He pulls back. "I kept it charged. I had completely forgotten about it until you were talking about this fella." He takes my free hand in his. "Do you have this guy's number?"

I nod. "I do."

"Please call him. You go meet him alone and then you can take Liam to see him tomorrow or he can come out here to meet him. It doesn't matter to me either way. If you guys are an item, though, I expect to meet him so that I can approve." I giggle.

"I will do that. I hope we can work something out. I will go call him now." He winks and nods at me to get outta here. I go out into the back yard and sit at the picnic table and I pull my wallet out and pull his card out of it while my phone is powering on. I take deep breaths to calm myself.

When my phone is finally all the way back on, I dial his number. I finally work up the courage to hit the call button. I put it up to my ear.

"Grey" he answers sounding irritated.

I gasp but quickly regain my composure. "This is Anastasia Steele and I need to speak with Christian Grey."

He gets quiet for a little bit but then he clears his own throat. "This is him. How can I help you, Miss Steele?"

I decide to lie a little so I can still surprise him. "I'm calling in regards to the whereabouts of Angie Smith, as you know her."

He gasps. "Do you have information for me?"

"Yes. I would like you to meet me in a couple of hours at the little café on 6th street."

"I can do that. How can I be sure that you aren't pulling some kind of prank on me?"

"You can bring security, but trust me, this is information that you will want. I am harmless."

"Okay. I will be there in 2 hours. Who should I look for?"

"I will be in all red. You can't miss me."

"See you there."

I hang up the phone and smile. This is going to be so much fun. I hope he is as excited to see me as I am of seeing him.

"I'm going to Seattle, Daddy. Do you have Liam?"

"I do, baby girl. I will see you when you return."

"I may stay the night at my apartment if it is too late whenever I am done."

"That's fine. I will see you in the morning. Take your phone with you and call Kate if it doesn't work out. I've talked to her several times over the years and she was really devastated about your death."

I smile sadly and I start to cry. "Hey, hey. No tears. It isn't your fault. Go have some fun now, young lady."

I shake it off and wipe away the tears. "I love you, Daddy."

"I love you, too, Annie."

I leave and head to Seattle. Whenever I arrive, I have a little time yet, so I go to a nearby boutique that is still open and I purchase a beautiful red dress with black heels and I get one of those red floppy hats and a big pair of sunglasses and a big purse so that it looks like I've got something for him.

After I pay, she allows me to change and I look amazing, if I do say so myself. I put my other clothes into a bag and I drive to the café and I put the sunglasses and floppy hat on and I walk into the café. I am sure that his security people are already watching me so I act as classy as possible.

I order myself a cup of tea and I have a seat at a table close to the back. I sit as classy as possible and I sit the bag up on the seat next to me. I sit and sip my tea. I look at my watch and realize he should be here at any time and I breathe deeply to calm my nerves. I hear the ding of the door. I happen to be facing away from it. Please be Christian. Suddenly, there's a gentle hand on my shoulder. "Anastasia?"

"Yes. Please have a seat."

He has a seat. "Why are you coming to me with this information? How do you even know if I know Angie?" he asks sounding perturbed. I look into his eyes, trying to gauge if it is the right time yet and I decide to throw caution to the wind.

I smile at him as I take off my hat and sunglasses and I look up into his eyes. "Because I thought you'd be happy to see me."

His mouth is open as he stares into my eyes, "How did you get here?"

"FBI brought me home." My smile starts to falter.

He reaches across the table and he rubs my cheek and I lean into his touch. "I've missed you." He almost whispers.

I start crying. "I've missed you, too." He stands up and he offers me a handkerchief.

"Clean up and I need you to come with me."

I wipe away my tears and put the handkerchief in my bag. I put the hat and sunglasses in there as well. I'm feeling discouraged until he offers me his hand. I look up at him and smile and grab my bag in one hand and his hand in the other. His eyes widen whenever he scans my body and I notice his erection straining against the fabric of his pants. He tries to hide it. He looks into my eyes and smiles genuinely and he wraps his arms around me and holds me for a little bit. I wrap my arms around him as well. His embrace feels so safe. He finally lets me go and he takes my hand and leads me outside. "Can we take your car?"

I nod. "Of course." I lead him to it, but he acts like he already knew which one was mine. He helps me in and goes around to the passenger side and he gets in himself. I go to buckle up, but he stops me and buckles me up himself and smirks at me. He buckles himself in and he sits with his hands on his lap.

"This is a nice car, Ana. Can I call you Ana?"

"Yes, and thank you. They bought it for me because they know that they were pains in my ass."

He chuckles. "Where are you staying here in Seattle?"

"I have an apartment at Escala."

He looks at me and his eyes widen. "You're full of surprises, Ana."

I smile. He doesn't know the half of it yet.

"Since I live in Escala as well, would you mind joining me there for some wine and you won't have to worry about driving after drinking?"

I smile at him. "It sounds delightful, Christian."

He smirks at me and looks as if he is contemplating something. "You want to drive, Miss Steele?" That's when I realize I'm still parked and staring at him and I start laughing.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Grey. I thought we were talking." He smiles back at me and winks. I lean over and kiss him sweetly and he accepts it and I turn around, start the car and drive back to Escala. He looks nervous as I drive. "Don't be nervous, Christian. I may have been out of the area for a while, but I still drove quite well."

"I trust you. I'm just not used to anyone other than Taylor driving me around." I nod and when I arrive at the parking garage, I let the attendant at the gate know who I am again and he opens the gate and lets me through.

Whenever I go to park in my parking spot, he stops me and guides me to his own parking spaces. Apparently, Mr. Grey owns a lot of cars. Once I park, I turn off the car, take off my seat belt and he tells me to stay there. He gets out and rushes around the car and he opens my door and takes my hand and helps me out. He kisses me sweetly as soon as I stand out of the car. I shut my door and use the fob to lock it as Christian walks me to the elevator.

Once we are in the elevator, he puts a code into a keypad above the other buttons and the elevator starts to go up. He takes my hand back and the sexual tension in the air is palpable. I sneek a peek up at him and see that he is staring at me. I turn towards him and he turns towards me. He wraps his arms around my waist and he leans down and kisses me sensually and I wrap my arms around his neck and run my fingers through his hair while eagerly reciprocating the kiss.

We remain in this embrace until the elevator dings and he pulls back and kisses my forehead before turning back towards the door like nothing happened. I decide to do the same. This is odd behavior, but I've been gone for 8 years so maybe he has some kind of valid reason to act the way that he is.

When the doors open he waves for me to go ahead of him into his foyer. He follows me out of the elevator and I lay my keys and phone on the table in the foyer. He offers his hand and he walks me through to a HUGE room, but the first thing I notice, is a man standing by the couches looking at us. "About time, man. I thought I was going to have to party all by myself." He says and then he stops whenever he notices me. "Who is this?"

Christian looks panicked but he quickly regains his composure. "This is my friend, Ana. Ana, this is my brother Elliot." He looks back at Elliot. "What are you doing here, Elliot?"

"This is your bachelor party, man. No women allowed, unless she is the entertainment for the night?"

I gasp. He is getting married. Crap. I'm too late. Why would he kiss me like that in the elevator if he is planning to get married though?

"No, Elliot! She is NOT the entertainment. Her and I just need to talk about something so I'm taking her to my office."

"Okay, man. I will be waiting. Don't be long."

"I will be as long as I need to be. No need to wait." Christian puts his hand on the small of my back and leads me through the room. He takes me into what must be his office and he closes and locks the door. "Have a seat on the couch." I nod and walk over to the couch and sit down. He walks behind his desk and picks up a bottle of bourbon and gets out a tumbler. "Do you want some?" he asks.

"No, thank you." I politely decline. He nods and pours himself a glass and he takes a drink and walks around and comes and sits beside me.

"I'm sorry, Ana. I didn't know when you would come back. I didn't know if you were coming back for that matter. I met Sasha and she looked like you. Her eyes were what caught me the most. She had blonde hair, which didn't appeal to me, but I could look past it. She wasn't submissive, but I offered to train her. She finally agreed and I convinced her to dye her hair chestnut brown and then when I looked at her, I saw you." He takes another drink of his bourbon, emptying the glass. He gets up and sets it on his desk and he comes back to sit beside me and he takes my hand in his and keeps talking.

"She stayed in the room I have set up for submissives. I can't sleep beside her. I have nightmares. I didn't have the nightmares whenever I slept beside you, though, for some reason. I slept the best in my life whenever you were in bed beside me. Anyways, after a year, she insisted I marry her or she was going to leave me, so I agreed to marry her. That was 6 months ago. I'm supposed to be marrying her in 2 months. I'm so sorry, Ana."

I'm crying silent tears at this point. I clear my throat and regain my composure and sit up straight. I look into his eyes. "Don't be sorry, Christian. I told you to move on. I didn't expect you to wait for me. I just held out hope that you and I could be something upon my return, so can we at least be friends?"

He gives me a sad smile and nods. I fight to hold back the tears and somehow succeed. "Can I meet with you tomorrow and we can catch up? I have a feeling that my brother is still out there and that he won't go away unless I drink with him."

I clear my throat again. "Yes. That works for me." There's a knock at the door.

He growls and shakes his head. He gets up and unlocks the door and opens it. "Someone's phone is going crazy in the foyer. I thought you would like to know." Shit.

Christian looks at me. "I better get it." I say and he nods and Elliot leaves the door and I get up and Christian lets me out of the door first and I rush to the foyer as fast as I can and find my ringing phone. I pick it up. I pick it up whenever I see that it is my Daddy. Of course it is my Daddy, because no one else knows that I am alive.

"Daddy?"

"Annie, can you come home? Liam got up a little bit ago and he is throwing up everywhere. I don't know what to do."

I gasp. "I will leave now. Give him a kiss on his head for me. I will be there as soon as I can get there."

"Okay, Annie. Drive safely."

"I will, Daddy. I love you. I will see you soon."

"I love you too."

I hang up and turn and Christian is standing a few feet away with a concerned look on his face. "Is everything okay?"

"No. I have to get back to my Dad's house. My s-" I stop myself. I haven't told him about Liam yet. Now just isn't a good time. "My nephew isn't feeling well."

He nods lightly. He approaches me and wraps his arms around me and I wrap my arms back around him. It feels so safe in his arms, but I guess it will never happen since he is getting married so I reluctantly let go. "I will see you soon, Ana." He says.

"I will see you soon, Christian." I smile at him and pick up my keys and he sees me off at the elevator with a sad smile. I start crying silently again in the elevator. When I get to the garage, I wipe away my tears and go and get into my car and I leave and head back to Montesano.

Whenever I arrive, I rush inside to find my Dad sitting on the couch. "Dad, where is he?"

"I got him back to bed. I figured out what may be the culprit."

I look at him questionably. "What is it?"

"When I was putting him back down, I found an empty candy bag with nothing but wrappers inside on the floor. Apparently, he got into Papa's stash and had too much."

I laugh, relieved and I put my purse and keys on the table. "I'm going to check on him and change and I will come sit with you for a little while until we can go to sleep."

He nods and I go upstairs and I check on Liam and he is fast asleep. I kiss him on his little face and I go and get changed into pajamas and I go back downstairs and sit with my Dad. He looks at me grinning. "So, what happened with the father?"

I sigh. "He is getting married." He frowns. "I will be okay with it, though, because I did tell him that he was free to move on. I understand."

"I'm sorry, baby girl. Did you get the chance to tell him about Liam?"

"No. I was going to, but then you called."

"I'm sorry, Annie."

"Don't be sorry, Daddy. I'm glad you called. I will just tell him tomorrow."

"Okay. I better go get some rest. Are you going home tomorrow?"

"Yes. I need to get this out of the way and get unpacked and settled in. We will visit as often as we can. You can come visit us as well and I can show you my new apartment."

"I'll hold you to that, Annie. I will come see your apartment in a couple of days after you are settled in. Go get some sleep yourself. You have another long drive in the morning."

"Yes, Daddy." I hug him and get up. "I will make us breakfast in the morning."

"I look forward to it."

I smile at him and he smiles back. I go upstairs and get into bed with Liam and go to sleep. In the morning, I get up and we eat breakfast together and Daddy sees us off and we head back to Seattle.

I park in my parking spot and I get my son out and we walk up to the elevator and get on. Whenever we get to my apartment, we spend the day unpacking and settling in until my phone rings. I pick it up and see that it is Christian so I answer it.

"Hello?"

"Hi, Ana. How are you today?"

"I'm good. I've just been unpacking all day. How are you?"

"I'm good, but I've been better. Are you home?"

"I am."

"Can I come down?"

I freeze. He will see Liam before I have a chance to explain him to Christian. Then I come up with an idea. "Can you come down around 8? I am having a late dinner."

"I can do that. Can you send me your floor and apartment number?"

"Yes. I will send them to you."

"I will see you at 8 then."

"See you then."

I hang up. I've got to get Liam to bed before 8. I send Christian the details about where we live and I spend the rest of the evening doing everything I can think of to wear Liam out. I make him a small meal and after he eats, I tuck him in with a kiss. "Good night, Liam. I love you."

"Good night, Mommy. I love you." I turn off his light and close his door and go get freshened up and dress is a light blue sundress. I put on some light makeup and decide not to wear shoes. I'm home and I just don't feel like wearing them.
