Prompt: "Napoleon and Medusa go on a library date. Much banter. Their dynamic is more like drinking buddies than a couple" — Tara
The First Emperor of France was an obnoxious braggadocio, Medusa had noted on first sight. He seemed like a slightly more tempered Fergus, with a little less flirtatiousness and a little more charm. Not much, mind you, but there was something endearing in how he always let the child Servants climb on top of him when he encountered them in the hallways.
"You're staring again."
Medusa blinked. Napoleon was looking at her with a small, knowing smirk, a thick biography in his hands.
"And? What of it?"
"I can understand the charm of a man like Bedivere more than you know, but you would do well to be less obvious."
"Don't be ridiculous." Medusa waved her hand dismissively. "He's, at best, a pretty boy with less spine than an amoeba. Three out of ten."
"Really?" Napoleon's eyebrows raised. "Okay, rest of the Knights of the Round. Go."
"Agravain is a negative ten."
"No arguments there."
"I'd put Gawain at a... five, nearly a six. He tries too hard and fails too often."
"I find that most attractive myself. I like people who try. Seven-point-five out of ten."
"Tristan is far too depressing for such a beautiful face. Four out of ten."
"Fair enough. I would give him three. I bet he'd complain when I didn't give him a haircut whenever he asked."
Medusa snorted. "Lancelot... seven. He can improve to be better, but he's good-natured, though I'm not sure if I could trust him."
"I think he's reformed. I'll agree with a seven."
"Mordred... a bit too loud for me. Six."
"Also my type. Eight."
"The Lion King, when she's in a better mood, is a nine."
"Absolutely. She's got a big heart."
Medusa shot him a flat stare. "Uh-huh. Are you sure that's what you were looking at?"
He grinned through his blush. "Same area, isn't it?"
"You're absurd."
"And you're a ten."
It was Medusa's turn to blush. "Shut up."
"Never."
