I am swooning. I close and lock the door and I go to check on all the kids, who are safely tucked in bed sleeping and I kiss them on their foreheads and go to bed myself. I take a refreshing bath and reminisce about my amazing night with Christian. After I get out of the bath, I put on a nightie and panties and I lay down and drift off to sleep and have sweet dreams about my boyfriend.
It's Wednesday evening and I'm preparing a meal for the Greys and my Daddy. He doesn't always come to these meals, but he is already here tonight. By the time the meal is prepared, I come back out in the family room to find that everyone but Christian has arrived. Whenever he came over to spend time with us yesterday, we decided that he'd come in late and we could surprise the family together.
I welcome every body and thank them for coming over. "My boyfriend will be joining us tonight. The meal is ready, but I'd like to wait for him to arrive."
Everyone but Kate looks surprised, but Kate looks extremely excited to finally meet the boyfriend.
We're all sitting and talking while drinking wine or beer whenever there's a knock on the door. "That must be him. I'll be right back." I excuse myself and go to answer the door. Whenever I open the door, there he stands, in all his glory, dressed to the nines. "You look more handsome than usual tonight." I tell him.
"You look quite stunning yourself, Ms. Grey." He says. I step out of the way and let him in.
Whenever I close the door, he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me up against his firm body and he kisses me sweetly. "Are you ready?"
He nods. "I am. Are you?"
"I am." I say with a smile. I pull back and take his hand and guide him into the family room and everyone falls silent. "Everyone, you know my boyfriend?" I see tears in Grace's eyes and everyone else looks happy for us.
Christian greets everyone and we go to eat our dinner before it gets cold. I let Christian sit at the head of the table and I sit beside him after bringing out our meal. Everyone else has a seat and we eat and talk casually. "So, how long has this been going on?" Grace asks.
I smile. "Since the evening before the birthday party. Not long." I reply while looking at Christian lovingly.
"I came over to talk to her and finally told her how much I missed her and she expressed that she missed me as well. We've both put in the work over the past 3 years and have gotten to know ourselves better and worked through our past problems and we've practically been inseparable since. We are taking it slow this time, though, for the most part." Christian adds.
"Well, I'm happy for you. You both look much happier than I've ever seen you together before." Grace says. Everyone nods in agreement.
We continue to talk and eat while drinking our wine. The kids are having juice. Once we're all finished eating, we retreat back into the family room and we all talk for a little while longer before every one gives us hugs and expresses how happy they are for us as they leave.
Once we're home alone with the kids, they take baths and get dressed in their pajamas and we put them to bed. "I'm going to clean up."
"Do you mind if I help?" Christian asks.
"I don't mind that at all. Let's go get to work." I take his hand and we head down and clean up. Once we're done, we sit down for another glass of wine. "Do you need to go home tonight, or would you like to stay with us?"
He gives me his best panty dropping smile. "I guess I could stay tonight, if you're sure."
I smile back. "Oh, I'm certain, Mr. Grey." I take his wine glass from him and set both of our glasses on the table. I take his hand and stand. He stands with me. I walk him up the stairs and to the bedroom. We close and lock the door and we spend hours making love and fucking before we fall asleep, safe and sated, in one another's arms.
It's now Friday and I'm at work going through a new and very intriguing manuscript. This one has me on the edge of my seat and I cannot wait to see the future chapters from the author.
It's almost lunch time and today, I'm meeting Ethan for a friendly lunch. Christian still isn't too thrilled about it, but he trusts me and if I learned anything from my experiences with Gideon, I will NOT let him get away with so much as touching me. If he even begins speaking inappropriately, I will have Gibson get me out of there.
We're meeting at the café across from GP. Whenever Gibson and I arrive, I spot Ethan from across the room. He stands up whenever he sees me. "Gibson, stay close. If he tries to be inappropriate, I want to get out immediately. Okay?"
"Yes, Ms. Grey." I look at him.
"How many times do I have to ask you to call me Ana?"
"Sorry, Ana. Old habits." I nod and approach Ethan. He gives me a hug and we have a seat.
"How have you been, Ana? You look great." Ethan says.
I smile courteously. "I am fantastic actually. How about you?"
He lets out a long sigh and looks out the window. "Not great. I've been looking forward to this lunch with you all week so I can't complain. It could be worse."
I smile. "Well, you seem to be doing okay. Been doing anything interesting lately?"
"I work a LOT, so not really. Just work and home mostly. I spend some time with Kate, Elliot and Ava from time to time."
"If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for work?" I ask.
"I don't mind at all. I'm a therapist. I have a lot of clients and sometimes I get called out in the middle of the night. I do love my job, but it's exhausting and I hate always having to come home to an empty bed."
"I'm sorry to hear that. I'm happy that you love your job, though."
The waitress finally comes to take our orders. Once she leaves, we start talking again.
Once we get our food and start eating, he surprises me. "Ana, do you mind if I ask you a question?"
I look at him questionably. "Sure."
"I would like to ask you on a real date, Ana. I'd like to get to know you and see if maybe we can be more than friends."
"Ethan, I'm sorry, but I'm already dating someone." I tell him immediately.
"Well, if you weren't dating someone would you consider it?"
"I don't know. Possibly?" I reply.
He nods looking discouraged. We continue to eat. "Ana, I don't have a lot to offer you. I can't give you the things that Christian gave you whenever you were married, but I'd like the chance to see if I could make you happy."
"Ethan, I said that I can't. I'm very happy with my boyfriend."
He sighs again and looks into my eyes. "You won't agree to even one date?" he asks.
I smile and shake my head. "Sorry, but no. I've got to get back to work, but I hope that you can find someone to keep your bed occupied for you."
I get up and put a tip on the table. He looks like he wants to say something, but he doesn't after he glances back at Gibson. He stands and hugs me again, but he lingers for way too long this time, so I back out of it. "I'll see you around, Ethan."
He nods reluctantly. "You will."
I go back to Gibson and he gets me out of there. Ethan was starting to creep me out. I go back to work and do my job for the rest of the day, but my mind doesn't wander far from that odd lunch with Ethan. And his 'you will.' Seemed a bit ominous. I don't think I need to worry about him, though. He seems harmless enough.
Whenever I get home, I'm surprised to find a bouquet of flowers in the foyer. I smell the beautiful roses and I take the card out of it and open the little envelope. I take the card out and read it, thinking that it's from my boyfriend, but it isn't.
Ana,
I'm sorry if I behaved inappropriately at lunch. I didn't mean to spook you. Please forgive me.
Ethan xoxo
What the fuck? Xoxo? Nope. I'm never going to see him again. I put the card on the table next to the vase. I need to show it to Christian and then I will probably throw it out. I don't feel comfortable accepting anything like this from Ethan.
Whenever Christian arrives, I let him in and he immediately spots the roses. "Who are those from?"
"Ethan." I say, rolling my eyes. I pick up the card and hand it to him. "I planned to throw them out, but I wanted to show you first. No secrets, Mr. Grey."
He looks pissed after reading the card. "How was he inappropriate, Ana?"
"He kept asking me to go on a date with him and give me a chance. Then, I got up to leave and he gave me a hug, but lingered way too long, so I backed out and told him that I'd see him around. He replied with, 'you will.' I found it creepy. I got bad vibes off of him."
"You did the right thing. I will take care of these for you whenever I leave. How was your day other than that?"
I tell him about the amazing manuscript that I've been editing. "Do you want to go spend time with the kids while I go cook us up some dinner?"
He nods. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me flush up against his firm body. He leans down and gives me a passionate kiss. "I just wanted to do that first." He says. I smile and kiss him sweetly. I go to the kitchen and he goes out to spend time with the kids, who are brushing their horses, under the supervision of the nanny.
After we all eat dinner together, we enjoy talking with the kids about their days before we put them to bed. "Would you like to join me for a glass of wine before you go home?" I ask Christian.
"I'd love to, but I have something that requires my attention. I will see you again tomorrow for our day date. Is that okay?"
I smile. "That works. Let me walk you out. Don't forget to take the creep roses." He smiles.
He leans down and kisses me sweetly and he holds my hand as we walk down the stairs together. He gives me a passionate kiss in the foyer before picking up the roses. "I will see you in the morning, Ana. I love you."
"I love you, too, Christian. I can't wait."
"Just wear blue jeans and a t-shirt. It's going to be a casual outing."
I nod. "Yes, sir." I lean up and kiss him sweetly one more time. "See you tomorrow morning." He winks at me and walks out of the front door. I wonder what that man has planned for tomorrow.
I go up to bed and put on my nightie and go to sleep myself. Apparently, I have to get up early.
The next day, Christian comes and gets me early. He takes me out on a glider and it is breath taking. Afterwards, we have pizza at a small restaurant on the beach and then we stroll along the beach. After that, we go home and get dressed and he takes me back to the Mile High Club. He ends up spending the night with me and we have an exceptional night filled with sexual shenanigans.
It's been 3 months since Christian and I started dating again. It has been extraordinary. It only took the media about 3 weeks to catch that we were back together and Christian put out a press release confirming it.
Over the last 3 months, the kids started summer break. Christian spends more and more time with us. The kids absolutely love that we are finally back together. They have all been doing great. In just 3 more months, Phoebe will be 8 and Liam will be 12. He's so close to being a teenager that it frightens me. I just hope that he doesn't give us a hard time as a teenager.
I finally caved and invited Mia to a lunch at the same café where I met Ethan months ago. She apologized profusely and she is genuinely remorseful so I've agreed to slowly integrate her back into the children's lives. She has been great so far, but it will be a while before I can fully trust her alone with the kids again. Christian is happy that we finally made up.
I have gotten more flowers with apologies from Ethan over the last 3 months, so Christian takes them all back to him, apparently. He doesn't know how to take a hint, but I still believe he is harmless so I'm not worried about another Gideon situation. I thought Gideon was harmless as well, so maybe I should worry, just a little.
I've recently decided that, since Christian is here more than he's at home, that I want to ask him to move home with us. We've been dating for 3 months so I don't think that it's too early for that. I'm trying to figure out an elaborate way to ask him and I'm stumped. I talked to Kate about it and she suggested I do a homecoming proposal like high school kids do to ask someone to be their date to homecoming. I am considering it. I think it has potential to be a lot of fun. It's kind of cheesy, but I can really work with an adult version of the theme.
Last week, I started planning something. I am leaving the kids with the nanny and my dad and telling Christian that I've got to go out of town to meet with a potential new author. He says he will miss me, but that he will see me whenever I return. I'm flying out to Aspen on a commercial airline to set up a homecoming proposal that he won't soon forget. I've contacted Mr. Dansby, who did business with him in Aspen and he has agreed to set up a business meeting with Christian that will not be happening. Instead, Christian will find me waiting for him.
Christian just notified me a few days ago that he has to go to Aspen for business and I feigned how much I would miss him and wished him luck in his business dealings. I want to reenact our first night together here all those years ago. The night that Liam was created. It's hard to believe that it's been almost 13 years since that night. It's still fresh in my memory.
I pack up some stuff to last me a few days and say goodbye to my dad and the kids. Whenever Gibson and I arrive in Aspen, we go in and I begin preparations. Christian should be here tomorrow sometime. He never said exactly when he was flying in, but I hope that he likes what I have planned.
Once everything is set up, I have a glass of wine before taking a bath in Christian's exquisite tub here. I get out and after I'm dry, I put on my nightie.
I wake in the morning, excited for the day. I decide that I need to call Christian and ask him to call me as soon as he lands in Aspen. I just tell him that I'm worried and I just need to know when he's safely back on the ground.
"Grey." He answers, sounding terse.
"Hello, Mr. Grey. This is Anastasia Grey. How is your day going so far?"
"Not too badly. I think I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I just don't like the idea that I won't get to see you or the kids for 3 days. I will miss you."
"I already miss you, too, Mr. Grey."
"How's New York?"
"UGH. Boring. I wish you were here."
"Me, too, baby. I can just imagine having you all to myself for a few days. I better stop thinking like that, though. I don't want to board the jet with a boner."
I giggle. "I love you. Have a safe trip and call me whenever you land. You know I worry."
"I will, baby. I'll call as soon as we touch the ground. I have to go now, but try to have a good weekend. I love and miss you."
"Okay. Fly safe." I tell him.
"I will, baby. Laters." He hangs up. I cannot wait to see him.
I go and make myself some breakfast and sit at the breakfast counter and eat. I clean up and go take a shower and get dressed in my sexy new dress with matching heels.
