I own nothing this is a fanfiction to satisfy my own ideas. This story will not hinder my progress on my other stories but recently I have been having trouble finding inspiration for the other stories. Now on with my new story.

No One's Pov

A small boy with blonde hair is running for his life from the villagers. They started to gain on him since he was only 4 at the time. The strange part was that anyone that wasn't a shinobi only saw a blur of yellow pass by. For a heart beat some people thought it was their savior the 4th Hokage Minato Namikaze. The boy took a wrong turn and ran into a wall. He sat there disorientated for a minute. In this time the villagers caught up to him and started to attack him before a loud boom was heard. The blonde child dared open one eye and what he saw baffled him. There standing on top of a pile of those villagers was a man with long, white hair. At this point the man was wondering what a group of villagers were doing hurting a small child. Then he took notice of the hair.

'Well that explains a lot' Thought Jiraiya as he picked the small child up.

"What's your name?" Jiraiya asked in the softest tone he could make.

"It's Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki, what's your name? Thanks for saving me from those mean people." Naruto said catching the man off guard with his manners.

"My name is Jiraiya. It's nice to meat you Naruto." Said Jiraiya to the small child. The two started talking on the way to see the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"What's your favorite color?" Jiraiya asked to keep the child's mind off what just happened.

"My favorite color is Orange! What's your's?" Naruto asked being excited to talk about his favorite color.

"My favorite color would have to be blue. Why do you like orange so much?" Jiraiya asked wanting to get the attention off of him. (A/N I actually don't know Jiraiya's favorite color so I just used the color of the rasengan.)

"Orange is the best color ever! It stands out so much that I actually get attention." Naruto answered with a partially mature answer.

"Looks like were here." Said Jiraiya realizing where they are. When they entered Naruto ran over to Hiruzen.

"How have you been Naruto?" asked Hiruzen.

" I could be worse but this nice guy saved me from some mean people." Naruto said hugging Hiruzen.

"You must have been scared. I guess it was a good thing that I had Jiraiya report on the resent happenings." Hiruzen said making Naruto even more thankful for Jiraiya. Then Jiraiya stepped forward and gave a report of what happened and how his mission went. Naruto was different from most. He would try his hardest at anything that he wanted to accomplish. He would try his hardest even if he got it on his first try he would still do it until he could do it quicker and better. Of course Naruto's memory helped him out with remembering the steps.

One Week Later

Jiraiya had adopted Naruto not long after they first left just so Jiraiya could take care of Naruto. One day while reading a book to Naruto he noticed that Naruto could perfectly retell the story on accident revealed that he had perfect memory. So Jiraiya taught Naruto manners like how to eat properly, speak in turn and be polite to people that he hated. Naruto also learned how to use chakra to some extent and work on throwing accuracy. In the span of a week they grew very close but unfortunately Jiraiya had a mission and wouldn't be back for a few months.

"Now you behave yourself until I get back. Ok?' Jiraiya said to make sure Naruto didn't make any trouble.

"I'll be fine Dad." Naruto said. Jiraiya gave Naruto some money for food until he returned and was thankful that Naruto was a quick learner and could already take care of himself for at least a small amount of time. When Jiraiya left, Naruto felt a pang of loneliness. Naruto decided to look around the small apartment for something to do when he stumbled upon a box. Since he's a kid and always curious he opened it and found a weird looking kunai. Then he noticed the strange writing on it. He memorized the writing in case he messed it up so he could fix it. Then after playing with the strange kunai he set it back in the box and found a book called "A Tale Of A Gutsy Ninja" and fell in love with the book. Naruto started reading the book over and over again. No matter how many times he read it or memorized it, it was always something that he could read without losing interest in it.

Four Months Later

Naruto was working working with his writing so he could impress Jiraiya with his ability to write. He hoped one day he could make a book as good as Jiraiya's. No matter how long it took to perfect his paragraphs because he was so worried that Jiraiya wouldn't like it. Then he heard the door open.

"Hey, I'm home kid!" Jiraiya yelled to catch the attention of Naruto.

"Your finally home!" Naruto yelled as he rounded to corner and hugged Jiraiya.

"How have you been holding up?" asked Jiraiya wondering if anything happened.

"I've been good. How was your mission?" Naruto asked wanting to know what his dad did.

"It went well. Do you like to academy?" Jiraiya asked wanting to know what happened in the academy.

"It's good except stupid Mizuki." Naruto said with venom in his voice at the Mizuki part.

"Should I have a talk with this Mizuki person." Jiraiya asked already having a suspicion about the crazed teacher.

"Don't that would just get me in trouble during class." Naruto said not wanting trouble especially in school.

"Very well, what's this?" Jiraiya said walking over to the almost finished book.

"It's not done yet dad." Naruto said not wanting a bad reaction.

"H..h..how did you? This is amazing!" Jiraiya said amazed from the amount of detail that was in the book.

"It took a few weeks but I finally got started on it, and now it's almost done." Naruto said feeling pride with the reaction that he received from Jiraiya.

Six years later

Naruto is now 10 is 5 feet tall. He wears a bigger variation of his jumpsuit in cannon. He decided not to show off during his time in the academy so no one would look at him funny. (A/N Since he isn't stupid he doesn't like Sakura and in fact finds her annoying.) Naruto has taken to wearing weights and working out regularly to keep himself fit thanks to some advise from Jiraiya. Luckily for him Jiraiya knew someone that had plenty of weights laying around. That guy is none other than Gai. During Naruto's time at the academy he learned that most teachers hate him except Iruka. So it was no wonder when Mizuki gave him a Chunin level test for a basic assessment of knowledge. Naruto of course knew the answers but decided to play stupid. So he failed his test and got a lecture from Iruka all while Mizuki laughed in the background. Naruto was done with Mizuki's crap. Naruto realized that he was the container of the 9-tailed Fox due to his birtrhday the day the fourth died and the day the kyubi got 'killed'. Naruto got so fed up with Sasuke's crap about revenge that he almost threw a kunai at him.

After another boring lesson in the academy Naruto left to train. Naruto started off with his basic 500 push-ups, 1000 sit-ups, and 400 pull-ups. Then he did his usual 20 laps around the village. While running he saw Jiraiya walk through the gates. So Naruto decided to really push himself and sprint the last 200 yards.

"How have you been kid?" Jiraiya asked genuinely happy to see Naruto.

"I've been good, how was your mission?" Naruto replied making Jiraiya laugh. Naruto just had this way with people that they always smiled for some reason or another. It could be that his normally upbeat attitude was contagious or he was just that kind of person that always made people laugh or smile even in hard times.

"It went well. I'll see you back home, ok?" Jiraiya asked knowing the academy was over for the day and was now on his workout routine.

Two Years Later

Naruto is 12 years old and 5 feet 5 inches tall. He has black ninja pants and a black jacket with orange stripes along the arms and sides, with an Uzumaki symbol on the back with a small almost unnoticeable Namikaze symbol on the bottom of the inside of the jacked that Jiraiya added. Most people would mistake Naruto for a younger version of Minato due to his longer hair. (A/N Naruto decided to use a genjutsu so that his height and looks are different but his clothes are the same) Naruto decided to keep up his act as an obnoxious loud mouth with no manners. So when he got to the academy the whole class was in shock when Naruto walked in with his new outfit.

"Shame that an outfit can't fix your nonexistent skill." Jabbed Sasuke because he was jealous of the outfit.

"Sasuke-kun is right Naruto, so stop trying to be cool like Sasuke-kun." said the pink banshee herself. Naruto painfully keeping up his act responded.

"Sorry Sakura-chan, will you go a date with me!" Then the normal reaction of her hitting Naruto on the head with her fist. Naruto didn't actually feel the pain of the hit but still said "OWWW!" while holding his head. Then the tests started. First part was the book knowledge portion. The next was the accuracy test, and finally was the jutsu test. Naruto unwillingly forced himself to fail all the tests.

"You fail Naruto." Said Iruka sadly. Mizuki couldn't hide his glee at least from Naruto. The thing that set Naruto off is that this whole ploy was just to catch Mizuki in the act of something traitorous to get rid of the snakes source of info. Not long after Naruto was sitting on the swing swinging sideways. Then Mizuki approached him 'Caught him now.' thought Naruto.

"It sucks that you didn't make it to genin, but there is another super secret way to become a genin are you in?" asked Mizuki laughing crazily inside his own head.

"Really, I'm in!" Said Naruto while inwardly face palming. Then Mizuki gave a run down of what he was suppose to do. Then Naruto did it 3 hours early. Naruto decided to read the scroll. When he started reading it he found the Shadow Clone Jutsu, along with the Flying Raijin Jutsu. So Naruto started working on both. Thanks to his memory he was able to do the Kage bushing no jutsu perfectly but the flying Raijin jutsu was much more difficult. So when Mizuki arrived Naruto was about to jump out and attack until Iruka landed near Mizuki. Iruka looked hurt and was in a lot of pain but decided to protect Naruto from the crazy chunin.

"Naruto is not the monster sealed in him. He is Naruto Uzumaki the future Hokage." Iruka shouted to make sure Naruto knew that he would protect him.

"So this crazy traitor tries to kill my favorite teacher, breaks who knows how many laws, and tries to kill a kid. Is that it or has he done more?" Naruto says walking out of the trees. Then sends a deathly glare at Mizuki.

"You touch him again and I will not hesitate to kill you on the spot." Naruto said in his coldest tone. Then he creates ten thousand clones to deal with him while Naruto goes over to heal Iruka. When Naruto finished patching up Iruka he was told to close his eyes. He did just that then felt a weight on his forehead. He opened his eyes and saw that Iruka's headband was gone. Then he touched his forehead and felt metal. Then Naruto smiled and so did Iruka. Then they left to get ramen.
