Rin woke up to screaming. Not human screaming, she knew what that sound like, but the screaming and squealing of metal sliding against metal. She slammed her hands over her ears and looked at the clock, blearily trying to make out the time.
Six am!?
Growling, Rin threw off her blanket and stormed out of her room, down the stairs. She managed not to fall, only stumble on the bottom step, but quickly recovered. It was in her living room that she found the source of the noise.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Rin screamed at Caster.
"Hey, keep it down!" Caster replied indignantly. "Do you want to wake the neighbors?"
"DON'T YOU TALK TO ME ABOUT WAKING UP ANYONE! I COULD HEAR THAT FROM MY BEDROOM!"
"Oops." The inventor grinned through her awkwardness and scratched the back of her head. "Ahaha. I just wanted to upgrade your computer, but then one thing led to another and..."
ARF.
The... mechanical dog, if it could even be called that, towered above them both. At least nine feet high if not more.
"HOW DID YOU TURN MY COMPUTER INTO THIS." Rin couldn't help but speak with Caps Lock on. Give her a break, it's six in the morning.
"I'm a genius!" Caster posed and winked as if that explained everything. Rin was not amused.
ARF. I AM A DOG.
"SHUT UP."
