Chapter 42: "Door to Heaven" Pt. 8

Hello everyone! We're finally at the home stretch for this movie! But before that, reviews!

Phoenix Warehouse Productions: It was about certain individuals coming into the Nexus, though I guess I could look into Tremors (never watched, only a review video for it). I know Old Wolf Logan did a complete reaction to Jurassic Park already, so no; I didn't enjoy Armageddon, it's not bad I just never got into it; The Patriot pissed me off on a Historical level (same reason why I won't touch Kingdom of Heaven, but to a lesser extend), so no; and I've never even heard of the other ones.

0akarigan0: Me alegro de que lo hayas disfrutado, espero que esto sea tan bueno. Lo siento si esto no está bien escrito. Español no es mi idioma principal.

Dante Fernandez: Never actually heard of that one before (when I read the title, my mind instantly went to Hotel Transylvania instead). *Shrug* I also don't have a Netflix account, so watching it would be impossible for me anyway (and no, I'm not planning on getting one).

Wearergolf: I might have Jaune beat the crap out of team CRDL in a future chapter of "Alice in Wonderland" or something like that, but I think that's really it. Now that's not to say that a different Jaune won't be doing something similar, after all I've been getting a lot of people recently wanting me to react to their stories and I haven't had the time to read through them all. So it might be possible. Though those fights specifically, I don't think so.

The Storm Master 567: Yes, Iron Man is the next full movie to be shown, and I have seen the anime though not read the Manga. Not really sure how I can incorporate that character, nor which episodes to use (I mean, there's almost 200 of them to choose from; I'd rather not have to watch through all that just to see which ones I like, know what I mean?).

Kaiser The Challenger: I'll see what I can do. Man, it's been years since I've heard of that movie. I forgot how hilarious "Baby's Day Out" was growing up.

The godfather: Doing great. And that movie plan is dead. Had it for a while, and it was deleted when my old computer crashed that second time. So yeah, no Deadpool.

Thegermankaiserreich: Ah, well shit, guess that idea is out then. See, I don't have a Netflix account (never saw any need to do it in the first place), and honestly I don't see myself using the app very often to justify paying for it.

Naruto: Well luckily, this is the last one… for the movie at least. There's still the shows to look forward to.

Visiter-9: Trust me, they don't need it. Everything they lost would eventually be returned to them once they retake Atlantis (that's where the knowledge and artifacts came from after all).

StevenSkylock: I don't think I can, not a fan of DBZ all that much. More a fan of the Abridged version to be honest.

Guest: Like canon version? Canon is pretty good, he's got some experience under his belt and is way better at the sword. And this was over the course of 2 years, most of which he didn't have any professional training at all (Qrow may be a teacher, but his style isn't really the same as the structured lessons he needed to learn the basics). That's some great progress he made from how he was in the beginning. Most of the other Jaunes had training for far longer than him, and yet Canon Jaune is still alive and kicking.

BlackPhantom247: Well, maybe, but it's not like it's gonna matter in 2 years anyway. Once they turn 4, their memories go as they "Cross Over". Keep in mind that I'm still using Baby Geniuses as a guide for the Arc babies' current intelligence. They are smart enough to recognize and act on most of their feelings, but once they cross over it'll all mostly be gone. They'll retain some basic feelings (if not specific memories), but it'll be far less than what they had before. In either case, in this chapter Alice mostly loses her attitude anyway so it's all good in the end.

anhvuong2709: I've already got a chapter for SAO Abridged, way funnier and much more interesting in my opinion. Hope that's ok, sorry but I could never get into the original anime.

Man, a lot of you guys loved the last chapter. Hope you like the finale of "Door to Heaven" even more! Now, I've changed a few more things here and there (more of the Butterfly Effect), so I hope you guys enjoy.

Disclaimer in the prologue.

At the pyramid, Ra watches through the skylight of his ship as he sees a group of people approaching. "The caravan is approaching."

"Looks like they were expected." Raven says with a nod. "Perfect. That'll allow the rebels an easier time to access the Stargate."

Sienna, Ilia, Blake, and Eve nodded, knowing that tactics like these worked out well for the White Fang in the past.

He turns his head to his head guard, "Send the bomb down to the Stargate."

The guard bows and turns to lightly glare at two Eagle guards who are standing next to the nuke. "Go, I will be with you shortly."

The two nod before taking the bomb, heading towards the ring platform in quick order.

The scene shifts to show the ring platform depositing the guards in the gate room. The one behind moves his 'head' as he speaks to the other. "We must hurry, the caravan should be arriving now." They then carry the device over to the Stargate and set it down in front of it.

Outside, the caravan had indeed arrived, stopping in front of the bottom of the ramp. A hooded Skaara is looking warily at the two Eagle guards standing in front of the entrance.

Roman grimaced, "That could be a problem, there's already 2 guards inside."

The caravan then splits into two groups. Skaara and his half stay by the animals as the other group struggles to carry the heavy 'offering' up the steps. ("And now they split up, can't see this going wrong.")

In the second group, the audience sees Shau'ri and Jaune exchange a look as they carry the offering up the steps. As they pass, one of guards gets suspicious and follows them inside.

"Well, that can't be good." Peridot mutters, but her twin shrugs and says to her, "Can't be that bad, they got some of the enemies' weapons at least."

Below the ramp, Flynt and Woods who are almost completely covered in cloth see the guard follow the other group with some kind of order, and they began to worry.

Woods licks his lips, "What's happening up there?"

Flynt shakes his head, and secretly motions the others to calm down, "I don't know, but I don't like it." He narrows his eyes and turns to him, "Get ready, we may need to head inside quick."

Inside, the guard escorts the group inside as the first two guards exit the gate room.

One of the 'gate guards stops the group and turns to the escort. "What is the meaning of this?"

The third guard, the 'eyes' on his helmet turning red, says, "There may be some of the heretics with them."

As two of the guards level their weapons at the group who bow their heads in 'fear', the third one goes and proceeds to yank the hood off one of the groups' head. He sees it's simply a young native man and moves on.

"Uh oh." Penny gulps as she sees what they're doing.

Winter bites her bottom lip and looks at the group with worry as she notices something. "This isn't good, the group doesn't seem to have the enemy's weapons with them."

That got a few to pale as they saw that too.

The other guards start to do the same, pulling the hoods off of people one by one. Only revealing more native youths, but it was only a matter of time.

A guard turns to one of the last workers, and yanks off the hood, revealing a smirking Jaune who was quickly raises his rifle and smirks at the guard. "Sup?" He cocks his gun right at an exposed segment of the surprised guard's armor in the stomach area, "Eh?" He winks just before unloading his rifle at the guard, killing him. (Coco: "Holy shit!")

On the other side, Adrian backs away from the other guards, keeping Shau'ri behind him as he shoots with his pistol at the helmet's 'neck' area, causing the thing to spark violently as the guard backs up with a shout as he tries to see past the sparks.

The last guard fires at them, and one of the boys is hit and falls hard on the ground dead.

"Fuck!" Yang gasps as the boy falls, and again as she sees the remaining guard outside rushes inside. "Crap, they're trapped!"

The second group of the caravan looked at the entrance to the pyramid, hearing shots go off as the firefight began.

Flynt took off his hood, "Damn it! C'mon, Woods!"

Flynt, Woods, and the rebels pull out their weapons and some helmets and ran to join the others.

Back inside, the firefight rages on. Some of the group are now behind the overturned cart, using the bags and heavy logs as cover. One of the boys was using one of the staff weapons to fire at one of the guards, and manages to land a hit on him in the chest.

Adrian pulls Shau'ri with him to cover behind a pillar as he keeps firing at the last guard still alive in the room.

Jaune takes cover behind a column as he holds another stolen staff weapon, before seeing the final guard enter the pyramid and aiming at the caravan. "Look out!"

The guard fires, aiming at the boy with his god's weapon. The blast hits the boy in the back and instantly kills him, while the force of the blast knocks the others away as the body smashes through their makeshift cover.

"Damn!" Blake mutters as she sees the group was now technically surrounded.

Shau'ri yells something to Adrian while holding her own pistol, ready to fire.

Outside, as the group was running up the ramp, a stone door begins to slide down the entrance, working to seal the pyramid shut. The group ups their pace in order to get there before it closes.

Flynt pants as races up, holding the last stolen staff weapon in his hands. "Hurry, before that door closes!"

Inside, the guard that just entered the building hears the commotion outside, and turns around and fires his staff weapon at the entrance's floor, the force from the blast as it smashed into the rock pushed everyone back while the door closes on them.

Many of the heroes started cursing out the guard.

Ruby rubbed her hands in worry. "Not good, now there's no backup and their running out of people to fight with."

Weiss licks her dry lips, "But at least there's only two of the guards left. They should be able to succeed with the numbers and weapons they currently have."

Inside, Jaune sees the door close, trapping them inside. Furious, he leans away from cover a bit and shoots the guard who fired at the doorway, smashing into his back and killing him.

Outside, Ra's two death gliders flies out of the ship.

Below, everyone shakily gets to their feet.

Flynt helps a stunned Skaara up. "You okay? You all right?"

One of the boys sees the death gliders, and points at them while shouting out a warning. They scatter to the outer columns of the entrance for the little protection they offered as the gliders began firing at their position.

Inside, Jaune hears the death glider fire and feels the ground shaking from the impacts.

Jaune turns to Adrian at the other pillar, "Let's go! Tell the others to cover us!"

Adrian does so, by telling the group who took cover behind some pillars to aim at the last guard's stomach area to kill him, and grabs the staff weapon on the way towards the doorway with Shau'ri.

James hums as he rubs his chin, "Well at least he told them where to aim in order to kill him. And their cover should allow them to carry it out with little loses on their side. If they concentrate their fire."

Whitley frowns, "But why take the only weapon capable of quickly eliminating the guard when his uncle already has one?"

James didn't really have an answer to that, and frowns in worry. 'I hope his decision doesn't come back to bite them in the ass.'

In the upper level, Ra lounges at a table, playing a game with one of his entourage. The child though, is distracted by the sounds of battle, and continuously glances outside.

Outside, the group is still huddled in front of the sealed doorway. The death gliders continue to strafe the area, but Flynt seemed to notice something from the continuous barrage.

Woods is spitting some sand that got in his mouth, "We're dead!"

Flynt narrows his eyes, "Not yet we're not!"

Woods looks to Flynt with anger, "Well, what are we gonna do?!"

Flynt takes a moment as he sees the gliders begin to veer off, before looking at the abandoned caravan. "Cover me!" He then starts running down the ramp. (Vernal: "Cover him?! How's he meant to do that?!")

Woods looks at Flynt as he starts to run. "Cover you?! Flynt Coal, you son of a bitch!"

Flynt just continues to run. Cursing him out, Woods follows him, firing his rifle up at the death gliders as they pass overhead.

"What's he doing?" Weiss looks at Woods as he runs down the ramp. "That is not what he meant by covering him!"

Blake nods, "But it would allow him to find better cover. Right now everyone is stuck in that tiny little entrance." She points to the screen, "Remember how the other group used the caravan as cover? I think Flynt got a similar idea."

Winter nods in approval, then grimaced. "An excellent point, and at least they'll be able to spread out more instead of being clumped together waiting for a single blast to wipe them all out. However, those weapons are much more powerful than the ones the guards used." She shakes her head then. "I'm not sure if this new position would be better than staying at the entrance."

After a moment, Skaara follows them while also firing his rifle. The other boys get the same idea and do the same, but only a few at a time.

Flynt reaches the carts and starts looking through one of them. He noticed Woods stopping next to him, and finds what he's looking for. "I got it!" He turns to Woods and starts pushing the cart over. "Come on, help me push this thing over!"

"What'd he find?" Odin blinks as he scratches his head in worry.

Frigga shrugs, "I'm not really sure." She prayed though that it was something they could use to bring those fighters down.

Woods nods, and he helps Flynt. The two were quickly joined by the other rebels, who start doing the same, arranging the various carts into a makeshift foxhole.

Back in Ra's room, most of the entourage is now actively watching the battle from the skylight, seeing as the gliders make another strafing run at the heretics who had dared to defy their god.

The child playing with Ra keeps looking to the window, which he finally noticed. Enraged, Ra scatters the game pieces, scowling at the startled child.

Ra then turns to his head guard with a scowl. "Send the bomb through now!"

The guard nods with a look of determination, "I will send the bomb myself!" He then turns toward the ring platform.

In the gate room, Jaune was the first one to make it inside as he ran down the ramp leading into the room, and finds the bomb in front of the Stargate. He puts the staff weapon aside and starts to tinker with the device.

"Wait what's he doing?" Nora mutters to herself. 'It looks like he's arming the bomb. But that's just stupid, what about the team outside with the other group?'

Just then Adrian and Shau'ri enters. As Adrian goes to his uncle, Shau'ri decides to stand guard near the entrance with her pistol trained on the hallway.

*Sniff* "Such a caring daughter-in-law." Saph couldn't help but sniffle a bit as she noticed that Shau'ri's body was covering her son. "I cannot wait for you two to meet up. She's obviously a good match."

Adrian blushes again, and hits her mom's lap with his cup. "Stop it, stop it, stop it!"

Alice was hissing angrily at Saph's words, hating the woman onscreen even more.

He sees his uncle tinkering with the thing, and blinks. "What are you doing?"

Jaune narrows his eyes as he finishes his work. "What do you think? Completing this mission."

"WHAT?!" Several of the students, and all of the children, yelled. They couldn't understand what was going through Jaune's head to make him think this was a good idea.

Adrian looked shocked, and points toward the Stargate. "I thought we agreed to dismantle the 'gate on the other side?"

Jaune turns to him and nods. "And you will. That's your job now." He glanced up at the ceiling. "I'm gonna stay here, make sure this goes off right under that fucker's ass. Give him a radioactive enema."

He looks back at Adrian with a determined glare, causing his nephew to flinch back from the look. "I've been thinking a lot about this, Adrian. Our weapons would take far too long to take down a single soldier whilst theirs can one-shot us, meaning our body armor's completely worthless; and who knows how many more ships and planets that bastard's got?"

Jaune shakes his head with a sigh, and looks at Adrian in sadness. "You said that he traveled the stars looking for a way to cheat death. Did it ever occur to you that maybe that prick found other habitable worlds for him to put Human and Faunus slaves to work? Can you tell me where this ship came from?" He briefly points up where the spaceship was parked over their heads. "Because it sure as hell didn't spawn here. You said his species was becoming extinct, not that they were extinct."

With each point he made, many of his friends flinched and began muttering to themselves. But when Jaune finished revealing his worst fear, everyone paled.

"P-Penny?" Ruby asks, "H-How many 'gate address did you say there were again?"

A pale Penny gulped. "1,987,690,320 possible combinations." She squeaked out her answer.

Yang shakily ran her hand through her hair. "We're so fucked, aren't we?"

Adrian kneels next to him, and places a hand on his shoulder, "So what would this accomplish?"

Jaune shrugs back with a small smile, "Well, he is the only one who saw us. Blow him up, and no one else would know about Remnant. Plus, if he's really 'Ra', then he's gotta be one of the leaders of his 'pantheon' right?" Adrian nods, and Jaune's smile turns into a vicious grin. "Well, how much you want to bet that after his death, his possible underlings would start fighting each other for dominance?"

Everyone blinked.

"Holy shit, he's right." Mercury says. "Ra and his ever shrinking number of guards are the only ones who know of our existence. If he's dead, and assuming he didn't contact anyone else, we should be safe."

Ozpin and James looked at each other.

"Well," Oz starts, "it would make sure our existence is kept a secret."

James nods, "And it would allow us to make use of the technology already taken from the guards." He leans back in his chair, "It would be a massive boon if we can discover how to use the mineral of that world."

While the students weren't thrilled about Jaune sacrificing himself, they couldn't really deny the benefits either. 'A Huntsman does whatever it takes to protect the innocent, even if it means the ultimate sacrifice.' More than a few thought with sad frowns.

Cinder frowns. 'While it is a good idea, no, brilliant really, that still leaves the fact that he's going to sacrifice himself.' Thoughts of the picture of her perfect daughter made themselves known, and she scowls a bit. 'That is unacceptable.'

Adrian looks on sadly as Jaune turns and finishes arming the bomb.

Jaune turns to his nephew with another small smile, "You've got seven minutes."

Adrian nods and stands back up with his staff weapon on hand, and many in the audience salutes Jaune.

"Adrian!"

A sudden cry from Shau'ri forced the two Arcs to looks to her, just as a guard enters the room. She aims at the stomach, but the guard shoots first. Shau'ri falls to the ground with a shout of pain.

Everyone felt a blow in their stomachs as they watch the young woman die.

"No." Terra whispers.

"Shau'ri!" Adrian shouts as he watches her body fall in horror. He then snarls at the guard and aims his weapon. He shoots the guard several times in the chest, killing him and roasting the man's torso in the process.

Once the guard fell, he rushes over to Shau'ri's body, checking for a pulse. "No." he couldn't feel anything.

Terra and Saphron were lightly crying at seeing the woman's death, and Adrian bows his head while feeling a tear or two threatening to fall.

Alice gulps, and looks down in shame. 'I no wanded dis.' She saw the anguish in the older Adrian's eyes, and couldn't bear to see it anymore. 'I sowwy.' She thought, somewhat blaming herself for the young woman's death. She wanted her to go away, and away she went.

Glynda held her daughter close as she started to sniffle. "Shh, it's alright sweetheart. It's alright."

Some, like James and Qrow, had cursed under their breaths. They knew with the guard showing up, that the rebels charged with covering them were undoubtedly dead as well. "Damnit." A few angrily growled.

Jaune slowly walks over to a grieving Adrian, and places a hand on his shoulder. He and Adrian exchange a look as they bow their heads in silence.

Back in the throne room, the guard walks over to the ring platform and activates the rings to go to the Stargate. 'Soon, my god. Soon these heretics shall feel your divine wrath.'

Many scowled at the guard's thoughts, and themselves for forgetting he was on his way. But a few had a different thought.

In the gate room, the ring device opens a foot or so away from the two. Seeing the ring device opening, Adrian gets a spontaneous idea. He picks Shau'ri up in his arms and swiftly carries her to the platform. (Saph: "Wait, what are you doing?!")

Jaune's eyes widen, and he runs over to him just as the rings began surrounding the two. "What are you doing?! Adrian!"

Adrian gives a shaky smile to his horrified uncle. "Doing what you would do." In a more desperate tone he adds, "Wait for me." Then the rings transports them away.

A shocked Jaune glances back at the bomb. "6 minutes, 08 seconds." He turns back to the rings just as a now Jackal-headed guard appeared from the now retracting rings.

The guard immediately shouts and strikes Jaune in the face with his staff weapon, causing the man to smack his head on a nearby pillar. The guard hits him again, this time striking his chest and making him crash into another pillar back first.

With some space between them now, he primes his staff weapon and aims it at the man's stomach, but Jaune quickly grabs the shaft, and redirects it just as the guard opened fire.

Many in the audience paled after they saw the plasma bolt crashing next to the bomb.

Ruby released a deep breath, "That was a close one."

Yang nods as she wipes her forehead, "Yeah, too close. He really should watch it, otherwise he'd risk blowing them all to hell."

In the throne room, the rings just finished depositing the two and rose back up to the ceiling. Adrian hurries passed the room, checking if anyone was nearby before making his way to the sarcophagus chamber. Seeing the device already open, he sighed in relief. "Here's hoping that thing doesn't require manual control."

Adrian and Alice blinked, before they both facepalmed. "O' couse."

Terra marveled at her son's quick thinking, before remembering that her son was in that thing earlier, when he returned to life himself. 'I guess that's what I get for repressing that scene.' She looks around to see many others looking in astonishment as well. "Alright, so how many of you guys forgot that Ra had a resurrecting machine, that heals all wounds?" She wasn't surprised by the amount of hands going up.

He places Shau'ri inside, and gave another sigh of relief as the device automatically starts to close. "Oh thank the Pillars." He watches as the sarcophagus closes around her, before standing guard around the device. "Hope Jaune's alright."

Back in the gate room, Jaune was not alright. The timer is now at 4:14, and Jaune and the guard continued to fight.

Trying to choke him out, Jaune had maneuvered himself behind the guard and forced the staff to press tightly across his chest.

Growling at the heathen, the guard rams the two of them against the pillar behind them, stunning Jaune for a moment. Just long enough to pry hid weapon from the human's hands.

In desperation, Jaune manages to find and press the button that retracts the helmet. But without the weapon occupying the guard anymore, he is quickly able to elbow Jaune in the kidney, then spins him over his shoulder and slams him to the ground.

Yang goes into a boxing pose while still sitting. "Come on, get up Jaune! A kidney shot is nothing! Kick his ass!" She then punches the air a bit, as if she was beating up the guard herself.

The other students also began cheering him on.

Nora raises a fist, "Break his legs!"

The guard tries to aim at Jaune again, but Jaune pushes the staff away and sweeps his knees, taking the guard down. (Nora: "Close enough!")

Seeing the guard quickly trying to stand back up, Jaune takes the staff and goes to strike the guard's stomach with the butt end.

But the guard saw the attack coming and just manages to grab the shaft before it made contact, and the two struggle a bit for control of the weapon. The guard was able to fully stop the momentum however, and with a slightly sadistic smile aimed at Jaune, breaks the thing in half.

Outside, the death gliders continue to fire on the group.

By this point, most of the group had arrived at the makeshift foxhole, and were shooting at the gliders. Flynt was seen fiddling with the weird rifle, asking for cover as he tried to turn the damn thing on. "Fucking sand everywhere!"

"What the hell is he doing?" Emerald asks as she sees the man trying to make the rifle work. "Forget about the damn thing and grab a working gun!"

On top of the ramp, only a few people remained, and all but one chanced it and ran towards the cover the rest had set up down below.

Only Nabeh stayed behind at the doorway, clutching his gun tightly to his chest as he sees his friends running towards the foxhole. The death gliders had veered off while this was happening.

Down the ramp, the group had managed to make it to the foxhole, where Skaara and another helps them over the barricade.

Seeing the others making it, Nabeh runs after them.

Skaara sees his friend running towards them, and hears the gliders coming again. He waves his friend on, "Nabeh! Hurry!"

One of the death gliders fires at the ramp again.

"Oh no." A few of the children muttered as the plasma bots smash the rock around the boy.

Nabeh throws his gun to the side with a scream as the plasma blasts erupt on the ground around him. Just then, a plasma bots crashes in front of him, and he disappears in a plume of smoke, sand, and rock. A second later, the military helmet that he was wearing rolls out of the smoke and stops at the bottom of the ramp.

Some of the students flinched, seeing he was so close.

Skaara screams "Nabeh!" while trying to get out of cover and to his fallen friend, but Woods holds him back as he struggles to go to where Nabeh's body was.

Inside the throne room, Ra slowly moves to the window to look at the battle for himself.

Back at the foxhole, Flynt finally manages to get the gun working and quickly aims at one of the gliders. "Take this, you bastards!" He squeezes the trigger, and a low humming was heard over the explosions around them by a few of the boys. The gun's muzzle starts to glow, and as the gliders start to veer off again, he lets go of the trigger.

The gun immediately fires, puncturing the glider's left wing and punching through the other side with a slightly wider exit hole. The glider starts to expel smoke from the damaged area, and the pilot yells as his controls begin to malfunction. He sees his glider about to hit a dune, and he tries and barely succeeds in getting the glider to go up and over the dune.

"Holy shit!" Mercury states as he sees the pilot managing to somewhat steady the glider after the near crash.

A few others though cheered.

Penny blinked, then smacks her forehead. "Of course, it's a railgun! No wonder he was so desperate in trying to find that weapon." (1)

Ruby drooled as she looked at the weapon. "It's so cool." She grins. "My baby needs to have that power! Imagine all the more powerful Grimm I could kill!"

James's and Winter's eyes gleamed as they saw the power behind that weapon. 'I wonder if the weapon can go through the bone armor of a Megoliath.' The teachers from Vale thought the same for the Goliaths.

The villains though were hoping that the gun was simply a new prototype, rather than an old one, and that the Arcs hadn't already mass-produced the design.

Flynt then turns and aims at the other glider, who was now barreling towards their position. He pulls and releases the trigger, and the now revealed railgun fires again. This time, it hits the glider's right wing, with similar results. The pilot veers off, trying to make sure he doesn't crash as well.

The rebels pause in their shooting to cheer as the gliders billow smoke. (Sienna: "Well, they may not be dead yet, but it's a start.")

Woods sees this after calming Skaara down, and shouts at the boys. "What are you standing around for?! Shoot them down!" He then aims his gun at the gliders and shoots, prompting the others to do the same.

The gliders slowly swoop to another attack position, damaged and a bit more hesitant now, and fires. Some of the shots hit the makeshift barricade, and a few boys are thrown back from the impact.

Flynt tries to aim the gun again, but one of the blasts landed in front of him. While he was ok, aside from some minor burns, the gun was closer to the impact zone and the heat from the blast had warped the barrel, making it useless. "Motherfucking son of a bitch!"

"Fuck!" Yang growls as she sees the damage.

Ruby sucked a breath, "That thing's toast."

A few of the children cursed at the glider's lucky shot.

With a grunt of pain, he reaches for another gun, but he quickly realizes that it's empty after trying to fire and only hearing clicks. Next to him, Skaara struggles with his own weapon to make it fire.

Flynt tries to find extra ammo on his person, while glancing at Woods, "You got any extra rounds there, Woods?!"

Woods glared at him, "We're all out of ammo! And why did you stop firing the only thing that could bring those bastards down?!"

Flynt tosses the useless railgun at him. "That's because it's dead!" "Fuck!" He looks up, and sees the gliders make another pass. "Incoming!" He grabs Skaara and covers him with his body as one glider flies overhead and several boys are hit by the latest blasts.

Back in the throne room, Ra scowls as he sees the damaged state his gliders were in. This was just more proof that their world was too dangerous to continue living.

Coco flips him off, "And a happy 'fuck you' to you too, asshole. Don't mess with Remnant!"

In the gate room, Jaune in on the ground reaching out for Shau'ri's discarded weapon on the floor. He grabs it and turns to aim at the guard.

The guard sees this, and kicks his arm away before he can fire. He then uses his bejeweled claw hand to slash Jaune's back.

Jaune cries out in pain, but pushes through and stands up.

The children flinched when they saw the slash marks and blood flowing down his back.

A few students growled as they cheered Jaune on to kick the guard's ass.

The guard then grabs him by the arm and backhands him, but Jaune powers through and ducks under a left hook whilst delivering a powerful blow to the guard's unprotected kidney. This was followed up by a swift jab to the face, causing the man to fall back stunned.

Yang and Nora cheered him on, "Yeah, go Jaune!" "Go Fearless Leader, break his nose!"

Seeing the space afforded to him, Jaune looks back to the bomb, only to widen his eyes as he sees timer at 3:17. (Raven: "Shit, completely forgot about the bomb!")

Jaune cursed before running over to stop it, but the guard sees this and runs after him. Just as his fingers brushed on the device, the guard managed to grab a fistful of his shirt and pull him back.

Growling, Jaune turns around and throws a right hook, but the guard blocked it with his forearm, and nails him with a left uppercut, pushing Jaune away as he falls on his back.

Robin jumped on her seat and shakes a fist at the screen. "Come on dad, he's just a punk! Sweep the legs again, dad, sweep the legs!"

Jaune shakes his head from the blow, and realized that he's actually closer to the bomb than before. He desperately reaches for the timer, but the guard grabs his arm and pulls it back.

Outside in the foxhole, Woods tends to the wounded as the others huddle in their makeshift bunker, unable to return fire anymore. (Neo: "Not good!")

Woods looks to Flynt, and shakes his head. "Flynt, we've gotta do something."

Flynt licks his lips, and curses in frustration. "Damn it." He then moves over to the barricade, and goes over their cover.

"What the hell is he doing?!" Maria shouts in worry as she sees the young man going over their cover as the death gliders came around for another pass.

Skaara sees this and tries to pull him back, shaking his head as he was pulled back by Woods. "Na-ney! Na-ney na-ney!"

Flynt steps out of the bunker, waving his arms up at the death gliders. "Hey! Stop, hey! We surrender!"

"WHAT?!" Sienna and Eve shout in anger.

Eve continues with a growl, "How can that human think that surrendering is a good idea. They should continue the fight!"

While Ilia and Sienna nodded in agreement, Ghira shakes his head. "No, at this point he's right." The three turned to glare at him, but the giant of a Faunus glares back. "Their cover has whittled away, they have a lot of wounded, they are out of ammunition, and the only chance they had in destroying those fighters has been rendered useless."

For each point he made, the three flinched back. Try as they might, none of them could think of a way where the rebels could win now.

Kali nods as she hugs her husband's arm close to calm him down, "It's over."

Skaara continues to struggle against Woods, shouting in his language desperately to convince the man to come back.

Flynt waves his arms again, "We surrender!"

The death gliders pass overhead, but did not fire.

Back in the throne room, as Adrian watches, the sarcophagus finally opens up. He takes a breath to calm his nerves, watching expectantly.

The screen moves closer to Shau'ri, and while not appearing conscious, the audience could see can see her neck expanding with each breath she took.

Saph sighs, "At least she's alive again. I'd rather not have my daughter-in-law die on an alien spaceship."

Adrian and Alice sighed, happy to see that Shau'ri was alive again.

He saw her breathing, and that was good enough for him. Adrian carefully grabs her, and hurriedly carries her back to the rings.

Back outside, the death gliders had already landed on a dune some distance away, and their pilots were now walking towards the group with their staff weapons aimed at them.

Flynt stands with his hands raised in surrender, and Woods joins him with a scowl.

Skaara shakes his head in anger, and scolds his friends who begin to follow the two. (Ghira: "Let it go, young man. It's over.")

Back in the ship, Ra watches the surrender with a satisfied smirk, but then he blinks as he hears footsteps behind him. He turns around and just spots Adrian passing by carrying Shau'ri. (Terra: "Well shit.")

Adrian reaches the rings platform, sighing in relief that they were almost free.

Yang paled, "You know, I just realized something." Ruby and a few others look at her as she gulped. "How is he going to activate those rings?"

Several in the audience opened their mouths to answer, a few of the villains with some insults thrown in, before they all stopped to think about it. Their eyes widened when they realized that they didn't know.

Emerald cursed, "Fuck. The bimbo is right.-" "EXCUSE ME!" "-We always saw that head guard activating those rings. We never saw any other control system nearby that allows others to use them, did we?"

Many, including a fuming Yang, shook their heads, realizing that those two were effectively trapped there.

Adrian paled. "Uh oh."

He sets Shau'ri down gently within the circle. "Don't worry, we're almost home." Adrian whispers to her, as if she could hear him.

Ra took that moment to show up, grabbing Adrian's shoulder and forcibly turned him around to face his god. "I am no longer amused."

Ra then grabs his head and activates his ribbon device, grinning as his eyes glowed in malevolent glee.

Terra gasps, "Adrian, no!"

Saph shouts in anger, "You take your hands off my baby, you bastard!"

Several others gasped in worry, remembering what that device did to kill that one guard.

Adrian grabbed Ra's arm with his left hand, trying to get him to let go as the device did its thing.

In the gate room, the guard tosses Jaune through the air and smack into a wall.

Once he stops sliding to the ground, Jaune spits some blood out of his mouth, and spots the timer at 2:12.

With a scowl, he returns to the fight with a vengeance. Blocking a blow to his temple, Jaune knees the guard in the side, then punches him in the stomach. As the guard falls back, Jaune presses his advantage, punching the guard several times in the face followed by a punch to the stomach, before going back to the face.

Yang and Robin cheered Jaune on. "That's it Jaune/Dad! No mercy! Bring that fucker down!" They didn't even notice what the other was saying, or that they both stood up to copy his moves.

Back in the throne room, Ra watches with glee as Adrian's head began to twitch violently, indicating it would not be long before his brain becomes scrambled. Ra's eyes glowed again, and he smirks. "You two will die together." (Saph: "I will fucking murder you!")

As Adrian is helpless under the device, Shau'ri begins to stir.

In the gate room, Jaune continues to punch the guard in the face, before tripping his leg up and knocking him to the floor under the rings.

The two continue to cheer, knowing that Jaune had won with the guard now being pinned.

Jaune holds one hand down with his knee, and grasps the guard's other hand. Noticing the ring activation jewel amongst the bejeweled claw, he turns to the struggling guard with a vindictive smirk. "Give my regards to King Malik, asshole!" (2)

He then slams the guard's hand down, the impact activating the device.

The rings activate, and as the light shines down on him, the guard looks up with fear. The audience sees that his head and part of his chest are just within the rings' light.

"Holy shit, that's brutal!" Mercury comments with a slight shiver.

Tyrian cackles as he sees what's going to happen.

Cinder even smirked as she does a little wave to the guard. "I do hope you enjoy your trip."

The guard shakes his head and tries to get the human off him as the rings come down, but it was no use, he was pinned. "Na-ney! Na-ney!" Just then, the first ring landed on his chest with a crunch, the man screaming in pain as his ribcage broke.

Jaune meanwhile, leans away from the rings to safety. He knows the rings will keep him in place, so he decided that pinning down was no longer needed. (Roman: "Wait, if the rings are now active, doesn't that mean-?")

Back in the throne room, the rings begin to activate.

Ra looks up at the activation, and became distracted as the light beamed down at him. He even instinctively leaned away from the light.

Adrian, seeing the opportunity, shoves the ribbon device away from him while yanking Akila's necklace that was dangling off Ra's neck with his right hand. He pulls back just as the rings surround him and Shau'ri.

Terra and Saph cheered at the save.

Nora grinned, "He even saved the necklace Akila gave him! Man, that thing really is lucky!"

Cutting back to the gate room a bit, the guard's head disappears, and Jaune sees the body's muscles stiffen for a bit, before they relax in death.

Yang sighs in relief as he wipes her forehead. "Man, talk about cutting it close."

Her teammates scowled at her for the awful timing, but Yang frowned and shook her head at them. "Hey, that wasn't a pun, I'm being serious! That was really close!"

In the throne room, Adrian and Shau'ri disappeared on the other end before Ra's eyes. Ra screams in frustration as the humans escaped. Then the rings deactivate and goes back to the ceiling, leaving the guard's head in Adrian and Shau'ri's place.

Tyrian laughs, "Holy crap! That's better than leaving a flaming paper bag of dogshit on a person's porch!" He claps for the 'prank' Jaune left the so-called god with.

Ra stares at the head and growls, backing away as he trembles with rage.

In the gate room, Jaune is seen taking a much needed breather as he watches Adrian and Shau'ri appear in front of him. He notices that the two of them are only semi-conscious, and sighs in relief. "Well, look who decided to drop in."

Adrian groans at the pun. "Why?"

Yang and Tai laughed. "See, now that was good timing!" The former points out to her groaning friends. "Oh screw you guys, that was funny!"

Jaune turns around and sees the timer is down to 1:53. He sighs again before heading to the bomb. "Fucking finally, I'm gonna need a stiff drink after this." He reaches over and hits the kill switch to deactivate it. He starts to turn away, before noticing the timer was still counting down. (Weiss: "Wait, shouldn't it deactivate now?")

Pausing a bit, he then pulls out the timer. The countdown still continues, down to 1:33 now. Now desperate, he starts pulling at the device.

"What the hell?" "Oh what now?" Nora and Velvet groaned as everyone paled seeing the timer still going down.

Penny clenched a fist in frustration, "They rigged the bomb!"

Outside, a frustrated Skaara tosses his gun to the ground and joins the others as they all kneel before the pilots.

A few had forgotten about the surrender, and were cursing themselves for it.

Ilia took a deep breath. She, like many others, knew what was likely to come next. 'They were so close too.' She thought bitterly.

The guards prime their staff weapons, making the prisoners jump. However, before the guards could gun the rebels down, they heard a shout coming from behind them.

There, standing on top of a dune overlooking the area, was Kasuf shouting a few orders. He then waves his staff over his head, and across the horizon, thousands of workers appear, shouting and trilling at the guards.

Seeing this, many in the audience gasped in wonder.

The White Fang members only cheered.

The guards look around to see they were surrounded. Seeing their death gliders parked so far away made them regret not landing closer.

In the throne room, Ra looks out to see his slaves now in open revolt. He scowls at the scene before him.

Kasuf thrusts his cane forward. "Charge!" He then runs down the dune, his people following with a cheer.

The Faunus cheered louder as they saw the native people rebelling against Ra's rule.

"GO! GO!" Sienna cheered as she pumped her fist with a grin.

Both Blakes laughed, wishing they were there to help the natives there. A feeling that many of the heroes felt.

The prisoners quickly stand, confused, but then starting to cheer as they saw their people running towards the guards.

The guards, seeing the slaves heading towards them, opens fire at the natives with screams of anger. A few people fell from each blast, but there were too many.

Kasuf was soon overtaken by some of the younger workers. "Do not fear them! Forward!"

Skaara climbs up and stands on top of the makeshift bunker, taking it all in as he sees his father raising his staff against the guards.

The people soon surrounded the guards, who were now using their weapons as actual staffs to keep the people at bay. One of them screams "Get back!" while whacking a few of them away.

The other guard barely misses one of the workers, and yells "You dare defy your god?!"

They held them off for a few moments, but it was ultimately useless. Soon they were overpowered and dragged to the sands underneath, their bodies obscured by the bodies surrounding them.

In the throne room, Ra sees his rebellious slaves defeat his guards and walks away with a derisive sniff.

Many in the audience were now mocking Ra. Saph and Terra cheered the people on as Raven and Vernal gave each other a discreet high-five.

The Faunus especially were having a ball with it.

"Hahaha! Oh what's wrong, Ra? Feeling a little sad that your slaves have had enough of your shit?" Ilia asks with a fake concerned tone, then grins. "Well serves you right, you fuck!"

Back down below, Skaara watches in awe as his people raise the bodies of the guards above their heads. 'It is just as depicted in the caves. Nabeh,' He looks up a bit in silent prayer, 'we did it my friend. I only wish you could have seen it.' He then nods and raises his arms in victory. (Weiss: "He really was so close to seeing it through.")

Inside the ship, next to the sarcophagus, Ra presses what looks to be a large button which activated a control system. A few pieces start to move, and he looks up to see the skylights closing.

Outside, the cheering crowd stops as they hear something happening with the ship. They all turn around to see the ship closing up and begin to rise from the stone pyramid.

"Wait, what?" Nora blinked. "Is that where the ship's controls were?"

Skaara and his friends walks slowly passed the crowd to get a better look.

Flynt and Woods glared at the ship, wishing they could go over there and put a bullet in Ra's head.

"Oh, crap." Neo says.

Roman looked at the screen with worry. "That's not good."

Both Blakes glared at the two, and Chibi-Blake asks, "What? He's leaving, that's good."

Neo glares back, and Roman sighed while looking up. "Did you all forget that he knows where Remnant is? He found our world once, I doubt he forgot where to find us again."

Many thought about it, and paled.

Amber groaned, "Auntie Neo's right. He was already set to blow us to hell with that nuke. And now he lost another world to an uprising thanks to us. He'd be more pissed than ever, and I doubt that his ship doesn't have weapons onboard."

Terra licked her suddenly dry lips, "And we don't have a ship capable of reaching passed the atmosphere to fight him." So worried were they at the thought of an alien invasion, that almost no one noticed Saph, Robin, and Altani coughing into their fists.

Raven and Sienna noticed, but decided to question them later.

Inside the gate room, Adrian shakily heads over to Jaune as the room vibrates from the ship leaving. He sees Jaune struggling with the bomb, and asks "How much time do we have left?"

Jaune grinds his teeth, "About forty-five seconds. Stupid well-manufactured bomb." (Ruby: "Oh no, hurry!")

Another vibration shakes the room, and some dust falls from the ceiling. Adrian stumbles a bit and points up. "He's leaving, turn it off!"

Jaune growls out, "You think I don't know that?! I'm trying, I can't disarm it!"

Adrian looks incredulous. "What?!"

"I can't stop it, the bastards have got it rigged!" Jaune curses before he leans back in defeat. "38 seconds now."

Shau'ri took that moment to wake up, and quickly backs away from the corpse of the headless guard.

Raven chuckles a bit in morbid humor, "Well, that's one sure way to shake the drowsiness away." She didn't want to think about the revelation made by the walking ice cream cone and the wannabe pimp, nor the fact that her baby girl's father was less than a minute from blowing up.

Jaune and Adrian then felt the next shake was less apparent than the last. As the bomb ticks away, they heard Shau'ri scrambling away from the corpse and turned to her. Their eyes widen and they look back to each other, then over to where Shau'ri is moving away from the ring platform and back to each other again.

"I've got an idea." The two say at the same time with matching grins.

"I hope their plan works, otherwise they're all fucked." Maria says.

More than a few crossed their fingers and hoped for the same.

The view switches to show a view of the upper atmosphere of Abydos, where Ra's ship is stationed in orbit over the planet.

Inside the throne room, the ring platform activates. Hearing the activation, Ra, angered beyond belief, moves to the platform to see what had arrived. (Mercury: "Oh shit, I think I know what their plan is.")

A quick view outside the ship shows an energy beam shooting up from the planet towards the craft.

Back inside, the light from the rings recedes to reveal the bomb, the counter down to 6 seconds.

Ilia grinned and pumped her fist, "Checkmate motherfucker!"

Ra's eyes glows as he sees the device, the light encompassing his entire face as his anger reaches new heights.

The bomb counts down to zero, and the screen moves back to the atmosphere just as Ra's ship explodes in a brilliant blue light.

Inside, Ra screams as the blast incinerates his body. Back out in space, the blue light slowly recedes to show a massive blast wave expanding over the planet's upper atmosphere.

On the surface, Adrian, Shau'ri, and Jaune had just left the pyramid to join the others outside when the explosion happened. They all turned to watch in awe as a brilliant star temporarily forms over their heads.

The audience could only be mesmerized by the pretty light. A few even took a few pictures while they could.

Everyone stood in shock, before they began to cheer as they realized what the light likely was.

The audience also cheered. From the heroes to the villains, they all rejoiced in the death of the fake god.

Skaara heads up the ramp along with his surviving friends and Woods & Flynt, all looking at Jaune. As Adrian and Shau'ri watched, Skaara and the boys give a salute.

Winter and James salute as well with smile smiles, before going back to celebrating.

Amused, Flynt and Woods salute as well.

Jaune smiles and returns the salute with a nod of pride. Skaara and his friends smiled back as their chests puff out a bit.

As he lowers his hand, prompting the others to do the same, Jaune looks over to see Shau'ri and Adrian kiss. He smirks, "Can't wait to tell Saph about this."

Terra and Saph squealed at the adorable moment, taking pictures of this.

Adrian blushed again at his mothers' actions, and groaned as he facepalmed. Alice, while still not happy about this, was at least glad that everyone important to her had made it.

Kasuf raises his hands, and the crowd slowly quiets. He pumps a fist to the sky and shouts "We are free!" The crowd cheers again, many repeating the word "Free!"

The audience calms down a bit, but many of the Faunus copied Kasuf's action.

Days passed, and the audience sees the Stargate active. What surprised everyone though, was the fact the 'gate was now located outside the pyramid on a makeshift pedestal overlooking the city.

Another thing were the people passing through the Stargate carrying containers and weapons.

"What the hell?" Robin frowns as she sees Arcadian troops marching along. "Why are there more of our people passing through the Stargate?"

No one had an answer, well, almost no one.

Whitley was humming in thought, then he snaps his fingers. "The quartz deposits!"

Everyone turns to him, and he blushes a bit. Willow gives an encouraging smile, and he takes a deep breath. "Remember when we saw the large mining operation, where it was discovered that the mineral they were mining was the same as the Stargate?"

Many nodded in agreement, honestly forgetting about that before, and Whitley continued. "Well, if the mineral was that clearly abundant, it was above ground after all, then surely there are more deposits scattered around the planet." He frowns as he thought of the dead 'god'. "Mr. Adrian said that the element was the building block to all of Ra's technology. It makes all the sense in the world why he'd set up his operation in a world that looks mostly desert."

He looks back to the screen with some awe, "It's abundant there. And with how conductive the mineral is, we can easily use it to power all of our machines."

Everyone dropped their jaws in disbelief as he concludes his theory. "With that mineral, a whole new market in power generation is now possible."

Robin and Altani looked in wonder. 'A new Space Age would be within our grasp.' (3)

Just to prove his point, 2 Puma Class LRV's and several Lynx Class LCV's and LSV's slowly drove through the active wormhole with a soldier directing them where to park. (4)(5)(6)

"Ok, first off, awesome cars!" Yang says with a grin as she sees the vehicles, while Ruby & Coco drooled at the mounted chain gun on the larger one. "Second, what the hell are those?"

Jack cleared his throat and looked at his tablet. "The larger one with the gun attached is a Puma Class Light Reconnaissance Vehicle; and the smaller ones are Lynx Class 'Light Cargo' & 'Light Sensor' Vehicles. The first is for cargo, while the second is for quickly mapping out an area."

Hearing that, Whitley was more sure than ever that his theory was correct.

Soon after, the Stargate deactivated, and the trunks of the LSV's popped opened. What came out were what looked like floating cameras. (7) (Penny: "Oh my, they look so adorable!")

One of the drones looked to the soldier who was directing the vehicles, and tries to nuzzle her. Her coworkers laughed as she tried to gently get the little guy to go. "Go on now, you got work to do." The drone beeps twice and went back to its friends, where they proceed to quickly fly off in groups of two.

While Penny and now Ruby were too busy gushing over the cute little things, Weiss looked at Jack and asked. "Alright, what were those?"

Jack smiled at the scene, and turned to Weiss, "Those are called Puppy Droids,-" "Holy cats, that's so cute!" "-and they are what allows the LSV to perform its job. They are to explore Abydos for more of the mineral like Whitley said. Each LSV's carries 4 of the little guys."

Penny gushed some more as she clasped her hands. "Oh, how I want one!"

The 'gate activates again, and more vehicles exit the event horizon. This would happen over the course of several days, with the natives looking on in wonder each time. The children especially were quite taken by the Puppy Droids, who when not on duty would just play with the children.

Yang grinned, "Guess that's why they're called Puppy Droids, they act like Zwei did when he was a puppy."

Ruby giggled as Tai chuckled. Zwei barked and wagged his tail as he looked at his humans, remembering the good times they had.

Weiss cooed while holding her Vulpix close as she thought of a baby Zwei.

At night, the 'gate would activate to allow some of the less friendly-looking droids the Arcs have to come through. Several squid-looking machines, for instance, were seen swarming out of the 'gate and heading off in a random direction away from the city.

Not many liked the view of those new machines.

Ilia shuddered, "What were those things? And where are they going?"

This time Robin replied. "Squid Droids. meant for rapid building of infrastructure, repair of larger machines & ships, and surface mining." She shrugged, "My guess is that the Puppy Droids found some deposits and they were sent to mine them." (8)

Roman grimaced, "Well, with how they look, I think getting them through the 'gate at night was a good idea. Those things look like they can rip little ol' me in half."

James and Winter frowned, not understanding why the Arcs would intentionally make a machine that looked incredibly terrifying. (9)

Salem and Cinder were already thinking on how they could use those machines. The various clawed appendages didn't escape their sights, and they wondered what they could do to flesh. 'Would've had an easier time with those guards at least.'

It was a week later when Jaune and his men were allowed to pass through the 'gate.

He and the others are seen walking up towards the temporary platform, all fully geared up in spare armor sets.

He looks behind him, and sees how much had changed since a week prior. He could see tents going up, a particularly large one was built surrounding the death gliders that were left abandoned by Ra, and many Arcadian vehicles driving to the new mineral deposits found nearby. He shakes his head with a smile, just as Skaara and his rebel friends caught up to them.

Skaara smiles, and Jaune goes to shake his hand. "You did good kid." He claps the boy's shoulder in pride, "Damn good."

Skaara didn't understand the words, but he did understand the meaning. He nods and salutes him again.

Meanwhile, Woods and Flynt are talking with Adrian up the pedestal to the now reactivated Stargate.

While they were happy everything was back to normal, what got Saph's and Terra's attention was the fact that Adrian was wearing native robes.

"Wait what's happening?" Terra asks as a small pit forms in her stomach.

Woods claps Adrian in the back with a smile, "I always knew you'd get us back." (Nora: "Liar!")

Adrian laughs and shakes his head, "Yeah, right."

Woods slaps Adrian on the arm and grins, "Later." He then walks through the event horizon.

Next was Flynt, who shakes Adrian's hand with a smile. "Thanks, Adrian." He then follows Woods.

Saph looks sad, "Is he staying behind?" She couldn't think her son staying there was a good idea.

Jaune reaches Adrian, and places a hand on his shoulder. "You sure you want to do this?" (Terra: "Yes, are you sure?")

Adrian nods, "Yes. I'm sure." He smiles, showing his dedication to his decision.

Jaune raises an eyebrow. "You gonna be all right?"

They both look back at Shau'ri, who smiles at Adrian.

Yang smiles, "I think he's gonna be alright, right ladies?" She looks to her teammates, who all smile and nod.

Saph and Terra sighed, but nod as well. They respect his decision, and hugged their baby son close as they wished his older self good luck.

Alice sighed, but smiled. She saw Adrian was happy, and that made her happy.

Adrian smiles back and turns to his uncle. "I'm gonna be all right. Tell them I said hi?"

Jaune considers the question seriously, then grins. "Sure." He and Adrian hugged, and Jaune takes a few steps towards the 'gate and pointing to him. "But you're gonna be the one to tell them about your new marital status." He laughs as Adrian paled. " And you better come visit for Nondescript Winter Holiday, alright?"

Adrian shakes himself from the thought of having that conversation and laughs, but then his eyes widened and he rushes over to him. "Wait." He takes out the Eye of Ra necklace, and gently places it on Jaune's hand. "Tell Akila this brought me luck."

Jaune places the necklace in a pouch and nods. "I will."

He walks to the 'gate and stands framed by the active wormhole, he then turns back to Adrian who was now joined by his wife. "I'll be seeing you around, Doctor Arc."

He steps through the 'gate, and his face disintegrates with the same "whooshing" noise as his molecules shoot through the energy tunnel, the screen once more shifting to show a first person point of view as it moves through the whirling tunnel and quickly heading towards the light. Like before, after reaching it the screen briefly flashes white before turning dark and streaks of white light appear & move from around the screen's edges to start converging, before they move out of the way to show the twisting blue tunnel of energy with tiny dots in the background. The screen moves at a fast pace as it passes by large lights before reaching the final light at the end of the tunnel. Once it did, the screen turned black.

His friends cheered as Jaune stepped through the 'gate, and were once more mesmerized by the travel. Once the screen turned black, the orb floated out, signaling the end of that future.

As Jack took the orb, everyone took a moment to process what they saw. Aliens visited Remnant. Aliens enslaved Remnant. Proof that life existed in the stars.

As a few stretched their muscles, a flash of light erupted next to the prophesy tablet, and a Stargate soon appeared.

Before anyone could do anything else, a portal opened up overhead followed by several large cushions appearing underneath.

Soon, screams were heard as several children and a few adults were dropped through the portal. Once the last person dropped, the portal closed, and everyone stared at the new arrivals.

Three of them were toddlers, no older than 2; a boy looking to be around the older children's age; and three adults, an old man, a younger man, and a young woman. What drew the attention of many were the tattoos on the adults' and boy's foreheads. To them, it looked like a snake.

Before the new arrivals could do anything, a new portal appeared, and deposited 2 more toddlers and a man that everyone knew.

The previous toddlers slowly got up, shaking their heads and looking around in worry. As they looked at the audience, Ruby, Ilia, and Pyrrha gasped as they saw their children.

"Momma?"

END

HAHAHAHA! Ooh cliffhanger! Wonder who those new adults are (as if it isn't obvious to those who watch SG1)? And who were the more recent arrivals? So many questions! A ton of new information to dump on everyone too. There are several other droids that I haven't shown yet, some that I felt weren't needed right now, or are simply too large to fit through the 'gate, but they will show up later. They all serve one specific purpose though. What is that purpose you may ask? Spoilers. But believe me, it's not what many of you would think (at least not completely).

And now, the Arcs have begun to extract Naquadah! Personally, after the start of SG1, I never understood why the SGC just didn't go back to mine the ore on Abydos if they were so desperate for the stuff (I know Daniel had the people bury the 'gate, but what about after when they unburied it?). As Whitley said, the planet is actually rich with it, and the Arcs would have no reason not to exploit that since Ra's dead (especially now that they have semi-functioning alien ships as well as a few alien weapons). And as Jaune pointed out, Ra wasn't the only alien out there, so Adrian would not have the same thought of burying the 'gate. Now I'm sure there are many of you out there that would say that with them mining Naquadah, that I'm making the Arcs too powerful. They really aren't. Sure, they'll get Naquadah to power their stuff, and their ships would go much faster as a result. But I did the numbers (and man, was that extensive), they would need a lot more to pose any sort of real threat to the Goa'uld. If you want to skip the calculations, I've separated it:

Alright, so Apophis' Flagship destroyed a Ha'tak in 6 shots, and each of its weapons are over 3 times as powerful as the standard Ha'tak Staff Cannons. By making them 3.5x as powerful, it gives us an easy time with calculating, and sticking to canon since it is more than 3, but less than 4. So by comparing the power levels of the two weapons, a Ha'tak would be destroyed when hit by 21 standard Staff Cannon blasts (6x3.5). Which makes sense, a Ha'tak is able to withstand a good amount of the standard Staff blasts for a period of time, and each ship comes with 60 of them.

The Staff Cannons, when calibrated for orbital bombardment, is several (3-4 [by definition, "several" means 3,4, or more]) thousand Megatons, so 3,000 Megatons at minimum would be the strength. For ship-to-ship, they'd be calibrated more to 2,000 Megatons. My reasoning for this is that the Goa'uld all use the Ha'tak design (with very few exceptions), so I don't think they would use a lower power setting than that (they use the same ship, so they have the same amount of weapons; at that point, it comes down to how powerful each individual blast is). 2,000x21= 42,000 Megatons of force to destroy a Ha'tak. And again, this is with the bare minimum of "Several".

So in all, you'd need something that can dish out 42,000 Megatons to destroy a Ha'tak (even if I'm wrong and it's 1/2 strength rather than 2/3, it'd still be 31,500 Megatons [or not since again I'm using the minimum power setting of planetary bombardment as a guide, at 4,000 Megatons it'd still be 2,000 when at 1/2 strength]).

By comparison, a Goa'uld Buster (a nuclear missile enhanced with raw Naquadah, used against Apophis when he attacked Earth) is 1,000 Megatons in yield. And that didn't do anything except make a small vibration across the ship when it struck the shields. The bomb itself would only be 1/2 the strength of a single standard Staff Cannon (1000/2000=1/2). Which again, makes sense. A Staff Cannon's impact, when it hits a Ha'tak, made FAR more of an impact, with the ship suffering from massive quakes with each blast (this leads credence to my calculations for a Staff Cannon's strength as well).

So in all, you'd need a minimum of 42 Goa'uld Busters (42x1000=42,000) to destroy a single Ha'tak. And Apophis attacks Earth with two of those ships.

So yeah, not as powerful as you'd think.

Anyway, glad you all enjoyed, and I'll see you all for "PVN", By Cloud Link Zero. And anyone who complains about the character placements I will flat out ignore since I'm not in charge of that.

1. The M-19 Ballista from ME as the body. As you can tell, compared to a regular rifle this one does look a little weird. Its rounds also don't have the explosive capabilities that the actual gun in ME has, just simple railgun ammo.

2. For those of you who don't know who he is, Malik was the first King in Vacuo 1,000 years ago

3. As I explained to kyro232 in a previous chapter, the Arcs don't use Dust, and thus aren't limited by its inability to breach the atmosphere. The Red Line has been breached! And the Arcs have been using the Hydrogen Power Cell for 50 years. What wonders did they create during that time? How long were they still limited to the Red Line itself? How long, I wonder?

4. Puma Class Vehicle – Warthog, Halo (6 meters long, 3 meters wide). Created 61 years after Great War (21 BU), this is a 4 wheeled Light Vehicle. There were talks of also having hovercraft versions for this one, but its power source was still not strong enough to support it. Originally, it was powered by something else (giving a max speed of 67mph), but once the Hydrogen Power Cells came into circulation the Puma had a pair of those installed (giving a top speed of 78mph). With the design of the car, came the decision to forgo the jump jets that the Lynx has. This is because the Lynx has only 2 passengers in the front, and no one in the back to toss around and out of the vehicle when the jets activate (the gunners won't have seatbelts or really anything that'd make sure they don't fly off their post). There are several versions of this car, but the LRV is the classic chain gun mounted on the center back of the vehicle and 3 'seats' (gunner, driver, and passenger).

5. Lynx Class Vehicles – Cyclone, Star Citizen (6 meters long, 4 meters wide). Created 60 years after the Great War (22 BU), this is a 4 wheeled Light Vehicle. There were talks of having hovercraft versions, but the power source was not strong enough to support that system (and when newer technologies came in later on, it was still deemed a waste of money to install). Originally had a different power source, which tapped its top speed at 58mph; once the Hydrogen Power Cells came into circulation the Lynx had a jump in speed (67mph). There are several versions of this car (all supporting 2 people [1 driver and 1 passenger], and small jump jets meant to go over certain obstacles to reach their objective faster). The LCV version is made for transporting fuel, extra ammo, or mining materials.

6. The LSV version – Cyclone RN, Star Citizen (6 meters long, 4 meters wide). The LSV version has 4 Puppy droids in the back, along with a relay center on the roof (the large circle embedded there), for ground reconnaissance. The car also comes with a supply of small beacons, which can be placed to mark important locations for sensors back at base to pick up and go explore.

7. Puppy Droid – FQ-9 Blackbird, Halo. Created as a portable unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), they serve in an expeditionary capacity. They are deployed as scouting droids to cover large areas on the ground. Due to their small size, reliability, and silence while moving however, they are deemed too valuable to serve in a direct military capacity. Consisting of a bulky central body and a rotating lower section (no bladeless fans, those are out). The front of the main body is dominated by a large lens for the electro-optical and infrared sensors. Below the main body is a rotating sensor suite containing emitters for infrared and visible light. The generator can power the little guy for 18 hours of continuous use. This is also the only droid that can't defend itself whatsoever (1 of 8 primary droids the Arcs created). As a result, every other droid is specifically ordered to protect them while they use their speed & maneuverability to escape (like a parent protecting their child). While not looking anything like a dog, their curious nature while not on missions, as well as how other droid types are programmed to protect it, has Arcs seeing them as puppies (doesn't hurt that they also look pretty cute).

8. Squid Droid – Sentinels, The Matrix. Created as multitasking machines, they serve to build the frameworks/repair large components like ships and larger machines. With their numerous clawed tentacles & eyes, they can handle building multiple components as once, while using a powerful welding laser to weld pieces together. However, due to their large claws, they can't work on the more delicate inner workings. They are also used in mining operations, using their clawed tentacles to grasp rocks and carry them towards the mining ships/refineries they're designated for (and their welding laser can trim the rock if it's too big to carry by itself). Due to lacking dedicated weapons, they instead use their 'fangs', clawed tentacles, and welding lasers to defend themselves (which are usually enough).

9. When Atlas tries so hard to make their machines appear more human, the thought of making them look like mechanized squids who mated with a Grimm would no doubt make any of them very confused.
