Gilbert Residence.
March 31st.
Cherith wakes up, staring at her ceiling the following day.
Last night had really been something and so she'd slept in as much as she could. Her alarm clock read a few minutes past 11 already. Apart from the whole wolfy transformation, there was the drawing power from the moon.
She raised her hand to her line of sight.
While she was still paler than she was used to, it wasn't like when she'd absorbed it and looked like a moon inhabitant.
She lit up her hand, it was brighter than usual and she stared at the book on her window seat, levitating it towards her. She paused though as she noticed that it wasn't just the book floating in the air, but also a couple of other things in her room.
She sat up as she laid them back.
She could definitely feel herself getting stronger.
How exciting.
But it seemed she'd be better off trying out her powers somewhere safe rather than in her room and risk destroying it again like the previous year when she had just been coming into her powers.
She stood up, leaving her room and heading into the bathroom for her hygiene routine.
She hadn't seen Elena except for early in the morning around 2am or so when she'd rushed into her room and tackled the ruby haired girl into a hug, startling her out of her precious sleep while thanking her profusely for saving Stefan.
Cherith didn't remember much, except for levitating her ass out of her room and turning over in her bed, going back to sleep.
Now that she thought about it, it had become second nature to her, lifting things that she'd have had second thoughts when she had still been a newbie witch.
She really needed to up her practice.
It was weekend and she could finally have some time for herself before maybe checking out the barbecue at the school later in the evening. Leslie was one of the volunteers and she had raved about how fun it would be.
After showering, she dressed in a short sleeved dark blue crop with straight lines. It had a square low neck and mini frills at the end of the sleeves and the length itself and she paired it with a high waist skinny white jeans with a rip on its left knee, leaving her toned stomach out and she finished with white platform sneakers, leaving her hair down and grabbing her satchel bag and heading down the stairs.
As she walked into the kitchen, she saw Jeremy and Jenna.
"Hey two J's… how's it going?"
She greeted as she opened the fridge and grabs a bottle of water.
"Hey you… going somewhere?"
Jenna asked, looking at her already dressed niece who nods.
"Yeah. Doing some little reading and maybe end up at the Grill later on. See you…"
She slaps Jeremy over the head who throws an half empty bottle of water at her but he missed and she snickered as she walked out, heading to her car.
Her destination being the woods.
She didn't notice a figure watch her drive off.
Mystic Grill.
Alaric watches Jules talking to the Sheriff at the Grill and brings out his phone immediately, dialing Damon.
"Hey, Damon. The wolf is at the grill."
He watches her closely as she sits down at a table and Stefan walks into the Grill, heading over to Alaric after throwing the new resident of Mystic Falls a look as he sits down.
"Is that the-?"
Alaric nods.
"Yeah, yeah. I just left Damon a message."
"So you're doing his dirty work for him now."
He gave the history teacher a look which Alaric returned back.
"She could have a cure for Rose. I couldn't find anything in Isobel's research except that it's fatal. Maybe seeing as she's a walking, talking wolf, she could have an idea of what could help out."
Stefan scoffed slightly, giving the werewolf another look.
"I don't think she'll be eager to talk about that. But I need a favor… Do you still know of a way to get in touch with Isobel?"
Alaric frowned.
"Even if I did, she isn't gonna help."
"Katherine said that Isobel knew of Klaus."
"So this isn't about Rose, it's about Elena."
Stefan nods unapologetically and Alaric sighed, massaging his forehead slightly as if thinking deeply.
"I have an old number, probably out of service."
Stefan shrugged.
"No harm in giving it to me then?"
"You know you can't trust Isobel, even when it comes to Elena."
He gave the blonde haired vampire a serious look and Stefan nods.
"I know that."
"Alright. I'm gonna see if I can find the number. If I do, I'll text it to you."
Stefan thanks him and is about to leave when he remembers something that had been on his mind since the previous night.
"Hey, you think you can also help me search out something else?"
He asked Alaric who shrugged slightly.
"What's it about?"
"I don't really have much on it but it's going to be about a myth. And something about a crown-like headpiece. Like two horned but not exactly… maybe worn by someone with a lot of powers… it all sounds familiar to me but I have no clue where I could have heard or seen it from before."
Alaric nods, slightly startled at the request.
"Sure. I'll check Isobel's research to see what I can find on it."
Alaric stands up and leaves, leaving Stefan in his thoughts.
Woods.
Cherith dropped her bag by a half dead tree and looked around.
It was afternoon so the sun shone beautifully and the skies was a bright blue color.
Cherith smiled as she closed her eyes, enjoying the rays of sunshine against her skin.
It was calming and it was strengthening at the same time as well.
She came here to calm her magic… Again.
Chaos magic was a splendid yet deadly form of magic… it was a form of manipulation magic, so that would indeed be a good reason why Cherith herself feared herself above all else.
While she didn't know the full extent of her powers yet, she herself knew the destruction she was capable of.
But destruction and total chaos was not the only thing chaos magic was capable of.
This kind of magic taps into and utilizes chaotic forces of the universe, granting the user nigh-omnipotent scale magical powers and mastery of spells capable of warping, manipulating and/or reconstructing reality and probability as well as the very fabric of existence.
Shame for her as she couldn't access most of them yet… but is it so much a shame? Rather a blessing, as at least for now, the world couldn't be brought to the throes of destruction anytime soon at the hands of a 16 year old just because she accessed powers way above her control.
Cherith breathed in and out, willing her magic around herself, eyes still closed and the air began to pick up around her.
The sun seemed to focus more on her as her pale skin glistened, almost like the vampires of twilight and a crimson golden aura leaked out of her skin, making her look as if she was a giant flame.
The trees rustled and she pushed out more magic and suddenly, it was as if she could feel the very core of the forest itself.
It felt alive… weak but alive, but feeling it alone felt so beautiful.
The magic all around her sang as the Scarlet Witch's aura clung to her very skin and she looked like a goddess. Something to be looked upon with awe and adoration. That was what she was.
And it was soon over, as her aura went back into her very skin and the air settled.
She breathed out, feeling calm and a small smile bloomed across her lips as she opened her eyes.
What met her though slightly surprised her.
The trees that had seemed half dead were now alive and standing tall and the very air around her seemed so… clean… so pure.
And her smile was beautiful.
"That was very impressive…"
Cherith's head snapped towards the sound of the voice as she turned to stare at someone she hadn't expected to ever search her out.
He was tall, that much was true, and dressed in an immaculate black suit just like the last time she'd seen him. His hair well kept and a small smile on his face that looked rather good on him.
Her eyes narrowed in suspicion.
"My name is Elijah… I mean you no harm, Miss Gilbert."
Ohhh, how Cherith wanted to slap that confident look off his face.
Mystic Grill.
Jules is eating at a table nearby, being watched occasionally by Stefan.
The buzzing of his phone snaps him out of it though and he picks up.
"Hey Stefan, I already sent you the number. As for the crown thing you talked about…"
Stefan held his breath slightly as Alaric seemed to turn a page of a book.
"There's a page here that talks about an 'hemhem' crown from Egyptian mythology… sort of a ceremonial headgear and rather large to—"
Stefan shook his head immediately.
"No. Not that one. This one is small and doesn't even go over the head. Just around the forehead and then—"
"Two sharp sides going up?"
Alaric finished for him, making Stefan sit up eagerly.
"You found it?"
"Yeah uh…That was the only other one in Isobel's research book. Actually I think we saw it the day we went to Duke but it hadn't been important. Ah, here it is… The Mythology of The Scarlet Witch."
Stefan perked up at the mention of the word witch.
"Scarlet Witch? What's that?"
"Well… there's not much on it here… just that the myth itself is thousands and thousands of years old. It is regarded as a myth amongst historians because it is something too powerful to exist. According to the book, the Scarlet Witch is a being capable of spontaneous creation and the ability to use chaos magic."
"Chaos magic huh?"
He suddenly remembered those things when she joked about being 'chaos incarnate.'
"Yes. A form of sorcery apparently, so dangerous and rare that it's knowledge has been long forgotten. The Scarlet Witch name itself is apparently a title and there's a picture here that depicts a woman in the headgear and what looks like magic surrounding her. There really isn't much to go by here. Just some talks on chaos magic, or what it entails and all… basically this being is a god in their own right. But like the book said, it's a myth. Why are you asking about this anyway?"
Stefan's mind clouded slightly at the information he'd just heard.
Was Cherith…
While he wasn't so sure about that, he also didn't want to be quick to discard such an idea.
Wouldn't it make sense?
But still.. Alaric had depicted this being as having unlimited power—
"Stefan?"
The blonde vampire shook his head slightly.
"Yeah uh… sorry about that… it was just something I'd seen. Look I'll call you later Alaric… let me try the number."
He evaded Alaric and quickly cut the call, scrolling through his messages to see the number.
While he wanted to ask Cherith about her powers, he knew that one, she'd ignore him or most likely attack him for 'getting all up in her business' and two, now was not the time to be dealing with that as Elena's life was in danger.
It didn't mean he wouldn't breach the subject with Cherith anytime soon though…
His curiosity wouldn't let him rest otherwise…
Woods.
Cherith watched the vampire in front of her and she scoffed slightly.
"You mean me no harm? That's the best you can do? I do particularly remember you kidnapping my sister… and as much of a pain in the behind as she is… she's still family nonetheless."
Elijah nodded understandingly.
"I'd of course like to point out it was not I who had your sister kidnapped. Rather, she was brought to me."
She raised an eyebrow but he continued.
"And I do indeed understand the want to protect family. Rather admirable."
Cherith closed her mouth and the two regarded each other.
As an original, Elijah was more sensitive to magic than turned vampires, and the magic that was currently emanating from this being in front of him was overflowing. It was like… an unstoppable dam of energy, never ending and it certainly attracted him to her, just as he was sure it would attract a number of powerful people as well… and if she was what he thought… then his dearest brother had no idea just what he would be meeting in this town yet, especially if he thought the doppelganger would be easily taken by him.
"Why are you here?"
She questioned, folding her arms rather petulantly and slouching a bit.
It made Elijah smile just a bit.
She rather reminded him of Rebekah in this instance… with a touch of Kol.
But who would believe such a girl carried the amount of power he could feel, in such a petite body, even as fiercely beautiful and bold as she was.
"I am here because I wanted to meet you, face to face… make sure there were no hard feelings between us from that day."
Cherith scoffed slightly, waving him off.
"Shouldn't I be saying that to you? I mean… let's face it Isaiah, I practically kicked your ass and left you to your death. I feel no guilt as it is what it is, but… no hard feelings from my side I guess… especially since you said you weren't the main cause of my sister getting kidnapped. You were just a reason."
Elijah though, blinked slightly.
"Isaiah?"
Cherith tilted her head slightly at him.
"Isn't that your name?"
He raised an eyebrow.
"My name is Elijah."
"Oh… well same difference I guess… but you still haven't told me the real reason you're here. And don't tell me it's all that no hard feelings crap."
She cut him off as he opened his mouth and he regarded her again.
Martin indeed had been right.
This one would be harder to get to than the older sister.
He decided to go straight to the point.
"Perhaps your sister might have told you about the agreement we both came to, and what it entails. Klaus is the most powerful of my kind and will indeed be very hard to beat. Your sister being here, will of course attract him to this town and believe me when I say I will not stand with him."
Cherith put her hand on her waist.
"What exactly do you have against him?"
An emotion passed through Elijah's eyes before it was gone immediately.
"He… took something of mine. Something priceless."
His family.
And buried them at sea.
Cherith looked at him closely, her magic swirling around her and while she wasn't trusting of him… not one bit, she could feel the truthfulness in those words.
"Ugh, fine… whatever… but!"
She gave him a stormy look, walking right up and standing in close proximity to the original and Elijah could feel her magic surround him, threatening and violently chaotic yet held back.
"You might be a vampire 2.0, but if you so much as harm a single hair on the head of my family… I will paint the town red… with your blood."
She gave him a promising look and he watched as her amethyst eyes turned crimson which interested him greatly as he gave her a solemn nod.
"Of course. I give you my word."
That drew her back slightly as her eyes cleared back to it's original color and she looked at him with a puzzled look.
"Hunh… how about that… I thought all vampires were stupid or something."
She mumbled and he raised an eyebrow as he looked down at her, making her clear her throat.
"Can't blame me. All the ones I've met are annoyingly dense. It's like their brains were shrunk immediately after they transitioned into vampires. Anyways!"
She grinned at him, her magic becoming all chaotic again it was fascinating.
"I'm glad we're seemingly on the same page here. I really dislike getting caught up in people's dramas."
Elijah smiled.
"Of course."
She then stepped back from him, grabbing her bag.
"Well it was nice meeting you, but I have to go now anyways… you should smile more often too… makes you look less obnoxious."
She gave him a wry smile before lighting up her hands.
"See you around Elias."
She flew off.
"Elijah."
He softly called out but he knew she didn't care, nor did she even hear him and he gave a small chuckle.
"A goddess amongst ants…"
He said to himself softly as he turned to walk off.
"The Scarlet Witch in Mystic Falls. Very fascinating."
He gave a small smile before blurring off.
Mystic Grill.
Cherith eats her food while occasionally staring around the Grill.
No one she was that familiar with was in at the present. Not even Matt but they were all probably at the school for the booster club barbecue happening soon.
It was already late afternoon and Cherith's run in with Elijah played in her head.
He was too much of an unknown for her to be comfortable around him.
He looked like someone who knew everything. Someone deadly and someone who could turn on you in the blink of an eye.
And she didn't like that… Not one bit.
Who exactly was this Elijah fellow and what did he have against Santa—Klaus… not Santa, Klaus… you know what—whatever!
But seriously, why was he with them?
He seemed to have a sort of animosity towards the dude but was it enough for him to actually stand with her sister?
She sighed.
"This is why I hate drama…"
She mumbled, picking up her drink when her phone rang on the table and she picked it up, rolling her eyes slightly as she saw the caller ID.
"What?"
She sighed out as she enjoyed her food and Elena's slightly frantic voice sounded over the phone.
"Cherry? Where are you?"
"The Grill. Again, what?"
"Rose… Rose has escaped and she's killed someone at the high school."
"Who the hell is Rose?"
She frowned as she spotted her peeling black painted nail, idly making plans to repaint them later on.
"She's the vampire that kidnapped me and has been helping me out with information. The one who got bit. She's hallucinating and now she's out…"
Cherith frowned.
"Oh… well that's bad?"
"Yeah. Do you think you could check it out but be careful? I think Jeremy's there too… and our friends."
Cherith nodded as she took another spoon of her food.
"Yeah, sure. Bitch is dead though…"
"Wait, wh—"
But she'd already cut it though, after all, whoever disturbed Cherith from her wondrous food must be an enemy of the state… her state of well-being, to be precise. Not also forgetting that someone innocent was dead. Something she didn't like to hear or witness.
With a sigh, she stood up, paying for the almost empty plate and walked out, idly wondering what exactly the bite of a werewolf could do to a vampire and if she should be worried about the blooming friendship between Caroline and Tyler.
Mystic Falls High.
Cherith walked out of her car, looking around.
The school was all lit up with party lights and canopies here and there, music blasting out and people having fun.
It was slightly dark out already and Cherith spotted a couple of cop cars here and there and some deputies walking around.
"Hey you!"
The ruby haired girl turned to see Leslie who was chatting it up with Chad.
New achievement for the brown haired girl.
Cherith smiled and walked over to them.
"Hey you two… this all seems nice."
She waved around and Leslie huffed.
"You didn't exactly volunteer though."
Cherith shrugged.
"You know I don't do those sort of things… very boring."
Chad chuckled as Leslie rolled her eyes.
"Oh yeah… doing something for the betterment of your town… very boring."
Cherith grinned at her friend.
"You sure do get me."
She took the red cup from Leslie's hand and downed the drink, handing back the empty cup to the girl as Chad chortled.
"I hate you."
Leslie playfully seethed and Cherith huffed with a grin.
"Please, we both know that's a lie."
Leslie rolled her eyes but a grin filtered across her face before Cherith realized exactly why she was here.
"Hey, have you seen my brother around? Or maybe even Elena?"
Leslie moved to open her mouth when she suddenly looked behind Cherith and her eyes bulged a bit as she took a small and rather inconspicuous step back.
Chad though, points behind Cherith who turned to see Elena and Damon approaching, both with grim faces and Cherith excused herself, meeting them halfway.
"So where's she?"
Cherith asked the two and Elena shook her head.
"We don't know… she could be anywhere around here."
Cherith looked around.
"Probably around less crowded places though. You said she's… delusional or something, she's probably hiding somewhere to strike. Somewhere a bit further from the party but not too far."
Damon nods, looking very serious.
"Let's get out of here."
Their search didn't take long though as Cherith jogged in the front, a grim feeling in her heart as she left Elena and Damon behind and she jogged over to the parking space where she heard a female's scream.
Immediately she picked up her speed, lightly hearing her sisters call for her but that wasn't her priority as she got to the scene and was met with the vampire already sinking her fangs into a blonde woman.
Cherith wasted no time lighting her hands and calling on the vampires attention.
"Hey!"
Rose pushed the blonde away from her and turned her bloody face to the newcomer but Cherith wasn't giving her any chance to make a move as she raised a hand to a fist and Rose fell to the ground, holding at her neck as if she couldn't breathe and Cherith glared at the vampire.
"Rose! Cherith let go."
Damon reached her side and she turned to him with a glare.
"She just killed people!"
Damon gave her a pleading look.
"Please… she's already dying."
"Cherry…"
Elena stood by her side, a sad look on her face as she stared at the vampire and Cherith gave her a look before releasing her choke hold and immediately, Rose got to her feet, blurring over to the offending redhead but Damon got to her first, throwing her to the ground.
"Rose, Rose! It's me, it's Damon. It's Damon!"
He held onto the struggling female who seemed to still as she looked around herself, stopping at the now dead blonde and letting out a devastated cry.
"Oh my God! I did that?!"
She let out a cry and Cherith frowned, feeling some sympathy in her as Damon carried the vampire.
"Come on, let's get you home."
He says in a soft voice and Rose shook her head, trembling.
"No, I don't have a home, I haven't had a home in so long."
Cherith frowned the more Rose cried helplessly and the ruby haired wished she could help her out, but there was nothing she could do.
As much as she had raw power, like Sheila Bennett had once told her, all that power was nothing without practice and knowledge.
As Damon walked off, Elena picked the stake she'd startlingly dropped when Rose had blurred over to her and her sister and Cherith looked at the dead blonde on the floor and her frown deepened.
She'd seen her before, quite a number of times actually. She was a nurse at the hospital and her boyfriend was a paramedic who—oh…
Cherith swallowed slightly as she saw said boyfriend also dead on the car.
She felt her grip tighten in anger and helplessness.
Another loss to Mystic Falls… again.
"Cherry?... You okay?"
Elena softly spoke to her sister who turned to her with a sigh.
"Yeah, sure. Why wouldn't I be?"
She shook her head as she walked past Elena who watched her sister go with a tired sigh.
Mystic Grill.
Tyler walks into the Grill with mixed emotions from that evening, still in his football jersey.
Apart from the stupid decision he'd taken which might not only ruin his friendship with Matt, but also Caroline, what with kissing her, he also had his missing uncle to think about.
Which was actually the reason why he walked towards a table and sat opposite his uncle's supposed friend, Jules.
"Thank you for coming."
She tells him as soon as he sits down but Tyler wasn't really in the mood for talking.
"So what do you want from me?"
"Just to be your friend. Mason would have wanted that. I know about Mason and you."
Tyler's hackles immediately raise at that as he looks at her suspiciously.
"You know what?"
"I know you're a werewolf and I know your little friend Caroline is a vampire."
His eyes widen in shock as he looks around before leaning closer to her.
"How do you know about Caroline?"
Jules scoffs.
"You can't sniff them out?"
Tyler doesn't answer, having no idea what to say but Jules immediately got what he was trying to hide.
"My god. You're brand new."
She looks at him in shock and he swallows uncomfortable.
"How many times have you turned?"
"Once."
He shrugs and Jules' eyes soften.
"Hey, I can help you."
She places a hand on his but Tyler feels uncomfortable and takes his hands off the table, asking her a question that he wanted answered more than anything.
"Do you know where Mason is?"
At that, Jules' eyes hardened.
"He's dead, Tyler. He was murdered."
Tyler looks at her, slightly speechless at her straightforward answer, but he shook his head.
There was no way…
"No."
"You want to know who murdered him?"
"I—Just stop."
He raised his hand, not wanting to believe what she said.
"Your little blonde vampire did."
"Stop it! That's crazy. Caroline would never do that."
He told her in a matter of fact voice and Jules scoffed.
"She and her little vampire friends were behind it, Tyler."
"Caroline is the only vampire in town."
"Is that what she told you? She lied. This town is crawling with vampires but don't worry, we'll get them."
Tyler looked away as his heartbeat quickened at the thought of Mason being dead.
He couldn't… he just couldn't believe it. Now more than ever when he needed Mason. He just couldn't be dead.
If it was true… did that mean Caroline…??...
And what about Cherith?...
He looked back at the veteran wolf in front of him.
"Who are you?"
He whispered in a shaky voice and Jules smiles at him, sure she was already getting to him.
"I'm your friend. There are others like us and they're on their way."
Gilbert Residence.
Cherith walked out of her room that night in her PJs after a well needed shower.
A lot of things had definitely happened since the whole full moon thing.
Apart from having a vampire run rampant around Mystic Falls, she had met Vampire 2.0 in the flesh… whatever his name was, that is…
The front door unlocked and opened as she walked down the stairs and Cherith stopped as she noticed just who had walked in with Stefan.
"Hello Cherry…"
He smiled and Cherith blinked twice before shrugging, continuing her walk down the stairs and heading into the kitchen.
"It's too late for this kind of shit."
John Gilbert chuckled as he walked after her, Stefan following behind and Cherith grabbed a tub of ice cream and a spoon.
"What are you even doing here?"
She turned to him with a raised eyebrow and John shrugged.
"I heard you all might have run into some original problem and I'm here to help you out."
Cherith licked her spoon of ice cream, looking at him disbelievingly.
"Uh-huh…"
"You don't believe me?"
Cherith shrugged as she walked past the two.
"You look way too sinister for a person who has just one reason to be back in this stupid town. But good to see you I guess."
She calls out as she flops on the couch, putting on the TV to watch.
Not really her problem right now.
Meanwhile…
Elena sighs as she walks towards her home that night.
Slightly stressful, what with almost getting killed by Rose who'd taught her to be Katherine in her delusional rage.
Now, she was dead… and wasn't that heartbreaking?
To the very end, she'd looked death in the eye and welcomed it.
She did feel sympathy for Damon though…
He'd lost a friend and he'd tried to pull it off as just another death he didn't care about.
She truly did hope he'd be okay.
As she climbed up the porch, about walking to the door, her eyes catch a rather inconspicuous large brown envelope that had fallen over the chair on the porch.
Walking over to it, she crouched and picked it up and stood back up, turning it over and frowning when she saw an emblem with a word on it.
University of Oxford.
She blinked slightly.
Why would this be here anyways?
She didn't know anyone who would be receiving this in her house.
Heck, the only one who was currently waiting on her admission letter was—
Immediately she thought about it, a feeling of dread appeared in her guts as she stared at the envelope again.
University of Oxford…
No…
Her sister didn't register for…
No, she didn't…
She wouldn't have… would she?...
At her unsurety, she immediately grabbed at the edge and tore it open uncaringly and brings out a paper in it, only staring at the name on it, and as she did, anger and betrayal clouded her mind.
Cherith Iola Gilbert-Cadwallader.
She wasted no time as her anger built up and she bursts into the house, looking up at the stairs while her fist tightened around the envelope.
"Cherith! Get down here now!"
She calls out and Cherith who was relaxed on the chair turns to her enraged sister with a look of confusion.
"Howdy."
She called out and Elena's head immediately snapped to the sound as she marched over to the redhead.
"How could you?!"
She spat out in anger and Cherith raised an eyebrow.
"How could I what, exactly?"
Elena slaps the envelope on the couch and with a frown, Cherith took it, sitting up and as she turned it, her eyes bulged out.
"Whoa, it came already?"
She mumbled to herself and Elena's anger built up again.
"So it's true?! You chose Oxford?? How could you?!"
She spat out and Cherith stood up, giving her a look.
"How could I what, exactly? Register for a school I've always wanted to go to?"
"What are you talking about?! It was always meant to be Whitmore!"
Cherith scoffed.
"That's your own dream Elena. This is my own decision."
"I don't agree!"
"Excuse you?!"
Cherith's eyes sharpened at her sister and Elena stands her ground.
"Cherry you can't go halfway across the world! It's too far!"
Cherith huffed.
"Watch me!"
Elena let out a scream of frustration and Stefan finally decided to step in-between them before it could blow to proportions.
"Elena…"
The brunette's head snapped to Stefan who gave her a small smile.
"Stefan? You're back?"
Stefan nods.
"Yeah, but with someone else…"
As soon as he said that, John walks out from behind him with a blank face.
"Oxford University, Cherry?... Hello Elena…"
Elena's jaw dropped.
"Uncle John…"
Cherith immediately used that opportunity to push Elena into the couch, startling the girl as Cherith runs up the stairs and towards her room.
Elena recovers before Stefan got to her and with a small glare towards John, she zoomed after her sister and tries to open her door only for it to be locked.
"Cherry! Open the door right now!"
She banged at the door angrily but Cherith ignored it as she sat on her bed, removing the things in the envelope, from a magazine to some pamphlets but she was focused on the main letter.
Dear Cherith,I am delighted to inform you that your application for admission has been successful and we are happy to offer you a place—
A grin appeared on Cherith's as she realized… she made it!
"I MADE IT!"
She screamed out in glee, ignoring Elena's continuous banging against the door.
She made it!
Cherith beamed.
