One day later, they successfully arrived at the seaside town called Harlan.
When Lin Ye got out of the car, he is wearing a hoodie over a white t-shirt and he is wearing black jeans to match his hoodie. Lin Ye feels that the atmosphere here is a bit wrong.
It is noon, but the sky is foggy and a bit rainy. Around the town, Ursus's soldiers wearing black raincoats, carrying heavy drivers and short swords can be seen everywhere. Some of them stop the Rhode Island car, and then immediately surrounded them.
"Who?" An Ursus's soldier asks in a low tone. Lin Ye notices that when he was asking questions, his hand is on the handle of his sword. It seemed that he will draw it immediately if he finds something wrong. So, he hurriedly shows his identity card to him.
"Rhode Island?" The soldier checks Lin Ye's documents, then glances at the girls in the car. Then he nods slightly, "Understood, you can go in, but the car stays outside.
"Why?" Lin Ye is a little puzzled, "Can't we drive it in?"
The soldier returns the ID to Lin Ye, and he doesn't bother to say clearly.
"You'll know when you go in and take a look. The town is no longer open to traffic." After speaking, the soldiers dispersed.
Lin Ye tells the others about what had happened, and they had the same doubts as Lin Ye.
However, their doubt was quickly resolved. Because this small town called Harlan has been destroyed by a natural disaster of some sort.
More than 80% of the houses here have collapsed, the ruins and wreckage have covered the streets. Cars can hardly move on these streets. In desperation, everyone can only follow the advice of the soldiers, park their cars outside, and prepare to walk into the town.
"To be honest, this place is really is unpleasant," Matoimaru complains first.
"Towns that have suffered natural disasters are mostly like this," Frostleaf responds flatly. Although she is wearing her headphones, she heard what Matoimaru said. She obviously did not turn the volume to the maximum.
Amongst them, Magallan has the most luggage. As a scientific researcher, she not only wears that bulky uniform but also carries three bulging backpacks. One on the left shoulder, one on her right shoulder, and one still on the ground. For Lin Ye, she looks like a clumsy penguin.
Cute.
He smiled at this situation.
"Let me carry some for you," Lin Ye can't stand it anymore and takes the initiative to help her carry the third bag.
"T-Thanks you Doctor Lin Ye," Magallan glances at Lin Ye with grateful eyes.
"Glad to help," Lin Ye holds the luggage in his right hand and walks to the front of the group.
He is kind of like they said but what did they mean by him being dangerous around girls?

"Then, the next step is to go to the meeting place, right?" Lin Ye tries to act like a leader a bit, ask.
Blue Poison glances at the note with the address on it, "Harlan town... Harlan town is already like this. Is this place still intact?"
"Since Kal'tsit gives the address to us, there must be no problem," Lin Ye says, "I don't know if the other parties have arrived, but Ursus has obviously arrived. Now, all we have to do is find number 233, um, it seems It's not very simple. Let's find the house number nearby."
"We don't need to do that, it seems to be too troublesome," Frostleaf interrupts Lin Ye's words and then points to the only house not far away from them, the one standing the tallest, "That the only house in this small town that hasn't collapsed. I think that one is 233."

And it is indeed No. 233 in Harlan Town.
When he walks to the small building, Lin Ye feels that it is more like a tombstone, because there are a few bunches of wilted white flowers on the steps in front of the room.
"Are they here to remember the martyrs?" Frostleaf folds her hands and closes her eyes in front of the white flowers. She says softly, "Rest in peace."
Everyone who originally wanted to go in sees Frostleaf's actions and copy her.
After waiting for a while, they push the door together. As soon as they enter the room, they hear an extremely uncomfortable male voice.
Lin Ye frowns and follows where that voice is. Then he sees a figure standing in front of him. A thin man, with a sarcastic smile on his face.
"Huh? There are still men...say, are you a man?" The man holds his hands and said with a smile, "Sorry. I don't know much about this."
Why do feel I am targeted when I came in?
Lin Ye doesn't pay attention to the man but looks at the inside of the house. He finds that there are already many people in the house. Although Kal'tsit let them arrive earlier, they did use a lot of energy on the road, but it was still later. It's just.
Who are these guys?
Seeing that Lin Ye didn't answer, the man's smile gradually faded, "Hey, introducing yourself is a basic etiquette"
Oh, he's those types.
Lin Ye can feel a headache coming.
Before Lin Ye could speak, Magallan walks from behind Lin Ye and says to the man, "We are a team from Rhodes Island."
"Rhodes Island? Isn't that a pharmaceutical company?" The man looks at Magallan with interest, "What are you doing in such a place to join? Do we buy your cold medicines?"
Magallan, the pure child that she is, obviously not very good at dealing with this kind of trouble. She stammers a bit, "W-We are not here to sell cold medicine. We are here-."
"Okay, Magallan." Lin Ye pats her shoulder while not leaving his sight at the man, "This man is just wasting our time. We don't need to humour him"
Magallan looks at him surprisingly, "Doctor Lin Ye?"
Lin Ye was about to walk past the man, but he blocks him.
"Heh. I still not done with you all," The man smirked at him, "So what, a group of women? Did Rhodes Island really send a group of women to die?"
Lin Ye sighs helplessly at his predicament, he is really those types of people. The people that have too much past time and go out of their way to make everyone around insignificant than he is. He is very experience dealing with this type of trash- he means people.
Lin Ye stares at him indifferently, "Are you really that dumb?"
The room becomes quiet.
The man seems to not like what he said.
"What did you say?" The man seems to try to hide his anger but is failing miserably.
Too easy.
Lin Ye sighed at this.
"I asked, are you that dumb? Do you really think they are weak just because they are women?" He raised a brow at him, "If so, you even dumber than I thought."
"You wanna go punk!" The man grabbed Lin Ye by the collar and stared at him furiously.
The others behind were about to act but Lin Ye raises his hand to stop them.
"Are you going to hit," Lin Ye looks at the man with the same indifferent stares, "If so I was right."
"Huh?!"
"You must the type that makes people around them feel like shit to reassure themselves that they are better than anyone but really they just too insecure to admit it."
"Huh?!!" The man looks like he going to explode from anger alone.
Can that really happen? Explode oneself by being angry? With how weird this world is, Lin Ye will not be surprised if this is true.
Oh, he almost forgot that he is dealing with someone right now.
"If you hit me, it will be just like you admitting that I am right."
The man seems to be struggling to decide on what to do.
This is how he deals with types of people in his past life. They usually act strong and all but that's all it was, an act. A facade that put on themselves. It was their biggest weakness. If you talk about that, they will slowly crumble before his eyes. Like this man.
He knows that is weak physically wise, however psychological wise is another matter altogether.
The group behind looks at Lin Ye in surprise.
Matoimaru first thought about Lin Ye, was that he seems like a normal person, she seems to be wrong in that matter.
Blue poison has never seen Lin Ye act like this before. He would always be well mannered when talking with her
Frostleaf raises her brow in interest.
Magallan however remembers what Silence told her about Doctor Lin Ye.
"Don't let his appearance fool you, Magallan. Lin Ye is the type of person that will fight any fight. Even if his chance of winning is low if there is still a chance of him winning, even if it's less than 1%, he will fight. And If there is no chance of him winning he will make his chances of winning by his own way," Silence smiled as she thinks about this.
"That what a person he is."
Magallan looks at Lin Ye's back.
… I see.
As the man was struggling with himself, Lin Ye looks around the house. He tries to figure out what party this man was in.
He remembers that amongst the four parties that are collaborating with this project, only two of them he realizes arrive here.
The Ursus Empire and Rhodes Island. That only leaves Lungmen's party and the party under the woman named Mansha.
From what Lin Ye can see from this guy, is that his uniform is not like the ones that Lungmen's LGD would wear so that means that he is from Mansha's party.
Lin Ye asks straightforwardly, "Who even are you? Are you under the woman names Mansha?"
The man's expression changed slightly, but he soon conceals it. He sneers at him, "What's up with you?"
As soon as his voice fell, another female voice comes from outside the door.
"I am with her. It's okay, but if you talk about women, I will burn your pants off."
Everyone is taken aback; the man finally lets go of Lin Ye. Then all of them turn around and sees a beautiful girl standing by the door with a staff in her hand.
"If I were you and I would listen to what I said," The girl says.
