Chapter 9: Meet Montague
I don't know how we got here, but I definitely don't mind it at all.
Draco had gone to the locker room to get ready for the day after our morning practice, yet somehow I ended up straddling him on one of the leather couches.
We went on our date last night. I begged for it to be casual, knowing he'd take me to a fancy restaurant I wouldn't even be able to pronounce the name of. He opted for Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop considering it wouldn't be crowded and we'd have more privacy. I don't know what I would have done if one of my friends saw us together.
The date went well, especially since it seems we couldn't keep our hands off each other till I finally pushed away and slipped through the portrait door in the gryffindor towers. I had never been so handsy in my life. It seemed like Draco would just look at me and I wanted to pounce him.
"We need to get ready for school" I panted down at him as he ran his callused hands up the back of my shirt.
Draco shook his head, "No thanks, I'm rather comfortable here"
As much as I agreed that I could spend all day with him, snogging on the couch, we did need to get going soon. I planted one last peck on his jaw and sat up. His hands went to rest on my hips, his thumbs rubbing my bare skin sending shivers down my spin. I put my hands on his chest to stop him from pushing up to me, "No Draco, I'm serious"
He groaned, "At least make a compromise with me"
I almost didn't hear him, too distracted by his hands on my hips, "Huh?"
He laughed as he said looking off as if it's no big deal "How about I shower, and we continue this there?"
My eyes widened. "You mean shower with you?"
He shrugged, continuing the slowly, sensual circles on my waist. As I gaped at him, he must've taken that as his answer. He lifted off him with ease, and moved over to his cubby, grabbing a towel. "Don't wait for me" He threw over his shoulder as he made his way to the showers.
I scrambled off the couch, rolling my eyes. If this posh git wasn't so dramatic he would've heard me expect his shower request, I was just in too much shock to answer. We haven't done anything more than just passionate snogging and by going to this shower, I don't know what would be expected.
I grabbed an extra towel from a rack that was in the entry to the showers, making my way to Draco's designated stall.
Yes, they even have their own stalls, never having to share a shower with anyone else. Spoiled brats.
I walked past the changing curtain to the small little room that had a bench and hooks to place your things. The gryffindor's don't even have their own showers, let alone their own private changing spaces for before and after showers.
I sighed, shucking my thin jacket off and placing it on one of the hooks. I kept looking at the privacy glass door that led to the shower, hoping Draco hadn't noticed me yet.
It took me a while but I finally got my jeans off, the steam from Draco's shower making them stick to me. I prayed my hair hadn't gotten too frizzy as I unhooked my bra and stripped from my knickers. I took a deep breath, gaining the confidence I needed to join Draco in the shower.
I opened the door, fully revealing myself to him as he turned around startled. I watched his eyes roam freely over my exposed body, having never seen it before. I let him, only for the fact I was doing the exact same thing. I drifted from his broad shoulders all the way down to his buff chest, following the line down over his abs.
I have seen these all before, but they still knocked the breath out of me. Biting my lip, I excitedly looked down, and finally saw what I have been feeling on my body through his trousers when he was aroused.
Draco Malfoy's cock.
I actually gasped out loud when I caught sight of it. He was still stirred up after our snogging earlier because it was standing at attention, right up against him.
"Can you manage?"
My mouth was dry. "Pardon?"
He chuckled as I looked over him. He was long, but still had bulk, adding even more size. Ron was on the average side, but I had never thought about it till seeing Draco. Having felt it before, it didn't seem as big, but looking back I was an idiot for even considering him as average.
"Are you sure you can manage it, Granger?" He asked again.
I looked up to his amused grey eyes. Having no words, I just nodded looking back down continuing my journey of his body.
He had quidditch thighs for sure. I would pay money just to get myself off on one of them. Upon seeing his thighs I was tempted to ask him to turn around so I could finally see the firm arse I can't help but look at while he struts around in his quidditch trousers.
When I made eye contact with him a second time, his eyes were still on me, not having spent much time running over my body as I did compared to him. I averted my eyes, finding more interest in the door hinges than the fit body in front of me.
"Hermione, you don't have to shower with me, I was only jocki-"
"No!" I said quickly looking back over to him. Taking a small breath, I tried not to sound so eager to shower with him "I mean no, it's fine that you asked, I was even going to say yes till you stormed off like a little boy"
He rolled his eyes crossing his arms. "I did not storm off-"
"It would help your cause if you'd just agree with me you were being dramatic so we could start this shower" I smirked, interrupting him.
He opened his mouth a couple times, the water running over him like rain. He sighed, "Fine, I apologies for storming off" He reached his hand out to me, "Now get over here"
I giggled as he pulled me into his embrace, slightly under the stream of steaming water. He had turned me around so the back of me was against his front. It didn't even take a second before his lips were attached to my neck. "Draco" I sighed, my body already relaxing against his strong hold.
I gasped as he ran one of the hands that had been resting on my hips, up the middle line of my abdomen, slowly moving to cup one of my breasts. Gasping as he slowly started to pinch and roll my already hardened nipple in his hand, he chuckled against my neck, continuing his cruel assault.
I wanted to scold him for laughing, but somehow my vocal cords weren't working, so I did what I knew would work as an equal punishment. I back my rear up against his sex, having to go on my tip toes from height difference, tempting him. It sounded like he almost growled against me, the hand on my hip tightening to keep me in place.
"Don't do that if you can't handle the outcome, Granger"
I laughed as he switched hands, the one that had been gripping my hip, moving to the other breast that had been aching for attention while the other hand returned to gripping my hips in place. "Who says I can't handle the outcome?" He bit down on the soft spot between my neck and jaw, my laughter stopping immediately, my body growing in heat.
As if he felt my body grow hotter from the inside out, he moved the lower of the two hands down my body, closer to my center. I knew as soon as he finally touched me he'd discover how wet I am from just his slight, slow touches. I couldn't even blame the water, it's been blocked from hitting me by Draco's huge frame.
"May I?" He asked, his hand hovering just over where I needed it.
I almost felt like squirming, this was the most sensual experience I've ever been given. "Yes" I pleaded after I realized he wouldn't take my nod as an answer.
At a frustratingly slow pace he slips his solid, callused fingers through my folds. He kept kissing and nipping at my neck while he explored me with only one of his fingers. I held back a groan when he finally touched my bundle of nerves. My body felt like it was on fire, he hadn't even started yet and it felt like too much, the steam, the biting, the pinching.
Shifting his head to the other side of my neck, the angle our bodies so water was now running down the both of us. Despite already being hot, the hot water made me even more relaxed.
Sadly as he started to circle my clit, I couldn't hold back my moan this time. I felt him smile against me. "Feel good?" He asked, lifting his head slightly to look at me.
I bit my lip to keep from moaning again. I peeked my eyes over to look at his face, finding it glued to my lips. He moved in fast to kiss me, moving the hand that was fondling my breast to my jaw, holding me to his mouth. I eagerly let his tongue join mine as another digit joined in circling my core.
I didn't even realize I was panting, till he moved his hand back to my chest. My body felt overwhelmed, but in the best way. I was close. I could feel it. Apparently, so could Draco as he finally let one finger slip into me, but only to quickly retreat out.
Groaning, I stomped my foot. He laughed openly now, not one of his silent chuckles. "Patience" He cooed before drawing my face back in for a breath stealing kiss.
I could feel him all over me, and I loved it. Pressing my backside up against him again, I was rewarded with the smallest sigh from Draco.
As he quickened the pace with his hand, no longer just slipping his finger inside, but curling it, I had to stop the kiss. I threw my head back against his shoulder, letting out a moan openly, knowing I couldn't have hidden it. It felt too good to even care. "Good girl, Hermione. Let me hear you" Draco whispered against my ear, before he bit it, sliding two fingers into me.
The pace was growing faster but he kept it precise. Merlin, he knew exactly what he was doing. My legs started feeling weak from rubbing myself up against him on my toes. Draco then tightly wrapped his arm around my waist, hunching over slightly. I was completely surrounded by him, no water was hitting me anymore.
"You're close aren't you?" He asked, pressing his thumb even more on my clit. I nodded my head numbly, pleasure building intensely in my lower abdomen. I didn't even notice my hands were gripping at his thighs, nails most likely digging into them, but he didn't seem to mind.
He titled my head to the side, giving him full access to my neck. Diving in, he found a spot I hadn't even known existed. Sucking on my sensitive skin, circling me just right, I fell apart in his arms with a loud cry.
He didn't stop till I was completely done and useless in his arms. I turned around resting my head on his shoulder. "Thank you" I sighed, still catching my breath. I felt him chuckling, so I lifted my hand and weakly swatted at him. "Don't laugh at me"
He tilted my chin up to look at him, he looked completely amused. "I don't mean to laugh, I just don't think anyone has ever thanked me before"
I shrugged my shoulders, "Well no ones ever really done that to me before"
He furrowed his eyebrows, "What do you mean? I thought you've had sex"
"I have," I said, getting completely distracted by running my hands leisurely over his body. "But Ron had never been so...attentive"
Draco shook his head, blowing out air while he wrapped his arms tightly around me "Well you'll never have to worry about that ever again, just give me a look and I'll be on you in a second"
I laughed, wiggling out of his arms to finally get fully wet under the shower. I let myself relish in the feeling before whipping my eyes, only to see Draco standing there watching me. I looked down, the intensity of my situation hitting me. I was in the shower, naked, with Draco Malfoy, who just got me off with his fingers.
He walked forward into my view of the ground, I immediately felt guilty when I saw he was still, definitely, hard. "Oh," I gasped, moving my hand towards him, "I'm sorry, I'm sure I should-"
He grabbed my hand, weakly pushing it away. "Don't worry about it, we'll be late if we continue"
I frowned, protesting again, but he reassured me he'd be fine, and that it was fair I got all the attention for once. I smiled to myself as he soon started to lather shampoo in his hands, moving them out to me, as if asking for permission to touch my mane. Nodding, he massaged the shampoo into my hair. It smelled like him, minty.
As he continued later with the conditioner, his hands got tangled and caught a couple times, which we both laughed off, but it was far more pleasant having someone else wash your hair. He was gentle as he lathered my body in a, once again minty, soap.
I repeated his actions, thankful he let me. I love the excuse of washing him to run my hands all over his defined body and in his silky hair.
When we were done we agreed we spent far too much time in the shower and that we needed to hurry before we were late to our first periods, having to miss breakfast. Mine was Charms, his being Transfiguration.
We parted with a reluctant, hidden kiss behind a statue.

In Charms I couldn't help my insides fluttering at the thought of seeing him at practice later. By the end of class all I could think about was getting to the pitch, even though I still had a whole day ahead of me.
"Hermione!" I was startled out of my daze by Ginny, who had evidently been calling my name for the past minute or so.
I heard Daphne snicker next to me, but I ignored her, looking to my other side to see Ginny, arms crossed, glaring down at me. "Yes?" I asked innocently.
"What's wrong with you?"
I was a bit taken back by her statement, not knowing what I had done. "What are you talking about Ginny?"
She sighed, uncrossing her arms, "I never see you anymore," she then pointed at Daphne, who looked very amused "Then you start hanging out with...with these slytherins," pointing towards me, she looked exhausted with my actions "And today, you look so gleeful it has me wondering if you shagged anyone, but you said you weren't with Pucey"
"Ginny! Lower your voice" I hissed, as I noticed people starting looking at us.
She huffed, "No, your behavior has been absurd as of late. You weren't even paying attention in charms!"
I rolled my eyes, glaring at a giggling Daphne, before standing to lay a comforting hand on Ginny's shoulder. "Ginny, it's my last year, I'm just having fun, branching out, it's nothing for you to worry about"
"So you've just been having fun, away from all your friends you've had for years?"
I reassured her. "I don't know what to tell you, I love you and the others, but I just needed time to myself, to give myself a chance at change. Nothing is wrong with me, I'm just living the last of my days having fun, even if it's not with the gryffindors or Luna"
Ginny was still looking at me curiously, but then Flitwick dismissed class. I turned around, quickly gathering up my things when she spoke again "So you're okay?"
I nodded, giving a small smile "Very"
I left Ginny, following Daph out into the corridors. "You're going to have to tell her eventually" She said when we were finally away from others.
I sighed, "I know, it's just too hard right now, and I can't be distracted"
"I guess, but Hermione," Daphne stopped to look at me directly. "Whatever happens, don't let it affect Draco. You know he wants your relationship to be out in the open so don't let this fear of lions hurt what you two have, because we both know that will crush Draco"
"Don't worry, I won't" I shook my head, continuing our walk. "So, tell me about Graham Montague" I said, hoping to make the conversation's subject lighter.
This changed Daph's demeanor greatly, always the one to gossip. She had little on him, just that he's very attractive and has girls constantly swooning over him, but he accepts no one, always choosing to ride solo.
"Why do you ask?"
Shrugging, I said, "Cause on my bulletin, he's the one replacement we had, apparently he's good enough he was next in line for any position on the team, and now that Flint is gone, he's up to play"
Daphne practically squealed, "Oh that's great, I haven't seen him play in ages"
"Calm down Daph, you're with Blaise remember" I laughed.
She rolled her eyes, "Of course I remember, but the last time I saw Graham play was at least 2nd year, maybe 3rd. He and Flint always had issues, very much like Flint and Draco. That's why Flint never placed him on the team"
I felt saddened knowing he was held back so long all because of Flint. I really need to readjust their tryout operations. First they have to be fun, second they need to be liked by the Captain, who knows what else they get up to at tryouts.
"Well, I can't wait to meet him" I smiled, before we made our way down the winding path to Hagrid's hut for Care of Magical Creatures.
~0~
I eagerly waited for Montague to show up.
I had sent him a charmed note at lunch making him aware he's on the team now. I probably should've asked him to practice with us even if he wasn't on the team, but considering he seems so well rounded he is everyone's stand-in, he must be good enough. It is a bit nerve racking though, having a new player join the team five days before we play at the Quidditch House Cup, but this team has always amazed me.
After he hadn't shown up for the prep meeting, we decided to skip the meeting and do it after practice, in hopes of having Montague there then.
The boys luckily still worked like a well oiled machine during their drills, seamlessly passing the quaffle around, or perfectly dodging bludgers. I found myself smiling up at them as I waited. Now that Flint is gone, the team automatically seems and feels brighter. A weight having been lifted off our shoulders.
Draco was practicing his dives, flying up to a high point then circling around the pitch to pick up speed, only to drop and dive unexpectedly. Since the incident with Flint, I have seen a great improvement in Draco's flying, I can't help but wonder why.
He must've caught me smiling at the group in the air as he waved down at me from high up. I tentatively waved back, not wanting to draw attention to myself and distract the others. Draco and I haven't been very open about our blooming relationship to the other players, but after the Flint episode, I think they're starting to catch on.
Blaise, who was closest to the ground where I was, saw our small exchange and yelled over at me "How come you get to wave at Draco, and Daphne isn't even allowed to look at me?!"
I laughed, shrugging my shoulders. Draco replied for me, having flown down when he saw Blaise preparing to be himself, "Because Blaise, you're shite at Quidditch"
Blaise retorted by lifting a leg and kicking Draco in the shin, starting a little showdown between the two. Draco having retorted by punching Blaise's shoulder. I looked up at the bleachers where Daphne and Pansy sat. Daphne was laughing at Blaise while Pansy rolled her eyes at their childish behavior.
Too caught up in the brawl, I didn't notice a figure approach behind me.
"Graham!" Adrian shouted, swooping down off the broom to greet the new team mate. I turned to see Graham Montague standing at the entrance of the pitch, already in his gear and carrying his broom.
I hadn't really seen him around school before this moment, but Daph was right, he is very attractive. He reminds me a lot of Viktor Krum, he has a slight scowl, very tall and broad with muscles.
Everyone soon joined us on the ground as I walked over to Montague, "Hi, I'm Hermione, I'm the teams manager"
He looked over at me, appraising me, before giving a curt nod, "Montague"
I looked at the others who all seemed joyful to have Montague with us. Raising a brow curiously to myself, I turn back to him, "I sent you a note that practice started at 4 today, you're late"
"Apologies" He said, continuing to give me the same blank expression. Does this man only speak in one word?
I struggled to keep a smile on my face as I stated everyone's names and positions on the team, it probably wasn't needed, but I felt it was necessary just in case. "And you'll be replacing Flint as our new Keeper"
This time he just nodded, then hopped on his broom and flew to the hoops, ready for practice. I stared in awe. Who is this guy? I looked over to Draco who had been wearing an amused grin across his face the whole exchange.
"So what do you think of Graham?" He asked.
I struggled to find an answer, "I really don't know"
Theo budded in then, having been listening to the conversation "Something Hermione Granger doesn't know?" He gasped.
I shoved him lightly in the shoulder, "I'll know once I see him play, because that's what matters"
Soon practice finally started. It was going well, till, it just wasn't.
Blaise would shoot for a post and Montague would either get it or he wouldn't. Everything was very 50/50 with everyone. Even Montague throwing the quaffle back into the game messed up play patterns.
Then everything just became a train wreck. Someone would get distracted and miss a play, or someone got too confident and fucked up a play.
I gave up taking notes half way through, the only person not failing being Draco. He stayed off by himself doing his normal routine. It makes sense that someone as private as Draco plays the one role that doesn't involve relying on the other players.
The practice was torturing me so much, I had to cut it early. Everyone once entering the locker room sat down, waiting for me to speak. Montague even did so as if this was routine for him.
"Practice was bloody awful" I said, placing my hands on my hips. "It was going so well, then you all stopped communicating and everything went to hell"
They all nodded along. I raised my eyebrows, looking expectantly for an explanation. Theo raised his hand "I think we're just out of practice without Flint, he did things differently"
"In what way?" I asked.
Blaise answered the question, "He left no room for freedom or decision, everything we've always done was based on Flint's moves." He pointed over to Montague, "And Graham plays like an actual Keeper, willing to play as a team and not being an arse like Flint was"
I nodded, thinking to myself. We don't have much time for them to practice before the game on Friday. Not enough time to come up with new play patterns or sequences with Montague that will be consistent enough to play at the next game.
I worried my lip between my teeth, knowing I'd have to figure something out. Right before I gave up, a thought came to mind. It's perfect. It's my job to make sure they do the best they can, and I might know the way.
"Come to practice tomorrow with your best trainers and short trousers" I announced, feeling pleased with my plan.
Draco chuckled to himself next to me, I looked down glaring "What's funny this time?
"You think some of us purebloods have trainers?"
I rolled my eyes, "If you don't have trainers, I suggest you find some to wear"
He leaned forward, smirking up at me, resting his elbows on his knees, "Or what, Granger?" I gave him a fake smile before kicking him in the shin, exactly where Blaise kicked him earlier. "Ow! Hermione!"
I shrugged "Don't get cheeky with me"
I turned my attention back on the whole group, who were now, besides Montague, giving Draco and I sly looks.
I started to pass out small pieces of paper and pens (and instructions for pens for the purebloods), as I said "I will be collecting a vote for who everyone thinks the next Captain should be, so write their name on the paper and keep it anonymous" I went back to my spot in front of the group "Give it to me before you leave" I smiled.
They all mumbled variations of 'ok' as I dismissed them. I waited in a chair by the door as they all prepared to leave for the night, doing my best not to eye Draco as he changed or follow him when he went to shower.
Not to my surprise, Draco was the last person I had to wait for. "And where's your vote?" I asked, sauntering up to him
I laid a hand on his warm chest as he answered "I'll give it to you tomorrow"
Shaking my head I said, "You can't, I need it now"
He pursed his lips slightly, looking up as if contemplating whether he should or not. "No, tomorrow" He said, brushing by me, and straight out the door.
I stood in shock for a few seconds before quickly grabbing my things and following him out. He was walking slowly up the hill, as if he wanted me to catch up with him.
I ran around in front of him, dropping my bag at his feet. I huffed, looking up at his dumb smile "Don't be difficult, Draco. You're abusing your power with me. Be nice and just give me the paper, easy as that. Just like everyone else"
Bending down to pick up my bag, he placed it on the same shoulder as his. I furrowed my eyebrows "What are y-"
I was cut off as Draco bent, grabbed me behind my knees and hoisted me over his shoulder. I kicked at him but he wasn't letting go as he laughed, continuing the walk to the castle. I could've escaped, but I honestly didn't mind the view of his arse so much.
"I said I'll give you the paper tomorrow, I need time to think about my decision" He said casually against my flailing legs. "Now, Granger, I'm tired, and you're probably tired whether you'd admit it or not. Give up this argument, and let's get back to our dorms"
I groaned, knowing he was right and I am, in fact, tired. Especially after having a very active day with no rest. I pinched his rear which earned a squeak, "Fine," I said, "But just this once, because it's a bit fun being carried like this"
He laughed and looked back at me, "Noted" He winked.
I couldn't wipe the grin off my face as he carried me back to the entrance of the castle, where we sadly had to part. Before setting me down, he gave my bum a spank, then threw me down. I gasped, preparing to yell at him when I lost balance, but he drew me in, holding me, swallowing my words with a heated, yet short, kiss.
"See you tomorrow morning, Granger" He said before jogging inside the castle.
I stood, slowly cracking a smile at our exchange. Moments like those are what I cherish as I walk back to my dorm. It baffles me how quickly Draco and I connected after being enemies for so long. Has he always been like this? Not possible, no one can be a prick, but then have this soft side like Draco does.
It also makes me think about Draco and other occasions, with other people. He never seems as relaxed, besides being on a broom or with his best mates, Blaise and Theo.
Before bed I wrote down mental notes to ask Draco later, also adding my plan for tomorrow's practice.
Tomorrow will be draining from all parties involved, but they'll just have to trust me.
