CHAPTER ONE - PART ONE

Truck-kun is a Fiend, not a Friend

A pair of golden orbs showed themselves. After his blurry sight focused, his lips parted.

"Where am I?"

Confused, he extended his palm and rubbed his throat.

"Where am I?" He repeated.

He stared blankly to the white ceiling. He did not recognize his own voice. For one, it was the voice of a child's. Wary and cautious, he then sat up. Upon looking around, he found that he was in an unfamiliar but familiar child's bedroom. His head throbbed.

He held his head in his hand and saw blonde locks falling down in front of his eyes. His hair was black, not… no wait, his hair is blonde. "What's going on?" It left his lips without much thought.

His thoughts were jumbled up. He recognized the room as his bedroom even though his bedroom was not like this. "My name… Rei… Denki…?" he stared blankly at the clock in the wall in front of him. "Denki?" He repeated, confused.

*knock knock*

The door opened and there was a middle aged woman. The woman looked at him in surprise. "Ara… It's Saturday. I'm surprised that you're awake already, Denki-chan."

'Who is this woman? I don't know… her…'

"Tsubaki-san…?"

The woman smiled a little. "Yes, good morning, Denki-chan. I'll draw the curtains now, alright?"

He nodded a little. "Okay."

He looked around and saw the tall mirror near the door. He got out of his bed and headed to the mirror. Upon seeing the reflection in the mirror, memories rushed into his mind and he stumbled backward. He fell on his rear and he saw his eyes widened impossibly from his reflection.

Soft silky but spiky blonde hair with black parts, big golden cat-like monolid eyes, and short eyebrows… he's surprisingly cute and adorable. More adorable than 'Denki' was portrayed. The 'Denki' that appeared in the manga update he was reading as he crossed the road… ahh…

"I see now… This is isekai truck-kun's fault," he blurted, seeing his own shocked and startled expression from the mirror's reflection.

*blink blink*

"Hmm? Who's isekai truck-kun, Denki-chan?" The middle-aged woman asked.

The blonde snapped his head to the woman, his lips were parted. For a while, they stared at each other. He didn't know what he should say in this situation. 'Um…'

"It's… a friend's nickname?" He replied unsurely.

He doesn't know either. He was hit by a truck and he most likely died from it. His twenty two year old self left the world just like that and now he… merged with 'Kaminari Denki'?

"Hee… what a peculiar nickname. Please don't call your friend that, Denki-chan. Your friend may not like that and instead get hurt every time they're called that," Tsubaki requested.

*blink blink*

"Ah…" he managed. "I understand," Denki said, smiling weakly. "I won't call them that anymore."

He definitely can't call Isekai Truck-kun a friend. If he is, he wouldn't send him to Boku no Hero Academia, especially as the dumbass Kaminari Denki.

'What the hell… and I was supposed to get my paycheck tomorrow, too. Geez…'

Their memories have assimilated after he took a long nap.

After taking a long nap, he sat on his bed, organizing his thoughts. Important things to note are the fact that Kaminari Denki is turning four in a week, he hasn't awakened his quirk yet, and he is practically living alone. His only parent is his father but he is never home, and although Tsubaki is nice, she keeps appropriate distance and doesn't go out of her way to treat him like a family. She arrives in the morning, prepares his meals, takes him to and from the kindergarten he goes to, cooks and cleans the house, and leaves after dusk.

It doesn't matter since Denki isn't 'Denki'. Rei's parents passed away a year ago in a car accident when he was twenty one and his older brother and sister have both married. It's pretty darn obvious that his choices are either death or a life as Denki, so if he's going to do this… he actually prefers it this way. It was convenient.

Besides, 'Denki' isn't particularly fond of his father either. The man is barely around. Instead of him, 'Denki' was utterly fond of his mother who passed away after giving birth to him. Tsubaki had told him how the woman had carried him inside her stomach for a very long time, explaining to him how arduous pregnancy is and how dangerous giving birth is. Tsubaki told him how she knew his late mother and how the woman had truly loved him. That's why 'Denki' is fond of his late mother instead of his father who provides him everything he needs and more.

After thinking about his situation calmly and arriving at a conclusion he can accept, he got out of the bed and looked for food. He felt really hungry now. How can he deal with his situation while being hungry anyway?

He realized that although his bedroom isn't large, he has everything he needs and they're arranged neatly and with care. He doesn't know what Denki's father does for a living. Is it interior design? It's possible with the colorful but gentle colors of his bedroom and the furniture inside. There were two doors in his bedroom. One was the one Tsubaki had come and exited from, and another one… must be the bathroom.

'Bingo,' he thought upon the sight of the shower stall and the toilet next to it. There wasn't a bathtub, but since he's a child, he wondered why he was given a bedroom with a bathroom at all. What if he slipped and fell while alone? Would Tsubaki realize?

He walked out of the small bathroom and his bedroom. Upon walking out, he realized that his home isn't an apartment. It's not big, but it's a house. For some reason, his memories about his house are vague. Does it mean 'Denki' doesn't understand the layout of his own home?

Then again, he's barely four. Rei, now Denki, knew from earlier that he's tiny. But now that he's walking around, he realized fully how everything was humongous.

"Tsubaki-san?" He called curiously from the hallway.

The lady showed herself. "Ah, Denki-chan~ Did you have a nice nap?"

He nodded meekly. "Tsubaki-san, I'm hungry…" as if on cue, his stomach growled loudly.

His lips parted in shock before his face went beet red. "Ah…"

Tsubaki laughed. "My! What an energetic stomach haha~ Come now, I've prepared lunch. Eat lots and grow big and strong. There's no one you can rely on except yourself, Denki-chan."

Denki was sure it isn't just his instinct saying that her tone was sad. The woman sounded sad.

"Mm, okay. I will grow up big and strong." He doesn't need anybody telling him how he only has himself to rely on. He knows that. "I will eat everything but bell peppers, eggplants, and carrots!"

Tsubaki's lips twitched in amusement. "Please. How can anybody grow big and strong without eating carrots, bell peppers, and eggplants?"

Denki puffed his lips. "I can. I will totally do it!"

He can totally do this… this isekai thing, survive, and grow old here.
