SCP: Birth Of The Legends

Chapter 30: The Father and The Maou.

[A/N: I must apologize for any mistake again mainly with the commas]

"AUNT!"

Blake barely had time to react to her great-grandson's tackle, but even then, she felt the air getting out from her lungs. He was as affectionate as ever.

"You have grown a lot since our last met," she said softly while embracing him back.

Adam blushed when he remembered that Yasaka was there but she told him with a gesture that it was okay. Behaving like that would just embarrass Serafall.

A little disappointed, he separated from his aunt.

Yasaka had called him for something, maybe it had something to do with her husband.

Wait, why was his aunt doing there?

"Ehem. Did you need me for something, your highness?"

For Haruki was obvious that Adam was ignoring him. How did that pathetic lesser being dare to ignore him?

Yasaka looked around, apparently, the women around him decided to explore her territories. She could sense Kuriho in the gardens, Natasha in her living quarters, and Jennifer...on the ceiling?

The fox-woman raised her gaze and found Jennifer literally standing on the ceiling, looking at her upside-down with her hair and clothes defying gravity; she truly was a vampire.

Both blondes exchanged gazes, none of them showed any kind of hostility, just neutrality.

Yasaka smirked and returned her gaze to Adam, Jennifer was there to watch over him and she wouldn't do anything about it. She could smell Jennifer's pheromones trying to assert her dominance over Adam, if she was in her position, she would do the same.

Hold up. Did Jennifer have wolf ears and a tail?

"Oh, it's nothing to do with me, William-kun. Your grandmother wishes to talk with you."

Adam and Yasaka smirked when they noticed Haruki clenching his fists when she said his name with such a friendly tone.

Adam rubbed salt on the wound and got closer to Yasaka, too close.

Haruki just wanted to kill that fool, he was being too friendly with her wife. No one had the right to touch what was his.

Once Adam was close enough, he whispered softly in her ear. "You'll be fine alone with him?"

"Don't worry. I'd like to talk with you about something important later."

Jennifer and Blake frowned slightly, that was suspicious.

Adam turned around and with a movement of his head asked Blake to get out of the room. Jennifer decided to stay a little longer, she had read and heard rumors about the Emperor.

The newspapers had small articles about the corruption of the current rulers and a supposed black market that was being run by the richest families of Kyoto and the Emperor himself.

The only way to see if those rumors were true was watching the Emperor's behavior when he (thought) was alone. Her mother always said that one could tell how evil was someone by the way he/she behaved with their spouse.

She only could hope that Yasaka wasn't involved in such a thing.

In order to spy properly she turned invisible, she hadn't taken precautions to disguise her scent though. Maybe Yasaka would just think that she left. If the Empress hadn't caught her scent, that plan was destined to be a success.

"What did he tell you?" questioned Haruki with authority.

"Nothing of your concern."

It seemed that marriage wasn't going well. She had to avoid that situation, she would make sure to get Adam addicted to her.

What kind of thought was that?!

"Nothing of my concern?"

"Exactly, as you can have matters with your concubines that don't concern me I can have matters with Adam-kun that don't concern you."

Haruki felt an incommensurable rage and in an impulsive action, he slapped his wife. He felt deeply offended by Yasaka's words.

How could she even think that her matters didn't concern him?

She was his property, she belonged to him; she wasn't allowed to have eyes on other men and she couldn't have matters unknown to him.

Yasaka's eyes watered but not for physical pain.

She was leagues above Haruki in terms of power and physical abilities, she was divine-like. That slap she received was the equivalent of a ball hitting a concrete wall.

No, the pain she was experiencing was emotional.

She really had hope for her husband, hope that he would demonstrate to her that he loved her, that he trusted her. That wasn't the first time he struck her, it wasn't something that happened too often but the fact of it happening was bad enough.

What just happened made her remember her friend and sort of lover's words.

"I know that it's hard for you but you need to move on. Haruki doesn't love you, for him you're like an object or a mere mean to an end. Think, Yasaka, his current political power was gained because he is your husband."

Yasaka had already given him a lot of opportunities but he just proved Serafall's point.

"What is this?!"

Haruki's exclamation snapped her out of her thoughts just to see how he was thrown across the throne room by an invisible force. He managed to maneuver mid-air and land on his feet, after this, he raised his guard.

The Empress also looked for the origin, since it was an invisible force, it either was telekinesis or gravity magic; the gravity Dust from Remnant was a possibility but she didn't see or hear anything like a gunshot or explosion.

She couldn't sense magic either, by elimination it was telekinesis. Her knowledge told him that there were few creatures with such mind to have that power but she remembered one of her guests.

A blonde gorgeous young woman, an agent of the Foundation but more importantly a vampire.

Jennifer dropped herself from the ceiling, she subconsciously had placed herself between Yasaka and her abusive husband. For a second, she thought that Adam would have done the exact same thing.

"How dare you attack me? Who do you think you are?"

Alright, Haruki seemed furious, it wasn't like she cared.

"I'm just acting accordingly, I just saw how you harmed the Empress. As her guest and ally, I cannot allow such a thing to slide."

Yasaka blinked twice genuinely confused, Jennifer barely knew her but stood up for her. That was honorable.

Well, it was true that the Foundation was an active ally of Kyoto for almost a century now.

"I will..."

"Enough!"

It was the first time that Jennifer heard the Empress raised her voice and impose her authority, she got to admit that the Empress was scary.

Haruki tensed his body, it was the first time that his wife raised her voice to him. Those damn outsiders were ruining his life!

The nekomata that Haruki had as concubine had kneeled and lowered her head. If the Emperor punished her constantly for no apparent reason, the Empress had reasons to punish her. She had sex with her husband almost daily and helped him to hide things from her.

What if she decided to execute her?!

Jennifer straightened her posture and bowed. "As you wish, your highness."

"Yasaka, I-"

"Keep quiet!"

Haruki wasn't a fool; he knew that if Yasaka wanted to kill him she could do it easily. He will obey for now but he will make sure of breaking Yasaka, turning her into his slave.

No, her sex slave.

"Haruki, I highly recommend you to leave at once," Said Yasaka with a threatening tone. "I want you out of my sight for the rest of the day."

"Of course, I crossed a line. I'll compensate you."

As the current Emperor swiftly yet elegantly got out of the room, Jennifer had to admit that he was a good actor. Trying to sound remorseful after raising his hand against the woman he was supposed to protect.

"You stay here."

The nekomata that was about to get out of the throne room paralyzed before Yasaka's call, it was her end.

With scared and doubtful steps she got in front of Yasaka and kneeled.

Jennifer rose an eyebrow, now that she had time, she could analyze the nekomata better.

First of all, she didn't have Asian features, she was young-looking, maybe was 15-18 years old. By her body language, it was easy to deduce that she was terrorized by Yasaka.

The half-vampire decided to step aside and simply hear. Yasaka didn't ask her or made her a gesture to leave the room.

"I haven't seen you since my husband brought you to my living quarters three months ago."

The nekomata nodded.

"Alright, I'm aware of my husband's shady businesses and I'm certain that he didn't find you in the woods."

Yasaka gave Jennifer a gaze full of regret and she was hoping for utter disappointment but what she got was a cold, and professional glare.

"I don't understand, your highness," said the nekomata. "What do you mean?"

"You must know that I will keep you safe and make sure that my husband faces justice."

The nekomata nodded. She had been broken both physically and emotionally by the Emperor, while she would obey with no questions for fear of getting punished, this was her time to shine, her time for payback.

"If you c-can protect me then I will say what I know."

"Hey! Don't touch them like that!"

"I'm just inspecting them."

"Hmm~! Kuriho!"

"I'm sorry~"

The fox-woman put her hands off Natasha's breasts. How things led to that situation was something not so hard to explain.

Kuriho chose to follow Natasha just to spend more time with her, the scientist went to Adam's room, and after a while of awkward silence, they started talking about the scientist's insecurities.

Of course that Natasha pointed out the voluptuous body that Kuriho had.

Then, Kuriho managed to make Natasha show her breasts and didn't waste the chance to massage them.

Natasha just wearing underwear and her dress was on the floor. She had planned to take a shower but her talk with Kuriho was delaying it.

"Natasha, you're body is very beautiful and fat in the right places. Trust me when I say that Adam won't put you aside, no matter the situation."

"You're right, he's a good man. Wait, what did you mean with fat?!"

Kuriho merely took off the kimono that was covering her body. Once she was completely naked, she grabbed her large breasts.

"I'm fat here~"

Her hands ran over her abdomen before grabbing her thighs, she smiled mischievously when noticed that Natasha's eyes were fixated on her hands.

"I'm fat here too~"

She turned around and swayed her hips a little. "I'm fat here too~"

Natasha's face acquired her hair color. Well, at least Kuriho wasn't starving anymore, she was happy and healthy now. Her eyes looked at Kuriho's rear without shame.

That was a round and big ass though. She could say now why Adam wanted to be Kuriho's boyfriend. That woman had so much to grab!

"I know that is a little early for some girl-on-girl action," Kuriho commented while putting her clothes on.

Natasha rolled her eyes, Kuriho always acted so seductively and showed off her body. All those innuendos she did back in Area 51, did she...

"I have a question, have you ever tried to seduce me?"

Kuriho tilted her head and threw herself onto the bed. "I have, in Area 51, now, and I will every time I get the chance."

"Why?" Natasha questioned as if Kuriho's answer caused her physical pain.

"Because you're pretty and your reactions are cute of course."

"Are you like this with Adam or worse?"

Kuriho put a finger on his chin, it was clear that she was faking her gesture but her lewd grin was authentical.

"I'm far, far worse. You must have seen his face when I served him with my mo-"

"Please, don't."

Kuriho sat up and gestured for Natasha to sit beside her. She did it but almost facepalmed when she found herself admiring Kuriho's beauty.

"Don't be ashamed, I know that I'm irresistible. Now, we have to talk about something more pleasurable."

"No, no, no, no, I don't see you like that."

"What?"

"What?"

An awkward moment of silence followed.

"I was referring to your relationship with my future husband."

"Oh, that. What do you want to say?"

Kuriho crossed her legs and interlaced her fingers, her face was completely serious.

"You need to strengthen your bond with Jennifer."

"Eh?"

Of all things, she wasn't expecting that.

"Now that we are Adam's girlfriends we must get along."

A question mark appeared above Natasha's head, what was she talking about?

"Listen, none of us will be happy if we compete or fight for our boyfriend and he won't be happy neither."

"Okay, that makes sense."

"I'll help you become Jennifer's friend."

"Why?"

Kuriho stretched her limbs to release some stress before answering, it was surprising that no one knew about the kumihos, she knew that her race was almost extinct but it was disappointing anyways; her race condemned to oblivion.

Unless she does a lot of baby-making with her mate. She was looking forward to it.

"Well, Natasha, my race not just can absorb spiritual energy but we can feed on emotions as well. The most delicious are love and happiness."

"I see. With everyone happy around you-"

"My spiritual tummy is full."

"Well, I wouldn't like to be hated by Jennifer. Okay, you can help me."

"Good."

Natasha was about to finally take her bath when a question raised in her mind.

"Why do you help Adam to get more women? Isn't that make you jealous?"

Kuriho simply shrugged. "The more happy and enamored people the more I feed."

"Wh-"

"And seeing Adam with other women is so stimulating!"

"Oh."

Another awkward silence, at least with Adam she knew that they could talk about science.

"My fetishes aside, my mothers taught me to look for the welfare of everyone around me but mostly for the welfare of my beloved one."

"I didn't know you were an altruist."

Kuriho giggled half-flattered half-skeptical. She didn't consider herself an altruist, all the damage she has done indicated otherwise, even when most of the damage was done by her sister directly or indirectly. She despised her actions, her sister was always so selfish and saw humans as inferior beings.

"I'm not, I'm just trying to atone for my sins."

Her sister enjoyed not just killing and eating them, she found pleasure raping women and men alike, turning them into their slaves, driving them crazy after perpetrating horrifying actions under her influence.

One of the things that made Kuriho turn herself and her sister in, was the last sin she committed.

Made a mother kill and cook their children just to serve them to her husband as dinner. After that, her sister kept them as slaves until she got bored of them.

She absorbed their lives through intercourse and left the corpses in an old apartment.

That was the last time that Kuriho allowed such a thing. All the hope she had for her sister vanished right at that moment.

"You have done bad things as well. That something we have in common."

"I would ask but I know that recalling what we try to bury wouldn't be pleasant."

Natasha nodded and muttered "thank you" before heading to the bathroom.

Kuriho smiled, Natasha reminded her of her sister when she was young and innocent. She couldn't help her sister but she would make sure to help Natasha, keeping her from that road.

Blake smirked, her grandson was the vivid image of Ruby's cheerfulness. He was more Rose than she thought.

"And now the Empress told me that I have potential to become the Guardian of Kyoto."

"Hmmm."

Oh no, he knew that frown and thoughtful "Hmmmm". His grandmother was analyzing the situation and he braced himself for the incoming storm.

"Do you know that Empress Yasaka is married, right?"

"Come on, Auntie, I'm not-"

"What about Jennifer?"

"What?"

"I heard that you're surrounded by women."

"That's-"

"Are you a shameless womanizer?"

Adam was about to reply negatively but saw the smirk on her face, he had forgotten that his grandmother liked to mess with people from time to time.

"Not funny, auntie."

"But I know that you are indeed surrounded by women."

Adam blushed, he couldn't hide anything from his mother figures. How is he going to tell them about his three girlfriends?!

"That's..."

"You don't need to say anything, I know a few things and I will know the rest."

"Eeeh, I have a girlfriend!"

"The fox?"

While Blake's voice was calm, he had the hunch that she was upset. Did she disapprove of his relationship with Kuriho?

He nodded, there was no use in hiding it.

"I do hope that you're not letting your infatuation cloud your judgment."

"I am not."

"You're just letting your infatuation grow to use it as an emotional shackle to keep you in line."

"I must see your beloved."

"Well, about that..."

"What is it?"

Adam interlaced his fingers and rocked his body back and forth. "There's a detail that you don't know."

He panicked when Blake gave him her angry glare. "I'll tell you!"

Blake crossed her arms with a smirk, he hadn't changed too much. "Tell me."

"Tell me what are you doing here first."

"Fair enough."

The blond felt nervous, if she was there just to check on him then it would be hard to distract her but if she was there to just tell him something, there was a chance to distract her from the truth.

"I'm here to keep an eye on you, Ruby was worried."

"Worried? Why?"

"There are too many eyes on you. Eyes that aren't ours."

Adam crossed his arms, that was true and he was uncomfortable; so many people watching him every hour of the day. What a perverts!

"Adam, it's your turn now. What detail I don't know."

"Well, eeh, I have three girlfriends."

"..."

.

.

.

Adam rolled over his shoulder and concealed behind a tree. Serafall would be mad if she learned that he was wrecking Yasaka's garden.

"I see you, Adam Rose."

The blond cried out like a mandragora and started running for his life. He didn't expect his grandmother to react so violently.

"Hold up, I can explain!"

Adam ducked just in time to not receive a kick, judging by her speed and force, she wasn't going serious at all. One thing that he knew was that she was angry for keeping secrets from her, he had to find why that was so infuriating for her though.

How would his mother react?

HOW WOULD HIS MOTHER REACT?!

He had completely forgotten to call his mother, that wasn't good. Weiss will be so mad at him, and that meant a punishment.

A punishment that he knew was doing paperwork and studying the history of Remnant.

"There's no excuse, you haven't told us that you have a girlfriend."

"I'm sorry, auntie."

"..."

Adam raised his arms to surrender, Blake stopped her attacks and strapped her weapon on the back.

Adam took a moment to try to remember it.

Blake noticed her grandson's gaze and sighed, he was just like Ruby; they had a kind of lust for weapons. She shivered when she remembered that her friend had hundreds of weapons in her possession.

Just because she missed him, she obliged. "This is Gambol Shroud, a Variant Ballistic Chain Scythe."

"A WHAT?!"

Adam's excitement was stopped by a gesture from his grandmother. "We can talk about my weapon later. Now tell me what have you been doing these days and give me every detail."

"Well..."

After several minutes, Adam summarized what happened during his short time in Kyoto, he kept the fact that he and Kuriho had started to have "passionate nights". The thing that made Blake frown and increased her concern significantly was Adrien's words.

She had spent a lot of time with the Rose clan, they were firm believers of the way of bushido; they were philanthropists and pursuers of justice, but more importantly, they had a high sense of honor.

For this, Adrien basically was inviting Adam to a duel.

"I guess that you're not planning to let us handle the situation, right?"

"You know me well."

Adam crossed his arms and leaned on the nearest tree, it was time to get stronger and quit losing time. Curious choice of words.

His father and mother insisted that he was wasting time when he spent months without getting into university. He preferred to keep improving his skills and studying by himself than going to a place where instead of offering him knowledge offered him competition.

He submitted to his parents' will, even when he was a student of one of the best universities in the world, he wasn't too thrilled by the experience, and most of the time he did things automatically.

The only class that he really cared about was medicine, he liked the topic a lot.

Those memories were off-topic.

His goal was to defeat Adrien, and his father and stop whatever they were doing.

The main obstacle was his own weakness, he had to reach, no, surpass his brother's level in three months. Well, he liked challenges.

"Gregory, are you listening?"

"I'm sorry, auntie. I zoned out."

"I understand, you have a lot to think about. I was proposing something."

Adam nodded to show that he was paying attention.

"As you know, Ruby, Weiss, Yang, and I have mastered a specific element. I know how important is this for you and for the Rose; even if we try to keep you away you will just find a way to fight with Adrien."

Blake sighed, she was about to actively help him to fight against his own family,

"I will help you to train, I will convince the others to do it too."

"Really?"

"I'm serious."

"Thank you."

Adam felt a sudden burst of motivation. All the power he needed was in front of him.

Underworld.

Serafall appeared inside her castle, well, theoretically was Leviathan's castle but it was a long time ago.

She departed to Underworld immediately with the objective to find information about the rare energy she felt inside Adam. She felt familiar with it but wasn't quite sure why.

The servants and knights bowed before her presence, that wasn't something she especially enjoyed, a simple "Hello" or nod would be enough. Even some elite knights tended to kneel when she's on her throne.

Receiving such respect and admiration was incredibly tiring. Sometimes, she wanted to be just Serafall and not the Maou Leviathan.

Well, her new servant calling her "Mistress" or "My Lady" was an exception.

Before she even thought about it, her feet took her to her destination.

The entrance of the library looked exactly like the many others rooms of the castle (with exception of the bedrooms), an elegant victorian-like double door made of dark wood and iron.

The magical torches made a good job illuminating the hall so the doors were perfectly visible.

With a little push, she opened the doors and got in determined to satiate her curiosity.

The library was huge, built to be cylindrical, the shelves were tall enough to make a tall woman like Kuriho stretched her arm to touch the bottom of the third. A chandelier made of silver and torches illuminated the room with the magical fire they possessed.

By normal means, reaching many of the books was a tedious and hard task but since the shelves were magical it was enough with just saying the title of the book aloud for it to appear in your hands. Another method was writing the title on a piece of paper and press it against the shelves.

"Basics of the energy by Lilim, Demonic codex, Monster Girl Encyclopedia Tome 1 and 2."

The requested books appeared on a big circular table in the middle of the room. Serafall walked towards it and took a seat, it has been a while since she was decided to do some good old research.

The table had candles and lamps, pencils, scrolls (the ones made of paper not the device from Remnant), and notebooks. Serafall could just smirk proudly of the care that her servants had with their duties.

"Alright, let's start with magic."

Serafall spent hours reading about the energy, from touki to the divine energy possessed just by gods. It was good to brush up on her knowledge about the topic but that wasn't going to help Adam.

She took a moment to stretch her body before focusing her attention on the Demonic Codex.

It was a thin book with a black cover made of volcanic rock and a big circle on the front with a runic symbol that resembled the current devil language. Under the circle, smaller runs could be seen.

It was a strange anomaly, it looked like it just had ten pages but once you opened it and change pages, the extension of the book was far greater. It even had an index that indicated that the book had one thousand pages.

With the condition that the book would be brought back to her, she asked the Foundation for help. If someone had the slightest idea of what that book was it was them.

And the Foundation didn't let her down, they told him that the book was a codex of a race that identified itself as Demons.

None of the Three Biblical Factions nor the COG or the Foundation had an idea of what was the Demon race. Michael seemed to know something but he couldn't really remember with clarity.

Fortunately for her, the Foundation informed her that the book was a cognito...something. Basically, it connected to the mind of the reader and translated the words.

She happily shared some of the information with the rest of the biblical factions to show the goodwill of the Underworld. As the responsible for Foreign Affairs, it was her responsibility to keep the three factions on good terms and push the relations to new levels, and maybe reach coexistence.

The real question here was: How did Serafall acquire such a book?

She found it in the ruins of her Great-grandmother's palace, deep in the sea.

"You must have something about energy, something that we don't know."

After hours of reading and learning, she put the book aside.

What she read was something that felt alien yet pretty familiar to her.

It contained the history of demons, the story of the creation, all kinds of unknown magic, the biology of some of the most common demons. A lot of knowledge that was interesting and felt like belonged to her.

She will keep the book near her, she just wanted to finish it.

What she could find about the strange energy inside Adam's body was purely theoretical but by what the book says and she could deduce, then Adam wasn't what she thought.

The book had crystals imbued with the different kinds of magic/energy, Serafall sensed the same type of energy that she sensed within Adam.

The energy of Creation, the perfect mix of Light and Darkness.

The story about the creation and the information about its energy was a little extensive but the book said that mere mortals would perish if they happen to have contact with it.

Why Adam was alive then?

It looked like she had to question her servant and bodyguard.

"Lady Serafall?"

The Maou focused her attention on the entrance, what would one of her servants want?

Did he need the rest of the day off?

Were there problems outside the castle?

One of her elite knights got inside the library, in spite of wearing full armor she could almost see his concerned gaze.

The armor was silver with blue ornaments and her crest on the chest plate. It was there to indicate his loyalty to the current Maou Leviathan.

"Titus," she greeted. "What's going on?"

The knight straightened his posture, he lowered his head a bit. He was ashamed, how could he let an intruder get into the castle?

"My lady, there's an intruder. We must take you to safety."

Serafall tilted her head, that was unexpected, the last time that her knights had to deal with intruders was a funny situation. A lot of crazy fans wanted to wish her a happy birthday, and some of them wanted to feel her "Ice touch".

"I can take care of the intruder myself."

"This one is too dangerous, My Lady."

"Then I will take care of the intruder, I won't let any of you get hurt if I can avoid it."

The knight wanted to reply but he understood that it wasn't just her opinion but an order. If his ladyship wished him to stand down then he would.

"A wise choice and an honorable decision worthy of a leader."

Serafall bent her knees slightly and raised her fists to hip-high, the knight tried to unsheath his sword but his legs failed him.

He fell to his knees before the crushing aura that suddenly assaulted him.

"Apologies for breaking into your castle, I hope that this won't affect this brief meeting."

Serafall squinted, she was detecting a huge amount of elemental power coming from the man in front of her.

Speaking of the man, he looked like the older version of Adam. She had seen him before when Sirzechs showed her the holograms of the act of terrorism in the Underworld.

He was Adam's father?!

The menacing aura aside, he could kind of see why Adam liked to wear elegantly.

The man was wearing a red three-button vest, a black shirt, black jeans, and dark brown ankle boots. His blond hair was a little spiky and was slicked back and he had a full beard.

It seemed that Adam's destiny was being handsome.

"If you may be so kind to let my knight go I would be grateful."

"Of course, as long I can have a private talk with your ladyship."

She sensed the aura stopped its aggressivity, the knight stood up and unsheathed his sword. That man was dangerous and he had no idea of the intruder's intentions.

"Titus," called Serafall. "It's okay, leave us."

The knight hesitated but decided to obey; he looked at the man sideways before leaving.

The man closed the doors behind him and with a gesture asked Serafall to sit down where she had been sat minutes ago.

She accepted; if confrontation could be avoided she would avoid it.

The man took a seat in front of her, he interlaced his fingers and rested his elbows on the table.

"My name is Jonathan Rose, Adam's father. I know that he is your bodyguard and your current servant."

Serafall simply nodded. That man was dangerous, his way to talk was polite and calm yet she was sure that he was ready to use violence.

"I wish to discuss some matters with you."

"And what could they be?"

Jonathan moved his hands to his legs before answering the question.

"First of all, I am acting by my own accord, same with the members of my family that have followed me. We are not linked to the Rose family anymore, any reprisals shall be directed only to us and not the rest of the family."

"Fair enough."

"The next matter is concerning my son, a petition, it is understandable that you refuse."

"He is my servant now, I'll consider it before refusing it."

"It would be appreciated if my son is kept away from any interrogation or imprisonment. Only under the territory of your jurisdiction would be enough."

"I can't promise anything but since he is my servant I will try."

"Thank you."

Alright, that was the best moment to have answers. What should she ask?

"Why are you doing this, Jonathan?"

"What do you mean, your ladyship?"

Jonathan crossed his arms, he will answer but he doubted that she would understand his reasons.

"These last months, your acts of terrorism," she clarified.

The blond sighed before giving his answer.

"I'm doing what I must to protect humanity, not just humans but the supernatural beings as well."

"Why such extreme measures?"

"The time is running out, the god that is coming is relentless, sadic, a conqueror and destroyer. The threat might not be arriving in a decade or three but humanity must be ready to defend itself."

"Surrender then, if you do it now, I can convince the others to reduce your punishment-"

"I appreciate the noble gesture but I'm far from redemption and I already have crossed several lines. I cannot turn back now, I will fulfill my duty."

"..."

"Any last question before I take my leave?"

Serafall meditated about it, she had some questions but one in specific was shining over the rest.

"What do you have planned with Adam?"

"What a curious question. You surely concern about your servants or perhaps you're growing interested in my son."

"Could be."

"Well, he will need a lot of help to keep his humanity. Just try to be patient, he is broken."

Serafall couldn't block the sympathy that she felt for Jonathan. He sounded truly concerned for his son and for some reason he felt responsible for the security of humanity.

"My son must get stronger, he must be the ultimate guardian of humanity and the bane of its enemies. If he kills me and stops my plan, he would be a step closer to become what he is supposed to be since birth."

Before she could speak, he stood up and walked towards the door. "Farewell, Leviathan."

Serafall sprinted to catch him after he left the library, even with her super-speed all she could find was the empty hallway.

"What a curious family."

Illias Continent, another Universe.

Melanie happily hopped with her hands full of food and desserts. It seemed that the world had more than just religion and rapists.

She didn't bother hiding her cat ears and tails which made her unpopular in the only city in the region.

Illiasburg, the most faithful city in the world. It seemed that the architecture of the entire city was that of the 16th century of Melanie's world.

Most of the inhabitants were nice until they noticed her cat traits. After that, all of them either tried to get away from her or began to attend to her with nervousness.

Any attempt of violence was stopped by her brother's sheer presence. His cold gaze and katana were a good deterrence.

They departed from the city quickly and decided (actually, just Melanie) to go to Enrika village.

Now they were heading southwest where the village was supposed to be.

"Why Enrika village?" questioned Adrien. "What does it have that might interest you?"

Melanie put all of her food inside a magic circle. That was a question that she didn't know how to answer in a way that satisfies her brother.

"I don't know, there could be really cool things."

"Unlikely."

"There will be something, I can feel it in my tummy."

"That's just indigestion."

The siblings kept walking until the sun started to descend, it was better to rest than to keep going blindly of the risks.

Adrien hadn't encountered true enemies on the planet, no creature resulted in a challenge, and the entire race of Monster Girls was too clouded by the pleasure that the real battles were quite disappointing.

But he hadn't traveled that world and true enemies could appear.

"Alright, let's sleep here."

Adrien manipulated the roots beneath the soil to quickly develop them into trees that would serve as a shelter. Thick grass would serve as an improvised mattress.

"Feel free to sleep, sister. I'll take the first watch."

"Okay, don't get raped."

Melanie laid down and just took her a couple of minutes to fall asleep. Adrien decided to think about the future.

Those months will be a nice distraction from the inevitable.

He and his brother will fight each other and one of them will have to die.

Under other circumstances, the idea of fighting his brother to death would be inconceivable but after the vision and looking at the Great Old Ones he understood how insignificant was humanity in the universe, no, in the multiverse.

Humanity was far more irrelevant than that because there wasn't just a multiverse but dozens and dozens of them.

The wandsman that was captured by them kindly explained it but wasn't too happy for getting his map taken away.

"There you are, fella."

Speaking of the devil.

"I see that you have returned."

Next to Adrien, a kind of vulture landed. It was pretty similar to a California condor with the exception of having a feathered head and small claws hidden under the plumage of the tip of the wings. His size was almost that of an adult human.

"This world is quite interesting, it's very different in spite of being similar to Lilith's universe."

"Lilith?"

"Maybe we can make time to pay her a visit, her daughter, Druella, is a charm. Even when some of her actions might prove punishable to your standards."

Adrien looked at the scroll tied to one of the vulture's lower claws, as he lifted it with the intention to untied it with his beak.

"That won't be necessary, if that place is similar to this, I have no desire to visit it."

"I hope that you change your opinion, it's an interesting world."

"That's not of my concern, vulture. What useful information you have?"

The vulture's eyes opened wide, it was clear that he felt insulted.

"I am the Wanderer Scholar of the Astrals Plains."

"I don't care, it's an annoyingly long title."

"What do you suggest then? I can't give you my real name."

Adrien remained silent and scanned his surroundings. A name fitting for a bird that sought knowledge.

"I'll call you, Thot, then."

"That name sounds familiar. You can call me like that if my honorable title is too annoying."

Adrien looked at Thot and he understood what he wanted. "You don't need to look at me like that. This is what I found."

The white-haired young man already knew the geography of the world so he focused on others topics. The more knowledge about his surroundings the more odds to be alive.

The religion of the known world was focused and orbited around the Goddess of Light, Illias. It had rules that Adrien was not interested in.

The most important thing to know about the Goddess besides her xenophobia to monster girls; was the fact that she had an army of "angels" at her disposal and eyes and ears in many places with the objective of ensuring that her rules were followed.

A classical tyrant, why most deities had to be like that?

As there was a Goddess of Light, there was a Goddess of Darkness, Alipheese Fateburn I.

Thot had done an outstanding job interviewing a monster named Tamamo no Mae. She told him little details about the Goddess and the current position of the monster in the world.

First of all, there was a "monster lord" that was the supreme ruler of the monster kind. Her authority was absolute and disobeying a direct from her could result in execution.

The Monster Lord had 4 powerful monsters under her direct command, either Queen-class or just incredibly powerful, these four monsters were known as the Four Heavenly Knights. Currently, Tamamo no Mae was the only Heavenly Knight.

The monster kind was in a complex situation.

They required spiritual energy to survive, there were different ways to absorb it from humans or even other monsters but for some (wretch) reason they preferred sex to do so.

With humanity full of bias against monsters, mostly thanks to Illias, the monsters were forced to take that energy forcibly. In other words, monsters had to rape humans to survive.

Adrien knew that there must be ways to avoid rape but he won't interfere in that world.

As a curious fact, the gender of every monster and angel was female.

"Is that all?" Adrien inquired.

"Unless you want me to talk about the endangering species."

"No, and I doubt that our guests have any interest in it."

Thot looked around and above him, found the person who Adrien was talking about.

Three angels, with blonde hair and blue eyes, and a quite voluptuous figure. They were wearing a cyan uniform that was pretty similar to a one-piece swimsuit that showed their ample bust and they were also wearing white thigh-high boots.

Each one of them was holding different items: A whip, a duster, and a candelabrum.

"Okay, fella. This is my chance to interview them."

"They don't look friendly, Thot."

The angels seemed to have hostile intentions, Adrien had hopes of a good battle but the items that they were wielding indicated otherwise.

"You are the human who vandalized our Goddess statue. You must pay for your sin," declared Angel (A).

"We must punish you for the following two centuries," said Angel (B).

"If you accept it we will reduce your-"

"I don't care about your Goddess or your senseless punishment."

The angels looked very offended but Adrien knew by experience that they wouldn't attack properly, they will try to rape him.

"Just let's get this over with," Adrien said. "Do your worst."

He made appear his sheathed katana in his left hand, he wasn't even going to unsheath it; he will hit them with the white-as-ivory sheath and that was it.

Angel (A) attacked with her whip but Adrien sidestepped effortlessly and used the Wind to move at supersonic speed and impale her. He raised an eyebrow when his attack just trespassed on her.

"Naive sinner."

Adrien moved aside leaving a blur just in time to evade being touched by Angel (B) and her duster. It wasn't like he needed it but it was a reflex.

Thot had decided to take off and witness the fight from the sky.

"We are beings of light, earthlings like you can't touch us but we can touch you."

"Interesting."

The three angels tilted their heads, confused.

Adrien smirked and imbued his weapon with the power of Light, the angels seemed to notice it because they were shocked.

"How do you summon the light of our Goddess?" questioned Angel (C) in complete awe.

"Naive fool. The Light doesn't belong to your Goddess."

Adrien barely gave them time to raise their guards when he suddenly appeared in front of one of them. This time the scabbard successfully collided against the holy being's back. A small shockwave generated from the point of impact and a millisecond after, she flew like a missile against the nearest trees turning them into splinters.

Alright, he should have used his normal strength instead of the Earth. He didn't wish to kill any of them but they saw it coming.

The other two let panic take over and tried to shoot raw Light but Adrien already was in front of them.

The hilt hit one in the gut forcing her to fall to her knees. He grasped the hilt with his right hand, his dominant hand, and quickly "slap" the remaining angel across the face with enough force to send her rolling multiple times on the ground.

"Woah, they are women, fella. Thought you'd go easy on them," said Thot in a tone that showed his surprise.

Adrien spun his katana and made it disappear in sparks. "I'm not in the mood for harassment. I doubt that any of them is dead, this will serve them as a lesson."

The angel embracing her abdomen on the ground looked at Adrien with a mix of hatred and fear, her beliefs about the Goddess of Light just had been shaken and their enemy ended up being much more powerful than she and her fellows thought.

Now she and her sisters were at his mercy, he could kill them, rape them, turn them into his toys.

Adrien got closer to her, looking at her brought memories from the past. When he and his brother were in war zones they fought and often killed soldier children in order to survive.

During that period of time, they learned an important lesson: Sometimes, soldiers were too blind by their beliefs and loyalty and finished being cannon fodder.

The angel closed her eyes fearing the worst but instead, she felt his hand touching her shoulder and warm energy getting inside her and flowing.

She could stand up again, did he want her fully healed to rape her with all of his strength?

"Take your friends and leave."

The angel bowed totally terrified of wronging him somehow, as she turned around to look for her friend that flew like a missile, she heard Adrien's voice.

"Blind loyalty just makes you the perfect cannon fodder."
