I had a bad feeling when I walked downstairs the next morning. I couldn't help but wonder if Charlie had heard my screams last night? Charlie sat on the red bar stool, drinking his hot coffee.

What would you like to do today? I took the day off." I shot him a look. He had taken the day off for me? That was something new to me.

"Dad, you shouldn't have done that. I know that you're busy at work."

"No, not today. I called Jonson to take over for me. Just for today." I nodded my head. This was really nice but at the same time I dreaded the day.

"So, I know this place not far from here. La Push. I'm sure you remember the reservation?" He gave me a knowing look as if he already knew my answer.

"Yeah, of course I remember La Push. Jacob and his dad live there."

"That's right. How about a quick visit there?"

"Yeah, that sounds nice."

"Good, I will call Billy and let him know that we'll be there by 11."

"Right."

"About last night, I wanted to talk to you about what happened."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm your father, Bella. Don't you think I didn't notice your strange behavior?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You were screaming last night. Care to tell me why?" I shook my head. I didn't want to talk about it. Not with Charlie or anybody else.

"If your mother had something to do with it you can tell me. I'm here for you."

"I think you should call Billy now." Charlie let out a deep breath, standing up from his chair.

"Just know that you're save here with me in Forks." He left the kitchen when he realized that the conversation was over. I would never tell anybody about what had happened in Phoenix.
