injured arm. "And don't worry, I'm fine with waiting. Knowing my parents, they'll want a family celebration by going out to dinner or something along those lines. So I'd probably still need that rain check even if your arm wasn't injured."

Kyouka wasn't lying about her parents wanting to go celebrate. If they're willing to have a party from just watching her compete in the festival, it was no question that they'd be willing to go out to celebrate. However, she would've gladly bailed on them if Izuku was available for tomorrow. Alas, that option isn't available to her.

Izuku sighed, lowering his head. "Okay, okay, I understand. But I still feel kind of bad for making you wait longer than necessary because of my injury."

"Don't worry, you'll make it up to me when you treat me when we do go out." Kyouka stated with a smirk. "I might end up choosing some expensive place."

"P-Please don't kill my wallet like that…" Izuku pleaded, fearing the life of his wallet. "I already hurt it enough with all the All Might merchandise I buy."

Kyouka chuckled and twirled around her earphone jack. "Your wallet will survive. I'm just as fine if we go to the cheapest place we can find. The important part is that we have a good time and that the food tastes good. Actually, that gives me an idea. How about I come over to your house in 2 days and we can have some lunch? I'll bring it over."

"Hmm, that sounds like a great idea. But are you sure that's not any trouble for you?"

"Of course it isn't. You'll deserve to have the food brought to you, cause you'll probably be bored all day tomorrow."

Izuku shook his head. "I won't be bored at all. My mom recorded the entire festival so I'll be watching the entire recording, and I'll definitely have to watch your match against Ashido at least twice since I missed it."

Kyouka rubbed her arm, looking to the side. "It wasn't all that impressive… All I did was use my earphone jacks as di-"

"H-Hey, no spoilers! Even though I already know the result of that match, seeing how it goes down for myself will be a great experience. Unfortunately, it won't be anything like seeing it in person, but this is the closest I can get."

"Alright, I'll keep you spoiler free."

Izuku looked up at the sky and smiled. "Man, I can't wait to take notes on it."

"But you're right handed. Are you sure you can write your notes tomorrow?"

"I can try with my left hand. It might look horrible, but I'm sure it'll be somewhat readable. I can't let an injury get in the way of my notes."

"Okay, but please don't put all your energy into writing your notes. I want you to spend the rest of today and most of tomorrow taking it easy."

"I will. But am I at least allowed to jog around the neighborhood?"

"You can take a brisk walk around the neighborhood."

"Lifting weights?"

"Nothing too heavy and only with your left arm."

Izuku continued to propose different exercises as Kyouka shut them down and proposed less strenuous alternatives for each exercise. This exchange continued until Izuku finally agreed to all of Kyouka's proposals much to his displeasure even though it was the best thing for him to do.

Moonlight was shining in the night sky as Kyouka had barely taken a step past the gate in front of her house and was immediately disappointed at the sight in front of her.

All of their windows on the first floor were broken, a few of the shirts her dad commissioned were on the roofs of some of their neighbors, a microphone laying on their lawn, and a giant poster with her face on it right was hanging above the door.

'I knew he was going to party, but I didn't think it'd be this crazy… I know at least 99% of this is dad's doing. He seriously broke our windows and brought out the t-shirt cannon. And where did that microphone come from?' Kyouka thought to herself, walking to the door. 'If it's this bad outside, I'm scared to see what the inside looks like.'

She raised her hand to knock on the door but was immediately interrupted by the door suddenly opening and getting hugged by both of her parents at once.

"Kyouka!" Her parents simultaneously shouted out.

Kyouka widened her eyes before giving a small laugh. "Were you guys waiting at the door?"

"Nope. It was pure instinct from my awesome mind." Kyoutoko stated with a smirk as he and his wife let go of their daughter.

Mika leaned in, whispering in Kyouka's ears. "Your father waited and called me over as soon as he saw you approaching."

"You better not be badmouthing me, Mika!" Kyoutoko shouted, pointing at his wife.

Mika chuckled. "I'm not, I'm not. I wouldn't ruin your 'coolness' like that."

"Well, either way, I appreciate you guys greeting me right off the bat." Kyouka said. "But I have to ask. Why is it such a mess from out here?"

"Your father and his friends got a little too hyped up while watching the festival, shooting t-shirts on our neighbors' houses, hanging up that poster, and worst of all... shouting so loud, they shattered the windows, but that was mainly thanks to your father." Mika sighed, facepalming. "And the microphone…"

Flashback

"Come on, Kyouka! Get past those dumb robots!" Kyoutoko shouted into his mic as he held onto it, his friends cheering as well.

"Woohoo!"

"You got this, little lady!"

"Damn, that Midoriya kid is pretty good. Good thing your daughter is friends with him. He was a great help in the beginning."

Kyoutoko smiled, looking at his friend. "Oh yeah, Midoriya's got some serious skills according to Kyouka. I take pride in knowing a rocking kid like tha-"

"It looks like Jirou is hitching a ride on Midoriya's back while they're getting past the first obstacle! Is that even allowed?! What's with Class 1-A?!"

"Midnight stated that anything goes as long as they stay in the course. So as far as I'm concerned, this is allowed."

"Now this is a power couple we should all watch!"

"Awwww."

This came from everyone in the room except for Kyoutoko who tightened his grip on the mic, looking at the way his daughter is riding Izuku's back. "Power couple?! What does that boy think he's doing?! I'm gonna teach that rascal a lesson next time I see him!"

"You don't have to be like that, Kyoutoko. This is just a simple strategy that benefits both Midoriya and our daughter." Mika consoled before giving a small giggle. "Also, the two of them look so adorable like that."

"Tch, I guess you have a point on it being a beneficial strategy. But I will not admit to it being adorable." Kyoutoko grumbled. "Okay, maybe it is a little adora-"

He suddenly stopped himself as he saw Kyouka resting her body on Izuku's back before feeling a fiery rage overtake him as a small blush formed over Mika's cheeks. "Oh my… How bold of you, Kyouka."

"Don't get too comfortable with him, Kyouka!" Kyoutoko shouted before tossing his mic at the window, going right through it and shattering the window. "He's nothing but a disgusting boy! Don't you dare trust him!"

Kyouka's expression was deadpan after hearing that little story. 'That explains it.'

"I had to stop him from throwing another one after you and Midoriya hugged each other after you both won that first game. He did already throw and break our best one." Mika remembered, crossing her arms. "And it's not like shattering that first window mattered since he shattered the rest anyways during your matches. It still doesn't excuse him for shattering them at all though."

Kyoutoko clasped his hands together, giving a small bow. "If it's any consolation, I'll pay for the windows and the microphone…'

"That isn't consolation. That's called taking responsibility. We should've had the party outside like I requested, but your father insisted that an indoor party is a lot more rocking. I won't say he's wrong on that statement, but it was a little too much. I've been to afterparties that are a lot tamer."

"What can I say? Our daughter deserves the best parties to be thrown for her. I may regret the damage I've done to the windows and the microphone, but I don't regret how amazing the party was."

Mika facepalmed but still gave a small smile. "It was an amazing party indeed. It gave Kyouka and Midoriya the hype they both deserve."

"Speaking of Midoriya, how's he doing?" Kyoutoko asked in concern, acting like he wasn't angry at Izuku earlier. "He looked like he was really pushing himself hard with his fight against that Todoroki kid. The fight was so intense that it left everyone speechless and on the edge of their seat."

Kyouka twirled around her earphone jack. "He's doing fine right now. He's not fully healed up, but all he needs is some rest and he'll be back to normal."

"That's a relief to hear." Kyoutoko said, patting Kyouka's head and giving a gentle smile. "Gotta say, me and your mom were worried sick about your fight against that Bakugo. But you put up one heck of a fight, giving him the classic one-two and almost won. We couldn't be more proud of your performance at the festival."

Mika nodded, giving the same smile. "Yes, and we both look forward to how much more you'll progress in the future. So keep on moving forward on the path of becoming a hero, Kyouka, and you're sure to accomplish great things."

Kyouka stared at her parents for a few seconds, not expecting those words all of the sudden before smiling at them. "I will. So keep watching as me and Izuku get stronger and next year we'll blow you guys away. You might need to prepare for a crazier party. Too bad it'll be another mess to clean up though."

"Oh, your father will be cleaning everything up. Am I right?" Mika asked, giving her husband the most innocent smile ever.

Kyoutoko felt a shiver go down his spine and rapidly nodded. "Y-Yes, ma'am!"

Kyouka took a peek inside and saw confetti, chip crumbs, empty pizza boxes, beer cans, soda cans, and even a few stains on the carpet from the drinks before giving a long whistle. 'Yeesh… Now that's a mess I would never want to clean up.'

"Hey, Kyouka, how about giving your supportive dad at least a little bit of help?" Kyoutoko requested, but sounded more like begging.

Kyouka widened her eyes before yawning and stretching. "Sorry, Dad. Today really took it out of me. I think I'll need to go take a bath after that grueling festival and head off to bed right after. But good luck on the cleaning."

Kyouka then walked past her dad as Mika handed her husband a broom and dustpan before walking away as well. "I'll be doing the same, dear. Don't come back to the room until the house is spotless."

Kyoutoko turned to his loving wife and daughter, holding up the broom with despair on his face. "You two can't leave me like this! Please! Show me mercy!"

Later in the night, Kyouka slid her notebook under the bed, having finished writing about her day in the bath earlier. Her bronze medal was hanging off the wall right above her bed with her green choker laying on the desk before she laid on her bed.

She could hear her dad sweeping the floor downstairs and grumbling to himself that most of the mess is his friends' faults before she smiled. "So ridiculous…"

2 Days Later

Kyouka was standing right in front of the door of Izuku's apartment before knocking on it with her free hand.

Her other hand was currently occupied by holding a bag of fast food that she picked up right before visiting Izuku. And her earphone jack was carrying a drink carrier that contained a soda, a milkshake, and iced tea.

Since she and Izuku couldn't go out like they had initially planned, she decided to bring the food to him.

Prior to coming to his apartment, she had texted him and asked what he wanted. She already knew what he wanted beforehand with how well she knows him, but it was common courtesy to at least ask.

Of course, they would both still go out one of these days to a food court or a restaurant. But just going to his house and eating there is good enough for her.

Even though she was just going to his apartment, she wanted to look somewhat nice, wearing a blue and black striped sweater, a satchel hanging on her shoulder, dark green jeans with rips around her knees, and even her green choker that goes with her hero costume.

Recently, she had become a lot more attached to this choker even though it was only supposed to be worn with her hero costume at first. Maybe it was because she wore it for the entirety of the Sports Festival and showed it off to the world right at the end.

Like she predicted, her parents took her out to dinner yesterday to celebrate her accomplishments at the Sports Festival and the entire time she was wearing that choker.

Even when she took a shower last night and a bath the night before, she hesitated on taking it off. She honestly wouldn't be surprised if she ended up wearing that to school every day from now on.

In fact, that doesn't sound like a bad idea. But if she's going to be wearing it for both her casual wear and her hero costume then she should probably have it modified to be more durable.

Maybe she can check out the support department tomorrow and see what can be done about that. It may be a little too early in the school year to do that, but it's not like she'll be making any major modifications to her costume or anything so it shouldn't be a big deal.

'Adding studs to the choker sounds pretty cool. But should I stop at just modifying my choker? I wonder if I could also add a-'

Before Kyouka could go any further with her thoughts, the door opened, revealing a smiling Inko.

"Hello, Jirou. I'm so glad to have you here."

Kyouka smiled back and waved. "It's a pleasure to be here, Mrs. Midoriya." She then stepped inside and began to remove her shoes. "Hope I'm not being a bother."

Inko waved her off. "Not at all. Your company is a delight to both me and Izuku. If I'm being honest with you, I wished you would've let me cook for you two, but I understand the feeling of sharing a bag of fast food with a friend."

"Your cooking would 100% be a lot tastier than fast food, but it's like you said, it's a nice feeling. Also, I know Izuku told me you didn't want anything, but I couldn't help myself to at least get you something." Kyouka said, reaching in the bag of food before pulling out a chicken wrap and handing it to Inko. "I'm not sure if you like this or not, but I hope this iced tea will satisfy you at least."

She then raised up the drink carrier and was about to hand it over to Inko before the woman began to cry tears of joy, forming a small puddle at her feet as she held the chicken wrap. "Oh, how sweet of you! My baby boy has such a generous friend!"

Izuku's head popped out from his room. "Mom, what's the matt- Oh, hey Kyouka. May I ask what happened here?"

"Well, your mom was overjoyed that I brought her some food. Gotta say, I'm a little embarrassed by making her like this."

"But this isn't your first time making her this happy."

"I know, but it's embarrassing that I'm causing this. It's way too flattering."

"I'm sorry for embarrassing you, but I can't help but feel so happy that my Izuku has an amazing friend." Inko said, wiping her tears. "Well, I'll be out of your hair now. You two enjoy yourselves. Remember where you're going to eat, Izuku."

Izuku's cheeks went a little red as his mom walked to the living room. "Y-Yeah, I know…"

"Are we not eating in the kitchen?"

"No, we're eating in my room…"

"Oh… Well, that shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Internally, she was excited to be eating in his room instead of the kitchen, but she wanted to keep cool in front of Izuku.

"No, it shouldn't be… Please, come in…"

Izuku then slowly brought his head back into his room as Kyouka walked in, seeing her hero dressed in a plain red t-shirt with black basketball shorts. 'So simple, yet so adorable…'

Unfortunately, his arm was covered in bandages, but she wanted to do her best to not focus on it so much, to avoid any depressing thoughts invading her mind.

Izuku lightly gulped, gesturing towards the coffee table towards the middle of the room. "I told my mom that it was okay for us to eat in the kitchen, but she heavily insisted on putting the coffee table here so we can eat here."

Ever since Kyouka saw his room last year, he would allow her to go inside whenever she came over, but it still didn't make him feel any less shy about her being in here. At least he wasn't freaking out like he did the first time after he was done fanboying after the All Might figurines when he realized that a girl was seeing his room for the very first time.

"Alright, I got your cheeseburger and your soda right here." Kyouka said, placing the bag and drink carrier onto the table before putting her satchel on the floor. "And I got my chicken sandwich and milkshake."

"Thanks. Now show me the receipt. I'll pay in full." Izuku offered, grabbing his wallet from his drawer.

"Hey, put that wallet back, mister." Kyouka demanded, sitting on the floor and taking the food out of the bag. "I'm doing this for you so don't take it away from me."

"Come on, at least let me pay half for my meal."

"Yeah, I don't think so. Remember, it's going to be your treat when we do go out. And you know the food from this place is pretty cheap in the first place. Or are you just trying to get out of having to pay more money when it's your turn to pay?"

"Y-You know that's not the reason at all! I couldn't care less about the amount of money!" Izuku defended himself before putting his wallet back and sat down on the floor. "Okay, you win... The food will get cold if we keep arguing about this."

Kyouka took a sip of her milkshake. "You know, we should keep score of how many arguments each of us win. But I think we both know who would be in the lead by a long shot."

Izuku took a bite of his burger, chewing it before swallowing. "That's only because you're a master manipulator and turn the argument against me. If I was as good with my words as you then the score would be much closer."

"Sure. You keep telling yourself that." Kyouka teased, taking a bite of her sandwich.

Izuku shot her a glare as he was chewing on some fries, but Kyouka knew the glare contained zero resentment in it. If anything, it made her happy that Izuku was so used to her teasing after having to deal with it for 3 years now. At first, she was a little scared to tease him, thinking it would drive him away from her. It seemed only natural that he would hate teasing due to him constantly being mistreated by his "friends" when he was younger.

Of course, almost no one loves getting teased in general, but luckily Izuku immediately knew that her teasing is all in good fun and that he can trust her to never take it too far. Hell, she could remember the first time he teased her.

It was at the middle of their second year of middle school when Kyouka accidentally mixed up the dates for the midterms and thought it was a week before it actually was. She had been freaking the day before, not feeling prepared for it and studied throughout the entire night.

Then when she met up with Izuku the next day, she was looking like a mess as she held a textbook in hand before Izuku asked why she was acting so strange.

When he got his answer, he merely laughed, not believing that his best friend mixed up the date of the midterms before starting to play along that they were about to have their midterms.

Kyouka was left speechless and embarrassed that Izuku laughed at her like that and that she did something so stupid.

But at the same time, she was happy that Izuku was comfortable and bold enough to tease her like that. It showed that she was slightly influencing him and that Izuku was gaining confidence little by little.

So now she has no fear of doing it. It's especially worth teasing him to get those adorable reactions out of him.

She then glanced at his right arm and couldn't help but slightly frown as she noticed that he wasn't using it at all to eat his food. He probably wanted to give his arm a rest after having it in a sling for 2 days. She wouldn't be surprised if he continued to use his left hand for the next day or two for small tasks like writing.

"By the way, how's your arm doing now?"

"It feels much better after taking off that sling. For the most part, I can move my arm just fine, but I have some discomfort in my hand, but that'll go away soon. However, I still shouldn't strain my arm even though it's mostly healed up from what Recovery Girl told me." Izuku sighed. "So I guess that means still no training for a couple of days. But at least I can exercise to keep my body active."

Kyouka raised an eyebrow. "You sound way too disappointed that you can't train."

"I know, but it's very important that I get to training as soon as possible so I can continue to improve my control over this power. Full Cowling was definitely a huge leap forward, but 5% is not enough in the long run. I know I'm always willing to break my body to win, but I'd prefer if I could avoid that."

"We both would prefer that…" Kyouka said, staring at her half-finished sandwich. "Now that I think about it, when you and Todoroki had that giant clash, it looked like you were using more than 5% of your power. Were you?"

"Oh, that? Well, at the moment, I was able to force out 13%. It's not something I can constantly keep on though. At least not yet. It puts a lot of strain on my body when I push it like that."

"Can't say I'm fond of the effects it has on your body, but it doesn't sound close to being as bad as breaking your bones. I can imagine short bursts of 13% being useful in the future. You never know when you'll need a quick burst of power."

Izuku smiled as he held up a fry. "Exactly. But if I use it too much in a short period of time, my body will probably be in too much pain to move and then I'll be a sitting duck. I'll have to practice with that more in the future, but my main priority now should definitely be training my body more so it can handle higher percentages and possibly get a little more experimental with different fighting styles." He then pointed his fry at the three drinks in front of him. "For example, it makes no sense to just drink soda with every meal. It's always good to mix things up with drinks like milkshakes and iced teas. Or else you'll become predictable in no time."

Kyouka cupped her chin as Izuku ate the fry. "You come up with the most unusual metaphors sometimes, but I can kinda see what you me- Ah crap, I totally forgot to give your mom her iced tea!"

Izuku almost choked on that fry and pounded his chest as looked at the iced tea. "I-It was for my mom?! I thought you brought it as an extra drink for yourself."

"No, I was supposed to give it to your mom when I gave her that chicken wrap. I guess I got a little overwhelmed by her joyous reaction and brought it with me." Kyouka said, facepalming. "Damn, that sucks."

"Don't worry, I can give it to he-" Izuku began to say as he reached for the drink, but it was quickly snatched by Kyouka's earphone jack.

Kyouka then grabbed onto the drink with her hand, standing up. "Just sit and enjoy your food. I'll give it to your mom. It was my mistake after all."

Izuku pouted. "Fine… But there might be a chance you'll be missing a fry or two…"

Kyouka knew that Izuku would never touch her food without permission and just smiled at him before beginning to leave the room as Izuku stared at her from the back, his eyes completely focused on her until she was out of his sight before he blinked. "What was that…?"

Izuku laid his right arm on the table, starting to slowly tap on it as his other arm was occupied with grabbing fries. 'It's not abnormal for me to watch Kyouka when she leaves, but something about what just happened feels different somehow… I can't put my finger on it. At that moment, it was kinda like… I was in a white void and she was the only thing I could see. As if she was the only thing in existence other than myself. Does that sound weird? It probably sounds super weird. I'm being so weird that my palm is getting sweaty. I should just forget it.'

He placed his left hand on his chest to wipe off the sweat and felt his heart pounding. The pounding wasn't anything crazy, but it certainly wasn't normal.

'What the… Is this happening because of the way I was looking at Kyouka? But how come?'

This made no sense to him. The two of them have hung out countless times in the past and have been eating lunch together every single day ever since middle school began.

So why was he seeing her like this now?

Was he physically attracted to Kyouka just because she's a beautiful girl? No, that's ridiculous. He's always known that Kyouka is beautiful, but he hasn't felt his heart pound like this before. When they first met, his heart would race, but it was mainly due to his nervousness about being around a new person and a girl.

He kept his hand on his chest, trying his best to understand the situation.

It was no question that he cared for Kyouka a lot. She's his best friend and has been supportive for as long as he's known her. No one could ever replace her. He's always considered himself blessed for knowing her ever since they became friends. When she's around, he feels like he can do anything in the world. He was fully prepared to fight Bakugo when he won his match against Kyouka, even though he was out of the tournament at that point and it would be breaking the rules. Even now, he feels like he'd be willing to fight Bakugo without cowering down like he used to.

'I wonder… Could I possibly have feelings for Kyou-'

"Sorry I took a while. Wanted to ask your mo-"

Izuku yelped and slammed his hand on the table with force, knocking over his drink and spilling it all over his right arm, staining the bandages.

Kyouka jumped at Izuku's sudden action. "I-Izuku?"

Izuku felt the dampness over his right arm and looked at it before lowering his head in shame. "Dang it, my right arm is going to be feeling all sticky and smell like soda until I change these bandages. I don't think I own any bandages, so I'll have to head to the pharmacy later."

"Do you mind if I help you change those bandages?" Kyouka asked as she discreetly slipped a piece of paper into her pocket.

"What? But didn't you hear me say that I don't own bandages?" Izuku asked, tilting his head.

"Yeah, but I do." Kyouka stated, grabbing her satchel and reaching inside before pulling out a roll of bandages.

"Do you always carry those around with you?"

"I-I actually have a whole first aid kit in my satchel, but it's for emergencies. You never know when you'll need one, right?"

"That is true. It's important for an aspiring hero to always be prepared." Izuku agreed, cupping his chin with his clean hand.

In truth, she kept it around just in case she would have to use it on Izuku specifically. She wouldn't say it's because of her lack of faith in him to be skilled enough to avoid danger. It's mainly because of her lack of faith in him being careful enough to avoid danger.

Of course she'd be willing to use it on anyone else who needs it. Well, maybe except for two certain boys in her class, but that's a whole other matter.

"So, what was with that reaction? You rarely get scared when I sneak up on you these days." Kyouka asked, walking over to her hero and sitting down in front of him. "Your arm please."

"I-I was just in deep thought about… training my quirk…" Izuku lied, looking to the side as he lifted up his right arm. "Sorry for being so startled like that when you came in."

"It's fine. I know the feeling of being startled while deep in my thoughts." Kyouka said, beginning to carefully unwrap the bandages that were around his arm and gasped as soon as she saw his hand. "Izuku…"

His right hand had two scars on it and she could see a slight crookedness in his fingers. The damage didn't look like it would majorly affect him in the future, but she wouldn't be surprised if his writing became shaky for a little while.

Kyouka traced her finger over the scars, feeling their callousness as she toughened herself up to hold in her tears. 'This didn't have to happen… His hand should be in perfect condition and there should be a gold medal hanging on his wall right now.'

"So I've been meaning to ask this since the Sports Festival, but how was the surgery?" Kyouka asked, keeping her focus on the scars. "I know it was a success and all, but I want to know what you felt about it. If you were scared or had any regrets about injuring yourself so much…"

"What I felt?"

"Yeah. But I'm not trying to say you should've had feelings for fear and regret or anything. I just feel like I have to know…"

"Well, honestly, I barely even thought about the surgery. The only regret I have about it is that I wasn't able to be there for your match against Ashido and give my full support." Izuku answered, a soft smile forming on his face. "But I swear that at next year's festival, I won't be as beat up as I am now or miss a single second of any of your matches."

Kyouka looked at her hero and smiled as well. "You better not…" She stood up "Let me get a damp paper towel so your arm won't get sticky. I'll be quick."

She then left the room and was back in under a minute, before she sat back down in front of Izuku with a damp paper towel in hand.

Kyouka proceeded to gently dab his arm with the paper towel before beginning to slowly and carefully wrap his entire right arm with bandages. Izuku kept himself silent during the entire process as kept his eyes on Kyouka's face, seeing how focused she is and felt his heart begin to pound again as it did before.

'Dammit… Maybe I do have those feelings…'

Kyouka finally finished and smiled, seeing that she did a good job with his bandages. "Does it feel nice and secure?"

Izuku nodded, trying to keep his mind away from his earlier thoughts of Kyouka as he moved his right arm around. "It does. Thanks for the help, Kyouka."

"Anytime. Just don't make it a habit to get patched up by me."

Izuku lightly chuckled. "I'll do my best."

"The food is getting cold now for sure." Kyouka stated, looking at the food that was left lying on the table.

"Sorry for wasting our time like that. We should've just kept eating and changed my bandages after."

"It's fine. Cold food doesn't equal the end of the world. But it does suck you don't have a drink now."

"It's fine. I have a few sports drinks in the fridge so I'll grab one of those." Izuku reassured her, standing up. "While I do that, I should probably get more paper towels for the table. I can't imagine my mom being too happy about me spilling soda all over that."

"I can help yo-" Kyouka began to say before Izuku held his fist out towards her.

"You've done enough for me today, Kyouka. Please enjoy the rest of your food and let me handle everything. Don't you trust me enough to do that?"

"You know that's an unfair question… But…" Kyouka then gave her hero a fist bump. "I do trust you to do that. Go on."

Izuku then left the room as Kyouka grabbed her sandwich and took a bite, looking at his desk and saw the snowglobe that she got him for Christmas.

'God, I love that man…'

A/N

And chapter 45 is done! A nice old original chapter which I haven't done in a hot minute. This chapter felt nice to write and no pressure with having to live up to canon.

Wanted to experiment with describing clothing in this chapter and I gotta say it feels pretty weird cause it's new territory for me. Maybe I'll get used to it over time. But the clothing options I picked are probably bad, considering I have zero knowledge of what looks good or not.

I was originally gonna have Izuku and Kyouka go out in this chapter, but I thought I could save that for a future chapter. It does kind of bug me that this chapter is similar to chapter 31, but with this story being as long as I have it planned out to be, there are bound to be similarities between chapters.

This chapter felt repetitive at times in my opinion, but I'll have to live with that.

Next chapter will be time for me to pick Izuku's hero name. God I'm fucked. I mean, I totally have one picked out. Ha ha...

But here's something important. I've recently been rethinking how I'm going to handle this story in the future. My original plans for future arcs were to keep Kyouka out of most of the big events and mainly show her reaction to them which in hindsight was a super lame idea for me to have. I want to start giving her a more active role which is something I experimented with a tiny bit during her fight with Bakugo. So crap that means I'll have to mess around with her quirk and costume a lot more than I planned. Also plot events.

Now onto the reviews

MythicalHirude: I'll probably do the 2nd OVA, and that's after the final exam arc I believe. Also, I want to give Todoroki and Kyouka a fun relationship.

anjoga42: I gotta admit, this might be my favorite review of all time. Loved that you called Kyouka "Chad Kyouka." But still, thanks for enjoying this.

Z: I did have one picked out, but decided not to go with it. Yeah, he will be doing it more early.

Ghostcraft9: Those opinions will be shared in the future.

bk201fan: I had fun writing it as well. Fun chapters are the best.

Ability King KK: Maybe a couple of heart attacks.

papaprep: Yeah, that's the scary part. It's gotta be good and sound good.

Lockheart25: Yeah, I know when. And it is. I thought the last arc was peak, but I was wrong.

Triton0501: Yeah, he probably would've just blown her off the stage immediately. But it would've made the fight too fast.

JesterGlytch: Wow… That is actually the best name suggestion I've had so far. I didn't even think about that. Honestly, the only reason I'm hesitating on that name is because of how it'll sound in the future. But who knows…

GrainOfSand: Solid name too. Damn both this one and Apollo are making me rack my brain. I still gotta explore my other options, but thanks.

justAziAn: Really? I always think the opposite. Thank you for that.

Guest: Kaboom.

Takei Daloui: Eventually, but that'll be far into the story.

Dragon storm: Does this day count?

Well, that's it for the reviews!

That's the end of this chapter! Please feel free to leave a review!
