So I love the idea of fem Naruto and Naruto having an actual loving parental figure but I wanted to try something a lil different so I came up with the idea for this fic and I hope people enjoy it.
It will feature a Naruto who's actually taught one on one so is a lot stronger a lot faster, and the first few chapters will be slightly less detailed accounts of her as she grows up until she's twelve.
Also I want to know peoples opinions on ships. I was thinking probably Kakarin and I'm open to suggestions on Naruto's ship.
And as well as that I'd like to know what people think I should do about Team seven as Naruto will not be a member at first-but don't worry they will become a trio. I'm thinking that I will probably have them be a team of three due to the numbers of Academy students but I'm open to suggestions.
I am not Japanese I will not promise to use the honorifics right but I am gonna try for a lot of them and some of the words but I usually watch the dubs as I find it easier to follow so don't judge me!
Please, read, review and most importantly, enjoy.
The first thing Rin noticed when she came too was pain, pain so bad that she couldn't move, couldn't even scream from it. She felt as if there was a hole in her chest, which, she realized, as the events from earlier came back to her mind, there very probably was.
She could remember realizing that the Kiri Ninja had done something to her, sealed something inside of her, remembered begging Kakashi to kill her, so that she wouldn't hurt anyone. He had refused, she remembered that, but she'd leapt in the way of his Chidori.
Somehow though, somehow she seemed to be alive, perhaps it was whatever they'd sealed inside of her that was healing her enough to keep her alive.
That was a terrifying thought in and of itself, even a hole through her chest couldn't kill her right now. How was she supposed to stop the thing inside of her from hurting people and going on a rampage? She knew there was something she just knew it.
She shook her head as she slowly pushed herself up so that she was on her elbows, opening her eyes-and for a moment she thought that there was something wrong with her vision, because everything around her was red.
Then she noticed the smell, sharp and metallic and she noticed the feeling of sticky liquid coating her skin-too much to be all her own blood. She looked around slowly, horror filling her as she took in the sight of the world around her.
Bodies, every single one of the Shinobi who had been chasing her and Kakashi were dead. She let out a shaky whimper, shaking her head at the sight. Someone had killed them, had ripped them apart in the most bloody way possible.
The sight was sickening. Sure they were enemies and they'd had very bad plans for Konoha but... but no one deserved such a brutal end. Whoever had done this... it was pure rage. But who?
She let out a panicked noise when she remembered Kakashi-it couldn't have been him could it? He hadn't looked angry in those last moments before she passed out, he'd looked devastated and broken-because of her. She tried to force back that little voice in her mind that whispered how cruel she was, to have done that to Kakashi.
She'd tried to kill herself using him, and she knew what had happened to his father, she was worse, he hadn't just found her she'd forced him to be complicit. If she'd died he'd have never ever forgiven himself.
Her eyes found him quickly and she rushed to his side, the shock of silver stained with red but the clean parts were still vivid in the red surroundings-and she dropped to her knees in the lake of red, ignoring the feeling of blood splashing-it was ankle deep. God she'd never be free from the memories of this.
Rin took a deep breath, forcing back the urge to vomit. She was a trained Kunoichi, a medic there was no way she'd throw up. She could deal with gore-though admittedly she'd never dealt with quite so much of it at once before.
Once she reached him she reached out, pressing her fingers to her friends neck and finding his pulse, it was weak but steady enough that she wasn't too worried.
She turned him over carefully-on his side as he was there was the risk of him falling forward and face planting the blood and drowning in it. On his back he'd be safe and it gave her a few moments to think.
As guilty as she felt for using him as a weapon to kill herself, Rin was well aware of the fact that she posed a threat to the village which wasn't yet neutralized. She needed to learn more about what they'd done to her if she ever wanted to return home. The problem was Kakashi would never just let her go on her own, he wouldn't willingly return to the village without her if he knew she was alive.
And even if he did go without her he'd tell Minato-sensei and the blond would definitely come chasing after her and she knew for a fact he would find her and drag her home.
She could try and kill herself again, but there was no guarantee she'd manage and... now that she had time to stop and think she didn't want to die. She was only thirteen years old she had a future, a life to live.
So she'd leave, find a way to make sure it was safe and come home only then.
With that decision made all there was left to do was make plans.
Honestly if she just left Kakashi would assume she died and that her body was stolen. It was cruel and she felt terribly guilty for even considering it but what else could she do? It was the only way she could think of to protect Konoha.
So she let out a weary sigh and leaned over Kakashi, who was still unconscious and she pressed her lips to his head, brushing her fingers over his cheek. "I'll come home." her voice was barely more than a whisper, "I promise Kakashi I'll come home as soon as I can." with that said she was straightening up and turning her back, walking away quickly.
First she'd find a river or something to clean away the blood, then-well then she'd find somewhere to hide out while she tried to figure out what had been done to her.
And that was what she did. She cleaned up and left, finding a small village on the borders of the Land of Fire, where she stayed, wiping away the
Admittedly it was damn near impossible to research anything, but it wouldn't be much easier anywhere else.
And time passed, months and months.
Three months in and she'd heard of her Sensei's promotion, he was Hokage now and god but she wished she could congratulate him-ten months after the slaughter she heard news of the Kyuubi attacking Konoha-and how it had been released from Kushina's seal Rin had no idea, of the deaths of her sensei and the woman who had been a mother figure to her.
She'd cried for two weeks after that, heartbroken by the loss and the fact that they'd died not knowing she was alive-and for Kakashi, all alone, probably broken and lost and she couldn't do anything to help couldn't return yet.
Once she was able to pull herself together enough to focus once more she got to work again, and it was only when she was meditating that she finally learned what was going on with her, what they'd done to her.
She'd taken to Meditating to calm herself, since she spent most of her time stressed these days, and as she cleared her mind she felt a slight tugging sensation and suddenly was was in what looked like a large lush green field with beautiful trees surrounding it, and sat in the middle of it was a huge three tailed turtle, though it's shell was more crab like with spikes all over its body.
It had red eyes, though one of them was closed, and Rin stepped back, a scared look on her face.
"What are you?" she managed to breath out, her face pale.
"I am the Three-Tails." it spoke, "You've yet to earn my name."
"You're what they sealed inside of me? I don't understand... Three-Tails..." she hesitated, "Like the nine tails? The Kyuubi? I'm
a Jinchuriki" it was a terrifying thought, knowing what had happened to Kushina, that the Kyuubi had broken free and that her sensei and his beloved wife were dead because of it.
"Yes." the turtle nodded, "I know you've been trying to figure out what they sealed into you so I pulled you in here?"
"Where is here?"
"Your mind... it's not too shabby, comfortable enough for me." the giant turtle paused, "You're not so bad for a human, I know you've been staying away from your home to protect people."
"I.. they put you into me for a reason."
"They wanted me to rampage." the turtle nodded sagely, "They put some seal on your heart that would make me go crazy and take control, but your friend burned it off."
"So... so I could have gone home before now?" Rin breathed out, her eyes wide, "I could have gone straight home."
"I would have told you right away but it's taken me this long to make contact. I like you kid. Go home, get strong, maybe we can even learn to work together. Reunite with that friend of yours, maybe ease off on the guilt, it makes this place feel dark."
"I.." Rin nodded slowly, "Thank you." she smiled almost shyly at the demon. "I... I'll go." and then she was back in the real world, so to speak, and she gathered up her sparse collection of things and took off for Konoha, not even pausing to look back at the village she was leaving behind.
She was going home. She'd see Kakashi again, see her home.
The journey took just over seven hours at full speed with a few breaks too eat and catch her breath.
Rin was almost bouncing as she made her way into the village under a henge-she'd need to speak to the Sandaime first-as much as she hated it and wanted to run straight to Kakashi. He'd need to know what she was now.
So she slowed after she entered the village-and it was painful seeing the damage that the Kyuubi had caused in it's rampage-and Kami but she wished that she had answers as to why it had happened.
Kushina always said that the Kyuubi was safely locked away. Very few people even knew that the Uzumaki woman was a Jinchuriki.
Rin sighed to herself, pushing those thoughts away as she trotted through the village.
It was as she was passing the orphanage that she heard the cry, and she turned her head curiously-it was lunch time, and the kids had clearly been aloud out to play-most of them rushing around happily, or being carried around by their carers depending on their ages, to give them some air, all bar one, a little blonde baby in an orange onesie led on the grass of the little garden in the corner, away from the other children plaing.
Rin's brows furrowed. The baby didn't even look to be a month old and it was just led on the path. She frowned to herself, before relaxing slightly as a woman in the nursery uniform approached the baby with a bottle.
Instead of scooping the baby up though the woman tossed the bottle onto the ground next to the baby, a disgusted look on her face, and Rin quickly channelled Chakra into her ears when she saw lips moving and thanks to the Chakra enhanced hearing she heard the woman's sneer of 'Feed yourself Kyuubi freak." and Rin felt her blood run cold at the words.
Kyuubi freak? She watched the woman walk away and join another woman, who was holding the hand of a baby who looked to be just learning how to walk, and she listened to the woman laugh, "I gave the Kyuubi brat a bottle, she can feed herself."
"Sandaime-Sama should have just killed it." the other woman's voice was just as nasty, and Rin disliked her instantly, "It's a danger, oh he says Yondaime-Sama made sure the seal is tight and the baby should be viewed as a hero but I mean honestly."
"She'll be fine on the grass for now let's take Mei-Chan and see if she can take a few steps." they both turned their backs on the girl in the grass, and Rin watched them walk off, hesitating for a moment before making her way to the little girl in the grass, picking her up carefully-and that was bad, the fact that someone off the streets could just pick up a baby without being questioned.
She grabbed the bottle as well, before focusing her gaze on the baby as her mind worked.
Logically speaking it was obvious that the baby was a Jinchuriki-and where Rin got a good look at her she knew with a sinking heart why she'd been chosen.
The hair and eyes were shockingly familiar, she'd seen them more times than she could count on a man as fast as lightning and as warm as the sun, and the gummy smile that the baby gave her made Rin think of Kushina as she pressed the bottle into the babies mouth, bouncing her slightly as the girl latched on and started to feed.
There was no way that the child wasn't Kushina and Minato's. She looked so much like them both that it was nearly painful, and she brushed a finger over the little whisker marks on the smooth cheeks as the girl waved her little arms.
She wondered why no one had taken her in-but Kakashi would undoubtedly be too traumatized and Jiraiya travelled too much to raise a newborn. No neither of them would do... and... the clan heads would argue about who got her. No it just wouldn't work so she'd been dumped in an orphanage and everyone knew just what the girl was.
She hummed thoughtfully as she shifted her grip on the girl and bent down to pick up a dirty blanket that had been on the grass next to the girl-it had the Uzumaki spiral sewn into it-and Rin smiled faintly at the name embroidered in Kushina's familiar messy stitching along the edge.
Naruto.
And she'd be an Uzumaki, or Uzumaki-Namikaze, there was no Namikaze clan so the Uzumaki name would likely take precedence.
Maybe-but no she wouldn't be allowed to adopt Naruto either would she? Not if she told them she was a Jinchuriki, not if she stayed in Konoha.
She swallowed hard, mind racing before she took a deep breath, closing her eyes and taking a moment before carefully wrapping the blanket around the baby and henging her so that she had brown hair and eyes.
She'd leave the village with Naruto, raise her as a strong Kunoichi, raise her to be able to defend herself, and when the time came they'd come home, but only when Naruto was ready. She did feel some guilt over the decision-Kakashi would be even more alone, but she couldn't stay in Konoha and risk Naruto's safety, and she knew Kakashi would leave with her which wasn't what she wanted, she couldn't make him become a missing nin. So she'd have to learn to live with the guilt and she'd raise the girl as her own.
But she wouldn't deprive the girl of her heritage, Rin decided, she knew where Sensei and Kushina had lived, if she was quick she'd have time to go and get her Sensei's scrolls on the Rasengan, Hirashin and Fuinjutsu.
She did so quickly, sneaking into the home-which felt cold and lifeless now, and she quickly headed to Minato and Kushina's bedroom, to the seal on the wall Kushina had showed her so long ago-and because Kushina had showed her it she knew how to open it, which she did, quickly sealing away the scrolls and Kunai that had been hidden away, as well as a copy of her sensei's favourite book.
She smiled to herself when she was gone, shifting her grip on Naruto carefully before leaving the house and making her way through the streets of the village and out of the gates-and since she looked like a normal civilian no one questioned her or the baby she carried.
And soon enough she was out of the gates of Konoha and she took off at a run, clutching baby Naruto safely to her chest as she did.
She'd stop in a nearby village to get some milk and some necessities so she could care for Naruto and she'd figure out what to do and where to go after she'd done that.
She wanted somewhere somewhat isolated, without shinobi where she could train Naruto safely.
No matter what happened, she'd make sure Naruto was safe and loved.
