"Go ahead. We've got the kids." I nod and take off back to the deck and answer my phone on the way.

"Ana Grey."

"Ana, this is Miss Lisa." She says in a not so excited voice. This isn't going to be good. I can feel it.

"Hi, Miss Lisa. We've missed you. How have you been?"

"I've been good. We need to talk, Ana." She says in the same tone, filling me with dread.

"What's wrong, Lisa?"

"We need you to come to our Seattle office as soon as possible so we can talk in person."

"Why do I get the feeling that this is not going to be a talk that I will like?"

She sighs before answering. "It's certainly not great news. I will send you the address and I need you to come as soon as you can."

"Lisa, I'm in the middle of my children's birthday party. Can't this wait?"

"I'm sorry, but no. This is rather urgent. Can you leave the kids with someone you trust and come in immediately."

I sigh. "Okay. I will have my security bring me after I hug and kiss my children and have someone in the family keep them."

"Okay. I will send you that address and see you soon. I'm sorry to interrupt your day, Ana."

"I will be there soon." I say.

I hang up and take a deep breath and I go out and tell Grace that something urgent came up and I have no choice but to leave now. I ask if they can keep the kids here until I return and she agrees to keep them.

I give my children love and tell them that I will be back soon. I hope I will be back soon. I have Sawyer, who is finally back to working, take me to the address that Lisa sent me.

Whenever we arrive at the high rise building, Sawyer walks me up to their office. Whenever we arrive, I leave Sawyer at the door and take a deep breath before walking in the doors.

Whenever I enter the room, I am greeted by Lisa and 3 more agents. "Please, have a seat, Mrs. Grey."

I nod and have a seat across the table from them with my heart in my throat.

Miss Lisa starts talking first. "Mrs. Grey, I regret to inform you that we have received some bad news regarding the men that were involved in the attack and the mafia that they rebuilt."

This is when my worst fears are realized. They're putting me back into witness protection. The silent tears immediately start to fall. "What about them?"

She smiles sadly. "Well, since Jack Hyde, the man who stabbed you, was apprehended, we got him to start talking after months. He told us that the other men who were with him rebuilt the mafia in the area and that they were coming for you, but that he was being greedy and wanted you first. He told us the general area where they are located, and his story checked out. We couldn't prove that they had done anything yet so we couldn't arrest them because we need them to lead us to the big boss."

I'm sobbing at this point. "So what does this mean for me and my family?" I ask, already knowing and hating what the answer will be.

She sighs and slides the tissue box across the table and puts a hand lightly on my own. I look back up at her and she has an unreadable expression on her face, but her eyes show that she doesn't want to have to tell me this, but she starts to speak again. "It means that we have to put you into witness protection again. You can take your children with you." I gasp. I can't lose my husband again.

"What about my husband? I cannot do this without him."

She sighs. "He is pretty high profile so it will be more difficult to find a location where he is least likely to be recognize."

I stand up abruptly. "I will NOT leave my husband! I will stay here if he can't come. We have security. They can protect us."

"Ana, this is a much bigger threat than any amount of security can handle right now and if you remain here, they will find you just as Jack did. THIS is the only safe choice that you have at this point. As for your husband, we will work on that and see if we can work something out. He will probably be a target as well, considering that you're married to him and nearly everyone in the world knows it."

I sit back down and take another deep breath. "See that you work it out because, as I have said, I will NOT leave him behind."

"We will go out and see what we can do right now. Go ahead and make phone calls now. After we figure this out, we will start working on getting you and your family settled in somewhere." I nod reluctantly. I have to call my husband.

They nod back and walk out of the room, leaving me alone. I pull out my phone and hope that my husband agrees to this. I know that he has his work and that they need him, but I cannot lose him. I don't know if I would ever recover if I have to go as long as before without him. I don't know if our relationship would survive another separation. He has to be okay with me taking the kids as well.

I take a deep breath and I dial his number. It takes a little bit, but he finally answers.

"Grey"

I start crying again immediately. "Christian?" I manage to get out through my tears.

"Ana, what's wrong? Is it the kids?" He asks, the concern quite evident in his voice.

"No, the kids are fine. It's about us as a family."

"What is it, Ana? Are you leaving me?" he asks.

"No. At least I hope not. We need to talk."

"What is going on, Ana? You're scaring me."

I take a deep breath again. "It's about the men that were involved in the attack back at Portland. Apparently, they are alive as well and they have rebuilt their local mafia or whatever and they are after me and possibly our family."

I hear him audibly gasp. "What does this mean for us, Ana?"

"They want me to go back into witness protection. They said I can take the kids with me but I made them figure out a way so that you can come as well. I know that you have your work and I don't want to take you away from that, but Christian, I can't lose you again."

"Fuck!" he says and he is silent for a little bit. "We can do this together, Ana. I am with you and our family. I will put Ros in charge of GEH for as long as it takes. I can't lose you or the kids either so I'm doing this for you and them. We will be okay as long as we are together, right? Didn't you say that before?"

I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Yes. I did say that. Thank you so much for this, Christian. I love you so much!"

"I love you so much as well, Ana. We will find a way to make this work."

The agents come back into the room. "Christian, they just came back in. I need to see what they found out."

"Can you put me on speakerphone so that I know what's going on?"

"Hold on." I turn to the agents. "Can I put my husband on speakerphone so that he can be involved in what you have to say?"

Lisa finally smiles at me. "Yes. That sounds like a good idea." I nod and put Christian on speakerphone.

"Christian, you're on speakerphone now."

"Okay. Thank you, Ana."

"Hello, Mr. Grey. I regret that we have to speak for the first time under these circumstances, but we have found a solution for your family's placement."

"What is it?" he asks.

"We found a remote town where the people rarely watch the news or have any access to the news through other means. We cannot tell either of you the location yet until you arrive there. Does this work for you?"

"That works for me. Any place with my family is home."

"Great. As I'm sure you know, we will have to give you all new identities. We will work out all the details before we get you there."

"Okay. I'm in Taiwan at the moment, but I will head back to Seattle as soon as possible. Can you wait for me or do I need to meet with you whenever I arrive so that I can be transported there myself. Also, I'm wondering if just a few members of our staff can accompany us, just for extra protection. They can still dress and act as civilians, but it would just be more reassuring to have them near us as well."

"We can arrange that with your staff, but I'm afraid that we cannot wait to get your wife and kids sent out. You can meet with us and we will send you to her immediately. We will have your new identities all worked out by then and our agents can bring you up to speed on your new identity before you arrive there so that people in this small town don't question you whenever you arrive in a suit or something. We need to dress you in suitable clothing before your arrival."

"That works for me. Ana, are you okay with this?"

I nod, feeling relieved that we have worked something out. "Yes. I am very happy with this plan."

"Okay. I have to go and make arrangements to fly out immediately. I love you, Ana. We will be okay."

"I love you, too. See you soon."

"Give the kids my love and let them know that Daddy is coming home."

"I will."

"Talk to you whenever we get to you, baby."

"Talk to you then. Fly safe."

"Always. Laters."

"Laters, baby."

He hangs up and I pick up my phone and hold it to my chest.

"Okay, is your children's birthday party at your house?"

I shake my head. "No. It's at my in-laws home. Can I let them know what's going on?"

"I'm afraid not. The less people that know about this, the better. If they know, it will put them at risk as well."

I nod. I hate to leave my family behind without letting them know what is going on, but they are right. The men could use them to figure out where we are and probably hurt them, so I won't put them at risk. "Okay, what now?"

"We need you to go back to the party and act as if nothing is wrong and make an excuse to leave early and leave as soon as possible. We will wait for you at your home and we will get you packed up and take you to our jet. Since you're traveling with 2 children now, it is best to do it this way. We will land at a city far enough away so that no one asks questions and we will set you up with a vehicle and give you directions. We will give you all the information on your new identities on the flight. The only one of us going with you is me, but there will be other agents with us. Can you handle this?"

I nod. "I can. I will have Sawyer take me to the party and get to the house as soon as possible."

"Good. We will see you there." I nod.

I get up and leave the room and plaster on a smile. I can act normal, right? I tell Sawyer take me back to the manor. He nods and takes me. I'm nervous about this, but I can handle this with my husband by my side. I wish he was here with me now, but I know he will be with me soon.

Whenever we arrive, I take a deep breath before knocking. Grace answers and I greet her with a smile on my face. I let her know that I have to take the kids because I have another surprise for them and that it cannot wait. She is understanding, but whenever I tell the rest of the family, my Dad wants to come along to find out what it is. I tell him that I need them to see it alone first and that I will invite him over after they have some time to their selves with it. He finally accepts it. After telling everyone our goodbyes, we leave with Sawyer and head home. I look out the window on the way and silently cry so that the kids don't see it. I'm going to miss our family. I hate that I have to do this to my Dad again.

Whenever we arrive home, some agents, including Miss Lisa, are waiting for us. They tell me what we can and cannot take with us. We can't take much, apparently. I told the kids that we're going on a trip and that Daddy will meet us there within a few days and they are excited, especially Liam. Phoebe doesn't quite grasp what is going on yet.

While we're on the jet on the way to our destination. Miss Lisa pulls out some folders. There's one for each of us. She tells me to review them and to let her know if I have any questions. She is letting the kids keep their first names, but everything else is being changed. I will be Melissa Miller, 31, and I have to use a country accent. We are from Atlanta, Georgia and moved here because we wanted to get away from the pressures of life in Atlanta. We are going to be living in a small town that isn't even on the map in Ohio. The name of the town is Leopold. We are landing in Cleveland and driving about 50 miles to our new home. They are taking our phones and anything else that proves who we really are and giving us new phones, although, apparently, there's not great reception there. I will be working as a bartender in a small pub and they told me that my husband will be working there as a bouncer. I'm surprised that they would want a bouncer at a small pub, but I like the idea of having my husband nearby. They're taking my rather expensive engagement ring and replacing it with a much cheaper one so that no one's attention is drawn to it. I hate to be parted from this ring that Christian gave me, but I understand their reasoning.

Whenever we arrive in Cleveland, they have a car waiting for us. It's not as new as our car in Seattle, but apparently, we have to be simple people. It is a silver Ford Bronco. My Dad always called Fords 'fucked over rebuilt dodges'. I giggle imagining how my Dad would react to us driving a Ford.

They help me to buckle in the kids and tell me that they will keep in touch and that if they can't get through on our phones, they will pay us a visit. They set the address into the GPS and see us off. During our exhausting drive, I sing songs with the kids to keep us all occupied. Liam asks a lot of questions about why we're in a car like this and have to dress this way, but I just tell him that we're having a little vacation out in the country and we have to be dressed like this because this is how other people dress where we're going and that seems to placate him.

When we arrive at the town, we find that they weren't lying about this town being small. There's only one street that runs through it. We see everyone wearing clothes like ours and they all seem to be staring at us as we drive by. I just smile and wave and have Liam do the same.

When we arrive at the address specified, I find that we will be living on a farm with a fairly long driveway about 3 miles out of town. In the distance, I see a beautiful, fairly large house with a wrap around porch with rocking chairs sitting on it. We pull up and get the kids out and I get them into the house and I come back out and grab our luggage, filled with our country style clothes, and bring them in as Liam keeps his sister occupied. Once we get settled in, I take the kids and we walk around the property. Liam is really excited to find that there's horses out here. I'm not sure if they are ours to use at our disposal, but I'm sure someone will tell me soon.

There's also a field full of crops. I wonder if we're supposed to take care of this. I've never had to deal with crops before. We find a swing set in the back yard as well. Liam likes the idea of this as well. We go back to the house and I find that it's stocked with food so I send Liam and Phoebe to Liam's room together so that they can play while I cook. Liam takes his little sister's hand and guides her to his room.

After cooking. I have the kids washed up and we enjoy a meal together and Liam and I talk. Phoebe can say quite a few words now, but she can't speak sentences yet, so she's not a very good conversationalist, but she throws in words every now and then.

After dinner, I give the kids baths and put them to bed. We've all had an exhausting day so once they are down, I go to bed myself and fall asleep pretty quickly.

It's been 3 days since we arrived and Liam, Phoebe and I have been adjusting to country life quite well. I'm not sure why my husband isn't here yet, but it's making me nervous that he's still not here.

We haven't left our property yet, but I want to wait for Christian arrives before we introduce ourselves to the locals. I've been practicing my accent and helping Liam to as well. I told him that we're going to play another game while we're here. I know that if we don't play this game, he will go around telling people that his name is Liam Grey.

I told him that while we are here, his name is Liam Miller. I told him that I need him to tell anyone that asks that Miller is his last name. I said that it's so that people will think that we're different people from somewhere else. He asked a lot of questions at first, but he finally agreed to play along. I did have to promise him a pony for whenever we get home, but it's worth it. I can't risk him outing us to anyone or they will move us again. Apparently, the FBI somehow manages to keep close tabs on people in witness protection. I found that out the last time.

I still don't have a babysitter for the kids, but I want them to send someone to me because I'm still nervous about keeping ourselves from accidentally calling each other by our real names, even in the privacy of our own home.
