Chapter 2
Anzio was lost in thought thinking what to should be his next move. If I remember correctly a lot of our NPCs are quite evil or sadistic.. well most of the guild did roleplay as villains.. I don't feel as a villain though.. I think my mentallity didn't change since I came here.. even though I feel slightly different due to my racial traits and skills my mind and sense of morality is still very… human. Well it seems that if you combine the mind of an angel and a demon you get your average human mind when it comes to morality. Or maybe it's my karma values ?
Anzio snapped out of his thoughts when he noticed a gate open and a petite pale girl in an expensive victorian era dress with an umbrella step through.
„Ara am I really the first ?" Shalltear giggled as she noticed Anzio and flung herself at him. „Oh Lord Anzio, the one man I can't rule above, one of the most beautiful Supreme Beings second only to Lord Momonga !" Shalltear hugged him and rubbed herself against Anzio's body which made Anzio very uncomfortable as he was taken aback and blushing.
„Shalltear why don't you give it a rest, you're making Lord Anzio uncomfortable !" Aura reprimanded the True Vampire.
„Oh little shorty, you were here." Shalltear glared at her.
„Fake boobs." Aura mumbled loud enough for Anzio and Shalltear to hear.
Shalltear was taken aback putting a hand over her chest clearly shocked the shorty figured out her secret and spilled it in front of Lord Anzio. Shalltear slowly turned around to look at Anzio's expression.
Anzio was shocked to find out Shalltear padded her chest. Well Peroroncino-senpai was a pervert.. probably a lolicon to so I'm not too surprised to find out Shalltear was flat but still why did she just fling herself at me as soon as she saw me.
Aura and Shalltear were bickering like siblings often would which reminded Anzio of Bukubukuchagama and Peroroncino because they used to bicker in the same exact way. Anzio was about to tell them to stop but then he heard a deep voice say something.
„Knock. It. Off. You. Two. Are. In. The. Presence. Of. A. Supreme. Being." A giant blue insect with four arms spoke. In one of thoose arms he was holding a halberd.
„Cocytus you came." Anzio smiled relieved someone else defused the situation.
„I. Will. Always. Answer. To. The. Calls. Of. The. Supreme. Ones." Cocytus answered.
Well he sounds really loyal. That's good. Hmm while waiting for the others let me try if I could reach someone I know with Message.
[Message]
Anzio waited for someone to answer and when it seemed no one would the voice of Sebas broke the silence.
(How may I be of assistance my Lord ?) Sebas asked.
(Sebas are you done with the scouting ?) Anzio asked nervously.
(Yes my Lord, we are heading back right now.) Sebas reassured him.
(Good.. did you run into any trouble ?" Anzio asked.
(No, my lord however our situation is peculiar.) Sebas responded.
(Good job, come to the amphitheater on the 6th floor and give your report there.) Anzio ordered.
(Understood my Lord.) Sebas spoke and Anzio ended the message.
Anzio smiled as he saw Albedo and Demiurge enter. All of the guardians besides Victim and Gargantua were present.
„Thank you all for gathering here on such short notice." Anzio thanked them. I should be polite, they are acting as my subordinates and the best way to keep them loyal is to be nice to them.
„Your thanks are wasted upon us my Lord we were created by the Supreme Beings to serve them, not to answer when called is blasphemy." Demiurge spoke as all guardians nodded in agreement.
Wow… I didn't expect them to be that extreme… Demiurge kneeling is so cool with his hand on his heart and everything.. Ulbert really did design a cool NPC. Anzio admired all of the NPCs and their creators but when he was younger the chuunibyou Ulbert was really cool in Anzio's eyes.
„Now guardians, let us do our pledge of loyalty." Albedo smiled as in order the guardians began introducing themselves and kneeling.
„Shalltear Bloodfallen guardian of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor of Nazarick pledges her undying loyalty to the Supreme One." Shalltear spoke passionately.
„Cocytus. Guardian. Of. The. 5th. Floor. Of. Nazarick. Pledges. His. Undying. Loyalty. To. The. Supreme. One."
„Aura Bella Fiora, guardian of the 6th floor of Nazarcik pledges her undying loyalty to the Supreme One."
„Mare Bello Fiore, guardian of the 6th floor of Nazarcik pledges his undying loyalty to the Supreme One."
„Demiurge, guardian of the 7th floor of Nazarick pledges his undying loyalty to the Supreme One."
„Albedo, the guardian overseer pledges her undying loyalty to the Supreme One. Besides Victim and Gargantua all the guardians have pledged their loyalty to you Lord Anzio."
Wow that was so cool… ok Anzio keep your composure, you have to respond to this pledge somehow..
„Excellent ! You said my thanks are wasted upon you but how could I not thank such great and loyal subordinate." Anzio smiled at them. „I believe you will acomplish your tasks without fail." Anzio figured they would like this reply and judging from the smiles of the guardians they did. Anzio looked to his left and saw Sebas waiting nearby. When Anzio looked at Sebas the butler of steel bowed.
„Now everyone Nazarick has found itself in a peculiar situation, I sent Sebas to scout the area around the Great Tomb and he will now report his findings." Anzio gestured for Sebas to step closer.
„Thank you Lord Anzio, Narberal Gamma and I have scouted the 10 kilometer perimiter around Nazarick and found no sentient life forms." Sebas spoke evenly and calmly. „However.. the Great Tomb isn't surrounded by a swamp but by grasslands."
„Grasslands huh.. well it is safe to assume we got transported somewhere, possibly to another world." Anzio spoke thinking out loud.
The guardians looked at him in anticipation.
„Uhm.. Overseer Albedo and Defensive commander Demiurge establish a stronger communication system to connect all of the floors. Mare can you conceal Nazarick in any way ?"
„U-uhm with i-ilusions it may be hard... but i-if you allowed me to cover the walls with soil and vegetation I could do it." Mare spoke shyly
„You would smear the glorious walls of Nazarick with dirt ?" Albedo spoke the judgement in her voice as sharp as daggers.
„Albedo don't make unnecesary remarks. The safety of the tomb is more important than some walls." Anzio reprimanded her. I hope I wasn't too harsh.. Albedo is scary when angry.
Albedo apologized quickly but Anzio looked at Sebas. „Were there any hills around us ?"
„No my lord we were surrounded by flatlands." Sebas replied.
„Hmm Mare.. make some dummy hills around the area. One hill would draw too much attention by itself." Anzio decided.
„Now, one more thing I want to ask all of you.. who am I in your eyes, how do you see me." Anzio hoped they would understand his question and that everyone would answer differently.
„The crystalization of beauty, one of the most beautiful and powerfull Supreme Beings." Shalltear spoke.
„One. Of. The. Strongest. Supreme. Beings. Since. You. Were. Trained. By. Lord. Warrior. Takemikazuchi. And Lord Touch Me. You are a powerfull warrior." Cocytus spoke.
„A really kind person." Both twins said the same.
„One of the wisest Supreme Being, truly a worthy heir of Lord Momonga, you make decisions and act upon them efficiently." Demiurge spoke.
„The merciful Lord who stayed behind with us untill the end, a man worthy to lead all of us." Albedo spoke full of passion.
„A kind person and a man of greatness whose judgement is always correct." Sebas spoke.
„Thank you all of you." Anzio's eyebrow twitched a bit by their confessions.
„Now please get to work." Anzio smiled and teleported away to his room with the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown.
He jumped on bed and lay down. What the hell is wrong with them ? Their glorious views of me don't sound like me at all.. well I do try to be kind but everything else.. really ?! Anzio sighed and drifted to sleep. He couldn't get tired but he could still sleep. His mind needed a good rest.
Anzio yawned as he slowly woke up. He opened his eyes confused where he was for a second. Oh yeah.. it wasn't a dream.. I really am in Nazarick. He sensed a pair of eyes focused on him. He looked around and noticed a maid sitting in a chair watching Anzio's every move.
„Good morning Lord Anzio." The blonde maid smiled at him as she stood up. „How may I be of service ?" She asked politely and bowed down.
„Uhh Cixous.. good morning.. what are you doing in my room..?" Anzio asked nervously.
„You know the name of someone as lowly as me ?!" Cixous was shocked for a moment but then remembered her Lord asked her a question. „Lady Albedo setup a schedule and said you should have at least one maid serving you at any given moment." Cixous smiled.
„Oh.. alright.. so you have to watch me.. even when I sleep ?" Anzio still couldn't believe it.
„Yes ofcourse, we have to be by your side at any given moment, if no one were here who would make sure all your needs are met." Cixous smiled glad she was having the chance to talk to her Lord.
„Uhmm ok.. well it seems I fell asleep in my god level clothes so… I could use a shower or a bath.." Anzio stood up.
Cixous opened the door to his bathroom which was connected to his room. Anzio stepped inside but to his shock Cixous followed him. „Uh Cixous.. I can wash myself you know.." He laughed nervously.
„But it is a maid's duty to undress and bathe her Lord." Cixous protested.
Undress… bathe ?! A maid doing all that to me…?!
„Cixous.. uhh please I'd really like to have some privacy." Anzio was really nervous now.
Cixous looked at him with a saddened look. „As you wish my lord. I will wait for you in front of the door so you may call upon me if you need anything." She stepped outside.
Why does she look so sad..? I just gave her one less thing to worry about.. Well it really did pain my heart to see her sad like that.
Anzio undressed and hopped into the shower.
„Wow.. I never had such a good shower in the old world.." Anzio looked at himsef the mirror. „This body looks amazing.. I am not too skinny and not too muscular but I have a decent amount of muscles.. I was way too skinny in the old world."
Hmm how should I make Cixous happy.. well if I had underwear on I could let her dress me if she really likes doing that. I will suffer through it if it makes her happy. Anzio decided and put on some underwear and stepped out of the bathroom.
„Uhmm Cixous could you help me put these clothes on ?" Anzio asked nervously but when he looked at her it seemed like her eyes sparkled with excitement. „Ofcourse what would you wish to wear ?" Cixous asked
„Well theese clothes I am holding right now.. they are god-level items and I plan to step outside of the tomb today so that would be the safest thing to wear.
Cixous nodded and a flash of worry appeared on her face but it was gone a second later as she helped him put all of his clothes on. She stopped when she noticed two scar like marks on his back One was shining a warm light while the other was shining like a dark infernal flame. „My Lord what gave you such injuries ?" She asked in a worried tone.
„Oh that.. that's where my wings appear.. I have an ability to conceal them like that.. wanna see ?" Anzio smiled at her.
„I don't know if I'm worthy of such an honor." Cixous replied shyly.
„Oh ofcourse you are they're just wings." Anzio smiled as his wings appeared. One wing was that of an angel covered in white feathers radiating hope while the other was pitch black full of malice with dark feathers barely visible.
Cixous stared in amazement… she found her Lord's wings the most beautiful things in the world. Anzio retracted them and Cixous snapped out of it and finished dressing her Lord.
„Thank you Cixous. Now could I get something to eat ?" Anzio asked her politely. He didn't need to eat but he wanted to taste some food since he lived mostly off of 1 minute noodles or some rations.
„Ofcourse my Lord, anything in particular you'd like ?" Cixous asked.
„Hmm well since it's breakfast.. how about some pancakes.. bacon and an omelette." Anzio decided.
„Very well I shall relay that to the head chef, where would you like to eat my Lord ?"
„Hmm I'll eat in the caffeteria.. I could chat with some of the inhabitants of the tomb there.. it's lonely to eat alone." Anzio smiled at her. Since his parents were working almost constantly he couldn't remember when was the last time they had a good family meal. „We'll eat like one big family, I'll call in the guardians and the Pleiades too !" Anzio decided as he went on to message Pestonya.
[Message]
(Hey Pestonya, could you arrange the tables in the caffeteria so we could all sit around one big table ? I plan on having breakfast with the guardians, Pleiades and the regular maids.)
(Understood, I'll notify the kitchen and we'll rearrange the tables.. Er.. woof !)
Anzio ended the message and went on to notify all the guardians.
(Don't worry Demiurge I'll summon my angels and demons to watch over the floors while we eat.) Anzio reassured him as he used his super tier summoning spells and gave the angels and demons orders.
He walked to the caffeteria happily. When he entered the homunculus maids all bowed down unsure what they did to earn such an honor of dining at the same table as their Lord. Yuri Alpha lead him to his chair at the head of the table as he smiled and sat down.
„Thank you all for coming." Anzio spoke and as soon as thoose words left his mouth the maids and guardians gasped in shock. Why would a Supreme Being thank them.. they were undeserving of such kindness.
„Now let us eat like one big happy family." Anzio smiled as many different dishes were brought before them.
He happily ate his meal trying to conceal his childlike excitement about eating actual food and not something as tastelles as rations and cup noodles.
He looked at the others and noticed they haven't started eating.
„What's wrong everyone ? Please partake." The maids and guardians were uneasy about eating at the same table as their Lord but they couldn't deny his wishes so they began eating.
Anzio finished with his meal and waited for everyone else to do the same.
„Thank you all once again for coming here, I hope we'll be able to eat like this together at least once a week if not every day." Anzio smiled and ignored how shocked his subordinates were.
„Now there is something else we need to discuss. As we are in a new world I have sent out shadow demons to collect information. If we determine there are no serious threats I plan on sending some of you out to gather more knowledge of this world. I myself plan to go outside and help with this.
Another collective ghasp could be heard. „My Lord if you plan on going outside we insist on you taking an escort to protect you." Demiurge spoke.
„Hmm if it will set everyone's hearts at ease I can live with that."
„Now I already sent shadow demons and they will report their findings to all of you. Sebas if you could find me a mirror of remote viewing I would appreciate it." Anzio smiled as Sebas bowed.
„Now... I know a lot of you have a deep hatred toward humans.. I won't reprimand you because of it because you were created this way but if we do find any innocent humans do not harm them. I know some of you were designed to enjoy torture and human suffering but I ask of you not to do anything before we gather more intel."
„We hear and obey." The guardians and Pleiades spoke in unison.
„Alright, please head back to your stations.. I'll wait for some shadow demons to come back before I step outside." Anzio decided thinking this would make the guardians worry less. He teleported to the library and tried to find some books on how to rule.
A few days later the shadow demons got back and reported their findings so Anzio assembled the guardians.
„Thank you all for coming." Anzio smiled as the guardians kneeled down.
„The shadow demons brought us some valuable info. We are currently located in the human kingdom of Re-Estize. They found no one powerful enough to concern us but we still must be careful. The shadow demons also noticed that the highest tier of magic they saw someone use was tier 3. There may be more powerfull individuals out there but it seems that it's hard for the humans to level up to use higher tiers." The guardians were relieved to hear such news.
„Also since movement between floors is limited I want all of you to take one of theese." Anzio handed them all rings of Ainz Ooal Gown.
„We are unworthy only Supreme Beings should wear theese." They protested.
„They are necessary to ensure the safety of this tomb. Consider them as a reward for your loyalty." Anzio smiled.
„We will serve you with even more devotion with every fiber in our bodies !" The guardians pledged their loyalty once again.
„Now.. let's go outside. There's a human village I found with the mirror of remote viewing I'd like to visit." Anzio smiled at the guardians.
„Hmm, Albedo and Aura can be my escorts.. Demiurge send some shadow demons and eight edge assasins to monitor the area around the village. If we run into something we can't deal with have Shalltear and Cocytus gate to help us. I doubt that will happen but better safe than sorry." He smiled as he put one hand on Aura's and one hand Albedo's shoulders and teleported all three of them outside of the tomb. It was still night time as a gentle summer breeze washed over the fields of grass.
„This is beautiful." Anzio gave Aura and Albedo a fly necklace. He proceeded to spread his wings and launch himself into the skies.
„I wish Blue Planet-sensei could see this…I loved listening to him talk about nature." Anzio gazed at the clearest night sky he has ever seen. Event he 6th floor couldn't match this.
„The stars remind me of a box of jewels.. just for the taking."
Albedo and Aura listened to Anzio intensely even though he was unaware of that.
„If you wish for us to take the world and present it to you Lord Anzio we will use all of Nazarick to acomplish that goal." Albedo spoke. She was in her full plate armor hovering next to him.
„Well.. taking over the world might be enjoyable.. but if we were to do that we must do so to protect it and keep it beautifull.. and protect the people of this world." Anzio decided.
„Oh what a kind master we have !" Albedo exclaimed but Anzio wasn't listening. Yeah like we could pull off something like world domination. He chuckled to himself as he brushed the idea away.
„The sun's about to rise." He smiled. „Let's land on that hill and watch the sunrise then we can go to the village when the sun is a bit higher in the sky." Anzio decided as they landed on one of Mare's artificial hills and watched the sun rise.
„Oh how romantic !" Albedo giggled like a school girl. She clung to Anzio wrapping her arm around his which made Anzio blush but he didn't want to reprimand her so he just watched the sunrise and ruffled Aura's hair. I never had any sibling.. but I wish I had someone as cute as Aura as my little sister. I was home alone for most of the time.. if I had a sister to care for maybe I would have a motivation to find a way to leave this world… but I think I'll stay here. I won't be lonely in this world. And maybe there are other players I could help. If there are I hope they are from Ainz Ooal Gown.. I know no one from our guild was online when the game ended besides me but I can hope.
Author's note: Hey everyone here's chapter 2 ! I made just a minor change to chapter one. Azrael's blade is a world level item now not a god level item. I hope you are enjoying the story. Please review and comment on it I can take some advice and constructive criticism !
