Prompt: "Shirou takes Meltryllis on a date to an ice-skating rink." — Skell
Meltryllis did not like to hold hands. Also, she did not like to be called "Melt"—Shirou learned that the hard way. But she did like the cold. She did like to dance, though not in a club or anything. She liked to dance alone or—on very rare occasions—with him. He always felt so embarrassed when she did because she so clearly outclassed him and, yet, still she did so.
He watched from the side as she so elegantly skated around the rink as if she was born there. Parents held their children aside as she swooshed past, both adult and child slack-jawed. He could see Meltryllis's easy smile—one she so rarely wore—as she took curves more naturally than she walked.
She stopped in front of him, her trademark smirk back.
"You were watching," she stated.
"Is there somewhere else I was supposed to look?" he asked.
"No." She bent over the rail. "Never. But you're supposed to be on the ice."
"I told you, I don't know how to skate..." he looked aside awkwardly.
"There's a first time for everything, isn't there?"
"I... don't want to slow you down."
"Idiot." Her easy smile was back. She offered her sleeves to him, and instinctually he held her cold hands inside of them. "I'd just work you to the bone until you were fast enough to stay with me."
Before he could reply, she had already started to move, still holding onto him. "Now to go the clerk and ask for a pair of skates. We're not leaving until you can do an axel jump."
Shirou paled. "Um... I don't think I can do that today."
She wore a wide grin. "Then we won't be leaving for a while, will we?"
